Spectroscopic, redox, computational, and electron transfer reactions of the covalently linked zinc porphyrin–triphenylamine–fulleropyrrolidine system are investigated in solvents of varying polarity. An appreciable interaction between triphenylamine and the porphyrin π system is revealed by steady‐state absorption and emission, redox, and computational studies. Free‐energy calculations suggest that the light‐induced processes via the singlet‐excited porphyrin are exothermic in benzonitrile, dichlorobenzene, toluene, and benzene. The occurrence of fast and efficient charge‐separation processes (≈1012 s?1) via the singlet‐excited porphyrin is confirmed by femtosecond transient absorption measurements in solvents with dielectric constants ranging from 25.2 (benzonitrile) to 2.2 (benzene). The rates of the charge separation processes are much less solvent‐dependent, which suggests that the charge‐separation processes occur at the top region of the Marcus parabola. The lifetimes of the singlet radical‐ion pair (70–3000 ps at room temperature) decrease substantially in more polar solvents, which suggests that the charge‐recombination process is occurring in the Marcus inverted region. Interestingly, by utilizing the nanosecond transient absorption spectral technique we can obtain clear evidence about the existence of triplet radical‐ion pairs with relatively long lifetimes of 0.71 μs (in benzonitrile) and 2.2 μs (in o‐dichlorobenzene), but not in toluene and benzene due to energetic considerations. From the point of view of mechanistic information, the synthesized zinc porphyrin–triphenylamine–fulleropyrrolidine system has the advantage that both the lifetimes of the singlet and triplet radical‐ion pair can be determined.  相似文献

A multimodular donor–acceptor tetrad featuring a bis(zinc porphyrin)–(zinc phthalocyanine) ((ZnP–ZnP)–ZnPc) triad and bis‐pyridine‐functionalized fullerene was assembled by a “two‐point” binding strategy, and investigated as a charge‐separating photosynthetic antenna‐reaction center mimic. The spectral and computational studies suggested that the mode of binding of the bis‐pyridine‐functionalized fullerene involves either one of the zinc porphyrin and zinc phthalocyanine (Pc) entities of the triad or both zinc porphyrin entities leaving ZnPc unbound. The binding constant evaluated by constructing a Benesi–Hildebrand plot by using the optical data was found to be 1.17×105 M ?1, whereas a plot of “mole‐ratio” method revealed a 1:1 stoichiometry for the supramolecular tetrad. The mode of binding was further supported by differential pulse voltammetry studies, in which redox modulation of both zinc porphyrin and zinc phthalocyanine entities was observed. The geometry of the tetrad was deduced by B3LYP/6‐31G* optimization, whereas the energy levels for different photochemical events was established by using data from the optical absorption and emission, and electrochemical studies. Excitation of the zinc porphyrin entity of the triad and tetrad revealed ultrafast singlet–singlet energy transfer to the appended zinc phthalocyanine. The estimated rate of energy transfer (kENT) in the case of the triad was found to be 7.5×1011 s?1 in toluene and 6.3×1011 s?1 in o‐dichlorobenzene, respectively. As was predicted from the energy levels, photoinduced electron transfer from the energy‐transfer product, that is, singlet‐excited zinc phthalocyanine to fullerene was verified from the femtosecond‐transient spectral studies, both in o‐dichlorobenzene and toluene. Transient bands corresponding to ZnPc ? + in the 850 nm range and C60 ? ? in the 1020 nm range were clearly observed. The rate of charge separation, kCS, and rate of charge recombination, kCR, for the (ZnP–ZnP)–ZnPc ? +:Py2C60 ? ? radical ion pair (from the time profile of 849 nm peak) were found to be 2.20×1011 and 6.10×108 s?1 in toluene, and 6.82×1011 and 1.20×109 s?1 in o‐dichlorobenzene, respectively. These results revealed efficient energy transfer followed by charge separation in the newly assembled supramolecular tetrad.  相似文献

