讨论了在双光子驱动场作用下,三能级原子在光子晶体中的自发发射问题.由于量子干涉和光的局域化作用,两个上能级中的占据数将具有周期振荡或准周期振荡的性质,这不仅依赖于两个上能级与禁带的相对位置,同时也依赖于原子的初始状态,而且还与驱动场的强度、驱动场的入射位相有关.这些性质既与真空中带有驱动场的原子的自发发射性质不同,也有别于无驱动场作用下光子晶体中三能级原子的自发发射性质. 关键词:  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of thermodynamic system, described by one order parameter and one control parameter, in a small neighborhood of ordinary and bifurcation equilibrium values of the system parameters is studied. Using the general methods of investigating the branching (bifurcations) of solutions for nonlinear equations, we performed an exhaustive analysis of the order parameter dependences on the control parameter in a small vicinity of the equilibrium values of parameters, including the stability analysis of the equilibrium states, and the asymptotic behavior of the order parameter dependences on the control parameter (bifurcation diagrams). The peculiarities of the transition to an unstable state of the system are discussed, and the estimates of the transition time to the unstable state in the neighborhood of ordinary and bifurcation equilibrium values of parameters are given. The influence of an external field on the dynamic behavior of thermodynamic system is analyzed, and the peculiarities of the system dynamic behavior are discussed near the ordinary and bifurcation equilibrium values of parameters in the presence of external field. The dynamic process of magnetization of a ferromagnet is discussed by using the general methods of bifurcation and stability analysis presented in the paper.  相似文献

We analyze the dynamical behavior of all-optical switching and memory based on tunable optical bistability in a three-level Λ-type atomic system driven by a probe field circulating in an optical ring cavity, a coherent coupling field and an incoherent pump field outside cavity. Owing to the incoherent pump process, the absorption and Kerr nonlinearity near the atomic resonance change dramatically as a result of varied population distribution and atomic coherence, and then the switch-up and switch-down thresholds, as well as the width (or area) of bistable curve, can be manipulated effectively. By tuning the intensity of either coherent coupling field or incoherent pump field, we can make the system output flip between the lower and upper branches of different bistable hysteresis loops while the cavity input keeps to a constant value. Accordingly, all-optical switching and memory can be implemented via dynamical control of the bistable behavior under the assistance of incoherent pump. The proposed scheme can find potential applications in all-optical communication and computation.  相似文献

分别考虑了微波传播方向与电流变液颗粒链相垂直和平行的情况,对BaTiO3电流变液微波透射行为进行了实验研究。发现BaTiO3电流变液微波透射率可由外电场调控。在垂直的情形,当流体浓度较低时,透射率随电场强度增加而减小,并且随浓度增加电场调节微波透射率的变化幅度增加。浓度超过一定值时,透射率随电场出现由减小向增加的改变,存在透射率的极小点。在平行的情形,发现透射率随电场强度增加而减小。另外透射率随电场强度变化具有延时性,对于给定浓度的情形,电场强度增加延时性明显减小。  相似文献

The influence of multiplicative external fluctuations (noise) on the phenomenological equation describing the Fréedericksz transition has been studied by means of an electronic analogue simulator. Measurements were made of the stationary probability density for a wide range of fluctuation intensities and correlation times, for both dichotomous and Gaussianly distributed noise. For dichotomous forcing, the resultant phase diagrams at particular values of the field intensity parameter were found to be in satisfactory agreement with exact theoretical predictions by Horsthemkeet al. In the (physically more realistic) case of Gaussian fluctuations, for which no theory is currently available, the results obtained were distinctively different. A physically motivated discussion is given to account for the interesting differences and similarities of behavior found for the two types of external noise.  相似文献

