Two-sided pointwise estimates are established for polynomials that are orthogonal on the circle |z| = 1 with respect to the weight ?(τ): = h(τ)|sin(τ/2)|?1 g(|sin(τ/2)|) (τ ∈ ?), where g(t) is a concave modulus of continuity slowly changing at zero such that t ?1 g(t) ∈ L 1[0, 1] and h(τ) is a positive function from the class C 2π with a modulus of continuity satisfying the integral Dini condition. The obtained estimates are applied to find the order of the distance from the point t = 1 to the greatest zero of a polynomial orthogonal on the segment [?1, 1].  相似文献

We present conditions that allow us to prove the existence of eigenvalues and characteristic values for operator F(D) ? C(λ): L 2(R m ) → L 2(R m ), where F(D) is a pseudo-differential operator with a symbol F() and C(λ): L 2(R m ) → L 2(R m ) is a linear continuous operator.  相似文献

Given a unilateral forward shift S acting on a complex, separable, innite dimensional Hilbert space H, an asymptotically S-Toeplitz operator is a bounded linear operator T on H satisfying that {S* n TS n } is convergent with respect to one of the topologies commonly used in the algebra of bounded linear operators on H. In this paper, we study the asymptotic T u -Toeplitzness of weighted composition operators on the Hardy space H2, where u is a nonconstant inner function.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider two types of space-time fractional diffusion equations(STFDE) on a finite domain. The equation can be obtained from the standard diffusion equation by replacing the second order space derivative by a Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative of order β (1 < β ≤ 2), and the first order time derivative by a Caputo fractional derivative of order γ (0 < γ ≤ 1). For the 0 < γ < 1 case, we present two schemes to approximate the time derivative and finite element methods for the space derivative, the optimal convergence rate can be reached O(τ2?γ + h2) and O(τ2 + h2), respectively, in which τ is the time step size and h is the space step size. And for the case γ = 1, we use the Crank-Nicolson scheme to approximate the time derivative and obtain the optimal convergence rate O(τ2 + h2) as well. Some numerical examples are given and the numerical results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

For any 0 < ? < 1 one can find a measurable set E ? [0, 1] with the measure |E| > 1 ? ? such that for each function f(x) ε L 1 (0, 1) a function g(x) ε L 1 (0, 1) exists such that it coincides with f (x) on E, its Fourier—Walsh series converges to it in the metric of L 1 (0, 1), and all nonzero terms of the sequence of Fourier coefficients of the new function obtained by the Walsh system have the modulo decreasing order; consequently, the greedy algorithm for this function converges to it in the L 1 (0, 1)-norm.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. The main result of this paper is as follows: If G is a finite group, such that Γ(G) = Γ(2G2(q)), where q = 32n+1 for some n ≥ 1, then G has a (unique) nonabelian composition factor isomorphic to 2 G 2(q). We infer that if G is a finite group satisfying |G| = |2 G 2(q)| and Γ(G) = Γ (2 G 2(q)) then G ? = 2 G 2(q). This enables us to give new proofs for some theorems; e.g., a conjecture of W. Shi and J. Bi. Some applications of this result are also considered to the problem of recognition by element orders of finite groups.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and let Γ(G) be the prime graph of G. Assume p prime. We determine the finite groups G such that Γ(G) = Γ(PSL(2, p 2)) and prove that if p ≠ 2, 3, 7 is a prime then k(Γ(PSL(2, p 2))) = 2. We infer that if G is a finite group satisfying |G| = |PSL(2, p 2)| and Γ(G) = Γ(PSL(2, p 2)) then G ? PSL(2, p 2). This enables us to give new proofs for some theorems; e.g., a conjecture of W. For a new class of g(t, x), the existence, uniqueness and stability of \({2\pi}\)-periodic solution of Duffing equation \({x'' + cx' + g(t, x) = h(t)}\) are presented. Moreover, the unique \({2\pi}\)-periodic solution is (exponentially asymptotically stable) and its rate of exponential decay c/2 is sharp. The new criterion characterizes \({g_{x}^{\prime}(t, x) - c^2/4}\) with L p -norms \({(p \in [1, \infty])}\), and the classical criterion employs the \({L^{\infty}}\)-norm. The advantage is that we can deal with the case that \({g_{x}^{\prime}(t, x) - c^2/4}\) is beyond the optimal bounds of the \({L^{\infty}}\)-norm, because of the difference between the L p -norm and the \({L^{\infty}}\)-norm.  相似文献

