Reactions between the Os(VI)-nitrido complexes cis- and trans-[Os(VI)(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+ (tpy is 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine) and triphenylphosphine sulfide, SPPh3, give the corresponding Os(IV)-phosphoraniminato, [Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)]+, and Os(II)-thionitrosyl, [Os(II)(tpy)(Cl)2(NS)]+, complexes as products. The Os-N bond length and Os-N-P angle in cis-[Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)](PF6) are 2.077(6) A and 138.4(4) degrees. The rate law for formation of cis- and trans-[Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)]+ is first order in both [Os(VI)(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+ and SPPh3 with ktrans(25 degrees C, CH3CN) = 24.6 +/- 0.6 M(-1) s(-1) and kcis(25 degrees C, CH3CN) = 0.84 +/- 0.09 M(-1) s(-1). As found earlier for [Os(II)(tpm)(Cl)2(NS)]+, both cis- and trans-[Os(II)(tpy)(Cl)2(NS)]+ react with PPh3 to give [Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)]+ and SPPh3. For both complexes, the reaction is first order in each reagent with ktrans(25 degrees C, CH3CN) = (6.79 +/- 0.08) x 10(2) M(-1) s(-1) and kcis(25 degrees C, CH3CN) = (2.30 +/- 0.07) x 10(2) M(-1) s(-1). The fact that both reactions occur rules out mechanisms involving S atom transfer. These results can be explained by invoking a common intermediate, [Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NSPPh3)]+, which undergoes further reaction with PPh3 to give [Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)]+ and SPPh3 or with [Os(VI)(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+ to give [Os(IV)(tpy)(Cl)2(NPPh3)]+ and [Os(II)(tpy)(Cl)2(NS)]+.  相似文献

We have examined the redox behavior of the osmium and ruthenium compounds (OEP)M(NO)(OEt) and (OEP)M(NO)(SEt) (OEP = octaethylporphyrinato dianion; M = Os, Ru) by cyclic voltammetry and infrared spectroelectrochemistry. The compound (OEP)Os(NO)(OEt) undergoes a single reversible oxidation process in dichloromethane. In contrast, the thiolate compound (OEP)Os(NO)(SEt) undergoes a net irreversible oxidation resulting in formal loss of the SEt ligand. Extended Hückel calculations on crystal structures of these two compounds provide insight into the nature of their HOMOs. In the case of the alkoxide compound, the HOMO is largely metal centered, with 70% of the charge located in the metal's orbital and approximately 25% on the porphyrin ring. However, the HOMO of the thiolate compound consists of a pi bonding interaction between the metal dxz orbital and the px orbital on the sulfur, and a pi antibonding interaction between the metal d orbital and a pi* orbital on NO. The redox behavior of the Ru analogues have been determined, and are compared with those of the Os compounds.  相似文献

Coordinatively unsaturated diruthenium complexes, [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru(mu2-iPrNC(Me)=NiPr)Ru(eta5-C5Me5)]+, of which crystallography revealed structures bearing a bridging amidinate ligand perpendicular to the Ru-Ru axis, were synthesized by anion exchange of [(eta5-C3Me5(Ru(mu2-iPrNC(Me)=NiPr)Ru(eta5-C5Me5)]+ Br- by weakly coordinating anions. Variable-temperature NMR showed rapid motion of the bridging amidinate ligand. The coordinatively unsaturated nature of the cationic complexes provides their high reactivity toward a series of two electron donor ligands. Oxidative addition of molecular hydrogen occurred to give [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru(mu2-iPrNC(Me)=NiPr)(mu-H)Ru(eta5-C5Me5)(H)]+, which was isolated and characterized.  相似文献

