A self-assembly of AgClO(4) with a Schiff-base ligand N,N'-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)benzene-1,4-diamine (1) gave a 1D zigzag polymeric array [[Ag(2)(C(18)H(14)N(4))(2)](ClO(4))(2)(CH(3)CN)](n) (3), while the self-assembly of AgClO(4) with 3,3'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (2) afforded the molecular rectangle [[Ag(2)(C(26)H(22)N(4))(2)](ClO(4))(2)] (4). The structures of 3 and 4 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Structural data for 3 indicate that the Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two ligands of 1 in a distorted tetrahedral fashion thereby leading to a 1D zigzag polymeric array. The zigzag chains are interdigitated with weak pi-pi stacking interactions. The structure of 4 consists of a discrete molecular rectangle where the silver atom has a distorted square-planar coordination with the pyridyl ligands and azomethine nitrogen atoms of 2. An intramolecular pi-pi interaction between the phenyl rings of adjacent Schiff-base 2 functions to stabilize the rectangular architecture. The Ag(I)-Schiff-base coordination polymer 3 is not stable in solution. The degradation and reorganization of 3 to form a [2 x 2] grid architecture [[Ag(4)(C(26)H(22)N(4))(4)](ClO(4))(4)] (3g) was supported in a FAB-MS study. The rectangular structure of 4 remains intact in solution at ambient temperature. The complexes 3g and 4 exhibit unusual luminescence behavior in solution at room temperature with significantly red-shifted emission in the visible region.  相似文献

Synthetically accessible benzimidazoles have been synthesized and the benzimidazole ligands were complexed with nickel(II) nitrate. A nickel(II) complex of N,N'-bis(benzimidazole-2-ylethyl)ethylenediamine was crystallized in single-crystal form and the structure was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The structure of the complex is bicapped axial coordinated octahedral. Ni(bbes)(2+)(2)[bbes=bis(benzimidazole-2-ylethyl)sulfide] exhibits broad low energy bands in electronic spectra and high redox potential in cyclic voltammetry (CV) rather than Ni(enbzim)(2+) [enbzim =N,N'-bis(benzimidazol-2-ylethyl)ethylenediamine], where high energy well separated bands were observed in the visible region and a more negative redox potential was detected in CV. Experimental studies show that an increasing amount of pi-orbital interaction with the Ni(2+)ion, irrespective of chelate ring may favour the higher redox potential. The higher redox potential of methanogenic bacterial [Ni(II)/Ni(I)] than nickel compounds is one of the main factors for the degradation of organic biodegradable compounds and the further transformation to methane.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural characterization, and electrochemical properties of a Ni(II) complex derived from the template reaction of N,N'-bis(2-mercaptoethyl)-1,5-diazacyclooctane nickel(II), Ni-1, with ICH(2)CO(2)Na are described. Blue N-(3-thiabutyl)-N'-(3-thiapentanoate)-1,5-diazacyclooctanenickel(II)iodide, [(tbtp-daco)Ni][I], [5]I, contains Ni(II) in an octahedral environment with N(2)S(2)O(2) donor atoms; one oxygen is from an adjacent [(tbtp-daco)Ni] ion and has the same distance to Ni(II) as the intramolecular oxygen, resulting in a coordination polymer. Complex [5]I.H(2)O, C(13)H(27)N(2)O(3)S(2)NiI, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with a = 10.898(3), b = 18.103(5), c = 19.020(5), and Z = 8. The extent to which the polymer is retained in solution is counterion dependent, which influences redox properties (accessibility of Ni(I) and Ni(III)).  相似文献

A series of [Ni(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) complexes containing the cyclic diphosphine ligands [P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2) = 1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane; R = benzyl (Bn), n-butyl (n-Bu), 2-phenylethyl (PE), 2,4,4-trimethylpentyl (TP), and cyclohexyl (Cy)] have been synthesized and characterized. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the cations of [Ni(P(Bn)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) and [Ni(P(n-Bu)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) have distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometries. The Ni(0) complex [Ni(P(Bn)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)] was also synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction studies and shown to have a distorted tetrahedral structure. These complexes, with the exception of [Ni(P(Cy)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2), all exhibit reversible electron transfer processes for both the Ni(II/I) and Ni(I/0) couples and are electrocatalysts for the production of H(2) in acidic acetonitrile solutions. The heterolytic cleavage of H(2) by [Ni(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) complexes in the presence of p-anisidine or p-bromoaniline was used to determine the hydride donor abilities of the corresponding [HNi(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)](BF(4)) complexes. However, for the catalysts with the most bulky R groups, the turnover frequencies do not parallel the driving force for elimination of H(2), suggesting that steric interactions between the alkyl substituents on phosphorus and the nitrogen atom of the pendant amines play an important role in determining the overall catalytic rate.  相似文献

