We present a measurement of CP-violating asymmetries in B0-->pi(+)pi(-) decays based on a 41.8 fb(-1) data sample collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We fully reconstruct one neutral B meson as a B0-->pi(+)pi(-) CP eigenstate and identify the flavor of the accompanying B meson from its decay products. From the asymmetry in the distribution of the time intervals between the two B meson decay points, we obtain the CP-violating asymmetry parameters S(pipi)=-1.21(+0.38)(-0.27)(stat)+0.16-0.13(syst) and A(pipi)=+0.94(+0.25)(-0.31)(stat)+/-0.09(syst).  相似文献

We present updated measurements of the CP-violating parameters Spipi and Cpipi in B0-->pi+pi- decays. Using a sample of 227x10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->BB decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider at SLAC, we observe 467+/-33 signal decays and measure Spipi=-0.30+/-0.17(stat)+/-0.03(syst) and Cpipi=-0.09+/-0.15(stat)+/-0.04(syst).  相似文献

Using experimental results on |V ub /V cb |, (K0), (B0) and two experimental limits onm t , and assuming that these five observations are fully described by standard physics, we determine values and errors for the two CKM matrix parameters and with a maximum-likelihood fit. We construct phase diagrams of two-flavor quark matter under compact star constraints for two nonlocal, covariant quark models (instanton liquid and one-gluon exchange (OGE) inspired) within the mean field approximation and compare the results for different diquark coupling strengths. From an analysis of the decay Bs0-->J/psi phi, we obtain the width difference between the light and heavy mass eigenstates DeltaGamma identical with (GammaL-GammaH)=0.17+/-0.09(stat)+/-0.02(syst) ps-1 and the CP-violating phase phis=-0.79+/-0.56(stat)(-0.01)(+0.14)(syst). Under the hypothesis of no CP violation (phis identical with 0), we obtain 1/Gamma=tau(Bs0)=1.52+/-0.08(stat)(-0.03)(+0.01)(syst) ps and DeltaGamma=0.12(-0.10)(+0.08)(stat)+/-0.02(syst) ps-1. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of about 1.1 fb-1 accumulated with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. This is the first direct measurement of the CP-violating mixing phase in the Bs0 system.  相似文献

We investigate the Kondo effect in a Weyl metal state, which occurs from a spin-orbit coupled Dirac metal phase under magnetic fields. We start from an effective field theory in terms of low-energy fermions on a pair of chiral Fermi surfaces, which takes into account both the Berry curvature and chiral anomaly. Resorting to the U(1) slave-boson mean-field theory, we find that the effective Kondo temperature increases monotonically as a function of the external magnetic field due to enhancement of the density of states. The enhancement is originated from the chiral magnetic effect which is novel feature of Weyl metals. This leads to the prediction of the magnetic-field dependence in the logarithmic temperature dependence of the longitudinal magnetoconductivity.  相似文献