Four new Fe(III) catecholate complexes, [(bispicMe2en)FeIII(DBC)]+, [(bispicCl2Me2en)FeIII(DBC)]+, [(trispicMeen)FeIII(DBC)]+, and [(BQPA)FeIII(DBC)]+, which all contain aminopyridine ligands, were synthesized. The structure of [(bispicMe2en)FeIII(DBC)]+ was determined by X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 10.666(3) A, b = 13.467(5) A, c = 17.685(2) A, alpha = 93.46(2) degrees, beta = 93.68(2) degrees, gamma = 109.0(3) degrees, V = 2387.4 A3, and Z = 2. All of these complexes were found to be active toward oxidation of catechol by O2 in DMF at 20 degrees C to afford intradiol cleavage products. The catechol was quantitatively oxidized, mainly (90%) into 3,5-di-tert-butyl-5-(carboxymethyl)-2-furanone. Reaction rates were measured, and for the first three (topologically similar) complexes, a correlation of the second-order kinetic constants k with the optical parameters of the two LMCT O(DBC)-->Fe(III) bands was found. In particular, k increases with the epsilon max of the charge-transfer bands. The k value of the complex [(BQPA)FeIII(DBC)]+, containing a tripodal ligand, is smaller than expected on the basis of these correlations. This discrepancy could be related to steric hindrance induced by the BQPA ligand. However, the much lower activity of the bispicen-Fe(III)-type complexes compared to that of the [(TPA)FeIII(DBC)]+ complex synthesized by Jang et al. (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1991, 113, 9200-9204), despite similar epsilon max values, shows that a knowledge of optical and NMR parameters values is not sufficient to explain the dioxygenase activity rate. In their study of protocatechuate 3,4-dioxygenase, Orville et al. (Biochemistry 1997, 36, 10052-10066) suggested that asymmetric chelation of the catecholate to Fe(III) is of great importance in the efficiency of the intradiol dioxygenase reaction. Indeed, a comparison of the X-ray structures of [(TPA)FeIII(DBC)]+ and [(bispicMe2en)FeIII(DBC)]+ shows that the Fe(III)-O bonds differ by 0.019 A in the former and are identical in the latter. Asymmetry could also play a role in the model complexes. An alternative explanation is the possible existence of a low-spin state for [(TPA)FeIII(DBC)]+, as recently identified in [(TPA)FeIII(cat)]+ by Simaan et al.  相似文献

There is a remarkable redox chemistry of higher oxidation state M(IV)-M(VI) polypyridyl complexes of Ru and Os. They are accessible by proton loss and formation of oxo or nitrido ligands, examples being cis-[RuIV(bpy)2(py)(O)]2+ (RuIV=O2+, bpy=2,2'-bipyridine, and py=pyridine) and trans-[OsVI(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+ (tpy=2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine). Metal-oxo or metal-nitrido multiple bonding stabilizes the higher oxidation states and greatly influences reactivity. O-atom transfer, hydride transfer, epoxidation, C-H insertion, and proton-coupled electron-transfer mechanisms have been identified in the oxidation of organics by RuIV=O2+. The Ru-O multiple bond inhibits electron transfer and promotes complex mechanisms. Both O atoms can be used for O-atom transfer by trans-[RuVI(tpy)(O)2(S)]2+ (S=CH3CN or H2O). Four-electron, four-proton oxidation of cis,cis-[(bpy)2(H2O)RuIII-O-RuIII(H2O)(bpy)2]4+ occurs to give cis,cis-[(bpy)2(O)RuV-O-RuV(O)(bpy)2]4+ which rapidly evolves O2. Oxidation of NH3 in trans-[OsII(tpy)(Cl)2(NH3)] gives trans-[OsVI(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+ through a series of one-electron intermediates. It and related nitrido complexes undergo formal N- transfer analogous to O-atom transfer by RuIV=O2+. With secondary amines, the products are the hydrazido complexes, cis- and trans-[OsV(L3)(Cl)2(NNR2)]+ (L3=tpy or tpm and NR2-=morpholide, piperidide, or diethylamide). Reactions with aryl thiols and secondary phosphines give the analogous adducts cis- and trans-[OsIV(tpy)(Cl)2(NS(H)(C6H4Me))]+ and fac-[OsIV(Tp)(Cl)2(NP(H)(Et2))]. In dry CH3CN, all have an extensive multiple oxidation state chemistry based on couples from Os(VI/V) to Os(III/II). In acidic solution, the OsIV adducts are protonated, e.g., trans-[OsIV(tpy)(Cl)2(N(H)N(CH2)4O)]+, and undergo proton-coupled electron transfer to quinone to give OsV, e.g., trans-[OsV(tpy)(Cl)2(NN(CH2)4O)]+ and hydroquinone. These reactions occur with giant H/D kinetic isotope effects of up to 421 based on O-H, N-H, S-H, or P-H bonds. Reaction with azide ion has provided the first example of the terminal N4(2-) ligand in mer-[OsIV(bpy)(Cl)3(NalphaNbetaNgammaNdelta)]-. With CN-, the adduct mer-[OsIV(bpy)(Cl)3(NCN)]- has an extensive, reversible redox chemistry and undergoes NCN(2-) transfer to PPh3 and olefins. Coordination to Os also promotes ligand-based reactivity. The sulfoximido complex trans-[OsIV(tpy)(Cl)2(NS(O)-p-C6H4Me)] undergoes loss of O2 with added acid and O-atom transfer to trans-stilbene and PPh3. There is a reversible two-electron/two-proton, ligand-based acetonitrilo/imino couple in cis-[OsIV(tpy)(NCCH3)(Cl)(p-NSC6H4Me)]+. It undergoes reversible reactions with aldehydes and ketones to give the corresponding alcohols.  相似文献