High oxidation potential perfluorinated zinc phthalocyanines (ZnFnPcs) are synthesised and their spectroscopic, redox, and light‐induced electron‐transfer properties investigated systematically by forming donor–acceptor dyads through metal–ligand axial coordination of fullerene (C60) derivatives. Absorption and fluorescence spectral studies reveal efficient binding of the pyridine‐ (Py) and phenylimidazole‐functionalised fullerene (C60Im) derivatives to the zinc centre of the FnPcs. The determined binding constants, K, in o‐dichlorobenzene for the 1:1 complexes are in the order of 104 to 105 M ?1; nearly an order of magnitude higher than that observed for the dyad formed from zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) lacking fluorine substituents. The geometry and electronic structure of the dyads are determined by using the B3LYP/6‐31G* method. The HOMO and LUMO levels are located on the Pc and C60 entities, respectively; this suggests the formation of ZnFnPc.+–C60Im.? and ZnFnPc.+–C60Py.? (n=0, 8 or 16) intra‐supramolecular charge‐separated states during electron transfer. Electrochemical studies on the ZnPc–C60 dyads enable accurate determination of their oxidation and reduction potentials and the energy of the charge‐separated states. The energy of the charge‐separated state for dyads composed of ZnFnPc is higher than that of normal ZnPc–C60 dyads and reveals their significance in harvesting higher amounts of light energy. Evidence for charge separation in the dyads is secured from femtosecond transient absorption studies in nonpolar toluene. Kinetic evaluation of the cation and anion radical ion peaks reveals ultrafast charge separation and charge recombination in dyads composed of perfluorinated phthalocyanine and fullerene; this implies their significance in solar‐energy harvesting and optoelectronic device building applications.  相似文献

Photoinduced electron transfer was studied in self‐assembled donor–acceptor dyads, formed by axial coordination of pyridine appended with naphthalenediimide (NDI) to zinc naphthalocyanine (ZnNc). The NDI‐py:ZnNc ( 1 ) and NDI(CH2)2‐py:ZnNc ( 2 ) self‐assembled dyads absorb light over a wide region of the UV/Vis/near infrared (NIR) spectrum. The formation constants of the dyads 1 and 2 in toluene were found to be 2.5×104 and 2.2×104 M ?1, respectively, from the steady‐state absorption and emission measurements, suggesting moderately stable complex formation. Fluorescence quenching was observed upon the coordination of the pyridine‐appended NDI to ZnNc in toluene. The energy‐level diagram derived from electrochemical and optical data suggests that exergonic charge separation through the singlet state of ZnNc (1ZnNc*) provides the main quenching pathway. Clear evidence for charge separation from the singlet state of ZnNc to NDI was provided by femtosecond laser photolysis measurements of the characteristic absorption bands of the ZnNc radical cation in the NIR region at 960 nm and the NDI radical anion in the visible region. The rates of charge‐separation of 1 and 2 were found to be 2.2×1010 and 4.4×109 s?1, respectively, indicating fast and efficient charge separation (CS). The rates of charge recombination (CR) and the lifetimes of the charge‐separated states were found to be 8.50×108 s?1 (1.2 ns) for 1 and 1.90×108 s?1 (5.3 ns) for 2 . These values indicate that the rates of the CS and CR processes decrease as the length of the spacer increases. Their absorption over a wide portion of the solar spectrum and the high ratio of the CS/CR rates suggests that the self‐assembled NDI‐py:ZnNc and NDI(CH2)2‐py:ZnNc dyads are useful as photosynthetic models.  相似文献

