In order to grasp the downhole situation immediately, logging while drilling(LWD) technology is adopted. One of the LWD technologies, called acoustic telemetry, can be successfully applied to modern drilling. It is critical for acoustic telemetry technology that the signal is successfully transmitted to the ground. In this paper, binary phase shift keying(BPSK) is used to modulate carrier waves for the transmission and a new BPSK demodulation scheme based on Duffing chaos is investigated. Firstly, a high-order system is given in order to enhance the signal detection capability and it is realized through building a virtual circuit using an electronic workbench(EWB). Secondly, a new BPSK demodulation scheme is proposed based on the intermittent chaos phenomena of the new Duffing system. Finally, a system variable crossing zero-point equidistance method is proposed to obtain the phase difference between the system and the BPSK signal. Then it is determined that the digital signal transmitted from the bottom of the well is ‘0' or ‘1'. The simulation results show that the demodulation method is feasible.  相似文献

The non-linear degradation along a RZ-WDM 40 Gb/s transmission link is shown to be reduced when a spectral direct sequence bipolar phase shift keying (DS/BPSK) encoding format is used. Standard single mode fibre transmission links are studied which use optical phase conjugation for dispersion compensation in the encoded system. For a WDM system with 100 GHz channel spacing, an improvement of 6 dB is found in the link output power margin at a distance of 300 km after five amplification stages.  相似文献

从分析大气对光无线通信系统的影响出发,研究了大气信道特性,建立了大气信道信噪比和能见度的关系.为降低系统误码率,提出了基于OOK、BPSK、BPPM三种调制模式的turbo码的编码方案,推导出三种不同方案对应的turbo码迭代MAP算法.应用建立的信噪比关系,分析和计算了基于三种不同方案的系统的误码率.结果表明,基于BPSK的turbo码系统比OOK和BPPM系统的信噪比降低约3dB,且在高的信噪比情况下,BPSK系统能显著降低系统的误码率.因此,基于BPSK的turbo码方案较适合光无线通信系统.  相似文献

Abstract

In this article, performance improvement of a free-space optical communication link with spatial diversity is evaluated for coherent (sub-carrier BPSK and sub-carrier QPSK) and non-coherent (OOK and Q-PPM) modulation schemes in an atmospheric turbulence fading channel. Based on Kolmogorov's theory, the link performance characterized by the signal-to-noise ratio or bit error rate is evaluated for both modulation schemes. It is observed that there is performance improvement with the increase in the order of transmit diversity for all the modulation schemes. Sub-carrier BPSK modulation outperforms the other modulation schemes in terms of the minimum signal-to-noise ratio requirement for a given bit error rate. Also, the effect of correlation among different transmitting antenna beams on the link performance is analyzed.  相似文献

Optical 30-symbol quadriphase-shift keyed (QPSK) and binary-phase-shift keyed (BPSK) codes were processed in a spatial-spectral holographic correlator with the Er(3+): Y(2)SiO(5) spectral hole-burning material operating at 1536 nm in the important 1550-nm communications band. The results demonstrate the ability of spatial-spectral holographic correlators to process QPSK codes and BPSK codes with the same apparatus. The high-fidelity correlations produced by this optical coherent transient device exhibit the low sidelobe characteristics expected for the codes used.  相似文献

本文首先利用5.8 GHz微波实际测量了辉光放电等离子体源电子密度和碰撞频率随时间的变化规律. 然后搭建实验平台, 测试了多种通信调制体制的信号经过该等离子体源后的误码率, 实验发现BPSK调制方式的信号在该时间变化的等离子体信道中通信误码率最小. 最后加入磁场, 实验测试了L波段(1.5 GHz) BPSK调制信号和S波段(2.5 GHz) QPSK信号在该磁化等离子体中的衰减、相移以及眼图和星座图的变化, 通过与非磁化情况下对比发现, 加入磁场后, 信道的通信性能有所改善, 误码率显著降低, 可以有效地缓解时变等离子体引起的幅度和相位上的寄生调制效应.  相似文献