New benzo[h]quinoline ligands (HCN'N) containing a CHRNH2 (R=H (a), Me (b), tBu (c)) function in the 2-position were prepared starting from benzo[h]quinoline N-oxide (in the case of ligand a) and 2-chlorobenzo[h]quinoline (for ligands b and c). These compounds were used to prepare ruthenium and osmium complexes, which are excellent catalysts for the transfer hydrogenation (TH) of ketones. The reaction of a with [RuCl2(PPh3)3] in 2-propanol at reflux afforded the terdentate CN'N complex [RuCl(CN'N)(PPh3)2] (1), whereas the complexes [RuCl(CN'N)(dppb)] (2-4; dppb=Ph2P(CH2)4PPh2) were obtained from [RuCl2(PPh3)(dppb)] with a-c, respectively. Employment of (R,S)-Josiphos, (S,R)-Josiphos*, (S,S)-Skewphos, and (S)-MeO-Biphep in combination with [RuCl2(PPh3)3] and ligand a gave the chiral derivatives [RuCl(CN'N)(PP)] (5-8). The osmium complex [OsCl(CN'N)(dppb)] (12) was prepared by treatment of [OsCl2(PPh3)3] with dppb and ligand a. Reaction of the chloride 2 and 12 with NaOiPr in 2-propanol/toluene afforded the hydride complexes [MH(CN'N)(dppb)] (M=Ru 10, Os 14), through elimination of acetone from [M(OiPr)(CN'N)(dppb)] (M=Ru 9, Os 13). The species 9 and 13 easily reacted with 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone, via 10 and 14, respectively, affording the corresponding isolable alkoxides [M(OR)(CN'N)(dppb)] (M=Ru 11, Os 15). The complexes [MX(CN'N)(P2)] (1-15) (M=Ru, Os; X=Cl, H, OR; P=PPh3 and P2=diphosphane) are efficient catalysts for the TH of carbonyl compounds with 2-propanol in the presence of NaOiPr (2 mol %). Turnover frequency (TOF) values up to 1.8x10(6) h(-1) have been achieved using 0.02-0.001 mol % of catalyst. Much the same activity has been observed for the Ru--Cl, --H, --OR, and the Os--Cl derivatives, whereas the Os--H and Os--OR derivatives display significantly lower activity on account of their high oxygen sensitivity. The chiral Ru complexes 5-8 catalyze the asymmetric TH of methyl-aryl ketones with TOF approximately 10(5) h(-1) at 60 degrees C, up to 97 % enatiomeric excess (ee) and remarkably high productivity (0.005 mol % catalyst loading). High catalytic activity (TOF up to 2.2x10(5) h(-1)) and enantioselectivity (up to 98 % ee) have also been achieved with the in-situ-generated catalysts prepared from [MCl2(PPh3)3], (S,R)-Josiphos or (S,R)-Josiphos*, and the benzo[h]quinoline ligands a-c.  相似文献

The coordination chemistries of the potential tetradentate ligands N,N'-bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)ethylenediamine, H4[L1], the unsaturated analogue glyoxal-bis(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylanil), H2[L2], and N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)-2,2-dimethylpropylenediamine, H4[L3], have been investigated with nickel(II), palladium(II), and copper(II). The complexes prepared and characterized are [Ni(II)(H3L1)2] (1), [Ni(II)(HL2)2].5/8CH2Cl2 (2), [Ni(II)(L3**)] (3), [Pd(II)(L3**)][Pd(II)(H2L3) (4), and [Cu(II)(H2O)(L4)] (5), where (L4)2- is the oxidized diimine form of (L3)4- and (L3**)2- is the bis(o-iminosemiquinonate) diradical form of (L3)4-. The structures of compounds 1-5 have been determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography. In complexes 1 and 2, the ligands (H3L1)- and (HL2)- are tridentate and the nickel ions are in an octahedral ligand environment. The oxidation level of the ligands is that of an aromatic o-aminophenol. 1 and 2 are paramagnetic (mu(eff) approximately 3.2 mu(B) at 300 K), indicating an S = 1 ground state. The diamagnetic, square planar, four-coordinate complexes 3 and [Pd(II)(L3**)] in 4 each contain two antiferromagnetically coupled o-iminobenzosemiquinonate(1-) pi radicals. Diamagnetic [Pd(II)(H2L3)] in 4 forms an eclipsed dimer via four N-H.O hydrogen bonding contacts which yields a nonbonding Pd.Pd contact of 3.0846(4) A. Complex 5 contains a five-coordinate Cu(II) ion and two o-aminophenolate(1-) halves in (L4)2-. The electrochemistries of complexes 3 and 4a ([Pd(II)(L3**)] of 4) have been investigated, and the EPR spectra of the monocations and -anions are reported.  相似文献

Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes of the general type [M(N2O2)] are described. The N2O2 ligands used are [N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-6-methoxybenzylidene)propane-1,3-diamine] (HOMeSalpn) and [N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-6-methoxybenzylidene)propane-1,2-diamine (HOMeSalpr). These complexes have been characterized by IR, UV-vis, CV, TG-DTA and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of these complexes at a glassy carbon electrode in acetonitrile solution indicates that the first reduction process corresponding to Cu(II)-Cu(I) and Ni(II)-Ni(I) is electrochemically irreversible. The new copper complexes have been applied for the preparation of copper nanoparticles using non-ionic surfactant (Triton X-100) by thermal reduction. The copper nanoparticles with average size of 48nm were formed by thermal reduction of [N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-6-methoxybenzylidene)propane-1,3-diamine]copper(II) in the presence of triphenylphosphine thus releasing the reduced copper and affording the high-purity copper nanoparticles.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of the monoanionic borato ligands [Ph2B(CH2SCH3)2] (abbreviated Ph2Bt), [Ph2B(CH2S(t)Bu)2] (Ph2Bt(tBu)), [Ph2B(1-pyrazolyl)(CH2SCH3)], and [Ph2B(1-pyrazolyl)(CH2S(t)Bu)] have been prepared and characterized. While [Ph2Bt] formed the square planar homoleptic complex, [Ph2Bt]2Ni, the larger [S2] ligand with tert-butyl substituents, [Ph2BttBu], yielded an unexpected organometallic derivative, [Ph2Bt(tBu)]Ni(eta2-CH2SBut), resulting from B-C bond rupture. The analogous thiametallacycle derived from the [S3] ligand, [PhB(CH2S(t)Bu)3] (PhTt(tBu)), has been structurally authenticated (Schebler, P. J.; Mandimutsira, B. S.; Riordan, C. G.; Liable-Sands, L.; Incarvito, C. D.; Rheingold, A. L. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2001, 123, 331). The [SN] borato ligands formed exclusively the cis stereoisomers upon reaction with Ni(II) sources, [Ph2B(1-pyrazolyl)(CH2SR)]2Ni. Analysis of the Ni(II/I) reduction potentials by cyclic voltammetry revealed a approximately 600 mV anodic shift upon replacement of two thioether donors ([Ph2Bt]2Ni) with two pyrazolyl donors ([Ph2B(1-pyrazolyl)(CH2SCH3)]2Ni) consistent with the all thioether environment stabilizing the lower oxidation state of nickel.  相似文献

The cyclometalated complexes [Pt(ppy)R(SMe(2))] or [Pt(bhq)R(SMe(2))], where ppyH = 2-phenylpyridine, bhqH = benzo[h]quinoline and R = methyl or p-tolyl, react with bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, dppe, in a 1:1 ratio to give the corresponding complexes [Pt(κ(1)-C-ppy)R(dppe)] or [Pt(κ(1)-C-bhq)R(dppe)], in which the ppy or bhq ligands are monodentate and dppe is chelating. The similar reaction in a 2:1 ratio gives the binuclear complexes [{Pt(ppy)R}(2)(μ-dppe)] or [{Pt(bhq)R}(2)(μ-dppe)], in which the dppe ligands are in the unusual bridging bidentate bonding mode.  相似文献

