The mechanism of the [(Cp*MCl2)2] (M=Rh, Ir)‐catalyzed oxidative annulation reaction of isoquinolones with alkynes was investigated in detail. In the first acetate‐assisted C? H‐activation process (cyclometalated step) and the subsequent mono‐alkyne insertion into the M? C bonds of the cyclometalated compounds, both Rh and Ir complexes participated well. However, the desired final products, dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives, were only formed in high yield when the Rh species participated in the final oxidative coupling of the C? N bond. Moreover, a RhI sandwich intermediate was isolated during this transformation. The iridium complexes were found to be inactive in the oxidative coupling processes. All of the relevant intermediates were fully characterized and determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Based on this mechanistic study, a RhIII→RhI→RhIII catalytic cycle was proposed for this reaction.  相似文献

Chelating amine and amido complexes of late transition metals are highly valuable bifunctional catalysts in organic synthesis, but complexes of bidentate amine-NHC and amido-NHC ligands are scarce. Hence, we report the reactions of a secondary-amine functionalised imidazolium salt 2a and a primary-amine functionalised imidazolium salt 2b with [(p-cymene)RuCl(2)](2) and [Cp*MCl(2)](2) (M = Rh, Ir). Treating 2a with [Cp*MCl(2)](2) and NaOAc gave the cyclometallated compounds Cp*M(C,C)I (M = Rh, 3; M = Ir, 4), resulting from aromatic C-H activation. In contrast, treating 2b with [(p-cymene)RuCl(2)](2), Ag(2)O and KI gave the amine-NHC complex [(p-cymene)Ru(C,NH(2))I]I (5). The reaction of 2b with [Cp*MCl(2)](2) (M = Rh, Ir), NaO(t)Bu and KI gave the amine-NHC complex [Cp*Rh(NH(2))I]I (6) or the amido-NHC complex Cp*Ir(C,NH)I (7); both protonation states of the Ir complex could be accessed: treating 7 with trifluoroacetic acid gave the amine-NHC complex [Cp*Ir(C,NH(2))I][CF(3)CO(2)] (8). These are the first primary amine- or amido-NHC complexes of Rh and Ir. Solid-state structures of the complexes 3-8 have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complexes 5, 6 and 7 are pre-catalysts for the catalytic transfer hydrogenation of acetophenone to 1-phenylethanol, with ruthenium complex 5 demonstrating especially high reactivity.  相似文献

Reaction of [Cp*Ir(micro-H)](2) (5) (Cp* = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5)) with bis(dimethylphosphino)methane (dmpm) gives a new neutral diiridium complex [(Cp*Ir)(2)(micro-dmpm)(micro-H)(2)] (3). Treatment of 3 with methyl triflate at -30 degrees C results in the formation of [(Cp*Ir)(H)(micro-dmpm)(micro-H)(Me)(IrCp*)][OTf] (6). Warming a solution of above 0 degrees C brings about predominant generation of 32e(-) Ir(II)-Ir(II) species [(Cp*Ir)(micro-dmpm)(micro-H)(IrCp*)][OTf] (7). Further heating of the solution of 7 up to 30 degrees C for 14 h leads to quantitative formation of a new complex [(Cp*Ir)(H)(micro-Me(2)PCH(2)PMeCH(2))(micro-H)(IrCp*)][OTf] (8), which is formed by intramolecular oxidative addition of the methyl C-H bond of the dmpm ligand. Intermolecular C-H bond activation reactions with 7 are also examined. Reactions of 7 with aromatic molecules (benzene, toluene, furan, and pyridine) at room temperature result in the smooth sp(2) C-H activation to give [(Cp*Ir)(H)(micro-dmpm)(micro-H)(Ar)(IrCp*)][OTf] (Ar = Ph (9); Ar = m-Tol (10a) or p-Tol (10b); Ar = 2-Fur (11)) and [(Cp*Ir)(H)(micro-dmpm)(micro-C(5)H(4)N)(H)(IrCp*)][OTf] (12), respectively. Complex also reacts with cyclopentene at 0 degrees C to give [(Cp*Ir)(H)(micro-dmpm)(micro-H)(1-cyclopentenyl)(IrCp*)][OTf] (13). Structures of 3, 8 and 12 have been confirmed by X-ray analysis.  相似文献