Diiron complexes [{(micro-SCH2)2NCH2C6H4X}{Fe(CO)2L}2] (L = CO, X = 2-Br, 1; 2-F, 2; 3-Br, 3; L = PMe(3), X = 2-Br, 4) were prepared as biomimetic models of the iron-only hydrogenase active site. The N-protonated species [(NH)]+ClO(4)(-), [(NH)](+)ClO(4)(-) and the micro-hydride diiron complex [4(FeHFe)]+PF(6)(-) were obtained in the presence of proton acids and well characterized. The protonation process of 4 was studied by in-situ IR and NMR spectroscopy, which suggests the formation of the diprotonated species [4(NH)(FeHFe)](2+) in the presence of an excess of proton acid. The molecular structures of 1, [(NH)]+ClO(4)(-), 4 and [4(FeHFe)]+PF(6)(-) were determined by X-ray crystallography. The single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that an intramolecular H...Br contact (2.82 A) in the crystalline state of [1(NH)]+ClO(4)(-). In the presence of 1-6 equiv of the stronger acid HOTf, complex 1 is readily protonated on the bridged-N atom and can electrochemically catalyze the proton reduction at a relatively mild potential (ca.-1.0 V). Complex 4 is also electrocatalytic active at -1.4 V in the presence of HOTf with formation of the micro-hydride diiron species.  相似文献

Experimental and computational studies on a series of cationic molybdenocene trihydride complexes, namely [Cp(2)MoH(3)]+, [(Cp(Bu)t)(2)MoH(3)]+, [Cp(2)MoH(3)]+, and ([Me(2)Si(C(5)Me(4))(2)]MoH(3))+, demonstrate that the most stable form for the ansa molybdenocene derivative is a nonclassical dihydrogen-hydride isomer, ([Me(2)Si(C(5)Me(4))(2)]Mo(eta(2)-H(2))(H))+, whereas the stable forms for the non-ansa complexes are classical trihydrides, [Cp(2)Mo(H)(3)]+, [(Cp(Bu)t)(2)Mo(H)(3)]+, and [Cp(2)Mo(H)(3)]+. In addition to altering the classical versus nonclassical nature of [Cp(2)MoH(3)]+ and ([Me(2)Si(C(5)Me(4))(2)]Mo(eta(2)-H(2))(H))+, the [Me(2)Si] ansa bridge also markedly influences the stability of the complex with respect to elimination of H(2) and dissociation of H+. Finally, computational studies on ([H(2)Si(C(5)H(4))(2)]MoH(2)D)+ and ([H(2)Si(C(5)H(4))(2)]MoHD(2))+ establish that deuterium exhibits a greater preference than hydrogen to occupy dihydrogen versus hydride sites.  相似文献

