We consider the density dependent diffusion Nagumo equation, where the diffusion coefficient is a simple power function. This equation is used in modelling electrical pulse propagation in nerve axons and in population genetics (amongst other areas). In the present paper, the δ-expansion method is applied to a travelling wave reduction of the problem, so that we may obtain globally valid perturbation solutions (in the sense that the perturbation solutions are valid over the entire infinite domain, not just locally; hence the results are a generalization of the local solutions considered recently in the literature). The resulting boundary value problem is solved on the real line subject to conditions at z →±∞. Whenever a perturbative method is applied, it is important to discuss the accuracy and convergence properties of the resulting perturbation expansions. We compare our results with those of two different numerical methods (designed for initial and boundary value problems, respectively) and deduce that the perturbation expansions agree with the numerical results after a reasonable number of iterations. Finally, we are able to discuss the influence of the wave speed c and the asymptotic concentration value α on the obtained solutions. Upon recasting the density dependent diffusion Nagumo equation as a two-dimensional dynamical system, we are also able to discuss the influence of the nonlinear density dependence (which is governed by a power-law parameter m) on oscillations of the travelling wave solutions.  相似文献

In this work, we apply the bifurcation method of dynamical systems to investigate the underlying complex dynamics of traveling wave solutions to a highly nonlinear Fujimoto–Watanabe equation. We identify all bifurcation conditions and phase portraits of the system in different regions of the three-dimensional parametric space, from which we present the sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of traveling wave solutions including solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, kink-like(antikink-like) wave solutions, and compactons. Furthermore, we obtain their exact expressions and simulations, which can help us understand the underlying physical behaviors of traveling wave solutions to the equation.  相似文献

In the present paper, we established a traveling wave solution by using modified Kudryashov method for the space-time fractional nonlinear partial differential equations. The method is used to obtain the exact solutions for different types of the space-time fractional nonlinear partial differential equations such as, the space-time fractional coupled equal width wave equation(CEWE) and the space-time fractional coupled modified equal width wave equation(CMEW), which are the important soliton equations. Both equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations by the use of fractional complex transform and properties of modified Riemann–Liouville derivative. We plot the exact solutions for these equations at different time levels.  相似文献

Dynamics of three nonisospectral nonlinear Schrdinger equations(NNLSEs), following different time dependencies of the spectral parameter, are investigated. First, we discuss the gauge transformations between the standard nonlinear Schrdinger equation(NLSE) and its first two nonisospectral counterparts, for which we derive solutions and infinitely many conserved quantities. Then, exact solutions of the three NNLSEs are derived in double Wronskian terms. Moreover,we analyze the dynamics of the solitons in the presence of the nonisospectral effects by demonstrating how the shapes, velocities, and wave energies change in time. In particular, we obtain a rogue wave type of soliton solutions to the third NNLSE.  相似文献

The nonlinear Schr?dinger(NLS) equation and Boussinesq equation are two very important integrable equations. They have widely physical applications. In this paper, we investigate a nonlinear system, which is the two-component NLS equation coupled to the Boussinesq equation. We obtain the bright–bright, bright–dark, and dark–dark soliton solutions to the nonlinear system. We discuss the collision between two solitons. We observe that the collision of bright–bright soliton is inelastic and two solitons oscillating periodically can happen in the two parallel-traveling bright–bright or bright–dark soliton solution. The general breather and rogue wave solutions are also given. Our results show again that there are more abundant dynamical properties for multi-component nonlinear systems.  相似文献

We use the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation to investigate field-driven domain wall propagation in magnetic nanotubes. We find that the distortion is maximum as the time becomes infinite and the exact rigid-body solutions are obtained analytically. We also find that the velocity increases with increasing the ratio of inner radius and outer radius. That is to say, we can accelerate domain wall motion not only by increasing the magnetic field, but also by reducing the thickness of the nanotubes.  相似文献

Finding exact solutions for Riemann–Liouville(RL) fractional equations is very difficult. We propose a general method of separation of variables to study the problem. We obtain several general results and, as applications, we give nontrivial exact solutions for some typical RL fractional equations such as the fractional Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation and the fractional Langmuir chain equation. In particular, we obtain non-power functions solutions for a kind of RL time-fractional reaction–diffusion equation. In addition, we find that the separation of variables method is more suited to deal with high-dimensional nonlinear RL fractional equations because we have more freedom to choose undetermined functions.  相似文献

In terms of Darboux transformation, we have exactly solved the higher-order nonlinear Schrdinger equation that describes the propagation of ultrashort optical pulses in optical fibers. We discuss the modulation instability(MI) process in detail and find that the higher-order term has no effect on the MI condition. Under different conditions, we obtain Kuznetsov–Ma soliton and Akhmediev breather solutions of higher-order nonlinear Schrdinger equation. The former describes the propagation of a bright pulse on a continuous wave background in the presence of higher-order effects and the soliton's peak position is shifted owing to the presence of a nonvanishing background, while the latter implies the modulation instability process that can be used in practice to produce a train of ultrashort optical soliton pulses.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and propose exact and explicit analytical solutions to a novel model of the nonlinear Schr¨odinger(NLS) equation. This model is derived as the equation governing the dynamics of modulated cutoff waves in a discrete nonlinear electrical lattice. It is characterized by the addition of two terms that involve time derivatives to the classical equation. Through those terms, our model is also tantamount to a generalized NLS equation with saturable;which suggests that the discrete electrical transmission lines can potentially be used to experimentally investigate wave propagation in media that are modeled by such type of nonlinearity. We demonstrate that the new terms can enlarge considerably the forms of the solutions as compared to similar NLS-type equations. Sine–Gordon expansion-method is used to derive numerous kink, antikink, dark, and bright soliton solutions.  相似文献