Reactions of [(Cp*Ir)2(mu-dmpm)(mu-H)2]2+ (1) with NaOtBu in aromatic solvent at room temperature give [(Cp*Ir)(H)(mu-dmpm)(mu-H)(Cp*Ir)(Ar)]+ [Ar = Ph (3), p-Tol (4a), m-Tol (4b), 2-furanyl (5a), 3-furanyl (5b)] via intermolecular aromatic C-H activation. Treatment of [(Cp*Ir)2(mu-dppm)(mu-H)2]2+ (2) with base (Et2NH) results in intramolecular C-H activation of the phenyl group in the dppm ligand to give [(Cp*Ir)(H){mu-PPh(C6H4)CH2PPh2}(mu-H)(Cp*Ir)]+ (6). The structures of 3, 5a, and 6 have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods.  相似文献

Hydrogenolysis of Cp*W(NO)(CH2CMe3)2 at room temperature in cyclohexene results in the formation of the intermediate 16e organometallic complex, [Cp*W(NO)(eta2-cyclohexene)]. This intermediate leads to three parallel transformations of cyclohexene, namely (a) C-H activation of cyclohexene to form an eta3-cyclohexenyl hydrido complex, (b) combination of cyclohexene and H2 to form a cyclohexyl hydrido complex, and (c) coupling of two molecules of cyclohexene with concomitant loss of two hydrogen atoms to form a complex containing a novel eta1,eta3-(cyclohexyl)cyclohexenyl ligand. Single-crystal X-ray crystallographic analyses of products resulting from transformations (b) and (c) have been effected.  相似文献

The cyclometallated complexes [MCl(C^N)(ring)] (HC^N = 2-phenylpyrazole, M = Ir, Rh ring = Cp*; M = Ru, ring = p-cymene) readily undergo insertion reactions with RC≡CR (R = CO(2)Me, Ph) to give mono insertion products, the rhodium complex also reacts with PhC≡CH regiospecifically to give an analogous product. The products of the reactions of the cyclometallated imine complexes [MCl(C^N)Cp*] (HC^N = PhCH=NR, R = Ph, CH(2)CH(2)OMe, Me; M = Ir, Rh) with PhC≡CPh depend on the substituent R; when R = CH(2)CH(2)OMe a monoinsertion is observed, however for R = Me the initial insertion product is unstable, undergoing reductive elimination with loss of the organic fragment, and for R = Ph no metal-containing product is isolated. With PhC≡CH the cyclometallated imine complexes can give mono or di-insertion products. The implications for catalytic synthesis of carbo- and heterocycles by a tandem C-H activation, alkyne insertion mechanism are discussed.  相似文献