An efficient functional mimic of the photosynthetic antenna‐reaction center has been designed and synthesized. The model contains a near‐infrared‐absorbing aza‐boron‐dipyrromethene (ADP) that is connected to a monostyryl boron‐dipyrromethene (BDP) by a click reaction and to a fullerene (C60) using the Prato reaction. The intramolecular photoinduced energy and electron‐transfer processes of this triad as well as the corresponding dyads BDP‐ADP and ADP‐C60 have been studied with steady‐state and time‐resolved absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic methods in benzonitrile. Upon excitation, the BDP moiety of the triad is significantly quenched due to energy transfer to the ADP core, which subsequently transfers an electron to the fullerene unit. Cyclic and differential pulse voltammetric studies have revealed the redox states of the components, which allow estimation of the energies of the charge‐separated states. Such calculations show that electron transfer from the singlet excited ADP (1ADP*) to C60 yielding ADP.+‐C60.? is energetically favorable. By using femtosecond laser flash photolysis, concrete evidence has been obtained for the occurrence of energy transfer from 1BDP* to ADP in the dyad BDP‐ADP and electron transfer from 1ADP* to C60 in the dyad ADP‐C60. Sequential energy and electron transfer have also been clearly observed in the triad BDP‐ADP‐C60. By monitoring the rise of ADP emission, it has been found that the rate of energy transfer is fast (≈1011 s?1). The dynamics of electron transfer through 1ADP* has also been studied by monitoring the formation of C60 radical anion at 1000 nm. A fast charge‐separation process from 1ADP* to C60 has been detected, which gives the relatively long‐lived BDP‐ADP.+C60.? with a lifetime of 1.47 ns. As shown by nanosecond transient absorption measurements, the charge‐separated state decays slowly to populate mainly the triplet state of ADP before returning to the ground state. These findings show that the dyads BDP‐ADP and ADP‐C60, and the triad BDP‐ADP‐C60 are interesting artificial analogues that can mimic the antenna and reaction center of the natural photosynthetic systems.  相似文献

A systematic fluorescence and flash photolytic investigation of a series of covalently linked fullerene / ferrocene based donor-bridge-acceptor dyads is reported as a function of the nature of the bridge between the donor site and acceptor site. The fluorescence of the investigated dyads 2rel = 0.17 × 10?4, 3rel = 0.78 × 10?4), 4rel = 1.5 × 10?4), 5rel = 0.7 × 10?4), and 6rel = 2.9 × 10?4) were substantially quenched, relative to N-methyl fulleropyrrolidine (1) (Φrel = 6.0 × 10?4). Photolysis of N-methyl fulleropyrrolidine (1) in toluene revealed formation of the excited singlet state which was followed by a rapid intersystem crossing to the excited triplet state. On the other hand, the fate of the excited singlet state of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 was found to be governed by rapid intramolecular quenching, with rate constants of 28×109 s?1, 6.9×109 s?1, and 3.4×109 s?1, 14×109 s?1, 2.3×109 s?1 respectively. The electron transfer process and the charge separation were confirmed by monitoring the characteristic π-radical anion bands at λmax = 400 and 1055 nm in degassed benzonitrile with τ1/2 = 1.8 μs (3) and 2.5 μs (4).  相似文献

A tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) donor is annulated to porphyrins (P) via quinoxaline linkers to form novel symmetric P–TTF–P triads 1 a – c and asymmetric P–TTF dyads 2 a , b in good yields. These planar and extended π‐conjugated molecules absorb light over a wide region of the UV/Vis spectrum as a result of additional charge‐transfer excitations within the donor–acceptor assemblies. Quantum‐chemical calculations elucidate the nature of the electronically excited states. The compounds are electrochemically amphoteric and primarily exhibit low oxidation potentials. Cyclic voltammetric and spectroelectrochemical studies allow differentiation between the TTF and porphyrin sites with respect to the multiple redox processes occurring within these molecular assemblies. Transient absorption measurements give insight into the excited‐state events and deliver corresponding kinetic data. Femtosecond transient absorption spectra in benzonitrile may suggest the occurrence of fast charge separation from TTF to porphyrin in dyads 2 a , b but not in triads 1 a – c . Clear evidence for a photoinduced and relatively long lived charge‐separated state (385 ps lifetime) is obtained for a supramolecular coordination compound built from the ZnP–TTF dyad and a pyridine‐functionalized C60 acceptor unit. This specific excited state results in a (ZnP–TTF)?+ ??? (C60py)?? state. The binding constant of ZnII ??? py is evaluated by constructing a Benesi–Hildebrand plot based on fluorescence data. This plot yields a binding constant K of 7.20×104 M ?1, which is remarkably high for bonding of pyridine to ZnP.  相似文献