Optical header recognition is one key function that enables ultrafast optical routing in photonic packet-switched networks. Especially, optical header recognition based on optical correlation processing has attracted much attention. Header signals using optical codes are decoded using optical correlation processing. We improve the decoding method for Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) header signals in order to suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in the header recognition unit. We design a header recognition filter using the technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF). Results of preliminary experiments show that the designed header recognition filter can suppress crosstalk. The intensity ratio of correlation signals of a target header signal to non-target ones is higher than 1.95 : 1 in case of 4-bits BPSK header signals.  相似文献

为了加快符号回归常数模算法(SRCMA)的收敛速度,本文提出了一种适合于BPSK信号 的快速算法。该算法用新的误差函数替代SRCMA中的误差函数,新误差函数针对BPSK信号而 设计。新算法采用分数间隔均衡模型,有效地加快了SRCMA算法的收敛速度。水声信道仿真实验 表明,该算法性能稳定,收敛速度快,适用于快速变化信道的盲均衡和水声通信数据的实时恢复。  相似文献

Liquid-crystal phase equilibria of Lennard-Jones chain fluids and the solubility of a Lennard-Jones gas in the coexisting phases are calculated from Monte Carlo simulations. Direct phase equilibria calculations are performed using an expanded formulation of the Gibbs ensemble. Monomer densities, order parameters, and equilibrium pressures are reported for the coexisting isotropic and nematic phases of: (1) linear Lennard-Jones chains, (2) a partially-flexible Lennard-Jones chain, and (3) a binary mixture of linear Lennard-Jones chains. The effect of chain length is determined by calculating the isotropic-nematic coexistence of linear Lennard-Jones chain fluids made of 8, 10, and 12 segments (8-, 10-, 12-mer). The effect of molecular flexibility on the isotropic-nematic equilibrium is studied for a Lennard-Jones 10-mer chain fluid with one freely-jointed segment at the end of the chain. An isotropic-nematic phase split and fractionation are reported for a binary mixture of linear 7-mer and 12-mer chains. Simulation results are compared with theoretical results as obtained from a recently developed analytical equation of state based on perturbation theory. Excellent agreement between theory and simulations is observed. The solubility of a monomer Lennard-Jones gas in the coexisting isotropic and nematic phases is estimated using the Widom test-particle insertion method. A linear relationship between solubility difference and density difference at isotropic-nematic coexistence is observed. It is shown that gas solubility is independent of the nematic ordering of the fluid, at constant temperature and density conditions.  相似文献

We report very low temperature ( T) thermopower and resistivity ( rho) measurements on variable-density, two-dimensional hole systems confined to GaAs quantum wells. As the hole density is lowered from 1.49x10(11) cm(-2) to 0.14x10(11) cm(-2), the system crosses from an insulating ( drho / dT less, similar0) to a metallic regime ( drho / dT>0) and finally displays insulating behavior ( drho / dT<0). Diffusion thermopower shows a striking sign reversal in a narrow range of density in the metallic regime, suggesting a qualitative change in the conduction or the scattering mechanism.  相似文献

Nulling interferometry is a method of detecting a faint source near a bright one, in which destructive interference is realized for the light from the bright source. A nulling interferometer that makes use of geometric phase (Pancharatnam phase) is proposed. An experimental setup is constructed to simulate a stellar interferometer with geometric-phase modulation. We report a novel implementation of an all-optical rephasing, reshaping, and reamplification differential phase shift keying (DPSK) regenerator. The rephasing is based on converting phase noise into amplitude noise by using an interferometric configuration and then eliminating the amplitude noise by using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). The reshaping is performed using gain competition and gain compression in a saturated SOA. The scheme was tested using 10Gbit/s, 2(23)-1 pseudorandom bit sequence return-to-zero DPSK data. The measurement shows removal of the degraded data error floor with a 6 order-of-magnitude improvement in bit-error rate. The measured negative power penalty is about 4dB. Mathematical analysis shows a reduction in DPSK phase-noise power by half.  相似文献

