Elastic constants of Na and Li metals are calculated successfully for temperatures up to 350K and pressures up to 30GPa using a scheme without involving any adjustable parameter.Elastic constants are assumed to depend only on an effective pair potential that is only determined by the average interatomic distance.Temperature has an effect on elastic constants by way of charging the equilibrium.The elastic constants can be obtained by fitting the relationship between total energy and strain tensor using the new set of lattice parameters obtained by calculating displacement of atoms at the finite temperature and at a fixed pressure.The relationship between the effective pair potential and the interatiomic distance is fitted by using a series of data of cohesive energy corresponding to lattice parameters.  相似文献

We report the analysis status of single π0electroproduction in the resonance region to study the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon resonances. The study is aimed at understanding of the internal structure and dynamics of the nucleon. The experiment was performed using an unpolarized cryogenic hydrogen target and 2.0 and 5.8 GeV polarized electron beam during the ele and e1-6 run periods with CLAS at Jefferson Lab. The new measurements will produce a data base with high statistics and large kinematic coverage for the hadronic invariant mass (W) up to 2.0 CeV in the momentum transfer (Q2) range of 0.3--6.0 GeV2. Preliminary results will be presented and compared with the various model calculations.  相似文献

This paper presents the dynamical properties of a Rydberg hydrogen atom between two metal surfaces using phase space analysis methods. The dynamical behaviour of the excited hydrogen atom depends sensitively on the atom--surface distance d. There exists a critical atom--surface distance dc = 1586 a.u. When the atom--surface distance d is larger than the critical distance dc, the image charge potential is less important than the Coulomb potential, the system is near-integrable and the electron motion is regular. As the distance d decreases, the system will tend to be non-integrable and unstable, and the electron might be captured by the metal surfaces.  相似文献

The formalism of the earlier fatigue crack growth models is retained to account for multiscaling of the fatigue process that involves the creation of macrocracks from the accumulation of micro damage.The effects of at least two scales,say micro to macro,must be accounted for.The same data can thus be reinterpreted by the invariancy of the transitional stress intensity factors such that the microcracking and macrocracking data would lie on a straight line.The threshold associated with the sigmoid curve disappears.Scale segmentation is shown to be a necessity for addressing multiscale energy dissipative processes such as fatigue and creep.Path independency and energy release rate are monoscale criteria that can lead to unphysical results,violating the first principles.Application of monoscale failure or fracture criteria to nanomaterials is taking toll at the expense of manufacturing super strength and light materials and structural components.This brief view is offered in the spirit of much needed additional research for the reinforcement of materials by creating nanoscale interfaces with sustainable time in service.The step by step consideraton at the different scales may offer a better understanding of the test data and their limitations with reference to space and time.  相似文献

We investigate the morphology and wettability of [Bmira][PF6] ionic liquid (IL) on a highly oriented pyrolitic graphite (HOPG) substrate using atomic force microscopy. Thin films, nanometer-sized droplets, and "drop-onlayer" structures of the IL are found on the substrate. Films with a thickness of up to 2nm (about 4 IL layers) show the solid-like behavior. In contrast, a dewetting phenomenon is observed for thicker IL films, indicating that the IL films retain liquid properties. The contact angle of a buck IL droplet on the HOPG is measured to be about 35°. The wettability of the bulk IL droplet on the HOPG is found to be quite different from that of IL films. These results indicate that the IL molecules can be organized into various micro-morphologies when they are confined to a solid substrate and show characteristic behavior at nanometer scales.  相似文献

A new muon and pion capture system is proposed for the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS),currently under construction. Using about 4% of the pulsed proton beam(1.6 Ge V, 4 k W and 1 Hz) of CSNS to bombard a cylindrical graphite target inside a superconducting solenoid, both surface muons and pions can be acquired. The acceptance of this novel capture system- a graphite target wrapped up by a superconducting solenoid- is larger than the normal muon beam lines using quadrupoles at one side of the separated muon target. The muon and pion production at different capture magnetic fields was calculated using Geant4. The bending angle of the capture solenoid with respect to the proton beam was also optimized in simulation to achieve more muons and pions.Based on the layout of the muon experimental area reserved at the CSNS project, a preliminary muon beam line was designed with multi-purpose muon spin rotation areas(surface, decay and low-energy muons). Finally, high-flux surface muons(10~8/s) and decay muons(10~9/s) simulated by G4 beamline will be available at the end of the decay solenoid based on the first phase of CSNS. This collection and transport system will be a very effective beam line at a proton current of 2.5 μA.  相似文献

