Anomalous dimension matrices of operators based on the twist-3 operator ψγ5ψ (or ψψ)are calculated and diagonalized. We find that for these operators the diagonal operators are not conformal operators. The higher twist effects of the pionic asymptotic B-S wave function and form factor are also investi- gated.  相似文献

The improved light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of the \(\Lambda \) baryon are examined on the basis of the QCD conformal partial wave expansion approach. The calculations are carried out to the next-to-leading order of conformal spin accuracy with consideration of twist \(6\) . The next leading order conformal expansion coefficients are related to the nonperturbative parameters defined by the local three-quark operator matrix elements with different Lorentz structures with a covariant derivative. The nonperturbative parameters are determined with the QCD sum rule method. The explicit expressions of the LCDAs are provided as the main results.  相似文献

We derive the four point correlation function involving four twist fields for arbitrary even dimensional ZN×ZM orbifold compactifications. Using techniques from the conformal field theory the three point correlation functions with twist fields are determined. Both the choice of the modular background (compatible with the twists) and of the (higher) twisted sectors involved are fully general. Our results turn out to be target space duality invariant.  相似文献

Parafermion conformal field theories with D2N discrete symmetry are examined in detail. The structure of field space of parafermion field theories is studied with the help of a projection operator G. Characters of the representations of the twist sector of parafermion algebra and projected characters are given. A new class of modular invariant partition functions, therefore conformal field theories, for parafermion theories are found. We argue that the principal theories correspond to the generic critical SOS models of Andrew, Baxter and Forrest.  相似文献

We consider a conformal invariant formulation of quantum electrodynamics. Conformal invariance is achieved with a specific mathematical construction based on the indecomposable representations of the conformal group associated with the electromagnetic potential and current. As a corollary of this construction modified expressions for the 3-point Green functions are obtained which both contain transverse parts. They make it possible to formulate a conformal invariant skeleton perturbation theory. It is also shown that the Euclidean Maxwell equations in conformal electrodynamics are manifestations of its kinematical structure: in the case of the 3-point Green functions these equations follow (up to constants) from the conformal invariance while in the case of higher Green functions they are equivalent to the equality of the kernels of the partial wave expansions. This is the manifestation of the mathematical fact of a (partial) equivalence of the representations associated with the potential, current and the field tensor.  相似文献

Using the MS scheme, we derive in [? 3]6 theory the collinear conformal Ward identity for the Green's functions of local light-cone operators of leading twist. The Ward identity for special collinear conformal transformations and renormalization group invariance give constraints for the off-diagonal part of the anomalous dimension matrix for the general case of β#0. We compute the anomaly of special conformal transformation in lowest loop order and obtain from the constraints the off-diagonal part of the anomalous dimension in 2-loop order.  相似文献

The exponential blueshift associated with the event horizon of a black hole makes conformal symmetry play a fundamental role in accounting for its thermal properties. Using a derivation based on two-point functions, we show that the full spectrum of thermal radiation of scalar particles by Kerr black holes can be explicitly derived on the basis of a conformal symmetry arising in the wave equation near the horizon. The simplicity of our approach emphasizes the depth of the connection between conformal symmetry and black hole radiance.  相似文献

In massless QCD the operators which diagonalize the anomalous dimension matrix to first order in αs form representations of the conformal group. This is proved by using anomalous Ward identities. Only a subgroup, the so-called collinear conformal group SU(1, 1) ? SO(2, 1), acts on the restricted class of operators of lowest twist. Towers of local operators bilinear and trilinear in the quark fields are constructed. They are considered as polynomials in the derivatives acting on the basic quark fields: bilinear operators are given by Jacobi polynomials, trilinear operators by Appell's polynomials.By using the explicit form of the anomalous dimension matrix we verify that the constructed bilinear collinear conformal operators are in fact eigenvectors. As the conformal trilinear operator basis is degenerate, the eigenvectors of the mixing matrix of trilinear operators are not determined by conformal covariance alone. However, by taking a conformal basis the number of independent operators is reduced considerably.  相似文献

We consider light cone sum rules for a vertex function involving a pion state. These incorporate radiative corrections, continuum effects and power corrections; the latter depend on the non-asymptotic form of a higher twist component of the pion wave function. We derive restrictions on this component from sum rules for two-point functions and propose a model wave function for it. Finally we analyse our vertex sum rules in the light of this information and find results for the lowest twist component in good agreement with those already obtained from two-point function sum rules with derivative currents.  相似文献

It is shown that if ann dimensional Riemannian or pseudo-Riemannian manifold admits a proper conformal scalar, every (local) conformal group is conformally isometric, and that if it admits a proper conformal gradient every (local) conformal group is conformally homothetic. In the Riemannian case there is always a conformal scalar unless the metric is conformally Euclidean. In the case of a Lorentzian 4-manifold it is proved that the only metrics with no conformal scalars (and hence the only ones admitting a (local) conformal group not conformally isometric) are either conformal to the plane wave metric with parallel rays or conformally Minkowskian.  相似文献

