The measurements of the metrological characteristics (amplitude, width, and shift in the magnetic field) of the dark pseudoresonance, which was proposed by Kazakov et al. [quant-ph/0506167] as the reference resonance for an atomic frequency standard, are reported. It has been shown that the characteristics of the pseudoresonance are worse than those of the unsplit electromagnetically induced transparency resonance for the excitation scheme with the lin‖lin polarization on the D1 line of the 87Rb atom.  相似文献

The excitation of spectral transitions of barium atoms from the 53 D J states by electron impact has been studied experimentally. The absolute values of the interaction cross sections and their energy dependences have been determined. The results obtained have been compared with theoretical calculations both by the classical Born approximation method and by the R-matrix method using the multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock wave functions of a target.  相似文献

The dependence of the form of the scattering spectra on different detunings of the pump wavelength from the sodium doublet D-lines has been investigated. The spectral-angular characteristics of three-photon scattered radiation have been obtained. It has been shown that the composition of the scattered-radiation spectrum strongly depends on the pump radiation power density and the concentration of sodium atoms. The hierarchical structure of fermion masses of the Standard Model is explained in split fermion models by localizing the fermions at different points in an extra dimension. We consider split fermion models with two bulk scalars compactified on an orbifold. In the static case we find analytical expression for the localizer. We also address the issue of stability of the localizer. We also find exact solutions for the fermion zero modes. We explore the parameter space of the model. We find ample opportunity for construction of phenomenologically viable theories exist.  相似文献

The explicit form of linearized gauge arid generalized “Weyl invariant” interactions of scalar and general higher even spin fields in the AdS D space constructed in [1] is reviewed. Also a linearized interaction of vector field with general higher even spin, gauge field is obtained. It is shown that the gauge invariant action of linearized vector field interacting with the higher spin field also includes the whole tower of invariant actions for couplings of the same vector field with the gauge fields of smaller even spin.  相似文献

The investigation of 1D quantum N-particle system (PS) with relaxation in the random environment under the influence of external field is conducted within the framework of the stochastic differential equation of the Langevin—Schrödinger (L—Sch) type. Using L—Sch equation, the 2D second-order nonstationary partial differential equation is found, which describes the quantum distribution in the environment, depending on the energy of nonperturbed 1D quantum N-PS and on the external field parameters. It is shown that the average value of the interaction potential between 1D disordered quantum N-PS and the external field, has the ultraviolet divergence. This problem is solved by the renormalization of the equation for the function of quantum distribution. It is shown that it has a sense of dimensional renormalization which is characteristic for the quantum field theory. Critical properties of the environment are investigated in detail. The possibility of the first-order phase transition in the environment distribution depending on amplitude of an external field is been shown.  相似文献

We show that our construction of realizations for algebras and quantum algebras can be generalized to quantum superalgebras too. The difference of vector and axial-vector charged current correlators is analyzed by means of QCD sum rules. The contribution of 10-dimensional 4-quark condensates is calculated and its value is estimated within the framework of the factorization hypothesis. It is compared to the result obtained from an operator fit of Borel sum rules in the complex q 2-plane, calculated from experimental data on hadronic -decays. This fit gives accurate values of the light quark condensate and the quark-gluon mixed condensate. In previous work we introduced and studied a function that generalizes the hypergeometric function. In this paper we focus on a similarity-transformed function , with parameters 4 related to the couplings c4 by a shift depending on a + , a . We show that the -function is invariant under all maps w(), with w in the Weyl group of type D 4 . Choosing a + , a positive and real, we obtain detailed information on the |Re v| asymptotics of the -function. In particular, we explicitly determine the leading asymptotics in terms of plane waves and the c-function that implements the similarity R.  相似文献

The structure of single-wall carbon nanotube Y junctions of symmetry D3h containing topological defects in the form of six heptagons or three octagons located immediately in the junction region of each pair of nanotubes forming the Y junctions is investigated, and their classification is suggested. It is shown that the pairs of heptagons in a Y junction formed by nanotubes of the “zigzag” type can be arranged in two ways and can be transformed into one another by using the (6, 7, 7, 6) ? (7, 6, 7, 6) Stone-Wales transformation and that the octagon and pairs of heptagons in a Y junction formed by nanotubes of the “armchair” type can be transformed into one another by introducing or removing a C2 cluster. A method for constructing such Y junctions is suggested.  相似文献

