Within an effective Lagrangian approach and resonance model, we study the γp→a_1(1260)~+n andγp→π~+π~+π~-n reactions via the π-exchange mechanism. For the γp→π~+π~+π~-n reaction, we perform a calculation of the differential and total cross-sections by considering the contributions of the a1(1260) intermediate resonance decaying into per and then into π~+π~+π~-. Besides,the non-resonance process is also considered. With a lower mass of a1(1260), the experimental data for the invariant π~+π~+π~-mass distributions can be fairly well reproduced. For theγp→a_1(1260)~+n reaction, with the model parameters, the total cross-section is of the order of 10 μb at the photon beam energy Eγ~2.5 GeV. It is expected that the model calculations in this work could be tested by future experiments. 相似文献

The diffractive reaction p + N → [∑+ K 0] + N induced by 70-GeV protons is investigated at the SPHINX facility. The measured mass spectrum of the ∑+ K 0 system originating from this reaction shows a resonance structure with a mass of M=1995±18 MeV and a width of Γ=90±32 MeV. The cross section for the formation of this structure is found to be σ=182±38 nb per target nucleon. These data comply well with the results that we obtained previously in studying the reaction p + N → [∑0 K +] + N, where we observed the formation of the X(2000) → ∑0 K + state, a candidate for an exotic baryon with hidden strangeness. The measured ratio R of the two branching fractions, R = Br[X(2000) → ∑+ K 0]/Br[X(2000) → ∑0 K +] = 1.91 ± 0.38, is consistent with the value of R=2 expected for an isospin-1/2 baryon. 相似文献

The results obtained by measuring, at the U-70 accelerator in Protvino, the single-spin asymmetry A N in the reaction p + p └ → π0 + X at a beam energy of 50 GeV in the Feynman variable range of ?0.6 < x F < ?0.1 are presented. The asymmetry A N is close to zero at small |x F | and grows in magnitude with |x F |, reaching 6.4% in the region of |x F | > 0.25. The results of these measurements agree with data of the E704 experiment on the asymmetry of π 0 mesons at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in the region of polarized-beam fragmentation and with the results of measurements in the region of polarized-target fragmentation that were performed in Protvino by using a 40-GeV π ?-meson beam and a 70-GeV proton beam. 相似文献

Fermilab data for the angular distribution measurements of the reaction –p 0n are investigated and it is shown that a good fit with experiment is obtained by using a simple Regge pole model with phenomenological residue functions. The reaction e+e− → ηπ+π− has been studied with the Neutral Detector in the CM energy range 1.05–1.40 GeV at VEPP-2M. At the maximum energy the cross section exceeds the prediction of the vector dominance with one ϱ(770). The following upper limits for the electron width times branching ratio into ηπ+π− have been obtained for a resonance with a mass of 1.28 GeV and width of 0.08 GeV observed with the Omega-spectrometer at CERN: Λee·Bηππ < 9 eV, and for a ϱ′(1250) with a mass of 1.26 GeV and width of 0.125 GeV: Λee·Bηππ < 14 eV at 90% confidence level. 相似文献

We investigate the K^∗ production in the KN→Kπp reaction using the effective Lagrangian approach and the isobar model.To describe this reaction,we first take into account the contributions from the π,ρ and ω exchanges,as in previous studies.We find that although the experimental data can be generally described,there are some obvious discrepancies between the model and the experiments.To improve the model,we consider the contributions of the axial-vector meson and hyperon exchange.It is shown that a large contribution of the axial-vector meson exchange can significantly improve the results.This may indicate that the coupling of the axial-vector meson,e.g.a1(1260),is large in the KK^∗ channel.To verify our model,measurements of the angular distributions and spin density matrix elements of K^∗0 in the KLp→K^∗0p reaction would be helpful,and we make predictions for this reaction for a future comparison. 相似文献

The existence of the new class of hadronic states, glueball, hybrid mesons and hybrid baryons, is one of the important prediction of the QCD. It is an excited and attractive research preject to search for and identify these non-qq meson and non-qqq baryon states. The theoretical expectations on the mass spectrum of hybrid baryons have been carried out in the bag model, QCD sum rules and flux tube model. We might expect that J/ψ hadronic decay processes are the good place to study hybrid baryons. The J/ψ decay process J/ψ→p+X,X→Δ+π, where p and Δ are the antiproton and Δ baryon with spin parity (3/2)+, respectively, are studied in terms of the angular distribution and the generalized moment analysis methods. Precise angular distribution and moment representation of baryon resonance (including the hybrid baryon) X with spin parity (1/2)±,(3/2)±,and (5/2)± are obtained. They can be used to identify the spin of the baryon resonance state X. 相似文献