We have considered phase separation processes in binary stochastic systems with thermal diffusion and ballistic mixing representing irradiation influence. Introducing fluctuations of thermal flux and an external source of atom relocations due to ballistic diffusion into dynamics of a globally conserved field, we have shown that there are two competing mechanisms of phase transitions type of “order-disorder”: thermally assisted diffusion and irradiation induced atomic exchange. We have studied dynamics of the structure function at early stages of decomposition. In the framework of the mean field theory we have derived the effective Fokker-Planck equation to describe phase separation processes. It was shown that the ordering processes can be controlled by both regular and stochastic parts of external source influence. A reentrant behavior of a mean field order parameter versus the external noise intensity and fluctuations correlation radius is found.  相似文献

We explore laser-polarization-dependent and magnetically controlled optical bistability (OB) in an optical ring cavity filled with diamond nitrogen-vacancy (NV) defect centers under optical excitation. The shape of the OB curve can be significantly modified in a new operating regime from the previously studied OB case, namely, by adjusting the intensity of the external magnetic field and the polarization of the control beam. The influences of the intensity of the control beam, the frequency detuning, and the cooperation parameter on the OB behavior are also discussed in detail. These results are useful in real experiments for realizing an all-optical bistate switching or coding element in a solid-state platform.  相似文献

We study a two-level quantum dot embedded in a phonon bath and irradiated by a time-dependent ac field, and develop a method that allows us to extract simultaneously the full counting statistics of the electronic tunneling and relaxation (by phononic emission) events as well as their correlation. We find that the quantum noise of both the transmitted electrons and the emitted phonons can be controlled by the manipulation of external parameters such as the driving field intensity or the bias voltage.  相似文献

We study the intensity–intensity correlations of the radiation emitted on probe transition in a three-level cascade electromagnetically-induced transparency (EIT) scheme. Further, we show that by applying even a very weak incoherent pump, the nature of the emitted radiation can be switched from classical to non-classical without significantly affecting the probe transparency.  相似文献

为获得尽可能大的差频转换效率,基于准周期极化铌酸锂(QPPLN)光学超晶格,提出了级联电光和差频理论,用于高效的差频转换。其方法是沿QPPLN光学超晶格的y方向施加一个外加电场,用来控制能量在抽运光、信号光、o偏振的差频光和e偏振的差频光四个光波之间的转移。计算结果表明,在一个100℃,40mm长的QPPLN光学超晶格中,当1550nm信号光与1064nm抽运光光强比值r<0.324时,对光强超过特定值的任意抽运光都可以通过施加一个适当的外加电场将抽运光完全转化为1550nm信号光和3393.4nm差频光;当r≥0.324,只当抽运光光强落在一定范围内时,才可以通过施加外加电场使抽运光完全转化为信号光和差频光;超过该范围,外加电场不能增加差频光转换效率。计算结果还表明,电光调制差频转换效率对温度和畴构造误差都不敏感。  相似文献

We report on the Compton scattering of photons from samples whose surface charge density distributions are changed by an external magnetic field. We performed a Compton scattering experiment known to be particularly sensitive to the behavior of the relatively slower moving outer electrons (valence electrons) involved in bonding in condensed matter. The external magnetic field was used to change the surface charge density distributions of Fe and p‐Si samples. Samples were located in the external magnetic field of intensity 215 G and in a direction which was perpendicular both to the current and surface of the samples bombarded by 59.5 keV γ‐photons emitted from an Am‐241 point source. Currents in the ranges 0–8.5 A and 0–300 µA were applied to the Fe and p‐Si samples, respectively. The Compton scattered photons at an angle of 100° were detected by an Si(Li) detector. It was observed that the counts acquired under the Compton peaks tended to decrease linearly with increasing current in a magnetic field. The results show that positive charge carriers behave like negative charge carriers and electrons are more effective than holes in the Compton scattering of γ‐rays. These damage could be associated with external attack or aging in electric devices,and then the bifurcation parameters could be deformed from normal values. Resonators or signal generators are often synchronized to produce powerful signal series and this problem could be investigated by using synchronization in network. Complete synchronization could be induced by linear coupling in a two-dimensional network of identical oscillators when the coupling intensity is beyond certain threshold. The collective behavior and synchronization state are much dependent on the bifurcation parameters. Any slight fluctuation in parameter and breakdown in bifurcation parameter can cause transition of synchronization even collapse of synchronization in the network. In this paper,a two-dimensional network composed of the resonators coupled with memristors under nearestneighbor connection is designed,and the network can reach complete synchronization by carefully selecting coupling intensity. The network keeps synchronization after certain transient period,then a bifurcation parameter in a resonator is switched from the previous value and the adjacent resonators(oscillators) are affected in random. It is found that the synchronization area could be invaded greatly in a diffusive way. The damage area size is much dependent on the selection of diffusive period of damage and deformation degree in the parameter. Indeed,the synchronization area could keep intact at largest size under intermediate deformation degree and coupling intensity.  相似文献

