A subgroup H of finite group G is called pronormal in G if for every element x of G, H is conjugate to H x in 〈H, H x 〉. A finite group G is called PRN-group if every cyclic subgroup of G of prime order or order 4 is pronormal in G. In this paper, we find all PRN-groups and classify minimal non-PRN-groups (non-PRN-group all of whose proper subgroups are PRN-groups). At the end of the paper, we also classify the finite group G, all of whose second maximal subgroups are PRN-groups.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is called c-normal in G if there exists a normal subgroup N of G such that G = HN and $H \cap N \leq H_{G} = {\rm core}_{G}(H)$. In this paper, we investigate the class of groups of which every maximal subgroup of its Sylow p-subgroup is c-normal and the class of groups of which some minimal subgroups of its Sylow p-subgroup is c-normal for some prime number p. Some interesting results are obtained and consequently, many known results related to p-nilpotent groups and p-supersolvable groups are generalized.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be complemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G=HK and HK=1. In this paper, it is proved that a finite group G is p-nilpotent provided p is the smallest prime number dividing the order of G and every minimal subgroup of the p-focal subgroup of G is complemented in NG(P), where P is a Sylow p-subgroup of G. As some applications, some interesting results related with complemented minimal subgroups of focal subgroups are obtained.  相似文献

The location of quasinormal subgroups in a group is not particularly well known. Maximal ones always have to be normal, but little has been proved about the minimal ones. In finite groups, the difficulties arise in the p-groups. Here we prove that, for every odd prime p, a quasinormal subgroup of order p 2 in a finite p-group G contains a quasinormal subgroup of G of order p. S. Let G be a finite group. A subgroup H of G is called an ?-subgroup in G if N G (H) ∩ H x  ≤ H for all x ∈ G. A subgroup H of G is called weakly ?-subgroup in G if there exists a normal subgroup K of G such that G = HK and HK is an ?-subgroup in G. In this article, we investigate the structure of the finite group G under the assumption that all maximal subgroups of every Sylow subgroup of some normal subgroup of G are weakly ?-subgroups in G. Some recent results are extended and generalized.  相似文献

In this paper, we get the main theorem: Let p be a prime dividing the order of G and , where and H is p -Hall subgroup of G. Let δ be a complete set of Sylow subgroups of H. If G satisfies the following conditions: i) is a p-group; ii) for any maximal M of P, M is δ-permutable in H, then G is p-nilpotent. Some known results are generalized. Let p be a prime number and let G be a finitely generated group that is residually a finite p-group. We prove that if G satisfies a positive law on all elements of the form [a,b][c,d]i, a,b,c,dG and i?0, then the entire derived subgroup G satisfies a positive law. In fact, G is an extension of a nilpotent group by a locally finite group of finite exponent.  相似文献

We obtain the following characterization of the solvable radical R(G) of any finite group G: R(G) coincides with the collection of all gG such that for any 3 elements a1,a2,a3G the subgroup generated by the elements , i=1,2,3, is solvable. In particular, this means that a finite group G is solvable if and only if in each conjugacy class of G every 4 elements generate a solvable subgroup. The latter result also follows from a theorem of P. Flavell on {2,3}-elements in the solvable radical of a finite group (which does not use the classification of finite simple groups).  相似文献

A group G has all of its subgroups normal-by-finite if H/H G is finite for all subgroups H of G. The Tarski-groups provide examples of p-groups (p a “large” prime) of nonlocally finite groups in which every subgroup is normal-by-finite. The aim of this paper is to prove that a 2-group with every subgroup normal-by-finite is locally finite. We also prove that if |H/H G | 6 2 for every subgroup H of G, then G contains an Abelian subgroup of index at most 8.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a group G is called pronormal if, for any element gG, the subgroups H and H g are conjugate in the subgroup <H,H g >. We prove that, if a group G has a normal abelian subgroup V and a subgroup H such that G = HV, then H is pronormal in G if and only if U = N U (H)[H,U] for any H-invariant subgroup U of V. Using this fact, we prove that the simple symplectic group PSp6n (q) with q ≡ ±3 (mod 8) contains a nonpronormal subgroup of odd index. Hence, we disprove the conjecture on the pronormality of subgroups of odd indices in finite simple groups, which was formulated in 2012 by E.P. Vdovin and D.O. Revin and verified by the authors in 2015 for many families of simple finite groups.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a group G is called µ-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K such that G = HK and H 1 K is a proper subgroup in G for every maximal subgroup H 1 in H. For the initial values of p, we establish the p-supersolubility of a finite group with a μ-supplemented Sylow p-subgroup.  相似文献

This note considers a finite group G = HK, which is a product of a subgroup H and a normal subgroup K, and determines subgroups of Aut G. The special case when G is a nonsplit metacyclic p-group, where p is odd, is then considered and the structure of its automorphism group Aut G is given. A subgroup H of a group G is called nearly pronormal in G if, for every subgroup L of the group G that contains H, the normalizer N L (H) is contranormal in L. We prove that if G is a (generalized) solvable group in which every subgroup is nearly pronormal, then all subgroups of G are pronormal. __________ Translated from Ukrains’kyi Matematychnyi Zhurnal, Vol. 59, No. 10, pp. 1331–1338, October, 2007.  相似文献

A p-group G is called a core-p2 group if |H:HG|p2 for every subgroup H of G (where HG denotes the normal core of H in G). In this paper, it is proved that the nilpotent class of a finite core-p2p-group is at most 5 if p3, which is the best upper bound, and the derived length of a finite core-p2p-group is at most 3 if p3, which is also the best upper bound.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be S-quasinormally embedded in G if for each prime p dividing the order of H, a Sylow p-subgroup of H is also a Sylow p-subgroup of some S-quasinormal subgroup of G. In this paper we investigate the structure of finite groups that have some S-quasinormally embedded subgroups of prime-power order, and new criteria for p-nilpotency are obtained.  相似文献

Summary A subgroup H of a group G is said to be π-quasinormal in G if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G, and H is said to be π-quasinormally embedded in G if for each prime dividing the order of H, a Sylow p-subgroup of H is also a Sylow p-subgroup of some π-quasinormal subgroups of G. We characterize p-nilpotentcy of finite groups with the assumption that some maximal subgroups, 2-maximal subgroups, minimal subgroups and 2-minimal subgroups are π-quasinormally embedded, respectively.  相似文献

Let ? be a class of groups and G a finite group. We call a set Σ of subgroups of G a G-covering subgroup system for ? if G ∈ ? whenever Σ ? ?. For a non-identity subgroup H of G, we put Σ H be some set of subgroups of G which contains at least one supplement in G of each maximal subgroup of H. Let p ≠ q be primes dividing |G|, P, and Q be non-identity a p-subgroup and a q-subgroup of G, respectively. We prove that Σ P and Σ P  ∪ Σ Q are G-covering subgroup systems for many classes of finite groups.  相似文献

We call a subgroup H of a finite group G c-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and HK ⩽ core(H). In this paper it is proved that a finite group G is p-nilpotent if G is S 4-free and every minimal subgroup of PG N is c-supplemented in N G (P), and when p = 2 P is quaternion-free, where p is the smallest prime number dividing the order of G, P a Sylow p-subgroup of G. As some applications of this result, some known results are generalized.  相似文献