Let D be a bounded domain in ? n (n ≥ 2) with infinitely smooth boundary ?D. We give some necessary and sufficient conditions for the Cauchy problem to be solvable in the Lebesgue space L 2(D) in D for an arbitrary differential operator A having an injective principal symbol. Furthermore, using bases with double orthogonality, we construct Carleman’s formula that restores a (vector-)function in L 2(D) from the Cauchy data given on a relatively open connected set Γ ? ?D and the values Au in D whenever the data belong to L 2(Γ) and L 2(D) respectively.  相似文献

Two difference schemes are derived for numerically solving the one-dimensional time distributed-order fractional wave equations. It is proved that the schemes are unconditionally stable and convergent in the \(L^{\infty }\) norm with the convergence orders O(τ 2 + h 2γ 2) and O(τ 2 + h 4γ 4), respectively, where τ,h, and Δγ are the step sizes in time, space, and distributed order. A numerical example is implemented to confirm the theoretical results.  相似文献

The focus of this paper is on the optimal error bounds of two finite difference schemes for solving the d-dimensional (d = 2, 3) nonlinear Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger (KGS) equations. The proposed finite difference schemes not only conserve the mass and energy in the discrete level but also are efficient in practical computation because only two linear systems need to be solved at each time step. Besides the standard energy method, an induction argument as well as a ‘lifting’ technique are introduced to establish rigorously the optimal H 2-error estimates without any restrictions on the grid ratios, while the previous works either are not rigorous enough or often require certain restriction on the grid ratios. The convergence rates of the proposed schemes are proved to be at O(h 2 + τ 2) with mesh-size h and time step τ in the discrete H 2-norm. The analysis method can be directly extended to other linear finite difference schemes for solving the KGS equations in high dimensions. Numerical results are reported to confirm the theoretical analysis for the proposed finite difference schemes.  相似文献

Superconvergence and recovery type a posteriori error estimators are analyzed for Pian and Sumihara's 4-node hybrid stress quadrilateral finite element method for linear elasticity problems. Superconvergence of order O(h~(1+min){α,1}) is established for both the displacement approximation in H~1-norm and the stress approximation in L~2-norm under a mesh assumption, where α 0 is a parameter characterizing the distortion of meshes from parallelograms to quadrilaterals. Recovery type approximations for the displacement gradients and the stress tensor are constructed, and a posteriori error estimators based on the recovered quantities are shown to be asymptotically exact. Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a so-called modified Q 1-finite volume element scheme that is obtained by employing the trapezoidal rule to approximate the line integrals in the classical Q 1-finite volume element method. A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for the positive definiteness of a certain element stiffness matrix. Based on this result, a sufficient condition is suggested to guarantee the coercivity of the scheme on arbitrary convex quadrilateral meshes. When the diffusion tensor is an identity matrix, this sufficient condition reduces to a geometric one, covering some standard meshes, such as the traditional h 1+γ -parallelogram meshes and some trapezoidal meshes. More interesting is that, this sufficient condition has explicit expression, by which one can easily judge on any diffusion tensor and any mesh with any mesh size h > 0. The H 1 error estimate of the modified Q 1-finite volume element scheme is obtained without the traditional h 1+γ -parallelogram assumption. Some numerical experiments are carried out to validate the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The cable equation is one of the most fundamental equations for modeling neuronal dynamics. These equations can be derived from the Nernst-Planck equation for electro-diffusion in smooth homogeneous cylinders. Fractional cable equations are introduced to model electrotonic properties of spiny neuronal dendrites. In this paper, a Galerkin finite element method(GFEM) is presented for the numerical simulation of the fractional cable equation(FCE) involving two integro-differential operators. The proposed method is based on a semi-discrete finite difference approximation in time and Galerkin finite element method in space. We prove that the numerical solution converges to the exact solution with order O(τ+hl+1) for the lth-order finite element method. Further, a novel Galerkin finite element approximation for improving the order of convergence is also proposed. Finally, some numerical results are given to demonstrate the theoretical analysis. The results show that the numerical solution obtained by the improved Galerkin finite element approximation converges to the exact solution with order O(τ2+hl+1).  相似文献