We analyze a simple model for degenerate four wave mixing, introduced by Savage and Walls. In the resonant case, the system exhibits a phase instability when the pump intensity is increased well beyond the threshold for generation of the signal mode. Still in the resonant configuration, we calculate the amplitude and phase squeezing spectra both for the signal and the pump mode. In the signal (pump) mode, the squeezing becomes especially large when the signal (pump) mode is much more damped than the pump (signal) mode. The signal field can exhibit both phase and amplitude squeezing, in distinct domains of the parameter space. On the other hand, the pump field can show squeezing only in the amplitude quadrature component. In general, the model exhibits sizable squeezing over very extended regions of the parameter space.  相似文献

The optical bistability (OB) and multistability (OM) in an open Λ-type three-level atomic system inside a ring cavity are investigated. It is found that the ratio of atomic injections β and the exit rates r 0 from cavity evidently affects the threshold intensity of OB and OM. The effect of incoherent pumping field on the OB and OM of a medium is discussed. We show that the bistable behavior of the open system significantly differs from that in a corresponding closed system, especially with an increase in the incoherent pump rate. The intensity threshold is reduced in an open system but increases in a closed system. In addition, the dependence of OB and OM in an open system on spontaneously generated coherence, the relative phase the between probe and coupling fields, the coupling-field intensity, and the cooperation parameter are briefly discussed.  相似文献

We consider the usual Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM), in the presence of an external classical field. Under a certain canonical transformation for the Pauli operators, the system is transformed into the usual JCM. Using the equations of motion in the Heisenberg picture, exact solutions for the time-dependent dynamical operators are obtained. In order to calculate the expectation values of these operators, the wave function has been constructed. It has been shown that the classical field augments the atomic frequency ω0 and mixes the original atomic states. Changes of squeezing from one quadrature to another is also observed for a strong value of the coupling parameter of the classical field. Furthermore, the system in this case displays partial entanglement and the state of the field losses its purity.  相似文献

We analyze and recover, by means of spatial intensity correlations, the image obtained by a seeded frequency-downconversion process in which the seed field is chaotic and an intensity modulation is encoded in the pump field. Although the field generated is as chaotic as the seed field and does not carry any information about the modulation of the pump, one can extract an image of the pump by measuring the spatial intensity correlations between the generated field and one Fourier component of the seed.  相似文献

Dynamics of external cavity semiconductor lasers is known to be a complex and uncontrollable phenomenon. Due to the lack of experimental studies on the nature of the external cavity semiconductor lasers, there is a need to theoretically clarify laser dynamics. The stability of laser dynamics in the present paper, is analyzed through plotting the Lyapunov exponent spectra, bifurcation diagrams, phase portrait and electric field intensity time series. The analysis is preformed with respect to applied feedback phase Cp, feedback strength η and the pump current of the laser. The main argument of the paper is to show that the laser dynamics can not be accounted for through simply a bifurcation diagram and single-control parameter. The comparison of the obtained results provides a very detailed picture of the qualitative changes in laser dynamics.  相似文献