The molybdenum nitrosyl complex Cp*Mo(NO)(CH2CMe3)(C6H5) reacts at room temperature via elimination of neopentane or benzene to form the transient species Cp*Mo(NO)(=CHCMe3) and Cp*Mo(NO)(eta2-C6H4). These reactive intermediates effect the intermolecular activation of hydrocarbon C-H bonds via the reverse of the transformations by which they are generated. Thermolysis of Cp*Mo(NO)(CH2CMe3)(C6H5) in pyridine yields the adducts Cp*Mo(NO)(=CHCMe3)(NC5H5) and Cp*Mo(NO)(eta2-C6H4)(NC5H5), and the benzyne complex has been characterized by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Rhodium(III) and iridium(III) complexes containing bis(pyrazolyl)methane ligands (pz = pyrazole, L' in general; specifically, L1 = H2C(pz)2, L2 = H2C(pzMe2)2, L3 = H2C(pz4Me)2, L4 = Me2C(pz)2), have been prepared in a study exploring the reactivity of these ligands toward [Cp*MCl(mu-Cl)]2 dimers (M = Rh, Ir; Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl). When the reaction was carried out in acetone solution, complexes of the type [Cp*M(L')Cl]Cl were obtained. However, when L1 and L2 ligands have been employed with excess [Cp*MCl(mu-Cl)]2, the formation of [Cp*M(L')Cl][Cp*MCl3] species has been observed. PGSE NMR measurements have been carried out for these complexes, in which the counterion is a cyclopentadienyl metal complex, in CD2Cl2 as a function of the concentration. The hydrodynamic radius (rH) and, consequently, the hydrodynamic volume (VH) of all the species have been determined from the measured translational self-diffusion coefficients (Dt), indicating the predominance of ion pairs in solution. NOE measurements and X-ray single-crystal studies suggest that the [Cp*MCl3]- approaches the cation, orienting the three Cl-legs of the "piano-stool" toward the CH2 moieties of the bis(pyrazolyl)methane ligands. The reaction of 1 equiv of [Cp*M(L')Cl]Cl or [Cp*M(L')Cl][Cp*MCl3] with 1 equiv of AgX (X = ClO4 or CF3SO3) in CH2Cl2 allows the generation of [Cp*M(L')Cl]X, whereas the reaction of 1 equiv of [Cp*M(L')Cl] with 2 equiv of AgX yields the dicationic complexes [Cp*M(L')(H2O)][X]2, where single water molecules are directly bonded to the metal atoms. The solid-state structures of a number of complexes were confirmed by X-ray crystallographic studies. The reaction of [Cp*Ir(L')(H2O)][X]2 with ammonium formate in water or acetone solution allows the generation of the hydride species [Cp*Ir(L')H][X].  相似文献

The reactions of [Cp*MCl2]2(Cp*=eta5-C5Me5, M = Rh, Ir) with thiacalix[4]arene (TC4A(OH)4) and tetramercaptothiacalix[4]arene (TC4A(SH)4) gave the mononuclear complexes [(Cp*M){eta3-TC4A(OH)2(O)2}] and the dinuclear complexes [(Cp*M)2{eta3eta3-TC4A(S)4}] respectively, while the analogous reactions with dimercaptothiacalix[4]arene (TC4A(OH)2(SH)2) produced the tetranuclear complexes [(Cp*M)2(Cp*MCl2)2-{eta3eta3eta1eta1-TC4A(O)2(S)2}].  相似文献

An efficient synthesis of indolo[1,2-c]quinazoline derivatives has been developed by copper-catalyzed sequential Ullmann N-arylation and aerobic oxidative C-H amination. The protocol uses readily available 2-(2-halophenyl)-1H-indoles and (aryl)methanamines as the starting materials to afford indolo[1,2-c]quinazolines, which are the core units of hinckdentine A.  相似文献

The tetraphenylborate salt of the decamethyl titanocene cation, [Cp*2Ti][BPh4] (1, Cp* = C5Me5), was prepared by reaction of Cp*2TiH with [Cp2Fe][BPh4] and by reaction of Cp*2TiMe with [PhNMe2H][BPh4]. The crystal structure of 1 shows that the Cp*2Ti cation has a bent metallocene structure with agostic interactions with the metal center of two adjacent methyl groups on one of the Cp* ligands. Compound 1 reacts readily with THF to give the adduct [Cp*2Ti(THF)][BPh4] (2). In fluorobenzene, 1 forms the eta1-fluorobenzene adduct [Cp*2Ti(eta1-FC6H5)][BPh4] (3), which was structurally characterized. In contrast to the thermal stability of 3, addition of alpha,alpha,alpha-trifluorotoluene to either 1 or 2 results in C-F activation to give Cp*2TiF2 and PhCF2CF2Ph as the main products. This reactivity toward benzylic C-F bonds is also reflected in the reactivity toward the fluorinated borate anions [B(C6F5)4]- and {B(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3]4}-: reaction of Cp*2TiMe with their [PhNMe2H]+ salts results in a stable complex for the former anion, whereas rapid C-F activation is observed for the latter.  相似文献