Let P ∈ Sp(2n) satisfying P k = I 2n . We consider the minimal P-symmetric period problem of the autonomous nonlinear Hamiltonian system \(\dot x\left( t \right) = JH'\left( {x\left( t \right)} \right)\). For some symplectic matrices P, we show that for any τ > 0, the above Hamiltonian system possesses a periodic solution x with being its period provided H satis Fies Rabinowitz's conditions on the minimal minimal P-symmetric period conjecture, together with that H is convex and H(Px) = H(x).  相似文献

We present the convergence analysis of the rectangular Morley element scheme utilised on the second order problem in arbitrary dimensions. Specifically, we prove that the convergence of the scheme is of O(h) order in energy norm and of O(h2) order in L2 norm on general d-rectangular triangulations. Moreover, when the triangulation is uniform, the convergence rate can be of O(h2) order in energy norm, and the convergence rate in L2 norm is still of O(h2) order, which cannot be improved. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate our theoretical results.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlinear Schrödinger equation iu t u+|u| p?1 u = 0with 1+ 4/N < p < 1+ 4/N?2 (when N = 1, 2, 1 + 4/N < p < ∞) in energy space H 1 and study the divergent property of infinite-variance and nonradial solutions. If \(M{\left( u \right)^{\frac{{1 - {s_C}}}{{{s_C}}}}}E\left( u \right) \prec M{\left( Q \right)^{\frac{{1 - {s_C}}}{{{s_C}}}}}E\left( Q \right)\) and \(\left\| {{u_0}} \right\|_2^{\frac{{1 - {s_c}}}{{{s_c}}}}\left\| {\nabla {u_0}} \right\|_2^{\frac{{1 - {s_c}}}{{{s_c}}}}{\left\| {\nabla Q} \right\|_2}\), then either u(t) blows up in finite forward time or u(t) exists globally for positive time and there exists a time sequence t n → +∞ such that \({\left\| {\nabla u\left( {{t_n}} \right)} \right\|_2} \to + \infty \). Here Q is the ground state solution of ?(1?s c )QQ+Q p?1 Q = 0. A similar result holds for negative time. This extend the result of the 3D cubic Schrödinger equation obtained by Holmer to the general mass-supercritical and energy-subcritical case.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose and analyze an accelerated augmented Lagrangian method (denoted by AALM) for solving the linearly constrained convex programming. We show that the convergence rate of AALM is O(1/k 2) while the convergence rate of the classical augmented Lagrangian method (ALM) is O(1/k). Numerical experiments on the linearly constrained l 1?l 2 minimization problem are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of AALM.  相似文献

We consider an h-p version of the continuous Petrov-Galerkin time stepping method for Volterra integro-differential equations with proportional delays. We derive a priori error bounds in the L 2-, H 1- and L -norm that are explicit in the local time steps, the local approximation orders, and the local regularity of the exact solution. Numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. Let X 1(G) be the first column of the ordinary character table of G. We will show that if X 1(G) = X1(PGU3(q 2)), then G ? PGU3(q 2). As a consequence, we show that the projective general unitary groups PGU3(q 2) are uniquely determined by the structure of their complex group algebras.  相似文献
