A series of cationic palladium complexes of general formula [Pd(Me)(MeCN)(N-N)][PF(6)] (N-N = (phen) 1 a, 4,7-dichloro-1,10-phenanthroline (4,7-Cl(2)-phen) 2 a, 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (4,7-Ph(2)-phen) 3 a, 4-methyl-1,10-phenanthroline (4-Me-phen) 4 a, 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (4,7-Me(2)-phen) 5 a, 5,5,6,6-tetrafluoro-5,6-dihydro-1,10-phenanthroline (F(4)-phen) 6 a, containing different substituted phenanthroline ligands, have been prepared from the corresponding neutral chloro derivatives [Pd(Me)(Cl)(N-N)], (1 b-6 b). The X-ray crystal structure of [Pd(Cl)(2)(4,7-Cl(2)-phen)] (2 b') was determined. DFT calculations show that the electron density on the metal is tuned by the substituents on the ligands. The catalytic behavior of complexes 1 a-6 a in the CO/styrene and CO/p-Me-styrene copolymerizations was studied in detail, showing that the generated catalysts are active for at least 90 h, yielding copolymers of high molecular weight. A firm correlation between the electron density on palladium on the one hand and the catalytic activity of the complexes and the molecular weight and the stereochemistry of the polyketones synthesized on the other hand has been established: the catalyst containing the F(4)-phen is thus far the most active among those tested, yielding the syndiotactic CO/styrene copolymer with a stereoregularity of 96 % (uu triad) and with an M(w) value of 1 000 000.  相似文献

Cationic palladium(II) complexes of the type containing bisnitrogen ligands with a pyrazole moiety were synthesized from the corresponding neutral derivatives [PdClMe(N-N′)]. Their characterization by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy in solution evidences the presence of the Pd-Me group cis to the pyrazole ring. The catalytic behaviour of the cationic complexes in CO/4-tert-butylstyrene copolymerization and CO/ethylene/4-tert-butylstyrene terpolymerization was investigated. Productivity was greatly enhanced when the reaction was carried out in 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (TFE). Molecular weights and polydispersity (Mw/Mn) of the obtained polyketones resulted among the best reported for Cs-bisnitrogen planar ligands.  相似文献

Continuing our studies into the effect that N-N' ligands have on CO/styrene copolymerization, we prepared new C(1)-symmetrical pyridine-imidazoline ligands with 4',5'-cis stereochemistry in the imidazoline ring (5) and 4',5'-trans stereochemistry (6-10) and compared them with our previously reported ligands (1-4). Their coordination to neutral methylpalladium(II) (5 a-10 a) and cationic complexes (5 b-10 b), investigated in solution by NMR spectroscopy, indicates that both the electronic and steric properties of the imidazolines determine the stereochemistry of the palladium complexes. The crystal structures of two neutral palladium precursors [Pd(Me)(2-n)Cl(n)(N-N')] (n=1 for 8 a; n=2 for 9 a') show that the Pd-N coordination distances and the geometrical distortions in the imidazoline ring depend on the electronic nature of the substituents in the imidazoline fragment. Density functional calculations performed on selected neutral and cationic palladium complexes compare well with NMR and X-ray data. The calculations also account for the formation of only one or two stereoisomers of the cationic complexes. The performance of the cationic complexes as catalyst precursors in CO/4-tert-butylstyrene copolymerization under mild pressures and temperatures was analyzed in terms of the productivity and degree of stereoregularity of the polyketones obtained. Insertion of CO into the Pd-Me bond, which was monitored by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, shows that the N ligand influences the stereochemistry of the acyl species formed.  相似文献

Acyclic o-phenylene-bridged bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds, o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-(H)N(C(6)H(3)R'(2))}(2) and related 30-membered macrocyclic compounds, o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R'(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-(H)N-C(6)H(2)R(2)}(2) (o-C(6)H(4)) are prepared. Successive additions of Me(2)Zn and SO(2) gas to the bis(anilido-aldimine) compounds afford quantitatively dinuclear mu-methylsulfinato zinc complexes, o-C(6)H(4){(C(6)H(2)R(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-N(C(6)H(3)R'(2))-kappa(2)-N,N)Zn(mu-OS(O)Me)}(2) (R = iPr and R' = iPr, 29; R = Et and R' = Et, 30; R = Me and R'= Me, 31; R = Me and R' = iPr, 32; R = Et and R' = Me, 33; R = Et and R' = iPr, 34; R = iPr and R' = Et, 35) and o-C(6)H(4){C(6)H(2)R'(2)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-N-C(6)H(2)R(2)-kappa(2)-N,N)Zn(mu-OS(O)Me)}(2) (o-C(6)H(4)) (R = Et and R'= Et, 36; R = Me and R' = Me, 37; R = iPr and R' = Me, 38; R = Et and R' = Me, 39; R = Me and R'= iPr, 40). Molecular structures of 34 and 40 are confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Complexes 30-35 show high activity for cyclohexene oxide/CO(2) copolymerization at low [Zn]/[monomer] ratio (1:5600), whereas the complex of mononucleating beta-diketiminate {[(C(6)H(3)Et(2))N=C(Me)CH=C(Me)N(C(6)H(3)Et(2))]Zn(mu-OS(O)Et)}(2) shows negligible activity in the same condition. Activity is sensitive to the N-aryl ortho substituents and the highest activity is observed with 32. Turnover number up to 2980 and molecular weight (M(n)) up to 284 000 are attained with 32 at such a highly diluted condition as [Zn]/[monomer] = 1:17 400. Macrocyclic complexes 36-40 show negligible activity for copolymerization.  相似文献