First exclusive data for the $\ensuremath{pp \to nn\pi^+\pi^+}$ reaction have been obtained at CELSIUS with the WASA detector setup at a beam energy of Tp = 1.1 GeV. Total and differential cross-sections disagree with theoretical calculations, which predict the $ \Delta$ $ \Delta$ excitation to be the dominant process at this beam energy. Instead, the data require the excitation of one of the nucleons to a higher-lying $ \Delta$ state, preferably the $\ensuremath{\Delta(1600)P_{33}}$ , to be the leading process. 相似文献

Role of theΛ(1600)is studied in the K^-p→Λπ^0π^0 reaction by using the effective Lagrangian approach near the threshold.We perform a calculation for the total and differential cross sections by considering the contributions from theΛ(1600)andΛ(1670)intermediate resonances decaying intoπ^0∑^*0(1385)with∑^*0(1385)decaying intoπ^0Λ.Additionally,the non-resonance process from u-channel nucleon pole is also taken into account.With our model parameters,the current experimental data on the total cross sections of the K^-p→Λπ^0π^0 reaction can be well reproduced.It is shown that we really need the contribution from the A(1600)with spin-parity J^P=1/2^+,and that these measurements can be used to determine some of the properties of theΛ(1600)resonance.Furthermore,we also plot theπ0Λinvariant mass distributions which could be tested by the future experimental measurements. 相似文献

The cross section for the e + e ? ?? ???0 ?? ??0??0?? process has been measured in the energy range of 1.1?C1.9 GeV. The measurement has been made with the Spherical Neutral Detector at the VEPP-2000 e + e ? collider. The data in the energy range of 1.1?C1.4 GeV are in agreement with the earlier measurements with the SND and CMD-2 detectors. The cross section has also been measured above 1.4 GeV. 相似文献

The diffusion limited reaction A+B0 in sufficiently low dimensions results in macroscopically self-regregated systems with anomalous reaction rate laws. When the chemical mixture is embedded in a fluctuating velocity field having statistics mimicking turbulent diffusion the effects of spatial inhomogeneities are washed out and the classical global reaction rate laws in three dimensions result. 相似文献

Simulations based on a coupled-channel transport model have been performed to analyze the feasibility to study the in-medium
ω mass exploiting the process γ + A→π0γ + X for C, Ca and Nb nuclei. The distortions due to final-state interactions of the π0 and background contributions from the reaction γ + A→π0π0 + X are found to be small in the mass range of interest ( 0.6 < M
π0γ < 0.8 GeV). Furthermore, the effect of the detector resolution on the π0γ mass determination is discussed.

The KTeV E799 experiment has conducted a search for the rare decays, K(L)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-) and K(L)→π(0)π(0)X(0)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-), where the X(0) is a possible new neutral boson that was reported by the HyperCP experiment with a mass of (214.3 ± 0.5) MeV/c(2). We find no evidence for either decay. We obtain upper limits of Br(K(L)→π(0)π(0)X(0)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-)) < 1.0 × 10(-10) and Br(K(L)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-)) < 9.2 × 10(-11) at the 90% confidence level. This result rules out the pseudoscalar X(0) as an explanation of the HyperCP result under the scenario that the dsX(0) coupling is completely real. 相似文献

In an experiment with the Spherical Neutral Detector at VEPP-2M collider the cross section of the process e+e-→π+π-π0π0 was measured. At energies √s < 920 MeV this cross section was measured for the first time. The energy dependence of the cross section is well discribed by the vector dominance
model with contributions from ρ, ρ' ρ", mesons. The decay probability ρ→π+π-π0π0was found to be Bρ = (1.60±0.74±0.18)×10-5. The upper limit for the decay ω→π+π-π0π0 was improved by two orders of magnitude compared to the previous measurements and is Bω < 2 × 10-4 at 90% confidence level. 相似文献

Results from a high statistics study of the reaction K−p→K−π+n are presented. These results are based on data obtained with an 11 GeV/c beam using the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. The mass dependence of the spherical harmonic moments provides clear evidence for the production of the complete leading orbitally excited K1 series up through JP = 5−. These moments are used to perform an energy independent partial wave analysis of the K−π+ system from threshold to 2.6 GeV/c2 using a t-dependent parametrization of the production amplitudes. The amplitudes corroborate the leading K1(892), K21(1430), K31(1780), K41(2060), and K51(2380) resonances observed directly in the moments, and also provide new evidence for underlying states. The 0+ amplitude contains the K01(1350) and a second 0+K1(1950) at higher mass. The 1−K1(1790) seen earlier two and three-body analyses is confirmed, and evidence is provided for suppressed K−π+ decay mode of a second 1− state, the K1(1410), which has been seen in earlier three-body analyses. 相似文献
