Some Generalizations of Monotonicity Condition and Applications

0 Introduction It is well known that there axe a great number of interesting results in Fourier analysis established by assuming monotonicity of coefficients, and many of them have been generalized by loosing the condition to quasi-monotonicity, O-regularly varying quasi-monotonicity, etc..     

Two Kinds of Numbers and Their Applications

C. Radoux （J. Comput. Appl. Math., 115 （2000） 471-477） obtained a computational formula of Hankel determinants on some classical combinatorial sequences such as Catalan numbers and polynomials, Bell polynomials, Hermite polynomials, Derangement polynomials etc. From a pair of matrices this paper introduces two kinds of numbers. Using the first kind of numbers we give a unified treatment of Hankel determinants on those sequences, i.e., to consider a general representation of Hankel matrices on the first kind of numbers. It is interesting that the Hankel determinant of the first kind of numbers has a close relation that of the second kind of numbers.     

Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy Spaces Associated with Operators and Their Applications

Let $\mathcal{X}$ be a metric space with doubling measure and L a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in $L^{2}(\mathcal{X})$ satisfying the Davies–Gaffney estimates. Let $\varphi:\mathcal{X}\times[0,\infty)\to[0,\infty)$ be a function such that φ(x,?) is an Orlicz function, $\varphi(\cdot,t)\in\mathbb{A}_{\infty}(\mathcal{X})$ (the class of uniformly Muckenhoupt weights), its uniformly critical upper type index I(φ)∈(0,1], and it satisfies the uniformly reverse Hölder inequality of order 2/[2?I(φ)]. In this paper, the authors introduce a Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , by the Lusin area function associated with the heat semigroup generated by L, and a Musielak–Orlicz BMO-type space $\mathrm{BMO}_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , which is further proved to be the dual space of $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ and hence whose φ-Carleson measure characterization is deduced. Characterizations of $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ , including the atom, the molecule, and the Lusin area function associated with the Poisson semigroup of L, are presented. Using the atomic characterization, the authors characterize $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ in terms of the Littlewood–Paley $g^{\ast}_{\lambda}$ -function $g^{\ast}_{\lambda,L}$ and establish a Hörmander-type spectral multiplier theorem for L on $H_{\varphi,L}(\mathcal{X})$ . Moreover, for the Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space H _φ,L (? ⁿ ) associated with the Schrödinger operator L:=?Δ+V, where $0\le V\in L^{1}_{\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ , the authors obtain its several equivalent characterizations in terms of the non-tangential maximal function, the radial maximal function, the atom, and the molecule; finally, the authors show that the Riesz transform ?L ^?1/2 is bounded from H _φ,L (? ⁿ ) to the Musielak–Orlicz space L ^φ (? ⁿ ) when i(φ)∈(0,1], and from H _φ,L (? ⁿ ) to the Musielak–Orlicz–Hardy space H _φ (? ⁿ ) when $i(\varphi)\in(\frac{n}{n+1},1]$ , where i(φ) denotes the uniformly critical lower type index of φ.     

Some Inequalities Related to Transience and Recurrence of Markov Processes and Their Applications

For an irreducible symmetric Markov process on a (not necessarily compact) state space associated with a symmetric Dirichlet form, we give Poincaré-type inequalities. As an application of the inequalities, we consider a time-inhomogeneous diffusion process obtained by a time-dependent drift transformation from a diffusion process and give general conditions for the transience or recurrence of some sets. As a particular case, the diffusion process appearing in the theory of simulated annealing is considered.

Some Properties of an Operator on L^∞（△） and Its Applications

In this paper, we introduce an operator Hμ（z） on L^∞（△） and obtain some of its properties. Some applications of this operator to the extremal problem of quasiconformal mappings are given. In particular, a sufficient condition for a point r in the universal Teichmfiller space T（△） to be a Strebel point is obtained.     

Some Properties of Artin-Rees Modules and Rings

The class of Artin-Rees modules is large.It contains modules satisfying (accr).In this paper, we investigate such modules and show that some properties of modules satisfying (accr) can be generalized to modules of this class.     

Some Properties of M-Matrices

Recently, Markham has proved the following property of M-matrices. Theorem A Suppose A is an M-matrix with the property that for some positive integer p, A~p=L, where L is a lower-triangular matrix. Then A is a lower-triangular matrix. Clearly Theorem A is also true for an upper-triangular matrix. The purpose of this note is to generalize Theorem A to a block upper triangular matrix. If A is a real square matrix with nonpositive off-diagonal elements, each of the following is a necessary and sufficient condition for A to be an M-matrix.

Isomorphic Properties of One Class of Differential Operators and Their Applications

We consider a special class of quasielliptic matrix operators and establish isomorphic properties of these operators in special scales of weighted Sobolev spaces. We give an example of application of these results to systems of differential equations that are not solved with respect to the derivative.     

Algebraic Properties of Subdivision Operators with Matrix Mask and Their Applications

Subdivision operators play an important role in wavelet analysis. This paper studies the algebraic properties of subdivision operators with matrix mask, especially their action on polynomial sequences and on some of their invariant subspaces. As an application, we characterize, under a mild condition, the approximation order provided by refinable vectors in terms of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of polynomial sequences of the associated subdivision operator. Moreover, some necessary conditions, in terms of nondegeneracy and simplicity of eigenvalues of a matrix related to the subdivision operator for the refinable vector to be smooth are given. The main results are new even in the scalar case

By using the cone theory and the monotone succession skills,it is studied the existence uniqueness of fixed point for a class of increasing operators without continuity and compactness and concave or convex conditions in Banach spaces.The results presented here improve and generalize some corresponding results for increasing operator.