The introduction of acetic acid units on p. t-butylcalix [4] arene, in a controlled way, leads to a series of new lipophilic complexones (3, 5, 7) with different structures and properties. The tetraacid derivative (3) shows a cone structure and its alkali and ammonium salts are soluble in water whereas the other two ligands (5) and (7) show a flattened cone structure. New tetraphosphorus ligands have been developed and applied in the rhodium-catalyzed regioselective hydroformylation of a variety of functionalized allyl and vinyl derivatives. Remarkably high linear selectivity was obtained by these tetraphosphorus ligands. The ligand that bears strong electron-withdrawing 2,4-difluorophenyl groups is the most effective one in affording linear aldehydes. The Rh/tetraphosphorus ligand catalyst is highly effective to produce linear aldehydes from functionalized allyl derivatives with heteroatoms or aromatic groups directly adjacent to the allyl group. For vinyl derivatives, the ligand is highly linear selective for acrylic derivatives, styrene, vinyl pyridine, and vinyl phthalimide. Linear to branch ratios of 26:1 and 10:1 were obtained for the hydroformylation of styrene and allyl cyanide, respectively.  相似文献

Utilization of palladium catalysts bearing a P-chiral phosphine-sulfonate ligand enabled asymmetric copolymerization of vinyl acetate with carbon monoxide. The obtained γ-polyketones have head-to-tail and isotactic polymer structures. The origin of the regio- and stereoregularities was elucidated by stoichiometric reactions of acylpalladium complexes with vinyl acetate. The present report for the first time demonstrates successful asymmetric coordination-insertion (co)polymerization of vinyl acetate.  相似文献

A new type of triaryl phosphine-functionalized imidazolium salts 6 were prepared. Their palladium complexes, generated in situ, were successfully applied in the palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction. Using 1 mol% of Pd(dba)2 and 1 mol% 6c in the presence of 2 equiv of K2CO3 in DMAc has proven to be highly efficient for the coupling of a wide array of aryl bromides and iodides with acrylates in excellent yield. The coupling of 4-bromotoluene with various styrene derivatives catalyzed by Pd/6c complex also gave good results.  相似文献

A computerized version of the Fineman-Ross linearization procedure was used to determine reactivity ratios for copolymerization of vinyl chloride (monomer 1) and 2-methylpentyl vinyl brassylate (monomer 2). From differential refractometry data for the products of low-conversion copolymerization, the procedure gave r1 = 1.06 and r2 = 0.234. The ratios computed from chlorine contents of the same products were r1 = 1.10 and r2 = 0.239. The polarity factor (e2) and general monomer reactivity (Q2) calculated for monomer 2 from these ratios were, respectively, ?0.95 to ?0.98 and 0.032–0.033. The interquartile range for the copolymerization of a mixture of 60% monomer 1 and 40% monomer 2 was 1.4%. These values suggest that from suitable proportions of reactants, sufficiently homogeneous distribution of monomers can be achieved in copolymers of vinyl chloride and 2-methylpentyl vinyl brassylate to offer the possibility of effective internal plasticization.  相似文献

The Tobita-Hamielec kinetic model of the crosslink density distribution is further elaborated and extended to incorporate divinyl loop formation. Divinyl loop formation, primary and secondary cyclization, and their effects on the elastically effective crosslink density distribution are extensively examined as a function of cyclization parameters and double bond reactivities. Under conditions of equal double bond rectivity and negligible cyclization, primary chains born at different conversions have the same crosslink density. The variance of the crosslink density distribution is mainly due to unequal reactivities of double bonds and secondary cyclization. Divinyl loop formation and primary cyclization contribute neither to gelation nor to network elasticity and have an insignificant effect on the variance of the crosslink density distribution.  相似文献
