β-Ga2O3 nanowires have been synthesized using Ga metal and H2O vapor at 800 °C in the presence of Ni catalyst on the substrate. Remarkable reduction of the diameter and increase of the length of the Ga2O3 nanowires are achieved by separation of Ga metal and H2O vapor before they reach the substrate. Transmission electron microscopy analyses indicate that the β-Ga2O3 nanowires possess a single-crystalline structure. Photoluminescence measurements show two broad emission bands centered at 290 nm and 390 nm at room temperature. Nanosize films of In2O3:Ga2O3 (96:4 weight %) have been deposited on a glassceramic substrate by the method of rf magnetron sputtering. The surfaces of fabricated films were studied with use of a scanning electron microscope; sizes of grains were determined and the thicknesses of films were measured. In order to prepare a gas-sensitive structure, a thin catalytic palladium layer and ohmic comb contacts were deposited on the In2O3:Ga2O3 film surface by the method of ion-plasma sputtering. The sensitivity of sensors based on the glassceramic/In2O3:Ga2O3 (96:4 weight %)/Pd structure to different concentrations of propane and butane gas mixture, as well as to methane was investigated at temperatures of working substance from 250 to 300°C.  相似文献

LiSn2P3O12 with sodium (Na) super ionic conductor (NASICON)-type rhombohedral structure was successfully obtained at low sintering temperature, 600 °C via citric acid-assisted sol-gel method. However, when the sintering temperature increased to 650 °C, triclinic structure coexisted with the rhombohedral structure as confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Conductivity–temperature dependence of all samples were studied using impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range 30 to 500 °C, and bulk, grain boundary and total conductivity increased as the temperature increased. The highest bulk conductivity found was 3.64?×?10?5 S/cm at 500 °C for LiSn2P3O12 sample sintered at 650 °C, and the lowest bulk activation energy at low temperature was 0.008 eV, showing that sintering temperature affect the conductivity value. The voltage stability window for LiSn2P3O12 sample sintered at 600 °C at ambient temperature was up to 4.4 V. These results indicated the suitability of the LiSn2P3O12 to be exploiting further for potential applications as solid electrolytes in electrochemical devices.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline CaCu3Ti4O12 powders with particle sizes of 50–90 nm were synthesized by a simple method using Ca(NO3)2·4H2O, Cu(NO3)2·4H2O, titanium(diisoproproxide) bis(2,4-pentanedionate) and freshly extracted egg white (ovalbumin) in aqueous medium. The synthesized precursor was characterized by TG-DTA to determine the thermal decomposition and crystallization temperature which was found to be at above 400 °C. The precursor was calcined at 700 and 800 °C in air for 8 h to obtain nanocrystalline powders of CaCu3Ti4O12. The calcined CaCu3Ti4O12 powders were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM and TEM. Sintering of the powders was conducted in air at 1100 °C for 16 h. The XRD results indicated that all sintered samples have a typical perovskite CaCu3Ti4O12 structure and a small amount of CuO, although the sintered sample of the 700 °C calcined powders contained some amount of CaTiO3. SEM micrographs showed the average grain sizes of 12.0±7.8 and 15.5±8.9 μm for the sintered CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics prepared using the CaCu3Ti4O12 powders calcined at 700 and 800 °C, respectively. The sintered samples exhibit a giant dielectric constant, ε of ∼ 1.5–5×104. The dielectric behavior of both samples exhibits Debye-like relaxation, and can be explained based on a Maxwell–Wagner model. PACS 77.22.Gm; 81.05.Je; 81.07.Wx; 81.20.Ev  相似文献