Sulfur bridging interactions between three cis-planar NiII-S2N2 complexes and NiII, CuI,II, ZnII, and HgII reactants were investigated by synthesis and X-ray crystal structures of some 24 complexes. This work was stimulated by recent crystallographic structures of the A-cluster of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase/acetylcoenzyme A synthase. This bridged biological assembly has the minimal formulation [Fe4S4]-(micro2-SCys)-[M((micro2-SCys)2Gly)Ni] with M = NiII, CuI, and ZnII at sites distal and proximal, respectively, to the iron-sulfur cluster. Bridges supported by representations of the distal nickel site were sought by reactions of the complexes [NiII(LH-S2N2)]2- and [NiII(LR-S2N2)], with 5-5-5 chelate ring patterns. Reaction products implicate the bridges Ni-(micro2-S)1,2-M in a variety of molecular structures, some with previously unknown connectivities of bridge atoms. The most frequently encountered bridge units are the nonplanar rhombs Ni(2-S)2M involving both sulfur atoms of a given complex. Those with M = NiII are biologically relevant inasmuch as the catalytic metal at the proximal site is nickel. The complex [Ni(L-655)]2-, containing the 6-5-5 ring pattern and coordination sphere of the distal nickel site, was prepared and structurally characterized. It was shown to sustain Ni2(micro2-S)2 rhombic interactions in the form of trinuclear [[Ni(L-655)]2Ni]2- and [[Ni(L-655)]Ni(R2PCH2CH2PR2)] (R = Et, Ph) in which the second NiII simulates the proximal site. Bridging interactions of NiII-S2N2 complexes are summarized, and geometrical features of Ni2(2-S)2 rhombs in these complexes, as dependent on ring patterns, are considered (LH-S2N2 = N,N'-ethylenebis(2-mercaptoisobutyramide)(4-); LR-S2N2 = trans-rac-N,N'-bis(2-mercapto-2-methylprop-1-yl)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine(2-); L-655 = N-(2-mercaptopropyl)-N'-(2'-mercaptoethyl)glycinamide(4-)).  相似文献

Reaction of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(MeOH)] (+) (L (1) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-cyclohexylenediamine dianion) with excess pyridine in CH 3CN produces [Ru (III)(L (1))(py) 2] (+) and N 2. The proposed mechanism involves initial equilibrium formation of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(py)] (+), which undergoes rapid N...N coupling to produce [(py)(L (1))Ru (III) N N-Ru (III)(L (1))(py)] (2+); this is followed by pyridine substituion to give the final product. This ligand-induced N...N coupling of Ru (VI)N is utilized in the preparation of a series of new ruthenium(III) salen complexes, [Ru (III)(L)(X) 2] (+/-) (L = salen ligand; X = H 2O, 1-MeIm, py, Me 2SO, PhNH 2, ( t )BuNH 2, Cl (-) or CN (-)). The structures of [Ru (III)(L (1))(NH 2Ph) 2](PF 6) ( 6), K[Ru (III)(L (1))(CN) 2] ( 9), [Ru (III)(L (2))(NCCH 3) 2][Au (I)(CN) 2] ( 11) (L (2) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-phenylenediamine dianion) and [N ( n )Bu 4][Ru (III)(L (3))Cl 2] ( 12) (L (3) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine dianion) have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the bis(bidentate) Schiff-base ligand [(R)-2] formed by the condensation reaction of (R)-1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diamine [(R)-BINAM] with pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde is presented. The coordination chemistry of (R)-2 with Ni(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O, Co(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O, CuCl(2), and CuSO(4) has been investigated. Reaction of (R)-2 with the first two metal salts leads to complexes of the type [M((R)-4)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (M = Ni(II), Co(II)), where (R)-4 is a tridentate ligand resulting from the hydrolytic cleavage of one of the pyridyl groups from (R)-2. Both complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography, which showed that the Lambda absolute configuration of the metal center is favored in both cases. (1)H NMR spectroscopy suggests that the high diastereoselectivity of Lambda-[Co((R)-4)(2)](ClO(4))(2) is maintained in solution. The reaction of (R)-2 with CuCl(2) leads to the dinuclear complex [Cu(2)((R)-2)Cl(4)], which has a [Cu(2)(mu(2)-Cl(2))] core. The reaction of CuSO(4) with (R)-2 gives a dimeric complex, [Cu((R)-4)SO(4)](2), which features a [Cu(2)(mu(2)-(SO(4))(2))] core. This complex can be prepared directly by the reaction of (R)-BINAM with pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde and CuSO(4). The use of rac-BINAM in this synthetic procedure leads to the heterochiral dimer [Cu(2)((R)-4)((S)-4)(SO(4))(2)]; that is, the ligands undergo a self-sorting (self/nonself discrimination) process based on chirality. The reaction of rac-BINAM, pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde, and Co(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O proceeds via a homochiral self-sorting pathway to produce a racemic mixture of [Co((R)-4)(2)](2+) and [Co((S)-4)(2)](2+). The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibilities of the bimetallic complexes [Cu(2)((R)-2)Cl(4)], [Cu((R)-4)(mu(2)-SO(4))](2), and [Cu(2)((R)-4)((S)-4)(mu(2)-SO(4))(2)] all show weak antiferromagnetic coupling with J = -1.0, -0.40, and -0.67 cm(-)(1), respectively.  相似文献

