The radio-frequency plasma polymerization technique was used to polymerize aniline onto polymer substrates including perfluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer. The plasma-polyaniline films were characterized by ultraviolet/visible absorption spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, electron spin resonance, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and contact angle measurements. Preliminary conductivity measurements were also carried out. It was demonstrated that the chemical and physical characteristics of the plasma-polymerized poly-aniline films changed significantly with discharge conditions, indicating the possibility for tailoring the structure and properties of the polyaniline films by optimizing the discharge conditions. In particular, the contents of quinoid sequences and aliphatic crosslinking moieties were found to increase with increasing power input and/or discharge duration. By contrast, the number of free radicals trapped in the polyaniline films and their mobility were shown to increase with decreasing the power input and/or discharge duration within the plasma conditions covered in this study. Furthermore, a correlation was found between surface hydrophilicity of the resultant plasma-polyaniline films and the atomic ratio of C to N. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The plasma polymerization of 4-phenylbenzonitrile was carried out with the objective of synthesizing a novel conjugated polynitrile thin film with a better optical property. The structure, compositions and morphology of the plasma-polymerized 4-phenylbenzonitrile (PPBPCN) thin films were investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). A fine, homogenous PPBPCN film with a large π-conjugated system and a high retention of the aromatic ring structure of the starting monomer in the deposited plasma films is obtained when a low discharge power of 30 W was used during film formation. For the first time, a blue emission with relatively high photoluminescence intensity for PPBPCN thin films was observed.  相似文献

In this study, Doppler broadening energy spectroscopy (DBES) combined with slow positron beam was used to discuss the effect of substrate types on the fine structure of a plasma-polymerized SiOCH layer as a function of depth. From the SEM pictures, the SiOCH films formed on different substrates showed hemispherical macrostructures, and the deposition rate was dependent on the mean pore size. It appears that the morphology of the plasma-polymerized SiOCH films was associated with the porosity-related characteristics of the substrate such as the size/shape of pores. As deposited on the MCE-022 substrate (mixed cellulose esters membrane with a mean pore size of 0.22 μm) with a nodular structure, the SiOCH films had pillar-like structures and high gas permeabilities. DBES results showed that the SiOCH films deposited on different substrates were composed of three layers: the SiOCH bulk layer, the transition layer, and the substrate. It was observed that the microstructure of the SiOCH films was affected layer by layer; a higher surface pore size in the substrates induced thicker transition layers with higher microporosities and led to thinner bulk layers having higher S parameter values during the plasma polymerization. It was also observed that the change in O(2)/N(2) selectivity was consistent with the DBES analysis results. The gas separation performance and DBES analysis results agreed with each other.  相似文献

采用等离子体聚合技术合成了一种新型的低介电常数聚喹啉衍生物薄膜: 聚3-氰基喹啉(PP3QCN)薄膜. 借助于傅里叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)、紫外-可见(UV-Vis)吸收光谱、X光电子能谱(XPS)和原子力显微镜(AFM)对薄膜结构进行了系统表征. 结果表明, 等离子体聚合条件对沉积膜的化学结构、表面组成、膜形态以及介电性能均有影响. 在较低的等离子体放电功率(10 W)条件下, 可得到具有较高芳环保留率和较大π-共轭体系的高质量聚3-氰基喹啉薄膜材料; 而在较高功率(25 W)条件下, 聚合过程中会出现比较严重的单体分子破碎, 形成较多非π-共轭体系的聚合物, 从而导致聚3-氰基喹啉的共轭度降低. 聚3-氰基喹啉薄膜的介电性能测试结果表明, 低放电功率(10 W)条件下制得的聚3-氰基喹啉薄膜具有比较低的介电常数值, 仅为2.45.  相似文献