The complexes [(H3N)5Ru(II)(mu-NC)Mn(I)Lx]2+, prepared from [Ru(OH2)(NH3)5]2+ and [Mn(CN)L(x)] {L(x) = trans-(CO)2{P(OPh)3}(dppm); cis-(CO)2(PR3)(dppm), R = OEt or OPh; (PR3)(NO)(eta-C5H4Me), R = Ph or OPh}, undergo two sequential one-electron oxidations, the first at the ruthenium centre to give [(H3N)5Ru(III)(mu-NC)Mn(I)Lx]3+; the osmium(III) analogues [(H3N)5Os(III)(mu-NC)Mn(I)Lx]3+ were prepared directly from [Os(NH3)5(O3SCF3)]2+ and [Mn(CN)Lx]. Cyclic voltammetry and electronic spectroscopy show that the strong solvatochromism of the trications depends on the hydrogen-bond accepting properties of the solvent. Extensive hydrogen bonding is also observed in the crystal structures of [(H3N)5Ru(III)(mu-NC)Mn(I)(PPh3)(NO)(eta-C5H4Me)][PF6]3.2Me2CO.1.5Et2O, [(H3N)5Ru(III)(mu-NC)Mn(I)(CO)(dppm)2-trans][PF6]3.5Me2CO and [(H3N)5Ru(III)(mu-NC)Mn(I)(CO)2{P(OEt)3}(dppm)-trans][PF6]3.4Me2CO, between the amine groups (the H-bond donors) at the Ru(III) site and the oxygen atoms of solvent molecules or the fluorine atoms of the [PF6]- counterions (the H-bond acceptors).  相似文献

Bismuth(III) compounds containing the Kl?ui's oxygen tripodal ligand [CpCo{P(O)(OEt)(2)}(3)](-) (L(OEt)(-)) have been synthesized, and their interactions with dichromate in aqueous media were studied. The treatment of Bi(5)O(OH)(9)(NO(3))(4) with NaL(OEt) in water afforded [L(OEt)Bi(NO(3))(2)](2) (1), whereas that of BiCl(3) with NaL(OEt) in CH(2)Cl(2) yielded L(OEt)BiCl(2) (2). Chloride abstraction of 2 with AgX afforded [L(OEt)BiX(2)](2) [X(-) = triflate (OTf(-)) (3), tosylate (OTs(-)) (4)]. In aqueous solutions at pH > 4, 4 underwent ligand redistribution to give the bis(tripod) complex [(L(OEt))(2)Bi(H(2)O)][OTs] (5). The treatment of 4 with Na(2)Cr(2)O(7) in acetone/water afforded the Bi(III)/Cr(VI) oxo cluster [(L(OEt))(4)Bi(4)(μ(3)-CrO(4))(2)(μ(3)-Cr(2)O(7))(2)] (6) containing a unique Bi(4)Cr(4)O(12) oxometallic core. Compound 6 oxidized benzyl alcohol to give ca. 6 equiv of benzaldehyde. The reaction between 2 and CrO(3) yielded [L(OEt)Bi(OCrO(2)Cl)](2)(μ-Cl)(2) (7). The crystal structures of complexes 4-7 have been determined.  相似文献

The oxidations of cis- and trans-[OsIII(tpy)(Cl)2(NH3)](PF6), cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)(NH3)](PF6), and [OsII(typ)(bpy)(NH3)](PF6)2 have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and by controlled-potential electrolysis. In acetonitrile or in acidic, aqueous solution, oxidation is metal-based and reversible, but as the pH is increased, oxidation and proton loss from coordinated ammonia occurs. cis- and trans-[OsIII(tpy)(Cl)2(NH3)](PF6) are oxidized by four electrons to give the corresponding OsVI nitrido complexes, [OSVI(typ)(Cl)2(N)]+. Oxidation of [Os(typ)(bpy)(NH3)](PF6)2 occurs by six electrons to give [Os(tpy)(bpy)(NO)](PF6)3. Oxidation of cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)(NH3)](PF6) at pH 9.0 gives cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)(NO)](PF6)2 and the mixed-valence form of the mu-N2 dimer [cis-[Os(bpy)2(Cl)2[mu-N2)](PF6)3. With NH4+ added to the electrolyte, cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)(N2)](PF6) is a coproduct. The results of pH-dependent cyclic voltammetry measurements suggest OsIV as a common intermediate in the oxidation of coordinated ammonia. For cis- and trans-[OsIII(tpy)(Cl)2(NH3)]+, OsIV is a discernible intermediate. It undergoes further pH-dependent oxidation to [OsVI(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]+. For [OsII(tpy)(bpy)(NH3)]2+, oxidation to OsIV is followed by hydration at the nitrogen atom and further oxidation to nitrosyl. For cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)-(NH3)]+, oxidation to OsIV is followed by N-N coupling and further oxidation to [cis-[Os(bpy)2(Cl)2(mu-N2)]3+. At pH 9, N-N coupling is competitive with capture of OsIV by OH- and further oxidation, yielding cis-[OsII(bpy)2(Cl)(NO)]2+.  相似文献