We develop a percolation model for nodal domains in the eigenvectors of quantum chaotic torus maps. Our model follows directly from the assumption that the quantum maps are described by random matrix theory. Its accuracy in predicting statistical properties of the nodal domains is demonstrated for perturbed cat maps and supports the use of percolation theory to describe the wave functions of general Hamiltonian systems. We also demonstrate that the nodal domains of the perturbed cat maps obey the Cardy crossing formula and find evidence that the boundaries of the nodal domains are described by stochastic Loewner evolution with diffusion constant close to the expected value of 6, suggesting that quantum chaotic wave functions may exhibit conformal invariance in the semiclassical limit.  相似文献

Quantum cosmology and the quantum wormhole witha conformal complex scalar field are discussed, thecorresponding Wheeler-DeWitt equations are obtained, andthe cosmological wave functions and wormhole wave functions are calculated, respectively,with different boundary conditions. From thecosmological wave function it is found that theprobability density of the universe is zero at a = 0,while at the ground state the most probable radius is aboutthe Planck scale. It is also shown that there exist twodifferent types of universes, which can be connected bythe quantum tunneling effect, transiting from one region to another. It follows from thewormhole wave function that the most probable radius ofthe wormholes is about the Planck scale, which impliesthat the wormhole is steady due to the quantumeffect.  相似文献

A model, which admits normalizable wave functions of the Schrödinger equation at the energy of E = 0, is exactly solved and the solutions are compared to the corresponding classical trajectories. The wave functions are proved to be square-integrable for discrete (quantized) values of the coupling constant of the used potential. We also show that our model is a specific version of the well-known Maxwell’s fish-eye. This is performed with the help of a suitably chosen conformal mapping.  相似文献

We study the multifractality (MF) of critical wave functions at boundaries and corners at the metal-insulator transition (MIT) for noninteracting electrons in the two-dimensional (2D) spin-orbit (symplectic) universality class. We find that the MF exponents near a boundary are different from those in the bulk. The exponents at a corner are found to be directly related to those at a straight boundary through a relation arising from conformal invariance. This provides direct numerical evidence for conformal invariance at the 2D spin-orbit MIT. The presence of boundaries modifies the MF of the whole sample even in the thermodynamic limit.  相似文献

针对常规统计最优近场声全息在空间多源声场重建过程中所需波函数项数多、重建精度不理想的问题,本文提出了一种基于振速测量的改进统计最优近场声全息算法。与常规算法不同,改进算法主要根据声源特点选取合适的波函数组合来计算声场传递矩阵。通过数值仿真初步验证了该方法的准确性和有效性,并与常规算法进行了详细的对比分析。仿真结果表明,改进算法重建精度高,随频率的变化相对误差波动较小,且随着频率的增大相对误差有逐渐减小的趋势;此外,不同的波函数组合,重建效果差异很大,当选取的波函数与声源共形且数量一致时重建效果最好。  相似文献

We investigate the influence of higher twist corrections to deep inelastic structure functions in the low- and small-x HERA region. We review the general features of the lowest-order QCD diagrams which contribute to twist-4 at small-x, in particular the sign structure of longitudinal and transverse structure functions which offers the possibility of strong cancellations in . For a numerical analysis we perform a twist analysis of the saturation model which has been very successful both in describing the structure function and the DIS diffractive cross section at HERA. As the main conclusion, twist 4 corrections are not small in or but in they almost cancel. This indicates the limitation on the use of the DGLAP formalism at small x and . We point out that analysis needs a large twist-4 correction. We also indicate the region of validity of the twist expansion. Received: 20 March 2000 / Published online: 9 August 2000  相似文献

We study the elliptic genus (a partition function) in certain interacting, twist quantum field theories. Without twists, these theories have N=2 supersymmetry. The twists provide a regularization, and also partially break the supersymmetry. In spite of the regularization, one can establish a homotopy of the elliptic genus in a coupling parameter. Our construction relies on a priori estimates and other methods from constructive quantum field theory; this mathematical underpinning allows us to justify evaluating the elliptic genus at one endpoint of the homotopy. We obtain a version of Witten's proposed formula for the elliptic genus in terms of classical theta functions. As a consequence, the elliptic genus has a hidden SL(2, ℤ) symmetry characteristic of conformal theory, even though the underlying theory is not conformal. The electrostatic twisted modes with orbital angular momentum and associated kinetic instability are studied in a permeating space plasma containing streaming particle species. The plasma containing superthermal electrons and ions is modeled by using a non-gyrotropic Kappa distribution function which penetrates through a relatively slow moving (static) plasma and gives rise to dispersion, damping and growth of ion-acoustic mode under various conditions. Using the Vlasov-Poisson model, the solutions of twisted modes are defined by Laguerre-Gaussian mode functions, which decompose the plasma distribution function and electric field into components characterized by the axial and azimuthal wave numbers. The dielectric constant is derived and analyzed for threshold condition of wave dispersion and instability in the presence of helical electric field with illustrations. The wave excitations due to penetration of solar wind into cometary clouds or interstellar electron-ion plasmas is examined.  相似文献