In this work, we determine the Fisher and Shannon entropies, the expectation values and the squeeze state for a noncentral inversely quadratic plus exponential Mie-type potential analytically. The proposed potential is solved under the Schr?dinger equation using a special Greene Aldrich approximation to the centrifugal term to obtain a normalised wave function within the framework of the Nikiforov–Uvarov method. Numerical results are obtained for different screening parameters:α?=?0.1, 0.12 and 0.13 for varying real constant parameter(B). The numerical solutions are obtained only for ground state. The numerical results of Fisher entropy both for position and momentum spaces are in good agreement with existing literature. The normalisation constant, wave function, and probability density plots are carried out using a well designed Mathematica algorithm. The Fourier transform of position space entropy gives the momentum space entropy.  相似文献

In this paper,we give the general interaction solution to the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation. The general interaction solution contains the classical interaction solution. As an example,by using the generalized bilinear method and symbolic computation by using Maple software, novel interaction solutions under certain constraints of the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation are obtained.Via three-dimensional plots, contour plots and density plots with the help of Maple, the physical characteristics and structures of these waves are described very well. These solutions greatly enrich the exact solutions to the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation found in the existing literature.  相似文献

In this paper, we make use of the auxiliary equation and the expanded mapping methods to find the new exact periodic solutions for (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equations in mathematical physics, which are expressed by Jacobi elliptic functions, and obtain some new solitary wave solutions (m → 1). This method can also be used to explore new periodic wave solutions for other nonlinear evolution equations.  相似文献

An extended Boussinesq equation that models weakly nonlinear and weakly dispersive waves on a uniform layer of water is studied in this paper. The results show that the equation is not Painlev\'e-integrable in general. Some particular exact travelling wave solutions are obtained by using a function expansion method. An approximate solitary wave solution with physical significance is obtained by using a perturbation method. We find that the extended Boussinesq equation with a depth parameter of $1/\sqrt 2$ is able to match the Laitone's (1960) second order solitary wave solution of the Euler equations.  相似文献

We deal with the Wick-type stochastic fractional Korteweg de–Vries(KdV) equation with conformable derivatives. With the aid of the Exp-function method, white noise theory, and Hermite transform, we produce a novel set of exact soliton and periodic wave solutions to the fractional KdV equation with conformable derivatives. With the help of inverse Hermite transform, we get stochastic soliton and periodic wave solutions of the Wick-type stochastic fractional KdV equation with conformable derivatives. Eventually, by an application example, we show how the stochastic solutions can be given as Brownian motion functional solutions.  相似文献

The searching exact solutions in the solitary wave form of non-linear partial differential equations(PDEs play a significant role to understand the internal mechanism of complex physical phenomena. In this paper, we employ the proposed modified extended mapping method for constructing the exact solitary wave and soliton solutions of coupled Klein-Gordon equations and the(2+1)-dimensional cubic Klein-Gordon(K-G) equation. The Klein-Gordon equation are relativistic version of Schr¨odinger equations, which describe the relation of relativistic energy-momentum in the form of quantized version. We productively achieve exact solutions involving parameters such as dark and bright solitary waves, Kink solitary wave, anti-Kink solitary wave, periodic solitary waves, and hyperbolic functions in which severa solutions are novel. We plot the three-dimensional surface of some obtained solutions in this study. It is recognized that the modified mapping technique presents a more prestigious mathematical tool for acquiring analytical solutions o PDEs arise in mathematical physics.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigating exact solutions of a generalized fractional nonlinear anomalous diffusion equation in radical symmetry. The presence of external force and absorption is also considered. We first investigate the nonlinear anomalous diffusion equations with one-fractional derivative and then multi-fractional ones. In both situations, we obtain the corresponding exact solutions, and the solutions found here can have a compact behavior or a long tailed behavior.  相似文献

Using the wave packet theory,we obtain all the solutions of the weakly damped nonlinear Schrodinger equation. These solutions are the static solution, and solutions of planar wave, solitary wave, shock wave and elliptic function wave and chaos. The bifurcation phenomenon exists in both steady and non-steady solutions. The chaotic and periodic motions can coexist in a certain parametric space region.  相似文献

The nonlinear Schr6dinger equation (NLSE) with variable coefficients in blood vessels is discussed via an NLSE-based constructive method, and exact solutions are obtained including multi-soliton solutions with and without continuous wave backgrounds. The dynamical behaviors of these soliton solutions are studied. The solitonic propagation behaviors such as restraint and sustainment on continuous wave background are discussed by altering the value of dispersion parameter δ. Moreover, the longitude controllable behaviors are also reported by modulating the dispersion parameter & These results are potential1y useful for future experiments in various blood vessels.  相似文献

We study the traveling wave and other solutions of the perturbed Kaup-Newell Schrodinger dynamical equation that signifies long waves parallel to the magnetic field. The wave solutions such as bright-dark(solitons),solitary waves, periodic and other wave solutions of the perturbed Kaup-Newell Schrodinger equation in mathematical physics are achieved by utilizing two mathematical techniques, namely, the extended F-expansion technique and the proposed exp(-φ(ξ))-expansion technique. This dynamical model describes propagation of pluses in optical fibers and can be observed as a special case of the generalized higher order nonlinear Schrodinger equation. In engineering and applied physics, these wave results have key applications.Graphically, the structures of some solutions are presented by giving specific values to parameters.By using modulation instability analysis, the stability of the model is tested, which shows that the model is stable and the solutions are exact. These techniques can be fruitfully employed to further sculpt models that arise in mathematical physics.  相似文献
