The notion of quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelets is a generalization of the notion of orthogonal wavelets. A quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelet with the cardinality r consists of r pairs of functions. In this paper we first analyze the local property of the quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelet and show that its each pair of functions generates reconstruction formulas of the corresponding subspaces. Next we show that the lower bound of its cardinalities depends on a pair of dual frame multiresolution analyses deriving it. Finally, we present a split trick and show that any quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelet can be split into a new quasi-biorthogonal frame wavelet with an arbitrarily large cardinality. For generality, we work in the setting of matrix dilations.  相似文献

Generalized shift-invariant (GSI) systems, originally introduced by Hernández et al. and Ron and Shen, provide a common frame work for analysis of Gabor systems, wavelet systems, wave packet systems, and other types of structured function systems. In this paper we analyze three important aspects of such systems. First, in contrast to the known cases of Gabor frames and wavelet frames, we show that for a GSI system forming a frame, the Calderón sum is not necessarily bounded by the lower frame bound. We identify a technical condition implying that the Calderón sum is bounded by the lower frame bound and show that under a weak assumption the condition is equivalent with the local integrability condition introduced by Hernández et al. Second, we provide explicit and general constructions of frames and dual pairs of frames having the GSI-structure. In particular, the setup applies to wave packet systems and in contrast to the constructions in the literature, these constructions are not based on characteristic functions in the Fourier domain. In this paper, we introduce the concept of a g-Besselian frame in a Hilbert space and discuss the relations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame. We also give some characterizations of g-Besselian frames. In the end of this paper, we discuss the stability of g-Besselian frames. Our results show that the relations and the characterizations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame are different from the corresponding results of g-frames and frames.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the feasibility and stability of recovering signals in finite-dimensional spaces from unordered partial frame coefficients. We prove that with an almost self-located robust frame, any signal except from a Lebesgue measure zero subset can be recovered from its unordered partial frame coefficients. However, the recovery is not necessarily stable with almost self-located robust frames. We propose a new class of frames, namely self-located robust frames, that ensures stable recovery for any input signal with unordered partial frame coefficients. In particular, the recovery is exact whenever the received unordered partial frame coefficients are noise-free. We also present some characterizations and constructions for (almost) self-located robust frames. Based on these characterizations and construction algorithms, we prove that any randomly generated frame is almost surely self-located robust. Moreover, frames generated with cube roots of different prime numbers are also self-located robust.  相似文献

In this paper, firstly, in order to establish our main techniques we give a direct proof for the existence of the dilations for pairs of dual group frames. Then we focus on proving the uniqueness of such dilations in certain sense of similarity and giving an operator parameterization of the dilations of all pairs of dual group frames for a given group frame. In this paper we study the fusion frame potential that is a generalization of the Benedetto-Fickus (vectorial) frame potential to the finite-dimensional fusion frame setting. We study the structure of local and global minimizers of this potential, when restricted to suitable sets of fusion frames. These minimizers are related to tight fusion frames as in the classical vector frame case. Still, tight fusion frames are not as frequent as tight frames; indeed we show that there are choices of parameters involved in fusion frames for which no tight fusion frame can exist. We exhibit necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of tight fusion frames with prescribed parameters, involving the so-called Horn-Klyachko’s compatibility inequalities. The second part of the work is devoted to the study of the minimization of the fusion frame potential on a fixed sequence of subspaces, with a varying sequence of weights. We related this problem to the index of the Hadamard product by positive matrices and use it to give different characterizations of these minima.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop the theory of the discrete moving frame in two different ways. In the first half of the paper, we consider a discrete moving frame defined on a lattice variety and the equivalence classes of global syzygies that result from the first fundamental group of the variety. In the second half, we consider the continuum limit of discrete moving frames as a local lattice coalesces to a point. To achieve a well-defined limit of discrete frames, we construct multispace, a generalisation of the jet bundle that also generalises Olver’s one-dimensional construction. Using interpolation to provide coordinates, we prove that it is a manifold containing the usual jet bundle as a submanifold. We show that continuity of a multispace moving frame ensures that the discrete moving frame converges to a continuous one as lattices coalesce. The smooth frame is, at the same time, the restriction of the multispace frame to the embedded jet bundle. We prove further that the discrete invariants and syzygies approximate their smooth counterparts. In effect, a frame on multispace allows smooth frames and their discretisations to be studied simultaneously. In our last chapter we discuss two important applications, one to the discrete variational calculus, and the second to discrete integrable systems. Finally, in an appendix, we discuss a more general result concerning equicontinuous families of discretisations of moving frames, which are consistent with a smooth frame.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to improve the customary definition of redundancy by providing quantitative measures in its place, which we coin upper and lower redundancies, that match better with an intuitive understanding of redundancy for finite frames in a Hilbert space. This motivates a carefully chosen list of desired properties for upper and lower redundancies. The means to achieve these properties is to consider the maximum and minimum of a redundancy function, which is interesting in itself. The redundancy function is defined on the sphere of the Hilbert space and measures the concentration of frame vectors around each point. A complete characterization of functions on the sphere which coincide with a redundancy function for some frame is given. The upper and lower redundancies obtained from this function are then shown to satisfy all of the intuitively desirable properties. In addition, the range of values they assume is characterized.  相似文献

