We study the problem of classification of triples ( $ \mathfrak{g} $ ; f; k), where g is a simple Lie algebra, f its nilpotent element and k $ \mathbb{C} $ , for which the simple W-algebra W k ( $ \mathfrak{g} $ ; f) is rational.  相似文献

This paper studies the distinctness of modular reductions of primitive sequences over ${\mathbf{Z}/(2^{32}-1)}$ . Let f(x) be a primitive polynomial of degree n over ${\mathbf{Z}/(2^{32}-1)}$ and H a positive integer with a prime factor coprime with 232?1. Under the assumption that every element in ${\mathbf{Z}/(2^{32}-1)}$ occurs in a primitive sequence of order n over ${\mathbf{Z}/(2^{32}-1)}$ , it is proved that for two primitive sequences ${\underline{a}=(a(t))_{t\geq 0}}$ and ${\underline{b}=(b(t))_{t\geq 0}}$ generated by f(x) over ${\mathbf{Z}/(2^{32}-1), \underline{a}=\underline{b}}$ if and only if ${a\left( t\right) \equiv b\left( t\right) \bmod{H}}$ for all t ≥ 0. Furthermore, the assumption is known to be valid for n between 7 and 100, 000, the range of which is sufficient for practical applications.  相似文献

Consider the stochastic heat equation ${\partial_t u = (\varkappa/2)\Delta u+\sigma(u)\dot{F}}$ , where the solution u := u t (x) is indexed by ${(t, x) \in (0, \infty) \times {\bf R}^d}$ , and ${\dot{F}}$ is a centered Gaussian noise that is white in time and has spatially-correlated coordinates. We analyze the large- ${\|x\|}$ fixed-t behavior of the solution u in different regimes, thereby study the effect of noise on the solution in various cases. Among other things, we show that if the spatial correlation function f of the noise is of Riesz type, that is ${f(x)\propto \|x\|^{-\alpha}}$ , then the “fluctuation exponents” of the solution are ${\psi}$ for the spatial variable and ${2\psi-1}$ for the time variable, where ${\psi:=2/(4-\alpha)}$ . Moreover, these exponent relations hold as long as ${\alpha \in (0, d \wedge 2)}$ ; that is precisely when Dalang’s theory [Dalang, Electron J Probab 4:(Paper no. 6):29, 1999] implies the existence of a solution to our stochastic PDE. These findings bolster earlier physical predictions [Kardar et al., Phys Rev Lett 58(20):889–892, 1985; Kardar and Zhang, Phys Rev Lett 58(20):2087–2090, 1987].  相似文献

A set is called semidefinite representable or semidefinite programming (SDP) representable if it equals the projection of a higher dimensional set which is defined by some Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI). This paper discusses the semidefinite representability conditions for convex sets of the form ${S_{\mathcal {D}}(f) =\{x\in \mathcal {D} : f(x) \geq 0 \}}$ . Here, ${\mathcal {D}=\{x\in \mathbb {R}^n : g_1(x) \geq 0, \ldots, g_m(x) \geq 0 \}}$ is a convex domain defined by some “nice” concave polynomials g i (x) (they satisfy certain concavity certificates), and f(x) is a polynomial or rational function. When f(x) is concave over ${\mathcal {D}}$ , we prove that ${S_{\mathcal {D}}(f) }$ has some explicit semidefinite representations under certain conditions called preordering concavity or q-module concavity, which are based on the Positivstellensatz certificates for the first order concavity criteria: $$f(u) + \nabla f(u)^T(x-u) -f(x) \geq 0, \quad \forall \, x, u \in \mathcal {D}.$$ When f(x) is a polynomial or rational function having singularities on the boundary of ${S_{\mathcal {D}}(f)}$ , a perspective transformation is introduced to find some explicit semidefinite representations for ${S_{\mathcal {D}}(f)}$ under certain conditions. In the special case n?=?2, if the Laurent expansion of f(x) around one singular point has only two consecutive homogeneous parts, we show that ${S_{\mathcal {D}}(f)}$ always admits an explicitly constructible semidefinite representation.  相似文献