The 1/N c -power countings for baryon decays and configuration mixings are determined by means of a nonrelativistic quark picture. Such countings are expected to be robust under changes in the quark masses and, therefore, valid as these become light. It is shown that excited baryons have natural widths of \(\mathcal{O}(N_c^0 )\). These dominant widths are due to the decays that proceed directly to the ground-state baryons, with cascade decays being suppressed to \(\mathcal{O}(1/N_c )\). Configuration mixings, defined as mixings between states belonging to different O(3) × SU(2N f ) multiplets, are shown to be subleading in an expansion in \(1/\sqrt {N_c }\) when they involve the ground-state baryons, while the mixings between excited states can be \(\mathcal{O}(N_c^0 )\).  相似文献

We obtain exact results in α′ for open and closed A-model topological string amplitudes on a large class of toric Calabi-Yau threefolds by using their correspondence with five dimensional gauge theories. The toric Calabi-Yaus that we analyze are obtained as minimal resolution of cones over Y p,q manifolds and give rise via M-theory compactification to SU(p) gauge theories on . As an application we present a detailed study of the local case and compute open and closed genus zero Gromov-Witten invariants of the orbifold. We also display the modular structure of the topological wave function and give predictions for higher genus amplitudes. The mirror curve in this case is the spectral curve of the relativistic A 1 Toda chain. Our results also indicate the existence of a wider class of relativistic integrable systems associated to generic Y p,q geometries.  相似文献

We present an implementation of the calculation of the production of W + W + plus two jets at hadron colliders, at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, in the POWHEG framework, which is a method that allows the interfacing of NLO calculations to shower Monte Carlo programs. This is the first 2→4 process to be described to NLO accuracy within a shower Monte Carlo framework. The implementation was built within the POWHEG BOX package. We discuss a few technical improvements that were needed in the POWHEG BOX to deal with the computer intensive nature of the NLO calculation, and argue that further improvements are possible, so that the method can match the complexity that is reached today in NLO calculations. We have interfaced our POWHEG implementation with PYTHIA and HERWIG, and present some phenomenological results, discussing similarities and differences between the pure NLO and the POWHEG+PYTHIA calculation both for inclusive and more exclusive distributions. We have made the relevant code available at the POWHEG BOX web site.  相似文献

Certain B s 0V 1 V 2 decays (V i is a vector meson) can be related by flavor SU(3) symmetry to corresponding B d 0V 3 V 4 decays. In this paper, we show that the final-state polarization can be predicted in the B s 0 decay, assuming polarization measurements of the B d 0 decay. This can be done within the scenario of penguin annihilation (PA), which has been suggested as an explanation of the unexpectedly large transverse polarization in Bφ K *. PA is used to estimate the breaking of flavor SU(3) symmetry in pairs of decays. Two of these for which PA makes a reasonably precise prediction of the size of SU(3) breaking are (B s 0φ φ,B d 0φ K 0*) and ( ). The polarization measurement in the B d 0 decay can be used to predict the transverse polarization in the B s 0 decay and will allow for testing of PA as well as the other assumptions in the analysis.  相似文献

The electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) on the atomic D 1 line of rubidium is studied using a nanometric-thin cell with atomic vapor column length in the range of L=400–800 nm. It is shown that the reduction of the cell thickness by four orders as compared with an ordinary cm-size cell still allows to form an EIT resonance for L=λ=794 nm with the contrast of up to 40%. Further reduction of thickness to L=λ/2 leads to significant reduction of EIT contrast, verifying that the key parameter for EIT in wavelength-scale-thickness cells is not the value of L itself but L/λ ratio. Remarkable distinctions of EIT formation in nanometric-thin and ordinary cells are demonstrated. Well-resolved splitting of the EIT resonance in a magnetic field for L=λ can be used for magnetometry with nanometric spatial resolution. The presented theoretical model well describes the observed results.  相似文献

Motivated by recent experimental results and ongoing measurements, we review the chiral perturbation theory prediction for decays. Special emphasis is given to the stability of the inner bremsstrahlung-dominated relative branching ratio versus the K e3 form factors, and on the separation of the structure-dependent amplitude in differential distributions over the phase space. For the structure-dependent terms, an assessment of the order p 6 corrections is given, in particular, a full next-to-leading order calculation of the axial component is performed.