The direct electrochemistry of glucose oxidase (GOD) immobilized on the designed titanium carbide‐Au nanoparticles‐fullerene C60 composite film modified glassy carbon electrode (TiC‐AuNPs‐C60/GCE) and its biosensing for glucose were investigated. UV‐visible and Fourier‐transform infrared spectra of the resulting GOD/TiC‐AuNPs‐C60 composite film suggested that the immobilized GOD retained its original structure. The direct electron transfer behaviors of immobilized GOD at the GOD/TiC‐AuNPs‐C60/GCE were investigated by cyclic voltammetry in which a pair of well‐defined, quasi‐reversible redox peaks with the formal potential (E0′) of ‐0.484 V (vs. SCE) in phosphate buffer solution (0.05 M, pH 7.0) at the scan rate of 100 mV·s?1 were obtained. The proposed GOD modified electrode exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity to the reduction of glucose, and the currents of glucose reduction peak were linearly related to glucose concentration in a wider linearity range from 5.0 × 10?6 to 1.6 × 10?4 M with a correlation coefficient of 0.9965 and a detection limit of 2.0 × 10?6 M (S/N = 3). The sensitivity and the apparent Michaelis‐Menten constant (KMapp) were determined to be 149.3 μA·mM?1·cm?2 and 6.2 × 10?5 M, respectively. Thus, the protocol will have potential application in studying the electron transfer of enzyme and the design of novel electrochemical biosensors.  相似文献

We report here the design and synthesis of porphyrin–metallocene dyads consisting of a metallocene [either ferrocene or mixed sandwich η5‐[C5H4(COOH)]Co(η4‐C4Ph4) connected via an ester linkage at meso phenyl position of either free‐base or zinc porphyrin. All these dyad systems were characterized by various spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. A dimeric form of this molecule was observed in the X‐ray crystal structure of Zn‐TTPCo. The absorption spectra of all four dyads indicated the absence of electronic interactions between porphyrin macrocycle and metallocene in the ground state. However, interestingly, in all four dyads, fluorescence emission of the porphyrin was quenched (19–55%) as compared to their monomeric units. The quenching was more pronounced in ferrocene derivatives rather than cobaltocenyl derivatives. The emission quenching can be attributed to the excited‐state intramolecular photoinduced electron transfer from metallocene to singlet excited state of porphyrin and the electron‐transfer rates (kET) were established in the range 1.51 × 108 to 1.11 × 109 s?1. They were found to be solvent dependent.  相似文献

New multi‐modular donor–acceptor conjugates featuring zinc porphyrin (ZnP), catechol‐chelated boron dipyrrin (BDP), triphenylamine (TPA) and fullerene (C60), or naphthalenediimide (NDI) have been newly designed and synthesized as photosynthetic antenna and reaction‐center mimics. The X‐ray structure of triphenylamine‐BDP is also reported. The wide‐band capturing polyad revealed ultrafast energy‐transfer (kENT=1.0×1012 s?1) from the singlet excited BDP to the covalently linked ZnP owing to close proximity and favorable orientation of the entities. Introducing either fullerene or naphthalenediimide electron acceptors to the TPA‐BDP‐ZnP triad through metal–ligand axial coordination resulted in electron donor–acceptor polyads whose structures were revealed by spectroscopic, electrochemical and computational studies. Excitation of the electron donor, zinc porphyrin resulted in rapid electron‐transfer to coordinated fullerene or naphthalenediimide yielding charge separated ion‐pair species. The measured electron transfer rate constants from femtosecond transient spectral technique in non‐polar toluene were in the range of 5.0×109–3.5×1010 s?1. Stabilization of the charge‐separated state in these multi‐modular donor–acceptor polyads is also observed to certain level.  相似文献

