Let $\mathcal F ^a_\lambda $ be the PBW degeneration of the flag varieties of type $A_{n-1}$ . These varieties are singular and are acted upon with the degenerate Lie group $SL_n^a$ . We prove that $\mathcal F ^a_\lambda $ have rational singularities, are normal and locally complete intersections, and construct a desingularization $R_\lambda $ of $\mathcal F ^a_\lambda $ . The varieties $R_\lambda $ can be viewed as towers of successive $\mathbb{P }^1$ -fibrations, thus providing an analogue of the classical Bott–Samelson–Demazure–Hansen desingularization. We prove that the varieties $R_\lambda $ are Frobenius split. This gives us Frobenius splitting for the degenerate flag varieties and allows to prove the Borel–Weil type theorem for $\mathcal F ^a_\lambda $ . Using the Atiyah–Bott–Lefschetz formula for $R_\lambda $ , we compute the $q$ -characters of the highest weight $\mathfrak sl _n$ -modules.  相似文献

Let $G$ be a complex affine algebraic reductive group, and let $K\,\subset \, G$ be a maximal compact subgroup. Fix h $\,:=\,(h_{1}\,,\ldots \,,h_{m})\,\in \, K^{m}$ . For $n\, \ge \, 0$ , let $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ (respectively, $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ ) be the space of equivalence classes of representations of the free group on $m+n$ generators in $G$ (respectively, $K$ ) such that for each $1\le i\le m$ , the image of the $i$ -th free generator is conjugate to $h_{i}$ . These spaces are parabolic analogues of character varieties of free groups. We prove that $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ is a strong deformation retraction of $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ . In particular, $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ and $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ are homotopy equivalent. We also describe explicit examples relating $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ to relative character varieties.  相似文献

Let ${f:\Omega \rightarrow \mathbb{R}}$ be a smooth function on a domain   ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{C}^n}$ with its Hessian matrix ${\left( \frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial z^i \partial\bar{z}^j}\right)}$ positive Hermitian. In this paper, we investigate a class of partial differential equations $$\Delta \ln \det (f_{i\bar{j}}) = \beta \;\| \text{grad} \ln \det (f_{i\bar{j}}) \|^2, $$ where Δ and ${\| \cdot \|}$ are the Laplacian and tensor norm, respectively, with respect to the metric ${G = \sum f_{i\bar{j}} \,dz^i \otimes d\bar{z}^j}$ , and β > 1 is some real constant depending on the dimension n. We prove that the above PDEs have a Bernstein property when the metric G is complete, provided that ${\det (f_{i\bar{j}})}$ and the Ricci curvature are bounded.  相似文献

Let $ \mathcal{L} $ be a Hilbert space, and let $ \mathcal{H} $ be a Pontryagin space. For every self-adjoint linear relation $ \tilde{A} $ in $ \mathcal{H} \oplus \mathcal{L} $ , the pair $ \{ I + \lambda \psi (\lambda ),\,\psi (\lambda )\} $ where $ \psi (\lambda ) $ is the compressed resolvent of $ \tilde{A} $ , is a normalized generalized Nevanlinna pair. Conversely, every normalized generalized Nevanlinna pair is shown to be associated with some self-adjoint linear relation $ \tilde{A} $ in the above sense. A functional model for this selfadjoint linear relation $ \tilde{A} $ is constructed.  相似文献