Reaction of the dimer [(Cp*IrCl)2(P-Cl)2] with chiral pyridylamino ligands (pyam, L1-L5) in the presence of NaSbF6 gave complexes [Cp*IrCl(pyam)][SbF6] 1-5 as diastereomeric mixtures, which have been fully characterised, including the X-ray molecular structure determination of the complexes (S(Ir),R(N),R(C))-[Cp*IrClL1][SbF6] 1a and (R(Ir),S(N),S(C))-[Cp*IrClL5][SbF6] 5a. Treatment of these cations with AgSbF6 affords the corresponding aqua species [Cp*Ir(pyam)(H2O)][SbF6]2 6-10 which have been also fully characterised. The molecular structure of the complex (S(Ir),R(N),R(C))-[Cp*IrL,(H2O)][SbF6]2 6 has been determined by X-ray diffractometric methods. The aqua complexes [Cp*Ir(pyam)(H2O)][SbF6]2 (6, pyam = L2 (7), L3 (8)) evolve to the cyclometallated species [Cp*Ir{kappa3(N,N',C)-(R)-(C6H4)CH(CH3)NHCH2C5NH4}][SbF6] (11), [Cp*Ir{kappa3(N,N',C)-(R)-(C10H6)CH(CH3)-NHCH2C5NH4)}][SbF6] (12), and [Cp*Ir{kappa3(N,N',C)-(R)-(C10H6)CH(CH3)NHCH2C9NH6)}][SbF6] (13) respectively, via intramolecular activation of an ortho C-H aryl bond. Complexes 6-10 are enantioselective catalysts for the Diels-Alder reaction between methacrolein and cyclopentadiene. Reaction occurs rapidly at room temperature with good exo : endo selectivity (from 81 : 19 to 98 : 2) and moderate enantioselectivity (up to 72%). The involved intermediate Lewis acid-dienophile compounds [Cp*Ir(pyam)(methacrolein)][SbF]2 (pyam = L4 (14), L5 (15)) have been isolated and characterised.  相似文献

An organometallic complex resulting from tail-to-tail dimerization and C-H activation of methyl acrylate (MA), [Mo(CO2Cp(eta 3-(MeO2C)CH[symbol: see text]CH[symbol: see text]CHCH2(CO2Me)] 2, has been fully characterized from the reaction of the heterobimetallic complex [Cp*Ni=Mo(mu-CO)(CO)2Cp] with MA and an exclusively eta 3-allyl bonding mode of the coupled ligand was established for the first time by X-ray diffraction; formation of 2 is accompanied by that of the mu 3-alkylidyne-capped cluster [NiMo2(mu 3-CCH2CO2Me)(CO)4Cp*Cp2] 3 which results from a double C-H activation of the CH2 group of MA; none of these reactions occur with the corresponding homodinuclear complexes.  相似文献

The tetrahydroazepine-annulated [3]ferrocenophane carbamate (4) was synthesized by two different linear routes starting from the readily available α-dimethylamino[3]ferrocenophane-ortho-carbaldehyde rac-6. The carbamate directed lithiation of 4 resulted in a selective attack at a (Cp)C-H bond at the higher substituted "lower" [3]ferrocenophane Cp-ring to eventually yield the respective ester (18) after treatment with ClCO(2)Me.  相似文献

The mechanism of [{RuCl2(p‐cymene)}2]‐catalyzed oxidative annulations of isoquinolones with alkynes was investigated in detail. The first step is an acetate‐assisted C? H bond activation process to form cyclometalated compounds. Subsequent mono‐alkyne insertion of the Ru? C bonds of the cyclometalated compounds then takes place. Finally, oxidative coupling of the C? N bond of the insertion compounds occurs to afford Ru0 sandwich complexes that undergo oxidation to regenerate the catalytically active RuII complex with the copper oxidant and release the desired dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives. All of the relevant intermediates were fully characterized and determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The [{RuCl2(p‐cymene)}2]‐catalyzed C? H bond functionalization of isoquinolones with alkynes to synthesize dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives through C? H/N? H activation was also demonstrated.  相似文献