Remarkable properties of plasma polymer films are greatly dependent not only on the chemical structure of precursor but also on the reactor design and the deposition conditions. In many industrial applications it is a challenge to control the plasma polymer structure. In this paper we investigate the chemical transformation of various aromatic compounds, such as activation and fragmentation of substituent-part, aromatic ring opening, during plasma polymerization process. Polymerized films are deposited in a low-frequency capacitively coupled plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition reactor, working at low pressure. The chemical composition of plasma-polymerized films is elucidated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, solid-state carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Based on spectroscopic measurements, the intermediary reactions during film growth may be presumed.  相似文献

通过化学聚合法,制备出盐酸掺杂聚苯胺(PANI),将其与聚砜(PSF)溶液混合,定量滴加到玻碳电极上制得PANI/PSF复合膜电极。 采用扫描电子显微镜、红外光谱以及X射线衍射对其结构和形貌进行表征。 根据循环伏安曲线、恒电流充放电曲线和电化学阻抗,研究了其作为电极的超级电容性能。 结果表明,多孔结构的PANI/PSF复合材料具有良好的电容性能,其比电容可达到497 F/g,并且该超级电容器具有较小的内阻和较好的循环稳定性。  相似文献

The p-NiO/n-TiO2/polyaniline composites were synthesized via in situ polymerization of aniline. The structure and morphology of the composites were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. It was found that the p-n junction p-NiO/n-TiO2 particles were trapped in the polyaniline molecular matrix and the polyaniline was deposited on the surface of the particles to form a kind of flower cluster morphologies. The electrochemical behavior of the polyaniline composites was investigated. The electrochemical reactivity of the polyaniline was influenced by the p-NiO/n-TiO2 particles due to the effect of electron-hole pairs in these p-n junction particles. The reversibility of redox process and current intensity of the polyaniline composites with the changing of potential scan rate were also discussed.  相似文献

The role of plasma parameters on the film characteristics is investigated on polyaniline thin film deposited by radio frequency (RF) plasma polymerization. A series of un-doped and iodine doped polyaniline thin films are prepared by RF discharge operating at 13.56?MHz with different discharge powers and pressure variation from 0.1 to 0.05?mbar and variation in deposition time from 20 to 40?min. A good thin film is found with a power ranging from 9?W (?28?V self bias) to 20?W (?65?V self bias) at 0.1?mbar pressure which is confirmed by fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy showing the retention of aromatic rings. In addition, iodine doping is carried out with 9?W power and 0.1?mbar pressure. The characterization of process plasma is done using Langmuir probe diagnostics and optical emission spectroscopy. A correlation has been established between film characteristics and plasma properties investigated using optical emission spectroscopy and Langmuir probe analysis. Emphasis has been given on the study of the influence of plasma parameters, particularly of the electron energy distribution function on the quality of conjugated plasma polymerized aniline film.  相似文献

This work demonstrated a facile route to the synthesis of polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers by polymerization of aniline using chloroaurate acid (HAuCl(4)) as the oxidant. The reduction of AuCl(4)(-) is accompanied by oxidative polymerization of aniline, leading to uniform PANI nanofibers with a diameter of 35 +/- 5 nm and aggregated gold nanoparticles which can precipitate from the liquid phase during the reaction. The resultant PANI nanofibers and gold particles were characterized by means of different techniques, such as UV-vis, FTIR spectroscopy, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy methods. It is found that the gold aggregates are capped with polyaniline, and the conductivity of the fibers is around 0.16 S/cm.  相似文献

Two kinds of novel π-conjugated polycyanate esters, namely the plasma-polymerized 4-methoxyphenol cyanate ester (PPMPCE) and the plasma-polymerized 4-phenylphenol cyanate ester (PPPPCE), were successfully prepared by plasma polymerization for the first time. The structure and compositions of both plasma polycyanate esters were investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and UV–Visible Absorption Spectra (UV–Vis). The results show that extensively conjugated C=N double bonds were formed in the plasma-deposited cyanate ester thin films, the plasma polymerization of both monomers proceeded mainly via the opening of π-bonds of the O–C≡N functional groups which are further on being formed into a large π-conjugated system, this unique process is noticeably different from the conventional thermal polymerization reaction of cyanate ester monomers. Further dielectric measurement shows that PPPPCE thin film gives a lower dielectric constant comparing to that of the PPMPCE film, and the dielectric constant of both plasma deposited thin films decreased with an increase in measurement frequency.  相似文献