The usefulness of a C60‐fullerene modified gold (Au) electrode in mediating the oxidation of methionine in the presence of potassium ions electrolyte has been demonstrated. During cyclic voltammetry, an oxidation peak of methionine appearing at +1.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl was observed. The oxidation current of methionine is enhanced by about 2 times using a C60 modified gold electrode. The current enhancement is significantly dependent on pH, temperature and C60 dosage. Calibration plot reveals linearity of up to 0.1 mM with a current sensitivity of close to 50 mA L mol?1 and detection limit of 8.2×10?6 M. The variation of scan rate study shows that the system undergoes diffusion‐controlled process. Diffusion coefficient and rate constant of methionine were determined using hydrodynamic method (rotating disk electrode) with values of 1.11×10?5 cm2 s?1 and 0.0026 cm s?1 respectively for unmodified electrode while the values of diffusion coefficient and rate constant of methionine using C60 modified Au electrode are 5.7×10?6 cm2 s?1 and 0.0021 cm s?1 respectively.  相似文献

Multiarm star‐branched polymers based on poly(styrene‐b‐isobutylene) (PS‐PIB) block copolymer arms were synthesized under controlled/living cationic polymerization conditions using the 2‐chloro‐2‐propylbenzene (CCl)/TiCl4/pyridine (Py) initiating system and divinylbenzene (DVB) as gel‐core‐forming comonomer. To optimize the timing of isobutylene (IB) addition to living PS⊕, the kinetics of styrene (St) polymerization at −80°C were measured in both 60 : 40 (v : v) methyl cyclohexane (MCHx) : MeCl and 60 : 40 hexane : MeCl cosolvents. For either cosolvent system, it was found that the polymerizations followed first‐order kinetics with respect to the monomer and the number of actively growing chains remained invariant. The rate of polymerization was slower in MCHx : MeCl (kapp = 2.5 × 10−3 s−1) compared with hexane : MeCl (kapp = 5.6 × 10−3 s−1) ([CCl]o = [TiCl4]/15 = 3.64 × 10−3M; [Py] = 4 × 10−3M; [St]o = 0.35M). Intermolecular alkylation reactions were observed at [St]o = 0.93M but could be suppressed by avoiding very high St conversion and by setting [St]o ≤ 0.35M. For St polymerization, kapp = 1.1 × 10−3 s−1 ([CCl]o = [TiCl4]/15 = 1.82 × 10−3M; [Py] = 4 × 10−3M; [St]o = 0.35M); this was significantly higher than that observed for IB polymerization (kapp = 3.0 × 10−4 s−1; [CCl]o = [Py] = [TiCl4]/15 = 1.86 × 10−3M; [IB]o = 1.0M). Blocking efficiencies were higher in hexane : MeCl compared with MCHx : MeCl cosolvent system. Star formation was faster with PS‐PIB arms compared with PIB homopolymer arms under similar conditions. Using [DVB] = 5.6 × 10−2M = 10 times chain end concentration, 92% of PS‐PIB arms (Mn,PS = 2600 and Mn,PIB = 13,400 g/mol) were linked within 1 h at −80°C with negligible star–star coupling. It was difficult to achieve complete linking of all the arms prior to the onset of star–star coupling. Apparently, the presence of the St block allows the PS‐PIB block copolymer arms to be incorporated into growing star polymers by an additional mechanism, namely, electrophilic aromatic substitution (EAS), which leads to increased rates of star formation and greater tendency toward star–star coupling. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. We have carried out relative rate experiments (T = 294 ± 2 K, atmospheric pressure) to investigate the OH‐oxidation of o‐, m‐, and p‐ethyltoluene and n‐nonane (k1, k2, k3, and k4 respectively). The experiments were performed in a 2‐m3 smog chamber with Teflon coated walls. The rate constants obtained are (in cm3 molecule?1 s?1 with two sigma uncertainties): k1 = (1.36 ± 0.07) × 10?11; k2 = (2.12 ± 0.26) × 10?11; k3 = (1.47 ± 0.04) × 10?11, and k4 = (0.95 ± 0.02) × 10?11. The measured rate constants are in accordance with previously published data, so that a coherent group of values for the compounds studied can be established. Atmospheric implications, ozone, and particle production are discussed. In addition, we have determined the amount of o‐, m‐, and p‐ethyltoluenes in different types of gasoline. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Chem Kinet 36: 367–378 2004  相似文献