To investigate the potential role of Sm-Ph species as intermediates in the samarium-catalyzed redistribution of PhSiH3 to Ph2SiH2 and SiH4, the samarium phenyl complex [Cp*2SmPh]2 (1) was prepared by oxidation of Cp2*Sm (2) with HgPh2. Compound 1 thermally decomposes to yield benzene and the phenylene-bridged disamarium complex Cp*2Sm(mu-1,4-C6H4)SmCp*2 (3). This decomposition reaction appears to proceed through dissociation of 1 into monomeric Cp*2SmPh species which then react via unimolecular and bimolecular pathways, involving rate-limiting Cp* metalation and direct C-H activation, respectively. The observed rate law for this process is of the form: rate = k1[1] + k2[1]2. Complex 1 efficiently transfers its phenyl group to PhSiH3, with formation of Ph2SiH2 and [Cp*2Sm(mu-H)]2 (4). Quantitative Si-C bond cleavage of C6F5SiH3 is effected by the samarium hydride complex 4, yielding silane and [Cp*2Sm(mu-C6F5)]2 (5). In contrast, Si-H activation takes place upon reaction of 4 with o-MeOC6H4SiH3, affording the samarium silyl species [structure: see text] Cp*2SmSiH2(o-MeOC6H4) (7). Complex 7 rapidly decomposes to [Cp*2Sm(mu-o-MeOC6H4)]2 (6) and other samarium-containing products. Compounds 5 and 6 were prepared independently by oxidation of 2 with Hg(C6F5)2 and Hg(o-MeOC6H4)2, respectively. The mechanism of samarium-mediated redistribution at silicon, and chemoselectivity in sigma-bond metathesis reactions, are discussed.  相似文献

Herein we describe different C-C coupling reactions of permethyltitanocene and -zirconocene with disubstituted 1,3-butadiynes. The outcomes of these reactions vary depending on the metals and the diyne substituents. The reduction of [Cp2*MCl2] (Cp* = C5Me5; M = Ti, Zr) with Mg in the presence of disubstituted butadiynes RC triple bond C-C triple bond CR' is suitable for the synthesis of different C-C coupling products of the diyne and the permethylmetallocenes, and provides a new method for the generation of functionalized pentamethyl-cyclopentadienyl derivatives. For M = Zr and R = R' = tBu, the reaction gives, by a twofold activation of one pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligand, the complex [Cp*Zr[-C(=C=CHtBu)-CHtBu-CH2-eta5-C5Me3-CH2-]] (3), containing a fulvene ligand that is coupled to the modified substrate (allenic subunit). When using the analogous permethyltitanocene fragment "Cp2*Ti", the reaction depends strongly on the substituents R and R'. The coupling product of the butadiyne with two methyl groups of one of the pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ring systems, [Cp*Ti[eta5-C5Me3-(CH2-CHR-eta2-C2-CHR'-CH2)]], is obtained with R = R' = tBu (4) and R = tBu, R' = SiMe3 (5). In these complexes one pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligand is annellated to an eight-membered ring with a C-C triple bond, which is coordinated to the titanium center. A different activation of both pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligands is observed for R = R' = Me, resulting in the complex [[eta5-C5Me4(CH2)-]Ti[-C(=CHMe)-C(=CHMe)-CH2-eta5-C5Me4]] (6), which displays a fulvene as well as a butadienyl-substituted pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligand. The influence exerted by the size of the metal is illustrated in the reaction of [Cp2*ZrCl2] with MeC triple bond C-C triple bond CMe. Here the five-membered metallacyclocumulene complex [Cp2*Zr(eta4-1,2,3,4-MeC4Me)] (7) is obtained. The reaction paths found for R = R' = Me are identical to those formerly described for R = R' = Ph.  相似文献

