Moment inequalities and weak convergence for negatively associated sequences   总被引:19,自引:0,他引:19  
A probability inequality for Sn and somepth moment (p⩾2) inequalities for |Sn| and max 1⩽k⩽n | Sk| are established. Here Sn is the partial sum of a negatively associated sequence. Based on these inequalities, a weak invariance principle for strictly stationary negatively associated sequences is proved under some general conditions. We show that for positive operator B : E → E on Banach lattices, if there exists a positive operator S : E → E such that:1.SB ≤ BS;2.S is quasinilpotent at some x0 > 0; 3.S dominates a non-zero b-AM-compact operator, then B has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace. Also, we prove that for two commuting non-zero positive operators on Banach lattices, if one of them is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector and the other dominates a non-zero b-AM-compact operator, then both of them have a common non-trivial closed invariant ideal. Then we introduce the class of b-AM-compact-friendly operators and show that a non-zero positive b-AM- compact-friendly operator which is quasinilpotent at some x0 > 0 has a non-trivial closed invariant ideal.  相似文献

For an arbitrary subnormal operator we estimate the essential norm and trace of commutators of the form [T u, S], whereT u is a Toeplitz operator with continuous symbol. In particular, we obtain criteria for the compactness of [S *,S]. The trace estimates apply to multiplication operators on Hardy spaces over general domains.  相似文献

This paper considers the isometric extension problem concerning the mapping from the unit sphere S 1(E) of the normed space E into the unit sphere S 1(l (Γ)). We find a condition under which an isometry from S 1(E) into S 1(l (Γ)) can be linearly and isometrically extended to the whole space. Since l (Γ) is universal with respect to isometry for normed spaces, isometric extension problems on a class of normed spaces are solved. More precisely, if E and F are two normed spaces, and if V 0: S 1(E) → S 1(F) is a surjective isometry, where c 00(Γ) ⊆ Fl (Γ), then V 0 can be extended to be an isometric operator defined on the whole space. A quantum model of a real scalar field with local operator gauge symmetry is discussed. In the localized theory, in order to keep the local operator gauge symmetry, an operator gauge potential BB μ, is needed. By combining the constraint of operator gauge potentialB μ, and the microscopic causality theorem, the usual canonical quantization condition of a real scalar field is obtained. Therefore, a quantum model of a real scalar field without the usual procedure of quantizing a related classical model can be directly constructed. Project supported in part by T.D. In this paper we investigate some algebra properties of dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space in the Sobolev space. We completely characterize commuting dual Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols, and show that a dual Toeplitz operator commutes with a nonconstant analytic dual Toeplitz operator if and only if its symbol is analytic. We also obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions on the harmonic symbols for SφSφψ= Sφψ.  相似文献

Fusion frames have become a major tool in the implementation of distributed systems. The effectiveness of fusion frame applications in distributed systems is reflected in the efficiency of the end fusion process. This in turn is reflected in the efficiency of the inversion of the fusion frame operator SWS_{\mathcal{W}}, which in turn is heavily dependent on the sparsity of SWS_{\mathcal{W}}. We will show that sparsity of the fusion frame operator naturally exists by introducing a notion of non-orthogonal fusion frames. We show that for a fusion frame {W i ,v i } iI , if dim(W i )=k i , then the matrix of the non-orthogonal fusion frame operator SW{\mathcal{S}}_{{\mathcal{W}}} has in its corresponding location at most a k i ×k i block matrix. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for which the new fusion frame operator SW{\mathcal{S}}_{{\mathcal{W}}} is diagonal and/or a multiple of an identity. A set of other critical questions are also addressed. A scheme of multiple fusion frames whose corresponding fusion frame operator becomes an diagonal operator is also examined.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and S be a finite simple group. In this paper, we prove that if G and S have the same sets of all orders of solvable subgroups, then G is isomorphic to S, or G and S are isomorphic to Bn(q), Cn(q), where n≥3 and q is odd. This gives a positive answer to the problem put forward by Abe and Iiyori.  相似文献

In 1993, Y. A. Abramovich, C. D. Aliprantis and O. Burkinshaw showed that every continuous operator with modulus on an lp-space (1 ≤ p < ∞) whose modulus commutes with a non-zero positive operator T on lp that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x0 has a non-trivial invariant closed subspace. In this paper, it is proved that if is a collection of continuous operators with moduli on lp that is finitely modulus-quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 then and its right modulus sub-commutant have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace. In particular, all continuous operators with moduli on l p whose moduli commute with a non-zero positive operator I on l p that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace, so that all positive operators on l p which commute with a non-zero positive operator S on l p that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace. A condition number of an ordered basis of a finite-dimensional normed space is defined in an intrinsic manner. This concept is extended to a sequence of bases of finite-dimensional normed spaces, and is used to determine uniform conditioning of such a sequence. We address the problem of finding a sequence of uniformly conditioned bases of spectral subspaces of operators of the form T n  = S n  + U n , where S n is a finite-rank operator on a Banach space and U n is an operator which satisfies an invariance condition with respect to S n . This problem is reduced to constructing a sequence of uniformly conditioned bases of spectral subspaces of operators on ? n×1. The applicability of these considerations in practical as well as theoretical aspects of spectral approximation is pointed out.  相似文献

We construct several examples of Hilbertian operator spaces with few completely bounded maps. In particular, we give an example of a separable 1-Hilbertian operator space X0 such that, whenever X is an infinite dimensional quotient of X0, X is a subspace of X, and is a completely bounded map, then T=IX+S, where S is compact Hilbert-Schmidt and ||S||2/16||S||cb||S||2. Moreover, every infinite dimensional quotient of a subspace of X0 fails the operator approximation property. We also show that every Banach space can be equipped with an operator space structure without the operator approximation property. In this paper, we introduce an operator Hμ(z) on L^∞(△) and obtain some of its properties. Some applications of this operator to the extremal problem of quasiconformal mappings are given.