A subgroup property $\alpha $ is transitive in a group $G$ if $U \alpha V$ and $V \alpha G$ imply that $U \alpha G$ whenever $U \le V \le G$ , and $\alpha $ is persistent in $G$ if $U \alpha G$ implies that $U \alpha V$ whenever $U \le V \le G$ . Even though a subgroup property $\alpha $ may be neither transitive nor persistent, a given subgroup $U$ may have the property that each $\alpha $ -subgroup of $U$ is an $\alpha $ -subgroup of $G$ , or that each $\alpha $ -subgroup of $G$ in $U$ is an $\alpha $ -subgroup of $U$ . We call these subgroup properties $\alpha $ -transitivity and $\alpha $ -persistence, respectively. We introduce and develop the notions of $\alpha $ -transitivity and $\alpha $ -persistence, and we establish how the former property is related to $\alpha $ -sensitivity. In order to demonstrate how these concepts can be used, we apply the results to the cases in which $\alpha $ is replaced with “normal” and the “cover-avoidance property.” We also suggest ways in which the theory can be developed further.  相似文献

The Dodd–Jensen Covering Lemma states that “if there is no inner model with a measurable cardinal, then for any uncountable set of ordinals X, there is a ${Y\in K}$ such that ${X\subseteq Y}$ and |X| = |Y|”. Assuming ZF+AD alone, we establish the following analog: If there is no inner model with an ${\mathbb {R}}$ –complete measurable cardinal, then the real core model ${K(\mathbb {R})}$ is a “very good approximation” to the universe of sets V; that is, ${K(\mathbb {R})}$ and V have exactly the same sets of reals and for any set of ordinals X with ${|{X}|\ge\Theta}$ , there is a ${Y\in K(\mathbb {R})}$ such that ${X\subseteq Y}$ and |X| = |Y|. Here ${\mathbb {R}}$ is the set of reals and ${\Theta}$ is the supremum of the ordinals which are the surjective image of ${\mathbb {R}}$ .  相似文献

In this paper we classify the complete rotational special Weingarten surfaces in ${\mathbb{S}^2 \times \mathbb{R}}$ and ${\mathbb{H}^2 \times \mathbb{R}}$ ; i.e. rotational surfaces in ${\mathbb{S}^2 \times \mathbb{R}}$ and ${\mathbb{H}^2 \times \mathbb{R}}$ whose mean curvature H and extrinsic curvature K e satisfy H = f(H 2 ? K e ), for some function ${f \in \mathcal{C}^1([0,+\infty))}$ such that f(0) = 0 and 4x(f′(x))2 < 1 for any x ≥ 0. Furthermore we show the existence of non-complete examples of such surfaces.  相似文献

Fried and MacRae (Math. Ann. 180, 220?C226 (1969)) proved that for univariate polynomials ${p,q, f, g \in \mathbb{K}[t]}$ ( ${\mathbb{K}}$ a field) with p, q nonconstant, p(x) ? q(y) divides f(x) ? g(y) in ${\mathbb{K}[x,y]}$ if and only if there is ${h \in \mathbb{K}[t]}$ such that f?=?h(p(t)) and g?=?h(q(t)). Schicho (Arch. Math. 65, 239?C243 (1995)) proved this theorem from the viewpoint of category theory, thereby providing several generalizations to multivariate polynomials. In the present note, we give a new proof of one of these generalizations. The theorem by Fried and MacRae yields a way to prove the following fact for nonconstant functions f, g from ${\mathbb{C}}$ to ${\mathbb{C}}$ : if both the composition ${f \circ g}$ and g are polynomial functions, then f has to be a polynomial function as well. We give an algebraic proof of this fact and present a generalization to multivariate polynomials over algebraically closed fields. This provides a way to prove a generalization of a result by Carlitz (Acta Sci. Math. (Szeged) 24, 196?C203 (1963)) that describes those univariate polynomials over finite fields that induce bijective functions on all of their finite extensions.  相似文献

We consider the following perturbed version of quasilinear Schrödinger equation $$\begin{array}{lll}-\varepsilon^2\Delta u +V(x)u-\varepsilon^2\Delta (u^2)u=h(x,u)u+K(x)|u|^{22^*-2}u\end{array}$$ in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ , where N ≥ 3, 22* = 4N/(N ? 2), V(x) is a nonnegative potential, and K(x) is a bounded positive function. Using minimax methods, we show that this equation has at least one positive solution provided that ${\varepsilon \leq \mathcal{E}}$ ; for any ${m\in\mathbb{N}}$ , it has m pairs of solutions if ${\varepsilon \leq \mathcal{E}_m}$ , where ${\mathcal{E}}$ and ${\mathcal{E}_m}$ are sufficiently small positive numbers. Moreover, these solutions ${u_\varepsilon \to 0}$ in ${H^1(\mathbb{R}^N)}$ as ${\varepsilon \to 0}$ .  相似文献