Let $\mathcal{R }$ be a prime ring of characteristic different from $2, \mathcal{Q }_r$ the right Martindale quotient ring of $\mathcal{R }, \mathcal{C }$ the extended centroid of $\mathcal{R }, \mathcal{I }$ a nonzero left ideal of $\mathcal{R }, F$ a nonzero generalized skew derivation of $\mathcal{R }$ with associated automorphism $\alpha $ , and $n,k \ge 1$ be fixed integers. If $[F(r^n),r^n]_k=0$ for all $r \in \mathcal{I }$ , then there exists $\lambda \in \mathcal{C }$ such that $F(x)=\lambda x$ , for all $x\in \mathcal{I }$ . More precisely one of the following holds: (1) $\alpha $ is an $X$ -inner automorphism of $\mathcal{R }$ and there exist $b,c \in \mathcal{Q }_r$ and $q$ invertible element of $\mathcal{Q }_r$ , such that $F(x)=bx-qxq^{-1}c$ , for all $x\in \mathcal{Q }_r$ . Moreover there exists $\gamma \in \mathcal{C }$ such that $\mathcal{I }(q^{-1}c-\gamma )=(0)$ and $b-\gamma q \in \mathcal{C }$ ; (2) $\alpha $ is an $X$ -outer automorphism of $\mathcal{R }$ and there exist $c \in \mathcal{Q }_r, \lambda \in \mathcal{C }$ , such that $F(x)=\lambda x-\alpha (x)c$ , for all $x\in \mathcal{Q }_r$ , with $\alpha (\mathcal{I })c=0$ .  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that every lax generalized Veronesean embedding of the Hermitian unital ${\mathcal{U}}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(2,\mathbb{L}), \mathbb{L}}$ a quadratic extension of the field ${\mathbb{K}}$ and ${|\mathbb{K}| \geq 3}$ , in a ${\mathsf{PG}(d,\mathbb{F})}$ , with ${\mathbb{F}}$ any field and d ≥ 7, such that disjoint blocks span disjoint subspaces, is the standard Veronesean embedding in a subgeometry ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{F})}$ (and d = 7) or it consists of the projection from a point ${p \in \mathcal{U}}$ of ${\mathcal{U}{\setminus} \{p\}}$ from a subgeometry ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{F})}$ into a hyperplane ${\mathsf{PG}(6,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ . In order to do so, when ${|\mathbb{K}| >3 }$ we strongly use the linear representation of the affine part of ${\mathcal{U}}$ (the line at infinity being secant) as the affine part of the generalized quadrangle ${\mathsf{Q}(4,\mathbb{K})}$ (the solid at infinity being non-singular); when ${|\mathbb{K}| =3}$ , we use the connection of ${\mathcal{U}}$ with the generalized hexagon of order 2.  相似文献

Let $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{B}$ be unital rings, and $\mathcal{M}$ be an $\left( {\mathcal{A},\mathcal{B}} \right)$ -bimodule, which is faithful as a left $\mathcal{A}$ -module and also as a right $\mathcal{B}$ -module. Let $\mathcal{U} = Tri\left( {\mathcal{A},\mathcal{M},\mathcal{B}} \right)$ be the triangular algebra. In this paper, we give some different characterizations of Lie higher derivations on $\mathcal{U}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\nu_{d} : \mathbb{P}^{r} \rightarrow \mathbb{P}^{N}, N := \left( \begin{array}{ll} r + d \\ \,\,\,\,\,\, r \end{array} \right)- 1,}$ denote the degree d Veronese embedding of ${\mathbb{P}^{r}}$ . For any ${P\, \in \, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , the symmetric tensor rank sr(P) is the minimal cardinality of a set ${\mathcal{S} \subset \nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ spanning P. Let ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ be the set of all ${A \subset \mathbb{P}^{r}}$ such that ${\nu_{d}(A)}$ computes sr(P). Here we classify all ${P \,\in\, \mathbb{P}^{n}}$ such that sr(P) <  3d/2 and sr(P) is computed by at least two subsets of ${\nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ . For such tensors ${P\, \in\, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , we prove that ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ has no isolated points.  相似文献

Let $\{\varphi _n(z)\}_{n\ge 0}$ be a sequence of inner functions satisfying that $\zeta _n(z):=\varphi _n(z)/\varphi _{n+1}(z)\in H^\infty (z)$ for every $n\ge 0$ and $\{\varphi _n(z)\}_{n\ge 0}$ has no nonconstant common inner divisors. Associated with it, we have a Rudin type invariant subspace $\mathcal{M }$ of $H^2(\mathbb{D }^2)$ . The ranks of $\mathcal{M }\ominus w\mathcal{M }$ for $\mathcal{F }_z$ and $\mathcal{F }^*_z$ respectively are determined, where $\mathcal{F }_z$ is the fringe operator on $\mathcal{M }\ominus w\mathcal{M }$ . Let $\mathcal{N }= H^2(\mathbb{D }^2)\ominus \mathcal{M }$ . It is also proved that the rank of $\mathcal{M }\ominus w\mathcal{M }$ for $\mathcal{F }^*_z$ equals to the rank of $\mathcal{N }$ for $T^*_z$ and $T^*_w$ .  相似文献