Photochemical ligand substitution of fac-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)3(PR3)]+ (X2bpy = 4,4'-X2-2,2'-bipyridine; X = Me, H, CF3; R = OEt, Ph) with acetonitrile quantitatively gave a new class of biscarbonyl complexes, cis,trans[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(MeCN)]+, coordinated with four different kinds of ligands. Similarly, other biscarbonylrhenium complexes, cis,trans-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(Y)]n+ (n = 0, Y = Cl-; n = 1, Y = pyridine, PR'3), were synthesized in good yields via photochemical ligand substitution reactions. The structure of cis,trans-[Re(Me2bpy)(CO)2[P(OEt)3](PPh3)](PF6) was determined by X-ray analysis. Crystal data: C38H42N2O5F6P3Re, monoclinic, P2(1/a), a = 11.592(1) A, b = 30.953(4) A, c = 11.799(2) A, V = 4221.6(1) A3, Z = 4, 7813 reflections, R = 0.066. The biscarbonyl complexes with two phosphorus ligands were strongly emissive from their 3MLCT state with lifetimes of 20-640 ns in fluid solutions at room temperature. Only weak or no emission was observed in the cases Y = Cl-, MeCN, and pyridine. Electrochemical reduction of the biscarbonyl complexes with Y = Cl- and pyridine in MeCN resulted in efficient ligand substitution to give the solvento complexes cis,trans-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(MeCN)]+.  相似文献

Thiacalix[3]pyridine (Py3S3) reacted with [Rh(diene)(mu-Cl)]2(diene = 1,5-cyclooctadiene (cod), 2,5-norbornadiene (nbd)) to give amphiphilic trigonal bipyramidal complexes, [Rh(Py3S3)(diene)]Cl. Sulfur bridges of the Py3S3 ligand in these complexes were selectively oxygenated by m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid in dichloromethane to give sulfinylcalix[3]pyridine complexes, [Rh(Py3(SO)3)(diene)]+, in which all three oxygen atoms of the SO groups occupy the equatorial positions. Structures of the complexes were analysed by X-ray crystallography and the oxidation reaction was investigated using 1H NMR spectroscopy and electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry showing that the oxygenation of the sulfur atoms in the ligand proceeded stepwise and further oxygenation of the SO moiety occurred only for the nbd complex having the smaller diene ligand resulting in [Rh(Py3(SO)2(SO2))(nbd)]+. On the other hand, the oxidation of [Rh(Py3S3)(cod)]+ by H2O2 in water did not result in oxygenation of the sulfur bridges but the cod ligand is hydroxygenated to give 1,4,5,6-eta4-2-hydroxycycloocta-4-ene-1,6-di-yl.  相似文献