Let R be a prime ring with center Z(R). For a fixed positive integer n, a permuting n-additive map ${\Delta : R^n \to R}$ is known to be permuting n-derivation if ${\Delta(x_1, x_2, \ldots, x_i x'_{i},\ldots, x_n) = \Delta(x_1, x_2, \ldots, x_i, \ldots, x_n)x'_i + x_i \Delta(x_1, x_2, \ldots, x'_i, \ldots, x_n)}$ holds for all ${x_i, x'_i \in R}$ . A mapping ${\delta : R \to R}$ defined by δ(x) = Δ(x, x, . . . ,x) for all ${x \in R}$ is said to be the trace of Δ. In the present paper, we have proved that a ring R is commutative if there exists a permuting n-additive map ${\Delta : R^n \to R}$ such that ${xy + \delta(xy) = yx + \delta(yx), xy- \delta(xy) = yx - \delta(yx), xy - yx = \delta(x) \pm \delta(y)}$ and ${xy + yx = \delta(x) \pm \delta(y)}$ holds for all ${x, y \in R}$ . Further, we have proved that if R is a prime ring with suitable torsion restriction then R is commutative if there exist non-zero permuting n-derivations Δ1 and Δ2 from ${R^n \to R}$ such that Δ1(δ 2(x), x, . . . ,x) =  0 for all ${x \in R,}$ where δ 2 is the trace of Δ2. Finally, it is shown that in a prime ring R of suitable torsion restriction, if ${\Delta_1, \Delta_2 : R^n \longrightarrow R}$ are non-zero permuting n-derivations with traces δ 1, δ 2, respectively, and ${B : R^n \longrightarrow R}$ is a permuting n-additive map with trace f such that δ 1 δ 2(x) =  f(x) holds for all ${x \in R}$ , then R is commutative.  相似文献

We classify symmetric 2-structures ${(P, \mathfrak{G}_1, \mathfrak{G}_2, \mathfrak{K})}$ , i.e. chain structures which correspond to sharply 2-transitive permutation sets (E, Σ) satisfying the condition: “ ${(*) \, \, \forall \sigma, \tau \in \Sigma : \sigma \circ \tau^{-1} \circ \sigma \in \Sigma}$ ”. To every chain ${K \in \mathfrak{K}}$ one can associate a reflection ${\widetilde{K}}$ in K. Then (*) is equivalent to “ ${(**) \, \, \forall K \in \mathfrak{K} : \widetilde{K}(\mathfrak{K}) = \mathfrak{K}}$ ” and one can define an orthogonality “ ${\perp}$ ” for chains ${K, L \in \mathfrak{K}}$ by “ ${K \perp L \Leftrightarrow K \neq L \wedge \widetilde{K}(L) = L}$ ”. The classification is based on the cardinality of the set of chains which are orthogonal to a chain K and passing through a point p of K. For one of these classes (called point symmetric 2-structures) we proof that in each point there is a reflection and that the set of point reflections forms a regular involutory permutation set.  相似文献

Let ${G: \mathbb {C}^{n-1} \rightarrow \mathbb {C}}$ be holomorphic such that G(0)?=?0 and DG(0)?=?0. When f is a convex (resp. starlike) normalized (f(0)?=?0, f??(0)?=?1) univalent mapping of the unit disk ${\mathbb {D}}$ in ${\mathbb {C}}$ , then the extension of f to the Euclidean unit ball ${\mathbb {B}}$ in ${\mathbb {C}^n}$ given by ${\Phi_G(f)(z)=(f(z_1)+G(\sqrt{f^{\prime}(z_1)} \, \hat{z}),\sqrt{f^{\prime}(z_1)}\, \hat{z})}$ , ${\hat{z}=(z_2,\dots,z_n) \in \mathbb {C}^{n-1}}$ , is known to be convex (resp. starlike) if G is a homogeneous polynomial of degree 2 with sufficiently small norm. Conversely, it is known that G cannot have terms of degree greater than 2 in its expansion about 0 in order for ${\Phi_G(f)}$ to be convex (resp. starlike), in general. We examine whether the restriction that f be either convex or starlike of a certain order ${\alpha \in (0,1]}$ allows, in general, for G to contain terms of degree greater than 2 and still have ${\Phi_G(f)}$ maintain the respective geometric property. Related extension results for convex and starlike Bloch mappings are also given.  相似文献