Let $\mathfrak{g }$ be a Lie algebra, $E$ a vector space containing $\mathfrak{g }$ as a subspace. The paper is devoted to the extending structures problem which asks for the classification of all Lie algebra structures on $E$ such that $\mathfrak{g }$ is a Lie subalgebra of $E$ . A general product, called the unified product, is introduced as a tool for our approach. Let $V$ be a complement of $\mathfrak{g }$ in $E$ : the unified product $\mathfrak{g } \,\natural \, V$ is associated to a system $(\triangleleft , \, \triangleright , \, f, \{-, \, -\})$ consisting of two actions $\triangleleft $ and $\triangleright $ , a generalized cocycle $f$ and a twisted Jacobi bracket $\{-, \, -\}$ on $V$ . There exists a Lie algebra structure $[-,-]$ on $E$ containing $\mathfrak{g }$ as a Lie subalgebra if and only if there exists an isomorphism of Lie algebras $(E, [-,-]) \cong \mathfrak{g } \,\natural \, V$ . All such Lie algebra structures on $E$ are classified by two cohomological type objects which are explicitly constructed. The first one $\mathcal{H }^{2}_{\mathfrak{g }} (V, \mathfrak{g })$ will classify all Lie algebra structures on $E$ up to an isomorphism that stabilizes $\mathfrak{g }$ while the second object $\mathcal{H }^{2} (V, \mathfrak{g })$ provides the classification from the view point of the extension problem. Several examples that compute both classifying objects $\mathcal{H }^{2}_{\mathfrak{g }} (V, \mathfrak{g })$ and $\mathcal{H }^{2} (V, \mathfrak{g })$ are worked out in detail in the case of flag extending structures.  相似文献

We study the thermal properties of a pinned disordered harmonic chain weakly perturbed by a noise and an anharmonic potential. The noise is controlled by a parameter $\lambda \rightarrow 0$ , and the anharmonicity by a parameter $\lambda ^{\prime } \le \lambda $ . Let $\kappa $ be the conductivity of the chain, defined through the Green–Kubo formula. Under suitable hypotheses, we show that $\kappa = \mathcal O (\lambda )$ and, in the absence of anharmonic potential, that $\kappa \sim \lambda $ . This is in sharp contrast with the ordered chain for which $\kappa \sim 1/\lambda $ , and so shows the persistence of localization effects for a non-integrable dynamics.  相似文献

We study the structure of a metric n-Lie algebra G over the complex field C. Let G = SR be the Levi decomposition, where R is the radical of G and S is a strong semisimple subalgebra of G. Denote by m(G) the number of all minimal ideals of an indecomposable metric n-Lie algebra and R ⊥ the orthogonal complement of R. We obtain the following results. As S-modules, R ⊥ is isomorphic to the dual module of G/R. The dimension of the vector space spanned by all nondegenerate invariant symmetric bilinear forms on G is equal to that of the vector space of certain linear transformations on G; this dimension is greater than or equal to m(G) + 1. The centralizer of R in G is equal to the sum of all minimal ideals; it is the direct sum of R ⊥ and the center of G. Finally, G has no strong semisimple ideals if and only if R⊥■R.  相似文献

Let E be a vector bundle of rank r over an irreducible smooth projective curve X defined over the field ${\overline{{\mathbb F}}_p}$ F ¯ p . Let ${\xi\, \longrightarrow \, {\rm Fl}(E)}$ ξ ? Fl ( E ) be a line bundle such that for every pair of the form ${(C\, ,\phi)}$ ( C , ? ) , where C is an irreducible smooth projective curve defined over ${\overline{\mathbb F}_p}$ F ¯ p and ${\phi\, :\, C\, \longrightarrow\, {\rm Fl}(E)}$ ? : C ? Fl ( E ) is a nonconstant morphism, the inequality ${{\rm degree}(\phi^* \xi)\, > \, 0}$ degree ( ? ? ξ ) > 0 holds. We prove that the line bundle ${\xi}$ ξ is ample.  相似文献

Let $\mathcal F $ be a holomorphic foliation on $\mathcal M $ , a homogeneous compact Kähler surface, with only hyperbolic singularities. Let $\mathcal L $ be a closed set saturated by leaves of the foliation, containing singularities and with every leaf dense on it. If there are no positive closed currents directed by $\mathcal L $ , then there is a unique positive harmonic current directed by $\mathcal L $ of mass one. This result was previously obtained for $\mathbb CP ^2$ by Fornæss and Sibony and we obtain the result for the rest of homogeneous compact Kähler surfaces.  相似文献