Treatment of titanyl sulfate in dilute sulfuric acid with 1 equiv of NaL(OEt) (L(OEt)(-) = [(eta(5)-C(5)H(5))Co{P(O)(OEt)(2)](3)](-)) in the presence of Na(3)PO(4) and Na(4)P(2)O(7) led to isolation of [(L(OEt)Ti)(3)(mu-O)(3)(mu(3-)PO(4))] (1) and [(L(OEt)Ti)(2)(mu-O)(mu-P(2)O(7))] (2), respectively. The structure of 1 consists of a Ti(3)O(3) core capped by a mu(3)-phosphato group. In 2, the [P(2)O(7)](4-) ligands binds to the two Ti's in a mu:eta(2),eta(2) fashion. Treatment of titanyl sulfate in dilute sulfuric acid with NaL(OEt) and 1.5 equiv of Na(2)Cr(2)O(7) gave [(L(OEt)Ti)(2)(mu-CrO(4))(3)] (3) that contains two L(OEt)Ti(3+) fragments bridged by three mu-CrO(4)(2-)-O,O' ligands. Complex 3 can act as a 6-electron oxidant and oxidize benzyl alcohol to give ca. 3 equiv of benzaldehyde. Treatment of [L(OEt)Ti(OTf)(3)] (OTf(-) = triflate) with [n-Bu(4)N][ReO(4)] afforded [[L(OEt)Ti(ReO(4))(2)](2)(mu-O)] (4). Treatment of [L(OEt)MF(3)] (M = Ti and Zr) with 3 equiv of [ReO(3)(OSiMe(3))] afforded [L(OEt)Ti(ReO(4))(3)] (5) and [L(OEt)Zr(ReO(4))(3)(H(2)O)] (6), respectively. Treatment of [L(OEt)MF(3)] with 2 equiv of [ReO(3)(OSiMe(3))] afforded [L(OEt)Ti(ReO(4))(2)F] (7) and [[L(OEt)Zr(ReO(4))(2)](2)(mu-F)(2)] (8), respectively, which reacted with Me(3)SiOTf to give [L(OEt)M(ReO(4))(2)(OTf)] (M = Ti (9), Zr (10)). Hydrolysis of [L(OEt)Zr(OTf)(3)] (11) with Na(2)WO(4).xH(2)O and wet CH(2)Cl(2) afforded the hydroxo-bridged complexes [[L(OEt)Zr(H(2)O)](3)(mu-OH)(3)(mu(3)-O)][OTf](4) (12) and [[L(OEt)Zr(H(2)O)(2)](2)(mu-OH)(2)][OTf](4) (13), respectively. The solid-state structures of 1-3, 6, and 11-13 have been established by X-ray crystallography. The L(OEt)Ti(IV) complexes can catalyze oxidation of methyl p-tolyl sulfide with tert-butyl hydroperoxide. The bimetallic Ti/ Re complexes 5 and 9 were found to be more active catalysts for the sulfide oxidation than other Ti(IV) complexes presumably because Re alkylperoxo species are involved as the reactive intermediates.  相似文献

A new cyanide-bridged bimetallic assembly [Mn(3-meosalpn)(H2O)]2[Fe(CN)5NO](1) was obtained by the reaction of [Fe(CN)5NO]2-with [Mn(3-meosalpn)]+,and characterized by elemental analysis,IR and single-crystal X-ray structure analysis.The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a = 12.992(5),b = 13.274(6),c = 14.644(6) ,β = 115.198(4)o,V = 2285.2(16)3,Z = 2,C43H44FeMn2N10O11,Mr = 1042.61,Dc = 1.515 g/cm3,F(000) = 1072,μ = 0.928 mm-1,S = 1.052,the final R = 0.0347 and wR = 0.0957 for 17377 observed reflections(Ⅰ 2σ(Ⅰ)).X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis reveals that 1 has a trinuclear molecular structure,in which the two [Mn(3-meosalpn)(H2O)]+ cations are linked by the central [Fe(CN)5NO]2-anion via two trans CN-groups.Furthermore,the two [Mn(3-meo-salpn)(H2O)]+ cations and [Fe(CN)5NO]2-anion are connected into a one-dimensional zigzag chain through hydrogen bonding interactions.  相似文献

New cationic, square-planar, ethene complexes [(Rbpa)RhI(C2H4)]+ [2a]--[2c]+ (Rbpa = N-alkyl-N,N-di(2-pyridylmethyl)amine; [2a]+: alkyl =R=Me; [2b]+: R = Bu; [2c]+: R = Bz) have been selectively oxygenated in acetonitrile by aqueous hydrogen peroxide to 2-rhoda(III)oxetanes with a labile acetonitrile ligand, [(Rbpa)RhIII(kappa2-C,O-CH2CH2O-)(MeCN)]+, [3a]+-[3c]+. The rate of elimination of acetaldehyde from [(Rbpa)RhIII(kappa2-C,O-CH2CH2O-)(MeCN)]+ increases in the order R = Me< R = Bu< R = Bz. Elimination of acetaldehyde from [(Bzbpa)RhIII(kappa2-C,O-CH2CH2O)(MeCN)]+ [3c]+, in the presence of ethene results in regeneration of ethene complex [(Bzbpa)RhI(C2H4)]+ [2c]+, and closes a catalytic cycle. In the presence of Z,Z-1,5-cyclooctadiene (cod) the corresponding cod complex [(Bzbpa)RhI(cod)]+ [6c]+ is formed. Further oxidation of [3c]+ by H2O2 results in the transient formylmethyl-hydroxy complex [(Bzbpa)RhIII(OH)[kappa1-C-CH2C(O)H]]+ [5c]+.  相似文献

