We present an in-medium modified pion and rho meson Lagrangian which describes the pion, rho meson and the corresponding soliton properties in nuclear matter. Within the present approach pion properties in nuclear matter is closely related to the low-energy pion-nucleus scattering phenomenology. We discuss the possible modifications of rho meson properties in nuclear matter.  相似文献

The diagrams of the Tamm-Dancoff and random-phase approximations (TDA and RPA) have been summed to calculate the core polarization of the effective interaction between two nucleons in the 1s0d and Ip0f shells. The large core-polarization corrections obtained in the TDA and particularly the RPA are strongly reduced when the self-screening corrections to the particle-hole and ground-state correlation vertices are included. The screening corrections serve to suppress the collectivity of the core phonons and in particular stabilize the isoscalar monopole phonon in 40Ca against collapse. When screening is included the TDA and RPA give core-polarization corrections which are similar in magnitude and in many cases lead to good agreement with experiment. Because of neglected effects and other uncertainties the qualitative rather than the quantitative features of the results are stressed.  相似文献

The consequences of the continuity equation for the RPA are exploited, if charge and current densities are given. Simple, yet stringent conditions for the RPA amplitudes and the residual interaction are obtained. Under these conditions the RPA equations are simplified and exactly reduced to a hermitean eigenvalue problem of half the original dimensionality. Transition current matrix elements are then similar to those of an effective current recently proposed for TDA calculations.  相似文献

The propagators of pion and sigma meson at a finite nuclear density and zero temperature are studied in chiral σ model. Their dispersion relations are calculated numerically in one-loop approximation. In order to avoid the so-called tachyon pole appearing in the one-loop propagators of pion and sigma meson, we regard the mass of sigma meson mσ as a free parameter and adjust it to fit the nuclear saturation properties. For mσ equal to 3075 MeV, the tachyon pole does not appear at the normal nuclear density. Thus the dispersion relation can be calculated in chiral σ model in one-loop level for the first time.  相似文献

Flavor SU(3) analysis of B meson charmless hadronic two light pseudoscalar decays can be formulated in two different ways. One is to construct the SU(3) irreducible representation amplitude(IRA) according to effective Hamiltonian transformation properties, and the other is to draw the topological diagrams(TDA). We first point out that previous analyses of TDA and IRA approaches do not match in several aspects, in particular a few SU(3)independent amplitudes have been overlooked in the TDA approach. This has caused confusions in the past and sometimes resulted in incorrect interpretation of data. We then demonstrate that only if these amplitudes are included, a consistent and unified picture can be obtained. With the new TDA amplitudes, all charmless hadronic decays of heavy meson must have nonzero direct CP symmetries as already predicted by the IRA approach. In addition to their notable impact on CP asymmetry, the new amplitudes are also important to extract new physics information.  相似文献

An explicit evaluation of the spin asymmetry of the deuteron and the associated Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule is presented which includes photodisintegration, and single and double pion and eta production as well. Photodisintegration is treated with a realistic retarded potential and a corresponding meson exchange current. For single pion and eta production the elementary operator from MAID is employed, whereas for double pion production, an effective Lagrangian approach is used. A large cancellation between the disintegration and the meson production channels yields for the explicit GDH integral a value of 27.31 microb to be compared to the sum rule value 0.65 microb.  相似文献

Based on a relativistic quark model approach, the transition properties of the first nucleon resonance △(1232), and the coupling constants gπNN, g△πN are investigated. Tvo different vays to remove the center of mass motion are considered. The results of the relativistic approaches with and without center ofmass correction are compared with those of nonrelativistic constituent quark model. Moreover, pion meson cloud effect on these calculated observables is explicitly addressed. Better results are obtained by taking the pion meson cloud into account.  相似文献