Gold particles containing plasma-polymerized styrene film were formed simultaneously by plasma polymerization and evaporation using an inductively coupled argon gas flow type reactor. Gold was used as the evaporated metal and styrene as the monomer. The plasma etching characteristics of the film were evaluated by O2 and CO2 plasmas using a reactor with parallel-plate electrodes. A structure of lines and spaces of 4m width was successfully fabricated in the film on Si wafer by CO2 plasma etching through a mask pattern of plasma-polymerized resist. A self-developed pattern was obtained through the X-ray mask with polyimide substrate by synchrotron radiation. The molecular structure and atomic composition of the film were investigated by ESCA and TEM.  相似文献

报道了一种高溶解性导电聚苯胺(PANI)的制备方法,以聚2-丙烯酰胺-2-甲基丙磺酸(PAMPS)作为掺杂酸和乳化剂,利用其特有的长链、亲水性及强酸性基团效应,通过乳液聚合法一步合成出具有较高溶解性的导电聚苯胺。利用核磁共振光谱仪(NMR)、傅里叶红外光谱仪(FT-IR)和扫描电子显微镜(SEM)等技术手段对产物结构和性能进行了表征分析。结果表明,在m(苯胺)∶m(AMPS)∶m(APS)=1∶2∶1.5;AMPS质量分数为20%;APS质量分数为30%;反应时间为5 h;反应温度为5℃的条件下,聚苯胺的产率高达86%,在有机溶剂二甲基甲酰胺(DMF)中的溶解度可达0.3814 g/g,在水中的溶解度可达0.2123 g/g,电导率达5.9 S/cm。  相似文献

Summary: This work evaluated the influence of the synthesis temperature on the polyaniline (PANI) properties obtained by in-situ polymerization onto a poly (terephthalate) (PET) substrate. The residual mass of these syntheses was dried under vacuum, obtaining PANI powders for each temperature investigated. PANI/PET thin films and PANI powders were characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FEG-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and four-point probe techniques. The UV-Vis results showed that the synthesized PANI presents the emeraldine oxidation state. By means of XRD technique, it was possible to verify that the PANI powders present crystalline form. The AFM and FEG-SEM techniques showed that the decrease in PANI/PET and PANI powders electrical conductivity with increasing of the synthesis temperature is related to the polymeric aggregates morphology.  相似文献

Conducting composite membranes of bacterial cellulose (BC) and polyaniline doped with dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (PAni.DBSA) were successfully prepared by the in situ chemical polymerization of aniline in the presence of hydrated BC sheets. The polymerization was performed with ammonium peroxydisulfate as the oxidant agent and different amounts of DBSA. The composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, attenuation reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), impedance spectroscopy and small angle X ray scattering (SAXS). The highest electrical conductivity value was achieved by using a DBSA/aniline molar ratio of 1.5 because this condition provided a better penetration of PAni.DBSA chains inside the hydrated BC sheet, as observed by SEM. The in situ polymerization gives rise to conducting membranes with the surface constituted by different degree roughness as indicated by Nyquist plots obtained from impedance spectroscopy and confirmed by SAXS measurements. This preliminary work provides a new way to prepare cellulose-polyaniline conducting membranes which find potential applications as electronic devices, sensors, intelligent clothes, etc.  相似文献

Silicon substrates with (100) orientation were modified with amino-silane self-assembled monolayer (SAM) to provide amino (NH(2)) moieties at the substrate surface. Self-organization of polyaniline during chemical polymerization, on this modified surface, leads to the growth of highly oriented films at the substrate-polymer interface. The morphology studied using scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy revealed the formation of polymer film with well faceted pyramidal crystallites. XPS and FTIR spectroscopy were used to analyze the chemical structure of the film. X-ray diffraction measurements show the crystalline nature of the polyaniline, whose lattice parameters are in agreement with the reported values. This study underlines the importance of a SAM in deciding the structure and morphology of the deposited polymer.  相似文献