Treatment of [N(n)Bu(4)][Os(VI)(N)Cl(4)] with a stoichiometric amount of H(2)L (L = N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-o-cyclohexylenediamine dianion) in the presence of PF(6)(-) or ClO(4)(-) in MeOH affords [Os(VI)(N)(L)(OH(2))](PF(6)) 1a and [Os(VI)(N)(L)(CH(3)OH)](ClO(4)) 1b, respectively. The structure of 1b has been determined by X-ray crystallography and the Os≡N bond distance is 1.627(3) ?. In the presence of a N-donor heterocyclic ligand in CH(3)CN, 1a reacts at room temperature to afford the mixed-valence μ-N(2) (salen)osmium species [(X)(L)Os(III)-N≡N-Os(II)(L)(X)](PF(6)), 2-14 (X = py 2; 4-Mepy 3; 4-(t)Bupy 4; pz 5; 3-Mepz 6; 3,5-Me(2)pz 7; Im 8; 1-MeIm 9; 2-MeIm 10; 4-MeIm 11; 1,2-Me(2)Im 12; 2-Meozl 13; 4-MeTz 14). These complexes are formed by ligand-induced N···N coupling of two [Os(VI)≡N](+) to give initially [Os(III)-N(2)-Os(III)](2+), which is then reduced to give the more stable mixed-valence species [Os(III)-N(2)-Os(II)](+). Cyclic voltammograms (CVs) of 2-14 show two reversible couples, attributed to Os(III,III)/Os(III,II) and Os(III,II)/Os(II,II). The large comproportionation constants (K(com)) of (5.36-82.3) × 10(13) indicate charge delocalization in these complexes. The structures of 3 and 14 have been determined by X-ray crystallography, the salen ligands are in uncommon cis-β configuration. Oxidations of 4 and 14 by [Cp(2)Fe](PF(6)) afford the symmetrical species [(X)(L)Os(III)-N≡N-Os(III)(L)(X)](PF(6))(2) (X = 4-(t)Bupy 15; 4-MeTz 16). Treatment of the acetylene-coordinated tetrairon cluster, [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(HCCH)2]+, with N-bromosuccinimide led to stepwise bromination of two acetylene ligands to form [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(HCCBr)(HCCH)]+, [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(HCCBr)2]+, [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(BrCCBr)(HCCBr)]+, and [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(BrCCBr)2]+. The reactivity of the bromoacetylene fragment in [(eta5-C5H4Me)4Fe4(HCCBr)(HCCH)]+ toward water, pyridine, and ZnMe2 was also investigated.  相似文献

The electron-transfer oxidation and subsequent cobalt-carbon bond cleavage of vitamin B12 model complexes were investigated using cobaloximes, (DH)2Co(III)(R)(L), where DH- = the anion of dimethylglyoxime, R = Me, Et, Ph, PhCH2, and PhCH(CH3), and L = a substituted pyridine, as coenzyme B12 model complexes and [Fe(bpy)3](PF6)3 or [Ru(bpy)3](PF6)3 (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) as a one-electron oxidant. The rapid one-electron oxidation of (DH)2Co(III)(Me)(py) (py = pyridine) with the oxidant gives the corresponding Co(IV) complexes, [(DH)2Co(IV)(Me)(py)]+, which were well identified by the ESR spectra. The reorganization energy (lambda) for the electron-transfer oxidation of (DH)2Co(Me)(py) was determined from the ESR line broadening of [(DH)2Co(Me)(py)]+ caused by the electron exchange with (DH)2Co(Me)(py). The lambda value is applied to evaluate the rate constants of photoinduced electron transfer from (DH)2Co(Me)(py) to photosensitizers in light of the Marcus theory of electron transfer. The Co(IV)-C bond cleavage of [(DH)2Co(Me)(py)]+ is accelerated significantly by the reaction with a base. The overall activation energy for the second-order rate constants of Co(IV)-C bond cleavage of [(DH)2Co(IV)(Me)(py)]+ in the presence of a base is decreased by charge-transfer complex formation with a base, which leads to a negative activation energy for the Co(IV)-C cleavage when either 2-methoxypyridine or 2,6-dimethoxypyridine is used as the base.  相似文献