The effect of energy dependence (ED) of the G matrix on RPA is investigated. Using the Hamada-Johnston potential, we calculate the 1p-1h TDA spectra of 16O. The following four cases are considered: (1) every G matrix element is approximated by its on shell value, (2) ED of G is taken intoaccount rigorously, (3) the effect of self-screening (SC) is considered, but the G matrix elements are assumed on the energy shell, (4) both SC and ED of G are taken into account. It is found that ED of G indeed causes a substantial damping effect on the backward-propagating bubbles of RPA as suggested by Wu. Further, ED of G and SC work in the same direction to diminish the difference between the energy spectra calculated by TDA and RPA.  相似文献

A model is developed for the hadronic interaction in the two-nucleon system above pion threshold which is based on meson, nucleon and Δ degrees of freedom and which includes full meson retardation in the exchange operators. For technical reasons, the model allows maximal one meson to be present explicitly. Thus the Hilbert space contains besides NN and NΔ also configurations consisting of two nucleons and one meson. For this reason, only two- and three-body unitarity is obeyed, and the model is suited for reactions in the two-nucleon sector, where only one pion is produced or absorbed. Starting from a realistic pure nucleonic retarded potential, which had to be renormalized because of the additional π and Δ degrees of freedom, a reasonable fit to experimental NN-scattering data could be achieved.  相似文献

In this work, a subtle role of the pion meson cloud effect on the electric polarizabilities of the proton and neutron is stressed. It is shown that the electric polarizabilities of the proton and neutron, and the difference between the electric polarizabilities of the proton and neutron can be explained by including the pion meson cloud explicitly. However, the magnitude of the estimated mean-square charge radius of the neutron is still far from the measurement.  相似文献

The meson masses are investigated at finite temperature in the framework of the linear sigma model with an explicit chiral symmetry breaking term. The imaginary-time thermo-field dynamics and effective potential have been used for the calculation of the meson masses. We found that the behavior of the sigma and pion masses at finite temperature is in agreement with previous works. The critical temperature, the order of the phase transition, and the dependence of the meson fields on the temperature are discussed.  相似文献

We present detailed numerical results for the pion space-like electromagnetic form factor obtained within a recently proposed model of the pion electromagnetic current in a confining light-front QCD-inspired model. The model incorporates the vector meson dominance mechanism at the quark level, where the dressed photon with q+ > 0 decays in an interacting quark-antiquark pair, which absorbs the initial pion and produces the pion in the final state.  相似文献

The modifications of the nucleon structure due to the presence of an external baryon medium are investigated in a chiral quark meson theory. To that end the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model is combined with the projected chiral soliton model. The medium effects are incorporated using the medium modified values of the pion decay constant and the pion and sigma masses at finite density. These values are evaluated within the NJL model. Using functional integral techniques the latter is solved in a quark continuum at finite density. The effective meson values serve to fix the parameters of the linear chiral sigma model which is solved in a variational projected mean field approach in order to obtain the nucleon properties. All nucleon properties show modifications in the medium except for the pion nucleon coupling constant. The proton radius shows an increase of 19% and the nucleon mass a decrease of 17% if the medium reaches nuclear matter density. The magnetic moments and axial vector coupling constant are less modified. All form factors show remarkable reduction at finite transfer momenta.  相似文献

The role of the medium polarization caused by the pion and rho-meson interactions in nuclear media for the corresponding meson exchange contributions to nuclear charge form factors is investigated. It is shown that the medium polarization and short-range effects slightly reduce the pion exchange contribution but that this reduction is more than compensated for by the ρ-meson exchange contribution. The combined pion and ρ-meson contributions to nuclear charge form factors is larger than previously estimated pion exchange corrections obtained without account of the medium polarization.  相似文献

The effect of quark exchange between different nucleons on the one pion exchange potential is studied in the framework of the resonating group method. The calculated phase shifts including the one pion exchange potential with quark exchange in addition to the one gluon plusσ meson exchange are shown to be consistent with experiments. Especially thep-wave phase shifts are improved by taking into account the quark exchange on the one pion exchange potential.  相似文献