We report a method by which we have produced nano-sized crystalline tin oxide (SnO2) particles with a rutile structure. We have employed thermal evaporation of solid Sn powders in ambient air. Samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The size of SnO2 particles in an agglomerated state was found to decrease on decreasing the synthesis temperature in the range of 700–850 °C. The product synthesized at a low temperature of 700 °C was comprised of a trace amount of tetragonal SnO phase. Photoluminescence spectra showed visible light emission, with its overall intensity being increased on increasing the synthesis temperature. Fine-sized BaO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 (BZBS) glass powders were directly prepared by high temperature spray pyrolysis. The hollow glass powders prepared at low preparation temperature of 1000 °C had a low density of 2.65 g/cm3. However, the densities of the BZBS powders obtained at preparation temperatures of 1200 and 1400 °C were each 3.92 and 4.13 g/cm3. The mean size of the BZBS glass powders prepared by spray pyrolysis at preparation temperature of 1400 °C was 0.98 μm. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the prepared BZBS glass powders was 518.9 °C. The dielectric layers formed from the prepared BZBS glass powders with a dense structure had a clean surface and a dense inner structure without voids at the firing temperature of 580 °C. The transparencies of the dielectric layers formed from the prepared BZBS glass powders were higher than 90% within the visible range. PACS 42.70.Ce; 85.60.Pg; 71.55.Jv  相似文献

Nanocrystalline LaMnO3 samples have been synthesized by the coprecipitation of lanthanum and manganese salt solutions followed by annealing at 800°C in air and then in an argon flow. With the use of X-ray and neutron diffraction analysis, it has been found that the resulting samples had an orthorhombic crystal structure (space group Pbnm). In the nanocrystalline LaMnO3 samples, an order-disorder phase transition from the low-temperature phase to the high-temperature phase occurs at (220 ± 10)°C, which is much lower than the value of 477°C for bulk LaMnO3. The phase transition is due to the removal of the Jahn-Teller distortion of the Mn3+O6 oxygen octahedrons and is accompanied by a decrease in the unit cell volume of lanthanum manganite over a narrow temperature range.  相似文献

Submicron samples of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor with elevated photoluminescence (PL) efficiency and activator concentration of 9 at % obtained by the sol–gel method were investigated by diffuse reflection spectroscopy and PL spectroscopy. It is found that the diffuse reflection spectrum in the vicinity of the fundamental absorption edge (<300 nm) is distorted by the superposition of the PL of Eu3+ ions, as a result of which the calculated value of optical band gap E g of the Y2O3 matrix is overestimated. An algorithm for eliminating the PL influence on the absorption edge is proposed, and the correct E g values are found to be 4.61 ± 0.12 and 4.50 ± 0.12 eV for annealing at 700 and 1300°C, respectively.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline V2O5 films have been deposited on glass substrates at 300°C substrate temperature using thermal evaporation technique and were subjected to thermal annealing at different temperatures 350, 400, and 550°C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra exhibit sharper and broader characteristic peaks respectively indicating the rearrangement of nanocrystallite phases with annealing temperatures. Other phases of vanadium oxides started emerging with the rise in annealing temperature and the sample converted completely to VO2 (B) phase at 550°C annealing. FESEM images showed an increase in crystallite size with 350 and 400°C annealing temperatures followed by a decrease in crystallite size for the sample annealed at 550°C. Transmission spectra showed an initial redshift of the fundamental band edge with 350 and 400°C while a blue shift for the sample annealed at 550°C, which was in agreement with XRD and SEM results. The films exhibited smart window properties as well as nanorod growth at specific annealing temperatures. Apart from showing the PL and defect related peaks, PL studies also supported the observations made in the transmission spectra.  相似文献

Nanostructured zinc oxide (ZnO) nanobelts and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanoribbons have been grown successfully from the vapor phase. XRD results confirmed the purity and the high quality of the formed crystalline materials. TEM images showed that ZnO nanostructures grew in the commonly known tetrapod structure with nanobelts separated from the tetrapods with an average width range of 10–30 nm and a length of about 500 nm. Al2O3 nanostructures grew in the form of nanoribbons with an average width range of 20–30 nm and a length of up to 1 μm. The catalytic oxidation of CO gas into CO2 gas over the synthesized nanostructures is also reported. Higher catalytic activity was observed for Pd nanoparticles loaded on the ZnO nanobelts (100% conversion at 270 °C) and Al2O3 nanoribbons (100% conversion at 250 °C). The catalytic activity increased in the order Cu < Co < Au < Pd for the metal-loaded nanostructures. The preparation methods could be applied for the synthesis of novel nanostructures of various materials with novel properties resulting from the different shapes and morphologies.  相似文献