The article describes the use of a fullerene (C60)‐β‐cyclodextrin conjugate, synthesized via 1,3dipolar cycloaddition, for the ultrasensitive electrochemical detection of p‐nitrophenol. This conjugate was successfully immobilized on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode and the developed device showed high activity towards p‐nitrophenol due to the synergetic effect of C60, the latter becoming highly conductive upon reduction. The determination of p‐nitrophenol was performed by using square wave voltammetry over a concentration range from 2.8×10?9 mol L?1 to 4.2×10?7 mol L?1 and the detection limit was calculated to be 1.2×10?9 mol L?1.  相似文献

An assembly has been synthesised that consists of four units: a meso‐substituted corrole (C3), perylene bisimide (PI), and two electron‐rich triphenylamine (DPA) units. PI is connected through a 1,4‐phenylene bridge to C3, whereas the two DPA units are linked to C3 through a diphenyl ether linkage, which is used for the first time to connect the various moieties. Various synthetic strategies were elaborated, and the chosen one afforded the final system in six steps in an overall yield of 6 %. The resulting assembly, made of three different units, was named a “triad”. Excitation of the corrole (C3) or perylene bisimide (PI) units led to the charge‐separated state DPA‐C3+‐PI? with a rate k>1011 s?1 in benzonitrile and dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) or with k of the order of 1010 s?1 in toluene. The latter charge‐separated state decayed to the ground state with a rate k=1.8×109 s?1 in toluene. In the polar solvents benzonitrile and dichloromethane, recombination to the ground state competes with a charge shift to form the distal charge‐separated state, DPA+‐C3‐PI?, the formation of which occurs with a yield of 50 %. Recombination to the ground state of DPA+‐C3‐PI? occurs with a rate k=5×107 s?1 in CH2Cl2 and k=2×107 s?1 in benzonitrile.  相似文献

A new electrochemical method was proposed for the determination of adenosine‐5′‐triphosphate (ATP) based on the electrooxidation at a molecular wire (MW) modified carbon paste electrode (CPE), which was fabricated with diphenylacetylene (DPA) as the binder. A single well‐defined irreversible oxidation peak of ATP appeared on MW‐CPE with adsorption‐controlled process and enhanced electrochemical response in a pH 3.0 Britton‐Robinson buffer solution, which was due to the presence of high conductive DPA in the electrode. The electrochemical parameters of ATP were calculated with the electron transfer coefficient (α) as 0.54, the electron transfer number (n) as 1.9, the apparent heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (ks) as 2.67 × 10?5 s?1 and the surface coverage (ΓT) as 4.15 × 10?10 mol cm?2. Under the selected conditions the oxidation peak current was proportional to ATP concentration in the range from 1.0 × 10?7 mol L?1 to 2.0 × 10?3 mol L?1 with the detection limit as 1.28 × 10?8 mol L?1 (3σ) by sensitive differential pulse voltammetry. The proposed method showed good selectivity without the interferences of coexisting substances and was successful applied to the ATP injection samples detection.  相似文献

The photoinduced electron‐transfer reaction of N, N, N', N'‐tetra‐(p‐methylphenyl)‐4,4'‐diamino‐1,1'‐diphenyl ether (TPDAE) and fullerenes (C60/C70) by nanosecond laser flash photolysis occurred in benzonitrile. Transient absorption spectral measurements were carried out during 532 nm laser flash photolysis of a mixture of the fullerenes (C60/C70) and TPDAE. The electron transfer from the TPDAE to excited triplet state of the fullerenes (C60/C70) quantum yields and rate constants of electron transfer from TPDAE to excited triplet state of fullerenes (C60/C70) in benzonitrile have been evaluated by observing the transient absorption bands in the near‐IR region where the excited triplet state, radical anion of fullerenes (C60/C70) and radical cations of TPDAE are expected to appear.  相似文献

