Suppose R is an idempotence-diagonalizable ring. Let n and m be two arbitrary positive integers with n ≥ 3. We denote by Mn(R) the ring of all n x n matrices over R. Let (Jn(R)) be the additive subgroup of Mn(R) generated additively by all idempotent matrices. Let JJ = (Jn(R)) or Mn(R). We describe the additive preservers of idempotence from JJ to Mm(R) when 2 is a unit of R. Thereby, we also characterize the Jordan (respectively, ring and ring anti-) homomorphisms from Mn (R) to Mm (R) when 2 is a unit of R.  相似文献

Canonical bases of the tensor powers of the natural -module V are constructed by adapting the work of Frenkel, Khovanov and Kirrilov to the quantum supergroup setting. This result is generalized in several directions. We first construct the canonical bases of the ℤ2-graded symmetric algebra of V and tensor powers of this superalgebra; then construct canonical bases for the superalgebra O q (M m|n ) of a quantum (m,n) × (m,n)-supermatrix; and finally deduce from the latter result the canonical basis of every irreducible tensor module for by applying a quantum analogue of the Borel-Weil construction. Let M be a left R-module. In this paper a generalization of the notion of m-system set of rings to modules is given. Then for a submodule N of M, we define := { m ε M: every m-system containing m meets N}. It is shown that is the intersection of all prime submodules of M containing N. We define rad R (M) = . This is called Baer-McCoy radical or prime radical of M. It is shown that if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R, then M/rad R (M) is a Noetherian R-module. Also, if M is a Noetherian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R such that every prime submodule of M is virtually maximal, then M/rad R (M) is an Artinian R-module. This yields if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring R, then either rad R (M) = M or rad R (M) = ∩ i=1 n for some maximal ideals of R. Also, Baer’s lower nilradical of M [denoted by Nil* ( R M)] is defined to be the set of all strongly nilpotent elements of M. It is shown that, for any projective R-module M, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) and, for any module M over a left Artinian ring R, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) = Rad(M) = Jac(R)M. This paper concerns the maximum value and the set of maximum points of a random version of Takagi’s continuous, nowhere differentiable function. Let F(x):=∑ n=1 ε n ϕ(2 n−1 x), xR, where ɛ 1, ɛ 2, ... are independent, identically distributed random variables taking values in {−1, 1}, and ϕ is the “tent map” defined by ϕ(x) = 2 dist (x, Z). Let p:= P (ɛ 1 = 1), M:= max {F(x): xR}, and := {x ∈ [0, 1): F(x) = M}. An explicit expression for M is given in terms of the sequence {ɛ n }, and it is shown that the probability distribution μ of M is purely atomic if p < , and is singular continuous if p ≧ . In the latter case, the Hausdorff dimension and the multifractal spectrum of μ are determined. It is shown further that the set is finite almost surely if p < , and is topologically equivalent to a Cantor set almost surely if p ≧ . The distribution of the cardinality of is determined in the first case, and the almost-sure Hausdorff dimension of is shown to be (2p − 1)/2p in the second case. The distribution of the leftmost point of is also given. Finally, some of the results are extended to the more general functions Σa n − 1 ɛ n ϕ(2 n − 1 x), where 0 < a < 1.   相似文献

In this paper, using the matrix skills and operator theory techniques we characterize the commutant of analytic Toeplitz operators on Bergman space. For f(z) = z^ng(z) (n ≥1), g(z) = b0 + b1z^p1 +b2z^p2 +.. , bk ≠ 0 (k = 0, 1, 2,...), our main result is =A′(Mf) = A′(Mzn)∩A′(Mg) = A′(Mz^s), where s = g.c.d.(n,p1,p2,...). In the last section, we study the relation between strongly irreducible curve and the winding number W(f,f(α)), α ∈ D.  相似文献

In this paper,we explore some weakly consistent properties of quasi-maximum likelihood estimates(QMLE) concerning the quasi-likelihood equation in=1 Xi(yi-μ(Xiβ)) = 0 for univariate generalized linear model E(y |X) = μ(X'β).Given uncorrelated residuals {ei = Yi-μ(Xiβ0),1 i n} and other conditions,we prove that βn-β0 = Op(λn-1/2) holds, where βn is a root of the above equation,β0 is the true value of parameter β and λn denotes the smallest eigenvalue of the matrix Sn = ni=1 XiXi.We also show that the convergence rate above is sharp, provided independent non-asymptotically degenerate residual sequence and other conditions. Moreover, paralleling to the elegant result of Drygas(1976) for classical linear regression models,we point out that the necessary condition guaranteeing the weak consistency of QMLE is Sn-1→ 0,as the sample size n →∞.  相似文献