To merge the beam from either of the two injectors to the main linac, a dog-leg system will be employed in the second Medium Energy Beam Transport (MEBT2) line of the China ADS driving accelerator. The achromatic condition has to be guaranteed to avoid beam center excursion against energy jitter. RF cavities were found to be indispensable to control the bunch length growth in the dog-leg system of MEBT2. The full uncoupling between transverse and longitudinal plane is desired to minimize the growth of projected rms emittances. The uncoupled achromatic condition of this dogleg system with the presence of RF bunching cavities will be deduced using the transfer matrices method. It is found that, to fulfill the uncoupling condition, the distance between the bunching cavities is uniquely determined by the maximum energy gain of the RF cavities. The theoretical analysis is verified by the simulation code TraceWin. The space charge effect on the uncoupled achromatic condition and the beam emittance growth will Mso be discussed.  相似文献

The temporal response of cadmium-zinc-telluride(CZT) crystals is evaluated at room temperature by using an ultrafast-pulsed x-ray source. The dynamics of carrier relaxation in a CZT single crystal is modeled at a microscopic level based on a multi-trapping effect. The effects of the irradiation flux and bias voltage on the amplitude and full width at half maximum(FWHM) of the transient currents are investigated. It is demonstrated that the temporal response process is affected by defect level occupation fraction. A fast photon current can be achieved under intense pulsed x-ray irradiation to be up to 2.78×10~9 photons mm~(-2)·s~(-1). Meanwhile, it is found that high bias voltage could enhance carrier detrapping by suppressing the capture of structure defects and thus improve the temporal response of CZT detectors.  相似文献

The fission electron-collection neutron detector(FECND) is a current-type neutron detector.Based on the analysis of the generation process of the gamma signals of the FECND,a mechanism utilizing symmetrical structure is proposed and discussed to suppress the gamma signals:According to this mechanism,the electrons generated from the gamma rays can be well compensated for by the adjustment of the electrodes' thickness and distance.In this study,based on the Monte-Carlo simulation of the gamma signals of the FECND,the varying patterns are obtained between the gamma signals and the detector parameter settings.As indicated by the simulation results,the gamma electrons can be compensated for completely by simply adjusting the coated electrode substrate thickness and distance.Moreover,with a proposed optimal parameter setting,the gamma sensitivity can be as low as 3.39×10~(-23) C·cm~2,while the signal-to-noise ratio can be higher than 200:1.The compensation results of the γ-rays in the FECND will be slightly affected by the manufacturing error or the assembly error.  相似文献

We consider the positivity bounds on dimension-8 four-electron operators and study two related phenomenological aspects at future lepton colliders.First,if positivity is violated,probing such violations will revolutionize our understanding of the fundamental pillars of quantum field theory and the S-matrix theory.We observe that positivity violation at scales of 1-10 TeV can potentially be probed at future lepton colliders even if one assumes that dimension-6 operators are also present.Second,the positive nature of the dimension-8 parameter space often allows us to either directly infer the existence of UV-scale particles together with their quantum numbers or exclude them up to certain scales in a model-independent way.In particular,dimension-8 positivity plays an important role in the test of the Standard Model.If no deviations from the Standard Model are observed,it allows for simultaneous exclusion limits on all kinds of potential UV-complete models.Unlike the dimension-6 case,these limits apply regardless of the UV model setup and cannot be removed by possible cancellations among various UV contributions.This thus consists of a novel and universal test to confirm the Standard Model.We demonstrate with realistic examples how all the previously mentioned possibilities,including the test of positivity violation,can be achieved.Hence,we provide an important motivation for studying dimension-8 operators more comprehensively.  相似文献

Using of data collected with the CLEO-c detector, we report on first observations and measurements of Cabibbo-suppressed decays of D mesons in the following six decay modes: pi+ pi- pi0 pi0, pi+ pi+ pi- pi- pi0, pi+ pi0 pi0, pi+ pi+ pi- pi0, eta pi0, and omega pi+ pi-. Improved branching fraction measurements in eight other multipion decay modes are also presented. The measured D --> pi pi rates allow us to extract the ratio of isospin amplitudes A(DeltaI = (3/2) / A(DeltaI = (1/2)) = 0.420 +/- 0.014(stat) +/- 0.016(syst) and the strong phase shift of delta1 = (86.4 +/- 2.8 +/- 3.3) degrees, which is quite large and now more precisely determined.  相似文献

Following the successful identification of mixed-symmetric one- and two-phonon states in the N=52 nuclei 94Mo and 96Ru, we have performed a photon scattering experiment on the N=52 isotone 92Zr. Experimental data and shell model calculations show that both, single particle and collective degrees of freedom are present in the low-lying levels of 92Zr. The second excited quadrupole state shows the signatures of the one-phonon mixed-symmetric 2+ state, while calculations and data indicate an almost pure neutron configuration for the 2+1 state, in contradiction with the F-spin symmetric limit. Furthermore, two strong dipole excitations, which are candidates for the two-phonon quadrupole–octupole coupled E1 excitation and for the mixed-symmetric 1+ two-phonon state, were observed.  相似文献

In this talk, we firstly overview the experimental status of Nx(1625), which is an enhancement structure observed in K-3. invariant mass spectrum of J/ψ → pK-∧. process. Then we present the result of the decay of Nx(1625) under the two molecular assumptions, i.e. S-wave∧K- and S-wave ∑0K- molecular states. Several experimental suggestions for Nx (1625) are proposed.  相似文献

