We present a measurement of the Bc+ meson lifetime in the decay mode Bc+ --> J/Psie+nue using the Collider Detector at Fermilab II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. From a sample of about of 360 pb(-1) of pp collisions at square root of s = 1.96 TeV, we reconstruct J/Psie+ pairs with invariant mass in the kinematically allowed range 4< M(J/Psie) < 6 GeV/c2. A fit to the decay-length distribution of 238 signal events yields a measured Bc+ meson lifetime of 0.463(-0.065)(+0.073)(stat) +/- 0.036(syst) ps. 相似文献

We have studied radiative pion decays pi(+)-->e(+)nugamma in three broad kinematic regions using the PIBETA detector and a stopped pion beam. Based on Dalitz distributions of 41 601 events we have evaluated absolute pi-->enugamma branching ratios in the three regions. Minimum chi(2) fits to the integral and differential (E(e(+)),E(gamma)) distributions result in the axial-to-vector weak form factor ratio of gamma identical with F(A)/F(V)=0.443(15), or F(A)=0.0115(4) with F(V)=0.0259. However, deviations from standard model predictions in the high-E(gamma)-low-E(e(+)) kinematic region indicate the need for further theoretical and experimental work. 相似文献

We report the measurement of the charmed baryonic decay B(0)-->Lambda(+)(c)p with a branching fraction of (2.19(+0.56)(-0.49)+/-0.32+/-0.57)x10(-5) and a statistical significance of 5.8 sigma. The errors are statistical, systematic, and the error of the Lambda(+)(c)-->pK(-)pi(+) decay branching fraction. This is the first observation of a two-body baryonic B decay. The analysis is based on 78.2 fb(-1) of data accumulated at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric e(+)e(-) collider. 相似文献

We extract a relatively precise value for the decay constant of the meson by measuring B(D+ --> mu+nu) = (4.40 +/-0.66(+0.09)(-0.12) x 10(-4) using 281 pb(-1) of data taken on phi(3770) the resonance with the CLEO-c detector. We find fD+ = (222.6 +/- 16.7(+2.8)(-3.4)) MeV, and compare with current theoretical calculations. We also set a 90% confidence upper limit on B(D+e+nu)< 2.4 x 10(-5) which constrains new physics models. 相似文献

Form factors measured for the decay η′ å ηπ ? π + in π ? A å η′π ? A* reactions at a beam momentum of p π = 28 GeV are presented. The distribution in Dalitz variables for 7000 decay events is described well within a linear and a nonlinear parametrization of the relavant matrix element. The slope parameter in the variable y differs from zero significantly. It is Reα = ?0.072±0.012 (stat.)±0.006 (syst.) in the linear and a = ?0.120±0.027 (stat.)±0.015 (syst.) in the nonlinear parametrization. In this decay, the C-violation parameter is compatible with zero, c = 0.021±0.024. 相似文献

An(n?1)/2+1 parameter, solution of the Yang Baxter equation is presented giving rise to the quantum Group \(GL_{X;q_{ij} } (n)\) . Determinant and inverse are constructed. The group acts covariantly on a quantum vector space of non-commutative coordinates. The associated exterior space can be identified with the differentials exhibiting a multiparameter deformed differential calculus following the construction of Wess and Zumino. 相似文献

An additional event near the upper kinematic limit for K+-->pi(+)nunu; has been observed by experiment E949 at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Combining previously reported and new data, the branching ratio is B(K+-->pi(+)nunu;)=(1.47(+1.30)(-0.89))x10(-10) based on three events observed in the pion momentum region 211

The decay K+ → e+vγ has been observed. In a counter experiment at CERN, 56 events of this type have been identified by detection of a γ with an energy > 100 MeV and of an e+ with an energy between 236 MeV and the maximum e+ energy, 247 MeV. The angle between γ and e+ was > 120°. Thus, the experiment was sensitive only to the structure decay (SD) term proportional to the squared sum of vector- and axialvector amplitudes, |νK + aK|2, corresponding to the emission of right handed γ. We find Δ+(SD)/Δ(Ke2) = 1.05?0.30+0.25 and Δ_(SD) < 85 (90% CL). Δ+ is in agreement with theoretical predictions. 相似文献

We performed a coincidence measurement of two nucleons emitted from the nonmesonic weak decay of lambda(5)He formed via the 6Li(pi+, K+) reaction. The energies of the two nucleons and the pair number distributions in the opening angle between them were measured. In both np and nn pairs, we observed a clean back-to-back correlation coming from the two-body weak reactions of lambda p --> np and lambda n --> nn, respectively. The ratio of the nucleon pair numbers was N(nn)/N(np) = 0.45 +/- 0.11(stat) +/- 0.03(syst) in the kinematic region of cos theta(NN) < -0.8. Since each decay mode was exclusively detected, the measured ratio should be close to the ratio of gamma(lambda p --> np)/gamma(lambda n --> nn). The ratio is consistent with recent theoretical calculations based on the heavy meson and/or direct-quark exchange picture. 相似文献

The half-life, 3.8755(12) s, and superallowed branching ratio, 0.5315(12), for 22Mg beta decay have been measured with high precision. The latter depended on gamma-ray intensities being measured with an HPGe detector calibrated for relative efficiencies to an unprecedented 0.15%. Previous precise measurements of 0+ --> 0+ transitions have been restricted to the nine that populate stable daughter nuclei. No more such cases exist, and any improvement in a critical Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity test must depend on precise measurements of more exotic nuclei. With this branching-ratio measurement, we show those to be possible for T(z)=-1 parents. We obtain a corrected Ft value of 3071(9) s, in good agreement with expectations. 相似文献

We present calculations of the cross-sections and the forward-backward asymmetry forp \(\bar p\) →?+ ?? +X in the framework of anSU(2)×U(1)×G model with two neutral gauge bosons [G=U(1) orSU(2)]. It is shown that a peak in the cross-section associated with a large asymmetry will characterize a deviation from the standard model. 相似文献

Experiment 865 at the Brookhaven Alternating Gradient Synchrotron obtained 410 K+-->e(+)nue(+)e(-) and 2679 K+-->mu(+)nue(+)e(-) events including 10% and 19% background. The branching ratios were measured to be [2.48+/-0.14(stat)+/-0.14(syst)]x10(-8) (m(ee)>150 MeV) and (7.06+/-0.16+/-0.26)x10(-8) (m(ee)>145 MeV), respectively. Results for the decay form factors are presented. 相似文献