Orthogonal wavelets enclose more potential of dropping the ISI- and ICI-sway amid the carriers due to multipath propagation over the free-space fading channels. Moreover, wavelet-OFDM is more bandwidth efficient as compared to conventional OFDM and is less affected by Doppler shift. Accordingly, a BER estimation of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) based OFDM system and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) based OFDM system is carried out in this work. The assessment is demonstrated by means of diverse modulation schemes explicitly BPSK, QPSK, 8-PSK, QAM, 8-QAM, 16-QAM for both conventional- and wavelet-OFDM wireless system over AWGN channels. Higher orders of PSK schemes involve more SNR requirement to target an acceptable BER of 10−5 over AWGN channels in both the cases. Furthermore, the efficiency of W-OFDM increases with decreasing the required value of BER.  相似文献

A parallel multichannel format conversion scheme for elastic optical networking based on four wave mixing (FWM) in symmetric highly nonlinear fiber loop (S-HNLF-L) is proposed and the performance is evaluated and discussed. Parallel four channels format conversion from quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) to binary phase shift keying (BPSK) signals at 40 Gb/s is theoretically analyzed and simulated. We report on a modification of optical coherence tomography (OCT) that allows one to measure small phase differences between beams traversing adjacent areas of a specimen. The sample beam of a polarization-sensitive low-coherence interferometer is split by a Wollaston prism into two components that traverse the object along closely spaced paths. After reflection at the various sample surfaces, the beams are recombined at the Wollaston prism. Any phase difference encountered between the two beams is converted into a change of polarization state of the recombined beam. This change is measured, and the resulting signals are converted to differential phase-contrast OCT images. The first images obtained from simple test objects allowed us to determine path-difference gradients with a resolution of the order of 5 x 10(-5) .  相似文献

Preheated Bi (296-532 K) was ramp compressed with 15-35 ns rise times to a peak stress of approximately 11 GPa to explore structural phase-transformation kinetics under dynamic loading conditions. At high strain rates, epsilon[over ]>5 x 10;{6} s;{-1}, deviation from equilibrium phase boundaries suggests that compression time scales are comparable to the new phase incubation period. The dependence of DeltaP/kT on epsilon[over ] is consistent with a thermally activated transformation.  相似文献

The carrier squeezing interferometry algorithm is proposed to retrieve the phase from interferograms with phase shift errors. A linear carrier is introduced in the interferograms, and the image data is rearranged by the squeezing interferometry technology. In the spectrum of the rearranged image, the error lobe and the phase lobe are separated so the error-free phase can be retrieved by filtering. The simulated interferograms with phase shift errors are computed, and the precisions are better than 8.4×10(-4)λ. Its validation is verified by experiments, where a mean precision of 0.0040λ is obtained.  相似文献

摘要提出一个新型的毫米波光纤传输系统及本振信号远程传送的结构.此技术能为将来使用皮蜂窝网络提供宽带无线接入服务给出一个简单的基站接入点解决方案.计算和仿真结果表明,在激光器输出功率为-6.5 dBm,光放大增益为6 dB,激光线宽为1 MHz,75 MHz或150 MHz,误码率不超过10-9的情形下,622 Mbit/s的下行相移键控信号能够在传统单模光纤上传输超过30 km的距离.在具有相对大的激光器线宽150 MHz和光纤距离为30 km时,由激光器相位噪音和光纤色散所引起的(通过远程传送的)毫米波本振信号的额外相位误差的方差仅为1.74°.  相似文献

A new method of optical guidance by the implosion phase of a fast Z-pinch discharge in a gas-filled capillary is proposed. An imploding plasma column has a concave electron-density profile in the radial direction, just before a stagnation phase driven by a converging current sheet and a shock wave. The feasibility of optical guidance of a high-intensity (>1 x 10(17) W/cm(2)) Ti:sapphire laser pulse by use of this method over a distance of 2 cm, corresponding to 12.5 times the Rayleigh length, has been experimentally demonstrated. The guiding-channel formation process was directly probed with a He-Ne laser beam. The electron density in the fully ionized channel was estimated to be 2.0 x 10(17) cm(-3) on the axis and 7.0 x 10(17) cm(-3) on the peaks of the channel edge, with a diameter of 70 mum, as indicated by the experimental results, which were corroborated by a magnetohydrodynamics simulation.  相似文献