The nitrile ligands in trans-[PtX2(PhCN)2] (X = Cl, Br, I) undergo sequential 1,3 dipolar cycloadditions with nitrones R1R2C=N+(Me)-O(-) (R1 = H, R2 = Ph; R1 = CO2Et, R2 = CH2CO2Et) to selectively form the Delta4-1,2,4-oxadiazoline complexes trans-[PtX2(PhCN) (N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CR1R2)] or trans-[PtX2(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CR1R2)2] in high yields. The reactivity of the mixed ligand complexes trans-[PtX2(PhCN)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CR1R2)] towards oxidation and ligand substitution was studied in more detail. Oxidation with Cl2 or Br2 provides the Pt(IV) species trans-[PtX2Y2(PhCN)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CH(Ph))] (X, Y = Cl, Br). The mixed halide complex (X = Cl, Y = Br) undergoes halide scrambling in solution to form trans-[PtX(4-n)Yn(PhCN)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CH(Ph))] as a statistical mixture. Ligand substitution in trans-[PtCl2(PhCN)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CR1R2)] allows for selective replacement of the coordinated nitrile by nitrogen heterocycles such as pyridine, DMAP or 1-benzyl-2-methylimidazole to produce mixed ligand Pt(II) complexes of the type trans- [PtX2(heterocycle)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CR1R2)]. All compounds were characterised by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, IR and 1H, 13C and 195Pt NMR spectroscopy. Single-crystal X-ray structural analysis of (R,S)-trans-[PtBr2(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CH(Ph))2] and trans-[PtCl2(C5H5N)(N=C(Ph)-O-N(Me)-CH(Ph))] confirms the molecular structure and the trans configuration of the heterocycles relative to each other.  相似文献

Two hexanuclear 3d-4f Ni-Eu and Cu-Eu complexes [Eu(4)Ni(2)L(2)(OAc)(12)(EtOH)(2)] (1) and [Eu(4)Cu(2)L(2)(OAc)(12)]·2H(2)O (2) are reported which are formed from the salen type Schiff-base ligand H(2)L (H(2)L = N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)butane-1,4-diamine). In both complexes, four Eu(3+) cations are bridged by eight OAc(-) groups and the chain is terminated at each end by two ML (M = Ni and Cu) units. The structures of 1 and 2 were determined by single crystal X-ray crystallographic studies and the luminescence properties of the free ligand and metal complexes in solution were measured.  相似文献

Treatment of U(acac)4 with the hexadentate Schiff base H2L(i) gave the [UL(i)2] complexes 1-4 [H2L1=N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-2-methyl-1,2-propanediamine, H2L2=N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine, H2L3=N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-2-aminobenzylamine and H2L4=N,N'-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine for 1-4, respectively]. The [U(L(i))(acac)2] compounds could not be isolated because of their ready disproportionation into [UL(i)2] and U(acac)4. Compounds 2 and 4 adopt a meridional configuration in the solid state and in solution, while exists in solution as the two equilibrating meridional and sandwich isomers and crystallizes in the meridional isomeric form. Reaction of U(acac)4 with H4L5 afforded the expected compound [U(H2L5)(acac)2] (5) [H4L5=N,N'-bis(3-hydroxysalicylidene)-2-methyl-1,2-propanediamine] but, in the presence of H4L6 and H4L7, U(acac)4 was transformed in a serendipitous and reproducible manner into the tri- and tetranuclear U(IV) complexes [U3(L6)(HL6)2(acac)2] (6) and [U4(HL7)4(H2L7)2] (7) [H4L6=N,N'-bis(3-hydroxysalicylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine and H4L7=N,N'-bis(3-hydroxysalicylidene)-2-aminobenzylamine]. The crystal structures of 6.3thf and 7.5thf show the assembling role of the Schiff-base ligands.  相似文献