A series of spherical LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 cathode materials were synthesized through co-oxidation-controlled crystallization method followed by solid-state reaction at different calcination temperatures under oxygen flowing. The crystal structure and particles morphology of the as-prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. All samples correspond to the layered α-NaFeO2 structure with R-3m space group. The LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 prepared at 800 °C presents a better hexagonal ordering structure and better spherical particles and possesses a high tap density of 3.22 g cm?3. Meanwhile, the NCT-2 sample exhibits an advanced electrochemical performance with an initial discharge capacity of 174.2 mAh g?1 and capacity retention of 86.7 % after 30 cycles at 0.2 C.  相似文献

Studies on the sintering of manganese pyrovanadate depending on the temperature and the crystallite size show that we are prevented from obtaining a bulk ceramic sample by the anisotropic growth of grains. Investigation of the electrical properties of Mn2V2O7 in the temperature range of 250–800°C reveals the activation energy at which bulk conductivity is 0.62 eV.  相似文献

Undoped and PbNb2O6:Eu3+ (1.0 ≤ x ≤ 6.0 mol%) phosphors were synthesized at 1100 °C for 3.5 h by the conventional solid state reaction method. Synthesized PbNb2O6:Eu3+ phosphors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Photoluminescence (PL) analyses. The PL spectra showed series of excitation peaks between 350 and 430 nm due to the 4f–4f transitions of Eu3+. For 395.0 nm excitation, emission spectra of Eu3+ doped samples were observed at 591 nm (orange) and 614 nm (red) due to the 5D0 → 7F1 transitions and 5D0 → 7F2 transitions, respectively. PL analysis results also showed that the emission intensity increased by increasing Eu3+ ion content. No concentration quenching effect was observed. The CIE chromaticity color coordinates (x,y) of the PbNb2O6:Eu3+ phosphors were found to be in the red region of the chromaticity diagram.  相似文献

Temperature dependence of the density of two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in Al0.18Ga0.82N/GaN heterostructures has been investigated by means of high temperature Hall measurements ranging from room temperature to 500 °C. It is found that the 2DEG density decreases with increasing temperature in the range from room temperature to 250 °C, and then increases with the temperature above 250 °C. It is thought that the decrease of the 2DEG density from room temperature to 250 °C is caused by the reduction of the conduction band offset at high temperatures. The increase of measured 2DEG density at higher temperatures is attributed to the background electron concentration in the GaN layer. Theoretical calculation of the 2DEG density in Al0.18Ga0.82N/GaN heterostructures at various temperatures is consistent with the experimental results using the multilayer Hall effect model. Ni sintering at high temperature (~ 800 °C) operation drastically degrades the performance of Ni-yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) anode in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). Mixed ionic and electronic conductive oxides such as CeO2 and Nb2O5 enhance the dispersion of Ni, CeO2 enhances the redox behavior and promotes charge transfer reactions, and Nb2O5 increases the triple phase boundary. In the present work, anode-supported SOFC is fabricated and tested in H2 fuel at 800 °C. YSZ and lanthanum strontium manganite (LSM)-YSZ are used as the electrolyte and composite cathode with NiO-YSZ, CeO2-NiO-YSZ, and Nb2O5-NiO-YSZ as an anode. The peak power density obtained for the cell with 10% CeO2–30% NiO-YSZ anode at the 5 and 25 h of operation is 330 and 290 mW cm?2 which is higher than that for 40% NiO-YSZ anode (275 mW cm?2 at 5 h). The peak power density obtained for the cell with 10% Nb2O5–30% NiO-YSZ anode at the 5 and 25 h of operation is 301 and 285 mW cm?2 which is higher than that for 40% NiO-YSZ anode (275 mW cm?2 at 5 h). Physical characterization has been carried to study morphology, elemental analysis, particle size, and phase formation of the fabricated anode before and after cell operation to correlate the cell performance.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples of Ba4SrRTi3V7O30 (R=Sm and Dy), members of the tungsten-bronze family, were prepared using a high-temperature, solid-state reaction technique and studied their electrical properties (using complex impedance spectroscopy) in a wide range of temperature (31–500°C) and frequency (1 kHz-1 MHz). Preliminary structural (XRD) analyses of these compounds show the formation of single-phase, orthorhombic structures at room temperature. The scanning electron micrographs (SEM) provided information on the quality of the samples and uniform distribution of grains over the entire surface of the samples. Detailed studies of the dielectric properties suggest that they have undergone ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition well above the room temperatures (i.e., 432 and 355°C for R= Sm and Dy, respectively, at frequency 100 kHz). Measurements of electrical conductivity (ac and dc) as a function of temperature suggest that the compounds have semiconducting properties much above the room temperature, with negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR) behavior. The existence of ferroelectricity in these compounds was confirmed from a polarization study.   相似文献