We study limit behavior for sums of the form $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_{L|}}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_{L}}u(t,x),$ where the field $\Lambda_L=\left\{x\in {\bf{Z^d}}:|x|\le L\right\}$ is composed of solutions of the parabolic Anderson equation $$u(t,x) = 1 + \kappa \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t} \Delta u(s,x){\rm d}s + \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t}u(s,x)\partial B_{x}(s). $$ The index set is a box in Z d , namely $\Lambda_{L} = \left\{x\in {\bf Z}^{\bf d} : |x| \leq L\right\}$ and L = L(t) is a nondecreasing function $L : [0,\infty)\rightarrow {\bf R}^{+}. $ We identify two critical parameters $\eta(1) < \eta(2)$ such that for $\gamma > \eta(1)$ and L(t) = eγ t , the sums $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ satisfy a law of large numbers, or put another way, they exhibit annealed behavior. For $\gamma > \eta(2)$ and L(t) = eγ t , one has $\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ when properly normalized and centered satisfies a central limit theorem. For subexponential scales, that is when $\lim_{t \rightarrow \infty} \frac{1}{t}\ln L(t) = 0,$ quenched asymptotics occur. That means $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln\left (\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)\right) = \gamma(\kappa),$ where $\gamma(\kappa)$ is the almost sure Lyapunov exponent, i.e. $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln u(t,x)= \gamma(\kappa).$ We also examine the behavior of $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ for L = e γ t with γ in the transition range $(0,\eta(1))$   相似文献

Suppose that f : [0, 1] ?? [0, 2] is a continuous strictly increasing piecewise differentiable function, and define T f x :=?f(x) (mod 1). Let ${\beta \geq \sqrt[3]{2}}$ . It is proved that T f is topologically transitive if inf f???????? and ${f(0)\geq\frac{1}{\beta+1}}$ . Counterexamples are provided if the assumptions are not satisfied. For ${\sqrt[3]{2}\leq\beta < \sqrt{2}}$ and 0????????? 2 ? ?? it is shown that ??x?+??? (mod 1) is topologically transitive if and only if ${\alpha < \frac{1}{\beta^2+\beta}}$ or ${\alpha >2 -\beta-\frac{1}{\beta^2+\beta}}$ .  相似文献

An additive functor $F \colon {\mathcal A}\to{\mathcal B}$ between preadditive categories $\mathcal A$ and $\mathcal B$ is said to be a local functor if, for every morphism $f\colon A\to A'$ in $\mathcal A$ , F(f) isomorphism in $\mathcal B$ implies f isomorphism in $\mathcal A$ . We show that there exist several pairs $(\mathcal I_1,\mathcal I_2)$ of ideals of $\mathcal A$ for which the canonical functor $\mathcal A\to\mathcal A/\mathcal I_1\times \mathcal A/\mathcal I_2$ is a local functor. In most of our examples, the category $\mathcal A$ is a full subcategory of the category Mod?-R of all right modules over a ring R. These pairs of ideals arise in a surprisingly natural way and enjoy several properties. Ideals are kernels of functors, and most of our examples of ideals are kernels of important and well studied functors. E.g., (1) the kernel Δ of the canonical functor P of Mod?-R into its spectral category Spec(Mod?-R), so that Δ is the ideal of all morphisms with an essential kernel; (2) the kernel Σ of the dual functor F of P, so that Σ is the ideal of all morphisms with a superfluous image; (3) the kernels Δ(1) and Σ(1) of the first derived functors P (1) and F (1) of P and F, respectively; (4) the kernels of suitable functors Hom and ? and their first derived functors ${\rm Ext}^1_R$ and ${\rm Tor}^R_1$ .  相似文献

In a symmetric 2-structure ${\Sigma =(P,\mathfrak{G}_1,\mathfrak{G}_2,\mathfrak{K})}$ we fix a chain ${E \in \mathfrak{K}}$ and define on E two binary operations “+” and “·”. Then (E,+) is a K-loop and for ${E^* := E {\setminus}\{o\}}$ , (E *,·) is a Bol loop. If ${\Sigma}$ is even point symmetric then (E,+ ,·) is a quasidomain and one has the set ${Aff(E,+,\cdot) := \{a^+\circ b^\bullet | a \in E, b \in E^*\}}$ of affine permutations. From Aff(E, +, ·) one can reproduce via a “chain derivation” the point symmetric 2-structure ${\Sigma}$ .  相似文献

