A model of the relativistic quantum particle under the action of a time-dependent force is considered. This exactly solvable model is realized in the one-dimensional relativistic configurational x-space and is described by the finite-difference equation. The momentum p-space is one-dimensional Lobachevsky space. We have explicitly constructed the wave functions and propagators for this model in both x- and p-representations. We have also found a solution of a definite class of partial differential and finite-difference equations, which can be interpreted as the operator identities.  相似文献

The stationary phase method is frequently adopted for calculating tunneling phase times of analytically-continuous Gaussian or infinite-bandwidth step pulses which collide with a potential barrier. This report deals with the basic concepts on deducing transit times for quantum scattering: the stationary phase method and its relation with delay times for relativistic and non-relativistic tunneling particles. After reexamining the above-barrier diffusion problem, we notice that the applicability of this method is constrained by several subtleties in deriving the phase time that describes the localization of scattered wave packets. Using a recently developed procedure - multiple wave packet decomposition - for some specifical colliding configurations, we demonstrate that the analytical difficulties arising when the stationary phase method is applied for obtaining phase (traversal) times are all overcome. In this case, we also investigate the general relation between phase times and dwell times for quantum tunneling/scattering. Considering a symmetrical collision of two identical wave packets with an one-dimensional barrier, we demonstrate that these two distinct transit time definitions are explicitly connected. The traversal times are obtained for a symmetrized (two identical bosons) and an antisymmetrized (two identical fermions) quantum colliding configuration. Multiple wave packet decomposition shows us that the phase time (group delay) describes the exact position of the scattered particles and, in addition to the exact relation with the dwell time, leads to correct conceptual understanding of both transit time definitions. At last, we extend the non-relativistic formalism to the solutions for the tunneling zone of a one-dimensional electrostatic potential in the relativistic (Dirac to Klein-Gordon) wave equation where the incoming wave packet exhibits the possibility of being almost totally transmitted through the potential barrier. The conditions for the occurrence of accelerated and, eventually, superluminal tunneling transmission probabilities are all quantified and the problematic superluminal interpretation based on the non-relativistic tunneling dynamics is revisited. Lessons concerning the dynamics of relativistic tunneling and the mathematical structure of its solutions suggest revealing insights into mathematically analogous condensed-matter experiments using electrostatic barriers in single- and bi-layer graphene, for which the accelerated tunneling effect deserves a more careful investigation.  相似文献

The isotropic oscillator on a plane is discussed where the coordinate and momentum space are both considered to be non-commutative. We also discuss the symmetry properties of the oscillator for three separate cases when the non-commutative parameters Θ and for x and p-space, respectively, satisfy specific relations. We compare the Landau problem with the isotropic oscillator on non-commutative space and obtain a relation between the two non-commutative parameters and the magnetic field of the Landau problem.  相似文献

The Moyal product is used to cast the equation for the metric of a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian in the form of a differential equation. For Hamiltonians of the form p2+V(ix)p2+V(ix) with V polynomial this is an exact equation. Solving this equation in perturbation theory recovers known results. Explicit criteria for the hermiticity and positive definiteness of the metric are formulated on the functional level.  相似文献

Complex Bohmian mechanics is introduced to investigate the validity of a trajectory interpretation of the uncertainty principles ΔqΔp??/2 and ΔEΔt??/2 by replacing probability mean values with time-averaged mean values. It is found that the ?/2 factor in the uncertainty relation ΔEΔt??/2 stems from a quantum potential whose time-averaged mean value taken along any closed trajectory with a period T=2π/ω is proved to be an integer multiple of ?ω/2 for one-dimensional systems.  相似文献

A class of one-dimensional reflectionless potentials is studied. It is found that all possible types of the reflectionless potentials can be combined into one SUSY-hierarchy with a constant potential. An approach for determination of a general form of the reflectionless potential on the basis of construction of such a hierarchy by the recurrent method is proposed. A general integral form of interdependence between superpotentials with neighboring numbers of this hierarchy, opening a possibility to find new reflectionless potentials, is found and has a simple analytical view. It is supposed that any possible type of the reflectionless potential can be expressed through finite number of elementary functions (unlike some presentations of the reflectionless potentials, which are constructed on the basis of soliton solutions or are shape invariant in one or many steps with involving scaling of parameters, and are expressed through series). An analysis of absolute transparency existence for the potential which has the inverse power dependence on space coordinate (and here tunneling is possible), i.e., which has the form V (x) = ± α/|xx0|n (where α and x0 are constants, n is natural number), is fulfilled. It is shown that such a potential can be reflectionless at n = 2 only. A SUSY-hierarchy of the inverse power reflectionless potentials is constructed. Isospectral expansions of this hierarchy are analyzed.  相似文献

In a recent paper by Barton [G. Barton, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 40 (2007) 1011], the 1-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation was solved analytically for the non-singular Coulomb-like potential V1(|x|)=−α/(|x|+a). In the present Letter, these results are completely confirmed by a numerical formulation that also allows a solution for an alternative cut-off Coulomb potential V2(|x|)=−α/|x|, |x|>a, and otherwise V2(|x|)=−α/a.  相似文献

The relativistic one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation can be exactly solved for a certain class of potentials. But the nonrelativistic Schrödinger equation is not necessarily solvable for the same potentials. It may be possible to obtain approximate solutions for the inexact nonrelativistic potential from the relativistic exact solutions by systematically removing relativistic portion. We search for the possibility with the harmonic oscillator potential and the Coulomb potential, both of which can be exactly solvable nonrelativistically and relativistically. Though a rigorous algebraic approach is not deduced yet, it is found that the relativistic exact solutions can be a good starting point for obtaining the nonrelativistic solutions.  相似文献