Given the hyperbolic measure dxdy/y 2 on the upper half plane ℍ, the rational actions of PSL2(ℝ) on ℍ induces a continuous unitary representation α of this group on the Hilbert space L 2(ℍ, dxdy/y 2). Supposing that = {M f : fL (ℍ, dxdy/y 2)}, we show that the crossed product is of type I. In fact, the crossed product is *-isomorphic to the von Neumann algebra , where is the abelian group von Neumann algebra generated by the left regular representation of K. By employing the generalized Riccati transformation technique, we will establish some new oscillation criteria and study the asymptotic behavior of the nonoscillatory solutions of the second-order nonlinear neutral delay dynamic equation
, on a time scale . The results improve some oscillation results for neutral delay dynamic equations and in the special case when = ℝ our results cover and improve the oscillation results for second-order neutral delay differential equations established by Li and Liu [Canad. J. Math., 48 (1996), 871–886]. When = ℕ, our results cover and improve the oscillation results for second order neutral delay difference equations established by Li and Yeh [Comp. Math. Appl., 36 (1998), 123–132]. When =hℕ, = {t: t = q k , k ∈ ℕ, q > 1}, = ℕ2 = {t 2: t ∈ ℕ}, = = {t n = Σ k=1 n , n ∈ ℕ0}, ={t 2: t ∈ ℕ}, = {√n: n ∈ ℕ0} and ={: n ∈ ℕ0} our results are essentially new. Some examples illustrating our main results are given.   相似文献

Let T = U|T| be the polar decomposition of a bounded linear operator T on a Hilbert space. The transformation T = |T|^1/2 U|T|^1/2 is called the Aluthge transformation and Tn means the n-th Aluthge transformation. Similarly, the transformation T(*)=|T*|^1/2 U|T*|&1/2 is called the *-Aluthge transformation and Tn^(*) means the n-th *-Aluthge transformation. In this paper, firstly, we show that T(*) = UV|T^(*)| is the polar decomposition of T(*), where |T|^1/2 |T^*|^1/2 = V||T|^1/2 |T^*|^1/2| is the polar decomposition. Secondly, we show that T(*) = U|T^(*)| if and only if T is binormal, i.e., [|T|, |T^*|]=0, where [A, B] = AB - BA for any operator A and B. Lastly, we show that Tn^(*) is binormal for all non-negative integer n if and only if T is centered, and so on.  相似文献

In this paper, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and Lipschitz function b ε (ℝn) is discussed from L p(ℝn) to L q(ℝn), , and from L p(ℝn) to Triebel-Lizorkin space . We also obtain the boundedness of generalized Toeplitz operator Θ α0 b from L p(ℝn) to L q(ℝn), . All the above results include the corresponding boundedness of commutators. Moreover, the boundedness of Toeplitz operator T b(f) related to strongly singular Calderón-Zygmund operators and BMO function b is discussed on L p(ℝn), 1 < p < ∞.  相似文献

Let 0 → IAA/I → 0 be a short exact sequence of C*-algebras with A unital. Suppose that the extension 0 → IAA/I → 0 is quasidiagonal, then it is shown that any positive element (projection, partial isometry, unitary element, respectively) in A/I has a lifting with the same form which commutes with some quasicentral approximate unit of I consisting of projections. Furthermore, it is shown that for any given positive number ε, two positive elements (projections, partial isometries, unitary elements, respectively) in A/I, and a positive element (projection, partial isometry, unitary element, respectively) a which is a lifting of , there is a positive element (projection, partial isometry, unitary element, respectively) b in A which is a lifting of such that ∥ab∥ < . As an application, it is shown that for any positive numbers ε and in U(A/I) 0 , there exists u in U(A)0 which is a lifting of such that cel(u) < cel. Let (F ) × α ℤ be the crossed product von Neumann algebra of the free group factor (F ), associated with the left regular representation λ of the free group F with the set {u r : r ∈ ℚ} of generators, by an automorphism α defined by α(λ(u r )) = exp(2πri)λ(u r ), where ℚ is the rational number set. We show that (F ) × α ℤ is a wΓ factor, and for each r ∈ ℚ, the von Neumann subalgebra generated in (F ) × α ℚ by λ(u r ) and υ is maximal injective, where υ is the unitary implementing the automorphism α. In particular, (F ) × α ℣ is a wΓ factor with a maximal abelian selfadjoint subalgebra which cannot be contained in any hyperfinite type II1 subfactor of (F ) × α ℚ. This gives a counterexample of Kadison’s problem in the case of wΓ factor. Let be a Banach algebra and let X be a Banach -bimodule. In studying (,X) it is often useful to extend a given derivation D: → X to a Banach algebra containing as an ideal, thereby exploiting (or establishing) hereditary properties. This is usually done using (bounded/unbounded) approximate identities to obtain the extension as a limit of operators bD(ba) − b.D(a), a ε in an appropriate operator topology, the main point in the proof being to show that the limit map is in fact a derivation. In this paper we make clear which part of this approach is analytic and which algebraic by presenting an algebraic scheme that gives derivations in all situations at the cost of enlarging the module. We use our construction to give improvements and shorter proofs of some results from the literature and to give a necessary and sufficient condition that biprojectivity and biflatness is inherited to ideals.  相似文献

In this article we investigate the equivalence of underdetermined differential equations and differential equations with deviations of second order with respect to the pseudogroup of transformations = φ(x), ȳ = ȳ() = L(x) + y(x), = () = M(x) + z(x). Our main aim is to determine such equations that admit a large pseudogroup of symmetries. Instead the common direct calculations, we use some more advanced tools from differential geometry, however, our exposition is self-contained and only the most fundamental properties of differential forms are employed. We study amenability of algebras and modules (based on the notion of almost-invariant finite-dimensional subspace), and apply it to algebras associated with finitely generated groups. We show that a group G is amenable if and only if its group ring G is amenable for some (and therefore for any) field . Similarly, a G-set X is amenable if and only if its span X is amenable as a G-module for some (and therefore for any) field .  相似文献