This paper addresses the question of retrieving the triple ${(\mathcal X,\mathcal P, E)}$ from the algebraic geometry code ${\mathcal C = \mathcal C_L(\mathcal X, \mathcal P, E)}$ , where ${\mathcal X}$ is an algebraic curve over the finite field ${\mathbb F_q, \,\mathcal P}$ is an n-tuple of ${\mathbb F_q}$ -rational points on ${\mathcal X}$ and E is a divisor on ${\mathcal X}$ . If ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+1}$ where g is the genus of ${\mathcal X}$ , then there is an embedding of ${\mathcal X}$ onto ${\mathcal Y}$ in the projective space of the linear series of the divisor E. Moreover, if ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+2}$ , then ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ , the vanishing ideal of ${\mathcal Y}$ , is generated by ${I_2(\mathcal Y)}$ , the homogeneous elements of degree two in ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ . If ${n >2 \deg(E)}$ , then ${I_2(\mathcal Y)=I_2(\mathcal Q)}$ , where ${\mathcal Q}$ is the image of ${\mathcal P}$ under the map from ${\mathcal X}$ to ${\mathcal Y}$ . These three results imply that, if ${2g+2\leq m < \frac{1}{2}n}$ , an AG representation ${(\mathcal Y, \mathcal Q, F)}$ of the code ${\mathcal C}$ can be obtained just using a generator matrix of ${\mathcal C}$ where ${\mathcal Y}$ is a normal curve in ${\mathbb{P}^{m-g}}$ which is the intersection of quadrics. This fact gives us some clues for breaking McEliece cryptosystem based on AG codes provided that we have an efficient procedure for computing and decoding the representation obtained.  相似文献

Let $K \subset \mathbb R ^d$ be a smooth convex set and let $\mathcal{P }_{\lambda }$ be a Poisson point process on $\mathbb R ^d$ of intensity ${\lambda }$ . The convex hull of $\mathcal{P }_{\lambda }\cap K$ is a random convex polytope $K_{\lambda }$ . As ${\lambda }\rightarrow \infty $ , we show that the variance of the number of $k$ -dimensional faces of $K_{\lambda }$ , when properly scaled, converges to a scalar multiple of the affine surface area of $K$ . Similar asymptotics hold for the variance of the number of $k$ -dimensional faces for the convex hull of a binomial process in $K$ .  相似文献

Let G be a commutative group, written additively, with a neutral element 0, and let K be a finite group. Suppose that K acts on G via group automorphisms ${G \ni a \mapsto ka \in G}$ , ${k \in K}$ . Let ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ be a complex Hilbert space and let ${{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ . A mapping ${u \colon G \to {\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ is termed a K-spherical function if it satisfies (1) ${|K|^{-1} \sum_{k\in K} u (a+kb)=u (a) u (b)}$ for any ${a,b\in G}$ , where |K| denotes the cardinality of K, and (2) ${u (0) = {\rm id}_{\mathfrak {H}},}$ where ${{\rm id}_{\mathfrak {H}}}$ designates the identity operator on ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ . The main result of the paper is that for each K-spherical function ${u \colon G \to {\mathcal {L}}({\mathfrak {H}})}$ such that ${\| u \|_{\infty} = \sup_{a\in G} \| u (a)\|_{{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})} < \infty,}$ there is an invertible operator S in ${{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ with ${\| S \| \, \| S^{-1}\| \leq |K| \, \| u \|_{\infty}^2}$ such that the K-spherical function ${{\tilde{u}} \colon G \to {\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ defined by ${{\tilde{u}}(a) = S u (a) S^{-1},\,a \in G,}$ satisfies ${{\tilde{u}}(-a) = {\tilde{u}}(a)^*}$ for each ${a \in G}$ . It is shown that this last condition is equivalent to insisting that ${{\tilde{u}}(a)}$ be normal for each ${a \in G}$ .  相似文献

Let $\mathcal K$ be a finite family of orthogonal polytopes in $\mathbb R^d$ such that, for every nonempty subfamily $\mathcal K^\prime $ of $\mathcal K, \cap \{K : K$ in $\mathcal K^\prime \}$ , if nonempty, is a finite union of boxes whose intersection graph is a tree. Assume that every $d + 1$ (not necessarily distinct) members of $\mathcal K$ meet in a (nonempty) staircase starshaped set. Then $S \equiv \cap \{ K : K$ in $\mathcal K\}$ is nonempty and staircase starshaped.  相似文献

The paper deals with the existence of entire solutions for a quasilinear equation ${(\mathcal E)_\lambda}$ in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ , depending on a real parameter λ, which involves a general elliptic operator in divergence form A and two main nonlinearities. The competing nonlinear terms combine each other, being the first subcritical and the latter supercritical. We prove the existence of a critical value λ* > 0 with the property that ${(\mathcal E)_\lambda}$ admits nontrivial non-negative entire solutions if and only if λ ≥ λ*. Furthermore, when ${\lambda > \overline{\lambda} \ge \lambda^*}$ , the existence of a second independent nontrivial non-negative entire solution of ${(\mathcal{E})_\lambda}$ is proved under a further natural assumption on A.  相似文献