In this paper, necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the irregular shearlet systems to be frames are studied. We show that the irregular shearlet systems to possess upper frame bounds, the space‐scale‐shear parameters must be relatively separated. We prove that if the irregular shearlet systems possess the lower frame bound and the space‐scale‐shear parameters satisfy certain condition, then the lower shearlet density is strictly positive. We apply these results to systems consisting only of dilations, obtaining some new results relating density to the frame properties of these systems. We prove that for a feasible class of shearlet generators introduced by P. Kittipoom et al., each relatively separated sequence with sufficiently hight density will generate a frame. Explicit frame bounds are given. We also study the stability of shearlet frames and show that a frame generated by certain shearlet function remains a frame when the space‐scale‐shear parameters and the generating function undergo small perturbations. Explicit stability bounds are given. Using pseudo‐spline functions of type I and II, we construct a family of irregular shearlet frames consisting of compactly supported shearlets to illustrate our results.  相似文献

Given a bandlimited signal, we consider the sampling of the signal and some of its derivatives in a periodic manner. The mathematical concept of frames is utilized in the analysis of the properties of the sequence of sampling functions. The frame operator of this sequence is expressed as a matrix-valued function multiplying a vector-valued function. An important property of this matrix is that the maximum and minimum eigenvalues are equal (in some sense) to the upper and lower frame bounds. We present a method for finding the dual frame and, thereby, a method for reconstructing the signal from its samples. Using the matrix approach we prove that the sequence of sampling functions is always complete in the cases of critical sampling and oversampling. A sufficient condition for the sequence of sampling functions to constitute a frame is derived. We show that if no sampling of the signal itself is involved, the sampling is not stable and cannot be stabilized by oversampling. Examples are considered, and the frame bounds in the case of sampling of the signal and its first derivative are calculated explicitly. Finally, the matrix approach can be similarly applied to other problems of signal representation.  相似文献

Nonlinear diffusion filtering and wavelet/frame shrinkage are two popular methods for signal and image denoising. The relationship between these two methods has been studied recently. In this paper we investigate the correspondence between frame shrinkage and nonlinear diffusion.We show that the frame shrinkage of Ron-Shen?s continuous-linear-spline-based tight frame is associated with a fourth-order nonlinear diffusion equation. We derive high-order nonlinear diffusion equations associated with general tight frame shrinkages. These high-order nonlinear diffusion equations are different from the high-order diffusion equations studied in the literature. We also construct two sets of tight frame filter banks which result in the sixth- and eighth-order nonlinear diffusion equations.The correspondence between frame shrinkage and diffusion filtering is useful to design diffusion-inspired shrinkage functions with competitive performance. On the other hand, the study of such a correspondence leads to a new type of diffusion equations and helps to design frame-inspired diffusivity functions. The denoising results with diffusion-inspired shrinkages provided in this paper are promising.  相似文献

The concept of super‐wavelet was introduced by Balan, and Han and Larson over the field of real numbers which has many applications not only in engineering branches but also in different areas of mathematics. To develop this notion on local fields having positive characteristic we obtain characterizations of super‐wavelets of finite length as well as Parseval frame multiwavelet sets of finite order in this setup. Using the group theoretical approach based on coset representatives, further we establish Shannon type multiwavelet in this perspective while providing examples of Parseval frame (multi)wavelets and (Parseval frame) super‐wavelets. In addition, we obtain necessary conditions for decomposable and extendable Parseval frame wavelets associated to Parseval frame super‐wavelets.  相似文献

Fusion-Riesz frame (Riesz frame of subspace) whose all subsets are fusion frame sequences with the same bounds is a special fusion frame. It is also considered a generalization of Riesz frame since it shares some important properties of Riesz frame. In this paper, we show a part of these properties of fusion-Riesz frame and the new results about the stabilities of fusion-Riesz frames under operator perturbation (simple named operator perturbation of fusion-Riesz frames). Moreover, we also compare the operator perturbation of fusion-Riesz frame with that of fusion frame, fusion-Riesz basis (also called Riesz decomposition or Riesz fusion basis) and exact fusion frame.  相似文献