The properties of the 16-electron phosphinidene complex [CpRIr=PR] were investigated experimentally and theoretically. Density functional theory calculations show a preferred bent geometry for the model complex [CpIr=PH], in contrast to the linear structure of [CpIr=NH]. Dimerization to give [[CpIr=PH]2] and ligand addition to afford [Cp(L)Ir=PH] (L=PH3, CO) were calculated to give compounds that were energetically highly favorable, but which differed from the related imido complexes. Transient 16-electron phosphinidene complex [Cp*Ir=PAr] could not be detected experimentally. Dehydrohalogenation of [Cp*IrCl2(PH2Ar)] in CH2Cl2 at low temperatures resulted in the novel fused-ring systems 17 (Ar=Mes*) and 20 (Ar=Mes), with dimeric [[Cp*Ir=PAr]2] being the likely intermediate. Intramolecular C-H bond activation induced by steric factors is considered to be the driving force for the irreversible formation of 17 and 20. ONIOM calculations suggest this arises because of the large steric congestion in [[Cp*Ir=PAr]2], which forces it toward a more reactive planar structure that is apt to rearrange.  相似文献

By making use of a dual‐chelation‐assisted strategy, a completely regiocontrolled oxidative C?H/C?H cross‐coupling reaction between an N‐acylaniline and a benzamide has been accomplished for the first time. This process constitutes a step‐economic and highly efficient pathway to 2‐amino‐2′‐carboxybiaryl scaffolds from readily available substrates. A Cp*‐free RhCl3/TFA catalytic system was developed to replace the [Cp*RhCl2]2/AgSbF6 system generally used in oxidative C?H/C?H cross‐coupling reactions between two (hetero)arenes (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, TFA=trifluoroacetic acid). The RhCl3/TFA system avoids the use of the expensive Cp* ligand and AgSbF6. As an illustrative example, the procedure developed herein greatly streamlines the total synthesis of the naturally occurring benzo[c]phenanthridine alkaloid oxynitidine, which was accomplished in excellent overall yield.  相似文献

Reaction of [Cp*IrCl2]2 (1) with dpmp in the presence of KPF6 afforded a binuclear complex [Cp*IrCl(dpmp-P1,P2;P3)IrCl2Cp*](PF6) (2) (dpmp =(Ph2PCH2)2PPh). The mononuclear complex [Cp*IrCl(dpmp-P1,P2)](PF6) (4) was generated by the reaction of [Cp*IrCl2(BDMPP)](BDMPP =PPh[2,6-(MeO)2C6H3]2) with dpmp in the presence of KPF6. These mono- and binuclear complexes have four-membered ring structures with a terminal and a central P atom of the dpmp ligand coordinated to an iridium atom as a bidentate ligand. Since there are two chiral centers at the Ir atom and a central P2 atom, there are two diastereomers that were characterized by spectrometry. Complexes anti-4 and syn-4 reacted with [Cp*RhCl2]2 or [(C6Me6)RuCl2]2, giving the corresponding mixed-metal complexes, anti- and syn- [Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)MCl2L](PF6) (6: M = Rh, L = Cp*; 7: M = Ru, L = C6Me6). Treatment with AuCl(SC4H8) gave tetranuclear complexes, anti- and syn-8 [[Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)AuCl]2](PF6)2 bearing an Au-Au bond. Reaction of anti- with PtCl2(cod) generated the trinuclear complex anti-9, anti-[[Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)]2PtCl2](PF6)2. These reactions proceeded stereospecifically. The P,O-chelated complex syn-[Cp*IrCl(BDMPP-P,O)] (syn-10)(BDMPP-P,O = PPh[2,6-(MeO)2C6H3][2-O-6-(MeO)C6H3]2) reacted with dpmp in the presence of KPF6, generating the corresponding anti-complex as a main product as well as a small amount of syn-complex, [Cp*Ir(BDMPP-P,O)(dppm-P1)](PF6) (11). The reaction proceeded preferentially with inversion. The reaction processes were investigated by PM3 calculation. anti- was treated with MCl2(cod), giving anti-[Cp*Ir(BDMPP-P,O)(dppm-P1;P2,P3)MCl2](PF6)(14: M = Pt; 15: M = Pd), in which the MCl2 moiety coordinated to the two free P atoms of anti-11. The X-ray analyses of syn-2, anti-2, anti-4, anti-8 and anti-11 were performed.  相似文献