The tetra- and binuclear heterometallic complexes of nickel(II)-vanadium(IV/V) combinations involving a phenol-based primary ligand, viz., N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylbenzyl)ethylenediamine (H2L1), are reported in this work. Carboxylates and beta-diketonates have been used as ancillary ligands to obtain the tetranuclear complexes [Ni(II)(2)V(V)(2)(RCOO)(2)(L(1))(2)O(4)] (R = Ph, 1; R = Me(3)C, 2) and the binuclear types [(beta-diket)Ni(II)L(1)V(IV)O(beta-diket)] (3 and 4), respectively. X-ray crystallography shows that the tetranuclear complexes are constructed about an unprecedented heterometallic eight-membered Ni(2)V(2)O(4) core in which the (L(1))(2)- ligands are bound to the Ni center in a N(2)O(2) mode and simultaneously bridge a V atom via the phenoxide O atoms. The cis-N(2)O(4) coordination geometry for Ni is completed by an O atom derived from the bridging carboxylate ligand and an oxo O atom. The latter two atoms, along with a terminal oxide group, complete the O5 square-pyramidal coordination geometry for V. Each of the dinuclear compounds, [(acac)Ni(II)L(1)V(IV)O(acac)] (3) and [(dbm)Ni(II)L(1)V(IV)O(dbm)] (4) [Hdbm = dibenzoylmethane], also features a tetradentate (L(1))(2)- ligand, Ni in an octahedral cis-N(2)O(4) coordination geometry, and V in an O(5) square-pyramidal geometry. In 3 and 4, the bridges between the Ni and V atoms are provided by the (L(1))(2)- ligand. The Ni...V separations in the structures lie in the narrow range of 2.9222(4) A (3) to 2.9637(5) A (4). The paramagnetic Ni centers (S = 1) in 1 and 2 are widely separated (Ni...Ni separations are 5.423 and 5.403 A) by the double V(V)O(4) bridge that leads to weak antiferromagnetic interactions (J = -3.6 and -3.9 cm-1) and thus an ST = 0 ground state for these systems. In 3 and 4, the interactions between paramagnetic centers (Ni(II) and V(IV)) are also antiferromagnetic (J = -8.9 and -10.0 cm-1), leading to an S(T) = 1/2 ground state. Compound 4 undergoes two one-electron redox processes at E(1/2) = +0.66 and -1.34 V vs Ag/AgCl reference due to a V(IV/V) oxidation and a Ni(II)/I reduction, respectively, as indicated by cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry.  相似文献

