The authors study the bifurcation of homoclinic orbits from a degenerate homoclinic orbit in reversible system. The unperturbed system is assumed to have saddle-center type equilibrium whose stable and unstable manifolds intersect in two-dimensional manifolds. A perturbation technique for the detection of symmetric and nonsymmetric homoctinic orbits near the primary homoclinic orbits is developed. Some known results are extended.  相似文献

This paper investigates the exponential stability problem for a class of singularly perturbed impulsive systems in which the flow dynamics is unstable and is affected at discrete time instants by impulses that have both destabilizing and stabilizing effects. More precisely the impulses have stabilizing effects on the slow variables but destabilizing effects on the fast ones. Thus, a first contribution of our work is related to stability analysis of singularly perturbed impulsive systems in the case when neither the flow dynamics nor the impulsive one is stable. In order to take full advantage of the jump matrix structure and its stabilizing effects on the slow dynamics, we introduce a new impulse-dependent vector Lyapunov function. This function allows us to better describe the behavior between two consecutive impulses as well as the jumps at impulse instants. Several numerically tractable criteria for stability of singularly perturbed impulsive systems are established based on vector comparison principle. Additionally, upper bounds on the singular perturbation parameter are derived. Finally, the validity of our results is verified by two numerical examples.  相似文献

A singularly perturbed boundary value problem with weak nonlinearity in the case when the degenerate equation has a multiple root is studied. The asymptotic approximation of the solution is constructed by the modified boundary layer function method. Based on the comparison principle, there exist multizonal boundary layers in the neighborhood of the endpoints. In this paper, we study a nonlinear first-order singularly perturbed Volterra integro-differential equation with delay. This equation is discretized by the backward Euler for differential part and the composite numerical quadrature formula for integral part for which both an a priori and an a posteriori error analysis in the maximum norm are derived. Based on the a priori error bound and mesh equidistribution principle, we prove that there exists a mesh gives optimal first order convergence which is robust with respect to the perturbation parameter. The a posteriori error bound is used to choose a suitable monitor function and design a corresponding adaptive grid generation algorithm. Furthermore, we extend our presented adaptive grid algorithm to a class of second-order nonlinear singularly perturbed delay differential equations. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of our presented monitor function. Meanwhile, it is shown that the standard arc-length monitor function is unsuitable for this type of singularly perturbed delay differential equations with a turning point.  相似文献

The order reduction method for singularly perturbed optimal control systems consists of employing the system obtained while setting the small parameter to be zero. In many situations the differential-algebraic system thus obtained indeed provides an appropriate approximation to the singularly perturbed problem with a small parameter. In this paper we establish that if relaxed controls are allowed then the answer to the question whether or not this method is valid depends essentially on one simple parameter: the dimension of the fast variable, denoted n. More specifically, if n=1 then the order reduction method is indeed applicable, while if n>1 then the set of singularly perturbed optimal control systems for which it is not applicable is dense (in the L norm).  相似文献

采用非对称内罚间断有限元方法(以下简称NIPG方法)求解一维对流扩散型奇异摄动问题.理论上证明了采用拉格朗日线性元的NIPG方法在Bakhvalov-Shishkin网格上具有最优阶的一致收敛性,即在能量范数度量下其误差估计为O(N~(-1)),其中N为网格剖分中单元个数.数值算例验证了理论分析的正确性.  相似文献