We consider the homogenization of a conductivity equation for a medium made up of a set ${F_\varepsilon}$ ( ${\varepsilon}$ being the size of the period of the medium) of highly conductive vertical fibers surrounded by another material (the matrix) assumed to be a poor conductor. The conductivity coefficients in the fibers behave as ${\frac{1}{\varepsilon^2}}$ while whose of the matrix behave as ${\varepsilon^2}$ . We show that the homogenized problem consists of an equality of the kind u(x) = m(x) f (x) where u denotes the macroscopic temperature, f the source term and m(x) a coefficient given by solving some cell equation.  相似文献

Let ${{\mathbb H}_n, n \geq 1}$ , be the near 2n-gon defined on the 1-factors of the complete graph on 2n?+?2 vertices, and let e denote the absolutely universal embedding of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ into PG(W), where W is a ${\frac{1}{n+2} \left(\begin{array}{c}2n+2 \\ n+1\end{array}\right)}$ -dimensional vector space over the field ${{\mathbb F}_2}$ with two elements. For every point z of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ and every ${i \in {\mathbb N}}$ , let Δ i (z) denote the set of points of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ at distance i from z. We show that for every pair {x, y} of mutually opposite points of ${{\mathbb H}_n, W}$ can be written as a direct sum ${W_0 \oplus W_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus W_n}$ such that the following four properties hold for every ${i \in \{0,\ldots,n \}}$ : (1) ${\langle e(\Delta_i(x) \cap \Delta_{n-i}(y)) \rangle = {\rm PG}(W_i)}$ ; (2) ${\left\langle e \left( \bigcup_{j \leq i} \Delta_j(x) \right) \right\rangle = {\rm PG}(W_0 \oplus W_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus W_i)}$ ; (3) ${\left\langle e \left( \bigcup_{j \leq i} \Delta_j(y) \right) \right\rangle = {\rm PG}(W_{n-i}\oplus W_{n-i+1} \oplus \cdots \oplus W_n)}$ ; (4) ${\dim(W_i) = |\Delta_i(x) \cap \Delta_{n-i}(y)| = \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i\end{array}\right)^2 - \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i-1\end{array}\right) \cdot \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i+1\end{array}\right)}$ .  相似文献

We consider nonautonomous semilinear evolution equations of the form $$\frac{dx}{dt}= A(t)x+f(t,x) . $$ Here A(t) is a (possibly unbounded) linear operator acting on a real or complex Banach space $\mathbb{X}$ and $f: \mathbb{R}\times\mathbb {X}\to\mathbb{X}$ is a (possibly nonlinear) continuous function. We assume that the linear equation (1) is well-posed (i.e. there exists a continuous linear evolution family {U(t,s)}(t,s)∈Δ such that for every s∈?+ and xD(A(s)), the function x(t)=U(t,s)x is the uniquely determined solution of Eq. (1) satisfying x(s)=x). Then we can consider the mild solution of the semilinear equation (2) (defined on some interval [s,s+δ),δ>0) as being the solution of the integral equation $$x(t) = U(t, s)x + \int_s^t U(t, \tau)f\bigl(\tau, x(\tau)\bigr) d\tau,\quad t\geq s . $$ Furthermore, if we assume also that the nonlinear function f(t,x) is jointly continuous with respect to t and x and Lipschitz continuous with respect to x (uniformly in t∈?+, and f(t,0)=0 for all t∈?+) we can generate a (nonlinear) evolution family {X(t,s)}(t,s)∈Δ , in the sense that the map $t\mapsto X(t,s)x:[s,\infty)\to\mathbb{X}$ is the unique solution of Eq. (4), for every $x\in\mathbb{X}$ and s∈?+. Considering the Green’s operator $(\mathbb{G}{f})(t)=\int_{0}^{t} X(t,s)f(s)ds$ we prove that if the following conditions hold
  • the map $\mathbb{G}{f}$ lies in $L^{q}(\mathbb{R}_{+},\mathbb{X})$ for all $f\in L^{p}(\mathbb{R}_{+},\mathbb{X})$ , and
  • $\mathbb{G}:L^{p}(\mathbb{R}_{+},\mathbb{X})\to L^{q}(\mathbb {R}_{+},\mathbb{X})$ is Lipschitz continuous, i.e. there exists K>0 such that $$\|\mathbb{G} {f}-\mathbb{G} {g}\|_{q} \leq K\|f-g\|_{p} , \quad\mbox{for all}\ f,g\in L^p(\mathbb{R}_+,\mathbb{X}) , $$
then the above mild solution will have an exponential decay.  相似文献