Four new supramolecular compounds of Cu(II)-Ni(II) have been synthesized and characterized: [Cu(Me(2)oxpn)Ni(mu-NCS)(H(2)O)(tmen)](2)(ClO(4))(2) (1), [Cu(Me(2)oxpn)Ni(mu-NCS)(H(2)O)(tmen)](2)(PF(6))(2) (2), [Cu(oxpn)Ni(mu-NCS)(NCS) (tmen)](n) (3), and [Cu(Me(2)oxpn)Ni(mu-NCS)(NCS)(tmen)](n) (4), where oxpn = N,N'-bis(3-aminopropyl)oxamidate, Me(2)oxpn = N,N'-bis(3-amino-2,2'-dimethylpropyl)oxamidate, and tmen = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine. Their crystal structures were solved. Complexes 1 and 2 have the same tetranuclear cationic part but a different counteranion. The cationic part consists of two [Cu(Me(2)oxpn)Ni] moieties linked by SCN(-) bridged ligands and intra-tetranuclear hydrogen bonds. In the case of complex 3, a two-dimensional system was built, the thiocyanate ligand linking the dinuclear units gives a chain, and the chains are linked together by hydrogen bonds; intrachain hydrogen bonds are also present. For complex 4, the thiocyanate ligands produce intermolecular linkages between the dinuclear entities, giving a one-dimensional system; intrachain hydrogen bonds are also present. The magnetic properties of the four complexes were studied by susceptibility measurements vs temperature. Treatment of 2-(methylsulfinyl)benzaldehyde (1) with ethylenediamine or (1R,2R)-(-)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane afforded N,N'-bis[2-(methylsulfinyl)benzylidene]ethylenediamine (L(1)) or (1R,2R)-N,N'-bis[2-(methylsulfinyl)benzylidene]-1,2-cyclohexanedia mine (L(2)), respectively. Lithiation of 2-bromobenzaldehyde diethylacetal with n-BuLi/TMEDA followed by reaction with (1R,2S,5R)-(-)-menthyl-(S)-p-toluenesulfinate afforded 2-(S)-(p-tolylsulfinyl)benzaldehyde diethyl acetal (2). Deprotection of 2 with pyridinium tosylate followed by condensation with ethylenediamine, (1R,2R)-(-)-diaminocyclohexane, or (S,S)-(+)-diaminocyclohexane afforded N,N'-bis[2-(S)-(p-tolylsulfinyl)benzylidene]ethylenediamine (L(3)), (1R,2R)-N,N'-bis[2-(S)-(p-tolylsulfinyl)benzylidene]-1,2-cyclohexanediamine ((R,R)-L(4)), or (S,S)-N,N'-bis[2-(S)-(p-tolylsulfinyl)benzylidene]-1,2-cyclohexanediamine ((S,S)-L(4)), respectively. Treatment of [Ru(PPh(3))(3)Cl(2)] with L afforded trans-[Ru(L)Cl(2)] [L = L(1) (3), L(2) (4), L(3) (5), (R,R)-L(4) ((R,R)-6), (S,S)-L(4) ((S,S)-6)]. The X-ray structures of (S(S),R(S))-4, (R,R)-6, and (S,S)-6 have been determined. The average Ru-N, Ru-S, and Ru-Cl distances in (S(S),R(S))-4 are 2.063, 2.2301, and 2.4039 A, respectively. The corresponding distances in (R,R)-6 are 2.071, 2.256, and 2.411 A, and those in (S,S)-6, 2.058, 2.2275, and 2.3831 A. Compound 3 exhibited a reversible Ru(III/II) couple at 0.56 V vs Cp(2)Fe(+/0) in CH(2)Cl(2). Treatment of 3 with AgNO(3) in water afforded the aqua compound trans-[Ru(L(1))Cl(H(2)O)][PF(6)] (7), which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. The Ru-Cl, Ru-O, average Ru-N, and average Ru-S distances in 7 are 2.3733(6), 2.1469(16), 2.071, and 2.2442 A, respectively. Treatment of 3 with AgNO(3) followed by reaction with PPh(3) afforded [Ru(L(1))(PPh(3))(2)][PF(6)](2) (8). Treatment of [Os(PPh(3))(3)Cl(2)] with L(1) resulted in deoxygenation of one sulfoxide group of L(1) and formation of [Os(L(5))Cl(2)(PPh(3))] (9) (L(5) = N-[2-(methylsulfinyl)benzylidene]-N'-[2-(methylthio)benzylididene]ethylenediamine), which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. The average Os-S(O), Os-N(trans to P), Os-N(trans to S), Os-P, and Os-Cl distances are 2.1931, 2.085, 2.175, 2.3641, and 2.4266 A, respectively.  相似文献