Experimental and computational results for different ruthenium nitrosyl porphyrin complexes [(Por)Ru(NO)(X)] ( n+ ) (where Por (2-) = tetraphenylporphyrin dianion (TPP (2 (-) )) or octaethylporphyrin dianion (OEP (2-)) and X = H 2O ( n = 1, 2, 3) or pyridine, 4-cyanopyridine, or 4- N,N-dimethylaminopyridine ( n = 1, 0)) are reported with respect to their electron-transfer behavior. The structure of [(TPP)Ru(NO)(H 2O)]BF 4 is established as an {MNO} species with an almost-linear RuNO arrangement at 178.1(3) degrees . The compound [(Por)Ru(NO)(H 2O)]BF 4 undergoes two reversible one-electron oxidation processes. Spectroelectrochemical measurements (IR, UV-vis-NIR, and EPR) indicate that the first oxidation occurs on the porphyrin ring, as evident from the appearance of diagnostic porphyrin radical-anion vibrational bands (1530 cm (-1) for OEP (*-) and 1290 cm (-1) for TPP (*-)), from the small shift of approximately 20 cm (-1) for nu NO and from the EPR signal at g iso approximately 2.00. The second oxidation, which was found to be electrochemically reversible for the OEP compound, shows a 55 cm (-1) shift in nu NO, suggesting a partially metal-centered process. The compounds [(Por)Ru(NO)(X)]BF 4, where X = pyridines, undergo a reversible one-electron reduction. The site of the reduction was determined by spectroelectrochemical studies to be NO-centered with a ca. -300 cm (-1) shift in nu NO. The EPR response of the NO (*) complexes was essentially unaffected by the variation in the substituted pyridines X. DFT calculations support the interpretation of the experimental results because the HOMO of [(TPP)Ru(NO)(X)] (+), where X = H 2O or pyridines, was calculated to be centered at the porphyrin pi system, whereas the LUMO of [(TPP)Ru(NO)(X)] (+) has about 50% pi*(NO) character. This confirms that the (first) oxidation of [(Por)Ru(NO)(H 2O)] (+) occurs on the porphyrin ring wheras the reduction of [(Por)Ru(NO)(X)] (+) is largely NO-centered with the metal remaining in the low-spin ruthenium(II) state throughout. The 4% pyridine contribution to the LUMO of [(TPP)Ru(NO)(py)] (+) is correlated with the stability of the reduced form as opposed to that of the aqua complex.  相似文献

Treatment of [n-Bu4N][Ru(N)Cl4] with [AgL(OEt)] (L(OEt)- = [(eta5-C5H5)Co{P(O)(OEt)2}3]-) afforded the ruthenium(VI) nitrido complex [L(OEt)Ru(N)Cl2] (1), which reacted with PPh3 to give the ruthenium(IV) phosphiniminato complex [L(OEt)Ru(NPPh3)Cl2] (2). The cyclic voltammogram of 2 displays the RuIV/III couple at ca. 0 V vs ferrocenium/ferrocene. Treatment of 1 with Me3NO afforded [LOEtRu(NO)Cl2] (3), which reacted with Ag(OTf) (OTf- = triflate) to give the chloro-bridged tetranuclear ruthenium/silver complex [L(OEt)Ru(NO)Cl2]2[Ag(OTf)]2 (4). Treatment of 1 with Na2S2O3 gave the thionitrosyl complex [L(OEt)Ru(NS)Cl2] (5). The solid-state structures of 1-4 have been established by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献