Stabilization of plasma-polymerized allylamine films by ethanol extraction   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The effect of ethanol extraction on plasma-polymerized allylamine (PPAA) films was investigated by measuring their thickness change using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy and optical waveguide spectroscopy (OWS). It was found that much of the freshly deposited PPAA films is lost upon ethanol treatment. The decrease in PPAA thickness is related to the plasma input power, the monomer vapor pressure, and the thickness of the deposited films. Despite the relatively high loss in film thickness, the densities of the amine groups in the extracted PPAA are comparable to those of fresh films, as seen by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The results of this study are of specific importance with respect to the biomedical application of plasma-polymerized functional thin films, in which the stability of a plasma polymer in contact with aqueous media is essential.  相似文献

Composite of conductive polyaniline-isobutylated urea formaldehyde have been prepared by chemical oxidative emulsion polymerization of aniline in the presence of isobutylated urea formaldehyde resin (BUFR) in toluene-water solvents at room temperature. The mass loading of polyaniline was controlled by varying the BUFR/aniline charging ratio as well as oxidant (ammonium persulfate)/aniline molar ratio. Some factors capable of affecting the yield and conductivity of composite, such as amount of the oxidant, type of the dispersants (span-80 and span-20), and amount of resin and organic acid (para-toluene sulfonic acid) were investigated. Composite material formed from a mesoporous aluminosilicate, Na-AlMCM-41, with conducting polyaniline (PANI) has been synthesized by an in situ polymerization technique. Studies of aniline adsorption over mesoporous Na-AlMCM-41 synthesized in our laboratory allowed us to find the modes in which aniline interacts with the active sites of Na-AlMCM-41. In order to obtain the best reaction conditions to polymerize aniline onto Na-AlMCM-41, aniline was first polymerized to produce pure PANI. Hence, the oxidative in situ polymerization was carried out by two procedures, differing in the polymerization time and in static or stirring conditions. Studies of infrared spectroscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy indicated that higher polymerization time and static conditions allowed us to obtain mainly polyaniline in emeraldine form on the host. The N(2) isotherm of the polyaniline/Na-AlMCM-41 composite (PANI/MCM) indicated that the shape was similar to that of MCM, but the shift to saturation transition to lower partial pressure shows that the channels are occupied by PANI and they are now narrowed. The thermal properties of PANI, Na-AlMCM-41, and composite were investigated by TGA analyses and we found that the polymer shows higher thermal stability when it is forming the composite. Scanning electron microscopy indicated that PANI is not on the outer surface of the host. Conductivity studies show that PANI/Na-AlMCM-41 exhibits semiconductor behavior at room temperature and its conductivity was 7.0 x 10(-5) S/cm, smaller than that of pure polyaniline. PANI/Na-AlMCM-41 conductivity shows an increase as temperature increases. Magnetic measurements at room temperature confirmed that the composite has paramagnetic behavior; at lower temperatures the composite became diamagnetic.  相似文献

This paper is an extension of previous work on polymerization of anilinium–DBSA (dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid) in an aqueous dispersion in the presence of mica or talc silicate particles. The presence of mica or talc particles greatly accelerates the polymerization process of anilinium‐DBSA and an encapsulated structure is formed as well. The catalytic effect of various metallic cations which exist in the chemical compositions of mica or talc on the polymerization kinetics of anilinium‐DBSA was investigated. The conductivity results along with microscopy observations prove a well formed encapsulated structure for the polyaniline/mica composites, but less for the polyaniline/talc composites. The anilinium‐DBSA complex and mica aqueous dispersions pretreated at different temperatures prior to polymerization have shown a significant effect on the polymerization rate of anilinium‐DBSA.