Vanadium(III) and vanadium(V) complexes derived from the tris(2-thiolatoethyl)amine ligand [(NS3)3-] and the bis(2-thiolatoethyl)ether ligand [(OS2)2-] have been synthesized with the aim of investigating the potential of these vanadium sites to bind dinitrogen and activate its reduction. Evidence is presented for the transient existence of (V(NS3)(N2)V(NS3), and a series of mononuclear complexes containing hydrazine, hydrazide, imide, ammine, organic cyanide, and isocyanide ligands has been prepared and the chemistry of these complexes investigated. [V(NS3)O] (1) reacts with an excess of N2H4 to give, probably via the intermediates (V(NS3)(NNH2) (2a) and (V(NS3)(N2)V(NS3) (3), the V(III) adduct [V(NS3)(N2H4)] (4). If 1 is treated with 0.5 mol of N2H4, 0.5 mol of N2 is evolved and green, insoluble [(V(NS3))n] (5) results. Compound 4 is converted by disproportionation to [V(NS3)(NH3)] (6), but 4 does not act as a catalyst for disproportionation of N2H4 nor does it act as a catalyst for its reduction by Zn/HOC6H3Pri2-2,6. Compound 1 reacts with NR1(2)NR2(2) (R1 = H or SiMe3; R2(2) = Me2, MePh, or HPh) to give the hydrazide complexes [V(NS3)(NNR2(2)] (R2(2) = Me2, 2b; R2(2) = MePh, 2c; R2(2) = HPh, 2d), which are not protonated by anhydrous HBr nor are they reduced by Zn/HOC6H3Pri2-2,6. Compound 2b can also be prepared by reaction of [V(NNMe2)(dipp)3] (dipp = OC6H3Pri2-2,6) with NS3H3. N2H4 is displaced quantitatively from 4 by anions to give the salts [NR3(4)][V(NS3)X] (X = Cl, R3 = Et, 7a; X = Cl, R3 = Ph, 7b; X = Br, R3 = Et, 7c; X = N3, R3 = Bu(n), 7d; X = N3, R3 = Et, 7e; X = CN, R3 = Et, 7f). Compound 6 loses NH3 thermally to give 5, which can also be prepared from [VCl3(THF)3] and NS3H3/LiBun. Displacement of NH3 from 6 by ligands L gives the adducts [V(NS3)(L)] (L = MeCN, nu CN 2264 cm-1, 8a; L = ButNC, nu NC 2173 cm-1, 8b; L = C6H11NC, nu NC 2173 cm-1, 8c). Reaction of 4 with N3SiMe3 gives [V(NS3)(NSiMe3)] (9), which is converted to [V(NS3)(NH)] (10) by hydrolysis and to [V(NS3)(NCPh3)] (11) by reaction with ClCPh3. Compound 10 is converted into 1 by [NMe4]OH and to [V(NS3)NLi(THF)2] (12) by LiNPri in THF. A further range of imido complexes [V(NS3)(NR4)] (R4 = C6H4Y-4 where Y = H (13a), OMe (13b), Me (13c), Cl (13d), Br (13e), NO2 (13f); R4 = C6H4Y-3, where Y = OMe (13g); Cl (13h); R4 = C6H3Y2-3,4, where Y = Me (13i); Cl (13j); R4 = C6H11 (13k)) has been prepared by reaction of 1 with R4NCO. The precursor complex [V(OS2)O(dipp)] (14) [OS2(2-) = O(CH2CH2S)2(2-)] has been prepared from [VO(OPri)3], Hdipp, and OS2H2. It reacts with NH2NMe2 to give [V(OS2)(NNMe2)(dipp)] (15) and with N3SiMe3 to give [V(OS2)(NSiMe3)(dipp)] (16). A second oxide precursor, formulated as [V(OS2)1.5O] (17), has also been obtained, and it reacts with SiMe3NHNMe2 to give [V(OS2)(NNMe2)(OSiMe3)] (18). The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes 2b, 2c, 4, 6, 7a, 8a, 9, 10, 13d, 14, 15, 16, and 18 have been determined, and the 51V NMR and other spectroscopic parameters of the complexes are discussed in terms of electronic effects.  相似文献

The electron-donating properties of N-heterocyclic carbenes ([N,N'-bis(2,6-dimethylphenyl)imidazol]-2-ylidene and the respective dihydro ligands) with 4,4'-R-substituted aryl rings (4,4'-R=NEt2, OC(12)H(25), Me, H, Br, S(4-tolyl), SO(4-tolyl), SO2(4-tolyl)) were studied. Twelve new N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands were synthesized as well as the respective iridium complexes [IrCl(cod)(NHC)] and [IrCl(CO)2(NHC)]. Cyclic voltammetry (DeltaE1/2) and IR (nu (CO)) can be used to measure the electron-donating properties of the carbene ligands. Modifying the 4-positions with electron-withdrawing substituents (4-R=-SO(2)Ar, DeltaE1/2=+0.92 V) results in NHC ligands with virtually the same electron-donating capacity as a trialkylphosphine in [IrCl(cod)(PCy3)] (DeltaE1/2 =+0.95 V), while [IrCl(cod)(NHC)] complexes with 4-R=NEt2 (DeltaE1/2= +0.59 V) show drastically more cathodic redox potentials and significantly enhanced donating properties.  相似文献