The pure phase P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 was synthesized by a solid reaction process. The optimum calcination temperature was 850 °C. The as-prepared product delivered a capacity of 158 mAh g?1 in the voltage range of 2–4.5 V, and there was a phase transition from P2 to O2 at about 4.2 V in the charge process. The P2 phase exhibited excellent intercalation behavior of Na ions. The reversible capacity is about 88.5 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C in the voltage range of 2–4 V at room temperature. At an elevated temperature of 55 °C, it could remain as an excellent capacity retention at low current rates. The P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 is a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Li1,3Ti0,7Al0,3(PO4)3 (LATP) powder was obtained by a conventional melt-quenching method and consolidated by field-assisted sintering technology (FAST) at different temperatures. Using this technique, the samples could be sintered to relative densities in the range of 93 to 99 % depending on the sintering conditions. Ionic and thermal conductivity were measured and the results are discussed under consideration of XRD and SEM analyses. Thermal conductivity values of 2 W/mK and ionic conductivities of 4?×?10?4 Scm?1 at room temperature were obtained using relatively large particles and a sintering temperature of 1000 °C at an applied uniaxial pressure of 50 MPa.  相似文献

By employment of nano-sized pre-prepared Mn3O4 as precursor, LiMn2O4 particles have been successfully prepared by facile solid state method and sol-gel route, respectively. And the reaction mechanism of the used precursors of Mn3O4 is studied. The structure, morphology, and element distribution of the as-synthesized LiMn2O4 samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Compared with LiMn2O4 synthesized by facile solid state method (SS-LMO), LiMn2O4 synthesized by modified sol-gel route (SG-LMO) possesses higher crystallinity, smaller average particle size (~175 nm), higher lithium chemical diffusion coefficient (1.17 × 10?11 cm2 s?1), as well as superior electrochemical performance. For example, the cell based on SG-LMO can deliver a capacity of 85.5 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 5 °C, and manifests 88.3% capacity retention after 100 cycles at 0.5 °C when cycling at 45 °C. The good electrochemical performance of the cell based on SG-LMO is ascribed mainly to its small particle size, high degree of dispersion, and uniform element distribution in bulk material. In addition, the lower polarization potential accelerates Li+ ion migration, and the lower atom location confused degree maintains integrity of crystal structure, both of which can effectively improve the rate capability and cyclability of SG-LMO.  相似文献

In this study, well-crystallized Li4Mn5O12 powder was synthesized by a self-propagating combustion method using citric acid as a reducing agent. Various conditions were studied in order to find the optimal conditions for the synthesis of pure Li4Mn5O12. The precursor obtained was then annealed at different temperatures for 24 h in a furnace. X-ray diffraction results showed that Li4Mn5O12 crystallite is stable at relatively low temperature of 400 °C but decompose to spinel LiMn2O4 and monoclinic Li2MnO3 at temperatures higher than 500 °C. The prepared samples were also characterized by FESEM and charge-discharge tests. The result showed that the specific capacity of 70.7 mAh/g was obtained within potential range of 4.2 to 2.5 V at constant current of 1.0 mA. The electrochemical performances of Li4Mn5O12 material was further discussed in this paper.  相似文献