The relativistic problem of neutral fermions subject to PT-symmetric trigonometric potential (∼iαtanαx)(iαtanαx) in 1+11+1 dimensions is investigated. By using the basic concepts of the supersymmetric quantum mechanics formalism and the functional analysis method, we solve exactly the position-dependent effective mass Dirac equation with the vector coupling scheme and obtain the bound state solutions in closed form. The effect of the built-in supersymmetric quantum mechanical language on the spectrum of the (1+1)-Dirac equation, with position-dependent mass (PDM) and complexified Lorentz scalar interactions, is re-emphasized. The signature of the “quasi-parity” on the Dirac particles’ spectra is also studied. A Dirac particle with PDM and complexified scalar interactions of the form S(z)=S(xib) (an inversely linear plus linear, leading to a symmetric oscillator model), and S(x)=S r (x)+iS i (x) (a -symmetric Scarf II model) are considered. Moreover, a first-order intertwining differential operator and an η-weak-pseudo-Hermiticity generator are presented and a complexified -symmetric periodic-type model is used as an illustrative example.  相似文献

We report on a synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy study of mixed GaSxSe1?x crystals. The most prominent composition effect in the valence band is an increase by ~ 0.4 eV of the energy separation between the pz states and the px, py states as x increases from 0 to 1. The repulsion in energy is accompanied by a progressive mixing of these states in k-space regions far from the zone boundaries.  相似文献

We study the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations in the presence of a background metric ds2=−dt2+dx2+e−2gx(dy2+dz2) in a semi-infinite lab (x>0). This metric has a constant scalar-curvature R=6g2 and is produced by a perfect fluid with equation of state p=−ρ/3. The eigenfunctions of spin-0 and spin-1/2 particles are obtained exactly, and the quantized energy eigenvalues are compared. It is shown that both of these particles must have nonzero transverse momentum in this background. We show that there is a minimum energy E2min=m2c4+g2c2?2 for bosons (EKG>Emin), while the fermions have no specific ground state (EDirac>mc2).  相似文献

Thermal entanglement of the two-qubit XXZ model under magnetic fields in arbitrary directions is studied. Both the uniform and nonuniform fields are addressed. For the ferromagnetic case, a magnetic field perpendicular to the z-axis helps to enhance the entanglement or slows down the decrease of the entanglement. For the antiferromagnetic case, there is the revival phenomenon when the magnetic field is uniform and no such phenomenon when the field is uniform in the z-direction and a staggered type in the x-axis.  相似文献

We generalize a recently developed method for accelerated Monte Carlo calculation of path integrals to the physically relevant case of generic many-body systems. This is done by developing an analytic procedure for constructing a hierarchy of effective actions leading to improvements in convergence of N-fold discretized many-body path integral expressions from 1/N to 1/Np for generic p. In this Letter we present explicit solutions within this hierarchy up to level p=5. Using this we calculate the low lying energy levels of a two particle model with quartic interactions for several values of coupling and demonstrate agreement with analytical results governing the increase in efficiency of the new method. The applicability of the developed scheme is further extended to the calculation of energy expectation values through the construction of associated energy estimators exhibiting the same speedup in convergence.  相似文献

This paper exploits the connection between the quantum many-particle density of states and the partitioning of an integer in number theory. For N bosons in a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator potential, it is well known that the asymptotic (N→∞) density of states is identical to the Hardy-Ramanujan formula for the partitions p(n), of a number n into a sum of integers. We show that the same statistical mechanics technique for the density of states of bosons in a power-law spectrum yields the partitioning formula for ps(n), the latter being the number of partitions of n into a sum of sth powers of a set of integers. By making an appropriate modification of the statistical technique, we are also able to obtain ds(n) for distinct partitions. We find that the distinct square partitions d2(n) show pronounced oscillations as a function of n about the smooth curve derived by us. The origin of these oscillations from the quantum point of view is discussed. After deriving the Erdos-Lehner formula for restricted partitions for the s=1 case, we use the modified technique to obtain a new formula for distinct restricted partitions.  相似文献

Exact solutions of the Klein–Gordon equation for a charged particle in the presence of three spatially varying electromagnetic fields, namely, (i) E=αβ0e?αx2x^2,B=αβ1e?αx2x^3 (ii) E=β0x22x^2,B=β1x22x^3, and (iii) E=2β0x23x^2,B=2β1x23x^3, are studied. All these fields are generated from a systematic study of a particular type of differential equation whose coefficients are linear in the independent variable. The Laplace transform approach is used to find the solutions, and the corresponding eigenfunctions are expressed in terms of the hypergeometric functions ?1F1(a′, b′; x) for the first two cases of the above configurations, while the same are expressed in terms of the Bessel functions of first kind, Jn(x), for the last case.  相似文献

We investigate quantum strategies in moving frames by considering Prisoners' Dilemma and propose four thresholds of γ for two players to determine their Nash Equilibria. The thermodynamic behavior of carbon doped MgB2 has been studied using a rigid ion model (RIM). The model potential consists of the long-range Coulomb, the short-range repulsive and the van der Waals interactions. This model has successfully explained the cohesive and thermodynamic properties of Mg(B1−xCx)2 (x=0.0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1, 0.2). The properties studied are the cohesive energy, molecular force constant, Restrahlen frequency, compressibility, Debye temperature and Gruneisen parameter. Our results on Restrahlen frequency and Debye temperature are in reasonably good agreement with the available experimental data. In addition, we have computed the specific heat Cp for Mg(B1−xCx)2 (x=0.2) as a function of temperature T in the range 16 K?T?1000 K. We have also shown the variation of specific heat Cp with doping concentration at room temperature (300 K). The calculated specific heat Cp for Mg(B1−xCx)2 (x=0.2) in the temperature range 16 K?T?22 K for which experimental results are available, agrees pretty well with the experimental data.  相似文献