In this article, the measure space associated with a continuous frame is supposed to be σ-finite and positive, and a frame range is the range of the analysis operator for a continuous frame. Gabardo and Han in 2003 asked whether two frame ranges can both be contained in another one. To solve this problem, we give two decompositions of analysis operators and frame ranges for continuous frames respectively, which essentially establish a relationship between continuous frames and Hilbert-Schmidt operator valued frames. As applications, it follows that only separable Hilbert space can have a continuous frame, that there exists a continuous frame of Riesz-type if and only if the associated measure space is purely atomic, and that the sum of two frame ranges is still a frame range when the sum is closed. Finally, we construct a counterexample which shows that the Gabardo-Han problem is not necessarily true in general.  相似文献

Summary We study the stability of Gabor frames with arbitrary sampling points in the time-frequency plane, in several aspects. We prove that a Gabor frame generated by a window function in the Segal algebra S0(Rd) remains a frame even if (possibly) all the sampling points undergo an arbitrary perturbation, as long as this is uniformly small. We give explicit stability bounds when the window function is nice enough, showing that the allowed perturbation depends only on the lower frame bound of the original family and some qualitative parameters of the window under consideration. For the perturbation of window functions we show that a Gabor frame generated by any window function with arbitrary sampling points remains a frame when the window function has a small perturbation in S0(Rd) sense. We also study the stability of dual frames, which is useful in practice but has not found much attention in the literature. We give some general results on this topic and explain consequences to Gabor frames.  相似文献

Frame theory is closely intertwined with signal processing through a canon of methodologies for the analysis of signals using (redundant) linear measurements. The canonical dual frame associated with a frame provides a means for reconstruction by a least squares approach, but other dual frames yield alternative reconstruction procedures. The novel paradigm of sparsity has recently entered the area of frame theory in various ways. Of those different sparsity perspectives, we will focus on the situations where frames and (not necessarily canonical) dual frames can be written as sparse matrices. The objective for this approach is to ensure not only low-complexity computations, but also high compressibility. We will discuss both existence results and explicit constructions.  相似文献

We construct alternative frames of discernment from input belief functions. We assume that the core of each belief function is a subset of a so far unconstructed frame of discernment. The alternative frames are constructed as different cross products of unions of different cores. With the frames constructed the belief functions are combined for each alternative frame. The appropriateness of each frame is evaluated in two ways: (i) we measure the aggregated uncertainty (an entropy measure) of the combined belief functions for that frame to find if the belief functions are interacting in interesting ways, (ii) we measure the conflict in Dempster’s rule when combining the belief functions to make sure they do not exhibit too much internal conflict. A small frame typically yields a small aggregated uncertainty but a large conflict, and vice versa. The most appropriate frame of discernment is that which minimizes a probabilistic sum of the conflict and a normalized aggregated uncertainty of all combined belief functions for that frame of discernment.  相似文献

本文通过分析阴影的像素特征,建立了一个关于目标帧与背景帧的对比帧来实现阴影监测和消除.为了研究问题方便,本文只考虑视频系统中的摄像头是固定位置的,并且检测目标区域中的较大阴影.利用光流法技术和背景差方法,运动目标能被快速准确的提取出来.同时,背景帧、前景帧及它们的对比帧也被提取出来,而对比帧具有更好的阴影特征.在对比帧上,可以使用静态图像处理技术的一些高效算法,来实时检测阴影区域.本文提出一个对比帧的建立方法,并进一步利用水平集方法来定位阴影区域和消除阴影.通过实验,在选择合适的阈值下,该方法是有效而快速的.  相似文献

The paper deals with a dynamical system governing the motion of many point vortices located in different layers of a multi-layer flow under external deformation. The deformation consists of generally independent shear and rotational components. First, we examine the dynamics of the system’s vorticity center. We demonstrate that the vorticity center of such a multi-vortex multi-layer system behaves just like the one of two point vortices interacting in a homogeneous deformation flow. Given nonstationary shear and rotational components oscillating with different magnitudes, the vorticity center may experience parametric instability leading to its unbounded growth. However, we then show that one can shift to a moving reference frame with the origin coinciding with the position of the vorticity center. In this new reference frame, the new vorticity center always stays at the origin of coordinates, and the equations governing the vortex trajectories look exactly the same as if the vorticity center had never moved in the original reference frame. Second, we studied the relative motion of two point vortices located in different layers of a two-layer flow under linear deformation. We analyze their regular and chaotic dynamics identifying parameters resulting in effective and extensive destabilization of the vortex trajectories.  相似文献

We obtain a condition implying that the union of two frame sequences is also a frame sequence. Christensen found a condition for this in terms of orthogonal projections. We phrase our condition by use of the angle between closed subspaces. Also a lower bound formula is obtained.