Using the recently developed finite-basis-set method with B splines, excited states of H atoms in a magnetic field have been calculated. Energy levels are presented for the ten excited states, 2so, 3d'0, 3po, 3p-1, 3d_1, 4d-1, 3d-2, 4d-2, 4f-2 , and 5f-2 as a function of magnetic field strengths with a range from zero up to 2.35 × 10^6 T. The obtained results are compared with available high accuracy theoretical data reported in the literature and found to be in excellent agreement. The comparison also shows that the current method can produce energy levels with an accuracy higher than the existing high accuracy method [Phys. Rev. A 54 (1996) 287]. Here high accuracy energy levels are for the first time reported for the 3d'0, 4d-1, 4d-2, 4f-2, and 5f-2 states.  相似文献

Electron spin resonance data of Cu2+ ions in La(14)-xCaxCu24O41 single crystals (x = 9,11,12) reveal a very large width of the resonance line in the paramagnetic state. This signals an unusually strong anisotropy of approximately 10% of the isotropic Heisenberg superexchange in the Cu-O chains of this compound. The strong anisotropy can be explained by the specific geometry of two symmetrical 90 degrees Cu-O-Cu bonds, which boosts the importance of orbital degrees of freedom. Our data show the apparent limitations of the applicability of an isotropic Heisenberg model to the low-dimensional cuprates.  相似文献

According to a new electron screening theory,we discuss the beta decay rates of nuclide 56Fe,56Co,56Ni,56Mn,56Cr and 56V with and without strong electron screening (SES).The results show that SES has only a slight effect on the beta decay rates for ρ/μe 108 g/cm3.However the beta decay rates would be influenced greatly for ρ/μe 108 g/cm3.Due to SES,the maximum values of the C-factor (in %) on beta decay rates of 56Fe,56Co,56Ni,56Mn,56Cr and 56V is of the order of 95.03%,35.02%,98.05%,80.33%,98.30% and 98.71% at T9 = 4.0 and 98.83%,98.89%,99.65%,10.32%,4.10% and 40.21% at T9 = 7.0,respectively.  相似文献

Hadron molecules     
We discuss a possible interpretation of the open charm mesons D*s0 (2317),D s1 (2460) and the hidden charm mesons X(3872),Y(3940) and Y(4140) as hadron molecules.Using a phenomenological Lagrangian approach we review the strong and radiative decays of the D* s0 (2317) and D s1 (2460) states.The X(3872) is assumed to consist dominantly of molecular hadronic components with an additional small admixture of a charmonium configuration.Determing the radiative (γJ/ψ and γψ(2s)) and strong (J/ψ2π and J/ψ3π) decay modes we show that the present experimental observation is consistent with the molecular structure assumption of the X(3872).Finally,we give evidence for molecular interpretations of the Y(3940) and Y(4140) related to the observed strong decay modes J/ψ+ω or J/ψ+φ,respectively.  相似文献

用流变相反应法合成了水杨酸镧和掺杂Tb3 的水杨酸镧 ,通过元素分析 ,TG ,DTA ,X射线粉末衍射及红外光谱分析确定了水杨酸镧的组成、晶体结构和羧酸根与金属离子的配位方式 ,测定了掺杂Tb3 的水杨酸镧的激发和发射光谱 ,并对其发光特性进行了讨论。X射线粉末衍射表明该化合物为具有层状结构的单斜晶系 ,晶胞参数为 :a =2 1 6 0 1 0 ,b =1 3 80 1 5 ,c =3 81 0 3 ,β=97 1 1° ,V =1 1 2 7 2 3 ,Z =2 ,ρcal =1 6 2 1g·cm-3 ,ρexp =1 6 5 3g·cm-3 。掺杂Tb3 的水杨酸镧固体样品在紫外光激发下可观测到很强的三价铽离子的绿色发光 ,其中5D4→ 7F5的跃迁发射最强。  相似文献

In this paper, firstly, we investigate the neutrino emissivity from quark Urca process in strong magnetic field. Then, we discuss the heat capacity of strange stars in strong magnetic field. Finally, we give the cooling curve in strong magnetic field. In order to make a comparison, we also give the corresponding cooling curve in the case of null magnetic field. It turns out that strange stars cool faster in strong magnetic field than that without magnetic field.  相似文献

The electron capture of Gamow--Teller transition on iron group nuclei is investigated in a strong magnetic. field at the crusts of neutron stars. The results show that the magnetic field has only a slight effect on the electron capture rates with the range of the magnetic fields (10^9 - 10^13 G) on surfaces of most neutron stars, whereas for some magnetars whose range of the magnetic field is 10^13 - 10^18 G, the electron capture rates of most iron group nuclei would be debased greatly and may be even decreased overrun 3 orders of magnitude by the strong magnetic field.  相似文献