The kinetics of C6H5 reactions with n‐CnH2n+2 (n = 3, 4, 6, 8) have been studied by the pulsed laser photolysis/mass spectrometric method using C6H5COCH3 as the phenyl precursor at temperatures between 494 and 1051 K. The rate constants were determined by kinetic modeling of the absolute yields of C6H6 at each temperature. Another major product C6H5CH3 formed by the recombination of C6H5 and CH3 could also be quantitatively modeled using the known rate constant for the reaction. A weighted least‐squares analysis of the four sets of data gave k (C3H8) = (1.96 ± 0.15) × 1011 exp[?(1938 ± 56)/T], and k (n‐C4H10) = (2.65 ± 0.23) × 1011 exp[?(1950 ± 55)/T] k (n‐C6H14) = (4.56 ± 0.21) × 1011 exp[?(1735 ± 55)/T], and k (n?C8H18) = (4.31 ± 0.39) × 1011 exp[?(1415 ± 65)T] cm3 mol?1 s?1 for the temperature range studied. For the butane and hexane reactions, we have also applied the CRDS technique to extend our temperature range down to 297 K; the results obtained by the decay of C6H5 with CRDS agree fully with those determined by absolute product yield measurements with PLP/MS. Weighted least‐squares analyses of these two sets of data gave rise to k (n?C4H10) = (2.70 ± 0.15) × 1011 exp[?(1880 ± 127)/T] and k (n?C6H14) = (4.81 ± 0.30) × 1011 exp[?(1780 ± 133)/T] cm3 mol?1 s?1 for the temperature range 297‐‐1046 K. From the absolute rate constants for the two larger molecular reactions (C6H5 + n‐C6H14 and n‐C8H18), we derived the rate constant for H‐abstraction from a secondary C? H bond, ks?CH = (4.19 ± 0.24) × 1010 exp[?(1770 ± 48)/T] cm3 mol?1 s?1. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Chem Kinet 36: 49–56, 2004  相似文献

Two well‐defined alternating π‐conjugated polymers containing a soluble electroactive benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]difuran (BDF) chromophore, poly(BDF‐(9‐phenylcarbazole)) (PBDFC), and poly(BDF‐benzothiadiazole) (PBDFBTD) were synthesized via Sonogashira copolymerizations. Their optical, electrochemical, and field‐effect charge transport properties were characterized and compared with those of the corresponding homopolymer PBDF and random copolymers of the same overall composition. All these polymers cover broad optical absorption ranges from 250 to 750 nm with narrow optical band gaps of 1.78–2.35 eV. Both PBDF and PBDFBTD show ambipolar redox properties with HOMO levels of ?5.38 and ?5.09 eV, respectively. The field‐effect mobility of holes varies from 2.9 × 10?8 cm2 V?1 s?1 in PBDF to 1.0 × 10?5 cm2 V?1 s?1 in PBDFBTD. Bulk heterojunction solar cell devices were fabricated using the polymers as the electron donor and [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester as the electron acceptor, leading to power conversion efficiencies of 0.24–0.57% under air mass 1.5 illumination (100 mW cm?2). These results indicate that their band gaps, molecular electronic energy levels, charge mobilities, and molecular weights are readily tuned by copolymerizing the BDF core with different π‐conjugated units. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. β,β‐(1,4‐Dithiino)subporphyrin dimers 7‐syn and 7‐anti were synthesized by the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction of 2‐bromo‐3‐(4‐methoxyphenylsulfonyl)subporphyrin 4 with 2,3‐dimercaptosubporphyrin 5 under basic conditions followed by axial arylation. Additions of C60 or C70 to a dilute solution of 7‐anti (ca. 10?6 m ) in toluene did not cause appreciable UV/Vis spectral changes, while similar additions to a concentrated solution (ca. 10?3 m ) resulted in precipitation of complexes. In contrast, dimer 7‐syn captured C60 and C70 in different complexation stoichiometries in toluene; a 1:1 manner and a 2:1 manner, respectively, with large association constants; Ka=(1.9±0.2)×106 m ?1 for C60@ 7‐syn , and K1=(1.6±0.5)×106 and K2=(1.8±0.9)×105 m ?1 for C70@( 7‐syn )2. These association constants are the largest for fullerenes‐capture by bowl‐shaped molecules reported so far. The structures of C60@ 7‐anti , C70@ 7‐anti , C60@ 7‐syn , and C70@ 7‐syn have been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献
