The hexanuclear thioguanidine mixed‐valent copper complex cation [Cu6(NGuaS)6]+2 (NGuaS = o‐SC6H4NC(NMe2)2) and its oxidized/reduced states are theoretically analyzed by means of density functional theory (DFT) (TPSSh + D3BJ/def2‐TZV (p)). A detailed bonding analysis using overlap populations is performed. We find that a delocalized Cu‐based ring orbital serves as an acceptor for donated S p electrons. The formed fully delocalized orbitals give rise to a confined electron cloud within the Cu6S6 cage which becomes larger on reduction. The resulting strong electrostatic repulsion might prevent the fully reduced state. Experimental UV/Vis spectra are explained using time‐dependent density functional theory (TD‐DFT) and analyzed with a natural transition orbital analysis. The spectra are dominated by MLCTs within the Cu6S6 core over a wide range but LMCTs are also found. The experimental redshift of the reduced low energy absorption band can be explained by the clustering of the frontier orbitals. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The reaction of CuCl2 · 2 H2O, 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen), suberic acid and Na2CO3 in a CH3CN–H2O solution yielded blue needle‐like crystals of [Cu2(phen)2(C8H12O4)2] · 3 H2O. The crystal structure (monoclinic, P21/n, a = 10.756(2) Å, b = 9.790(2) Å, c = 18.593(4) Å, β = 91.15(3)°, Z = 2, R = 0.043, wR2 = 0.1238) consists of suberato‐bridged [Cu2(phen)2(C8H12O4)4/2] layers and hydrogen bonded H2O molecules. The Cu atoms are coordinated by two N atoms from one bidentate chelating phen ligand and three carboxyl O atoms from different suberato ligands to form distorted [CuN2O3] square‐pyramids with one carboxyl O atom at the apical position (d(Cu–N) = 2.017(2), 2.043(3) Å, basal d(Cu–O) = 1.936(2), 1.951(2) Å and axial d(Cu–O) = 2.389(2) Å). Two [CuN2O3] square‐pyramids are condensed via a common O–O edge to a centrosymmetric [Cu2N4O4] dimer with the Cu…Cu distance of 3.406(1) Å indicating no interaction between Cu atoms. The resultant [Cu2N4O4] dimers are interlinked by the tridentate suberato ligands to form [Cu2(phen)2(C8H12O4)4/2] layers parallel to (101). These are assembled via π‐π stacking interactions into 3D network with H2O molecules in the tunnels extending in the [010] direction.  相似文献

The blue tetranuclear CuII complexes {[Cu(bpy)(OH)]4Cl2}Cl2 · 6 H2O ( 1 ) and {[Cu(phen)(OH)]4(H2O)2}Cl4 · 4 H2O ( 2 ) were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction. ( 1 ): P 1 (no. 2), a = 9.240(1) Å, b = 10.366(2) Å, c = 12.973(2) Å, α = 85.76(1)°, β = 75.94(1)°, γ = 72.94(1)°, V = 1152.2(4) Å3, Z = 1; ( 2 ): P 1 (no. 2), a = 9.770(3) Å, b = 10.118(3) Å, c = 14.258(4) Å, α = 83.72(2)°, β = 70.31(1)°, γ = 70.63(1)°, V = 1252.0(9) Å3, Z = 1. The building units are centrosymmetric tetranuclear {[Cu(bpy)(OH)]4Cl2}2+ and {[Cu(phen)(OH)]4(H2O)2}4+ complex cations formed by condensation of four elongated square pyramids CuN2(OH)2Lap with the apical ligands Lap = Cl, H2O, OH. The resulting [Cu42‐OH)23‐OH)2] core has the shape of a zigzag band of three Cu2(OH)2 squares. The cations exhibit intramolecular and intermolecular π‐π stacking interactions and the latter form 2D layers with the non‐bonded Cl anions and H2O molecules in between (bond lengths: Cu–N = 1.995–2.038 Å; Cu–O = 1.927–1.982 Å; Cu–Clap = 2.563; Cu–Oap(OH) = 2.334–2.369 Å; Cu–Oap(H2O) = 2.256 Å). The Cu…Cu distances of about 2.93 Å do not indicate direct interactions, but the strongly reduced magnetic moment of about 2.74 B.M. corresponds with only two unpaired electrons per formula unit of 1 (1.37 B.M./Cu) and obviously results from intramolecular spin couplings (χm(T‐θ) = 0.933 cm3 · mol–1 · K with θ = –0.7 K).  相似文献

The CuII ion in the title complex, [Cu(C5H10NO3)2] or [Cu(He‐ala)2] [He‐ala = N‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐β‐alaninate], resides at the inversion centre of a square bipyramid comprised of two facially arranged tridentate He‐ala ligands. Each He‐ala ligand binds to a CuII ion by forming one six‐membered β‐alaninate chelate ring in a twist conformation and one five‐membered ethanolamine ring in an envelope conformation, with Cu—N = 2.017 (2) Å, Cu—OCOO = 1.968 (1) Å and Cu—OOH = 2.473 (2) Å. The [Cu(He‐ala)2] molecules are involved in a network of O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the (10) plane. The layers are connected into a three‐dimensional structure by van der Waals interactions, so that the molecular centres form pseudo‐face‐centered close packing.  相似文献

Coordination Polymeric 1, 2‐Dithiooxalato and 1, 2‐Dithiosquarato Complexes. Syntheses and Structures of [BaCr2(bipy)2(1, 2‐dtox)4(H2O)2], [Ni(cyclam)(1, 2‐dtsq)]·2DMF, [Ni(cyclam)Mn(1, 2‐dtsq)2(H2O)2]·2H22, and [H3O][H5O2][Cu(cyclam)]3[Cu2(1, 2‐dtsq)3]2 1, 2‐Dithioxalate and 1, 2‐dithiosquarate ions have a pair of soft and hard donor centers and thus are suited for the formation of coordination polymeric complexes containing soft and hard metal ions. The structures of four compounds with building blocks containing these ligands are reported: In [BaCr2(bipy)2(1, 2‐dtox)4(H2O)2] Barium ions and pairs of Cr(bipy)(1, 2‐dtox)2 complexes form linear chains by the bisbidentate coordination of the dithiooxalate ligands towards Ba2+ and Cr3+. In [Ni(cyclam)(1, 2‐dtsq)]·2DMF short NÖH···O hydrogen bonds link the NiS2N4‐octahedra with C2v‐symmetry to an infinite chain. In [Ni(cyclam)Mn(1, 2‐dtsq)2(H2O)2]·2H2O the 1, 2‐dithiosquarato ligand shows a rare example of S‐coordination towards manganese(II). The sulfur atoms of cis‐MnO2S4‐polyedra are weakly coordinated towards the axial sites of square‐planar NiN4‐centers, thus forming a zig‐zag‐chain of Mn···Ni···Mn···Ni polyhedra. [H3O][H5O2][Cu (cyclam)]3[Cu2(1, 2‐dtsq)3]2 contains square planar [CuII(cyclam)]2+ ions and dinuclear [CuI2(1, 2‐dtsq)3]4— ions. Here each copper atom is trigonally planar coordinated by S‐donor atoms of the ligands. The Cu…Cu distance is 2.861(4)Å.  相似文献

The blue copper complex [Cu2(H2O)2(phen)2(OH)2][Cu2(phen)2(OH)2(CO3)2] · 10 H2O, which was prepared by reaction of 1,10‐phenanthroline monohydrate, CuCl2 · 2 H2O and Na2CO3 in the presence of succinic acid in CH3OH/H2O at pH = 13.0, crystallized in the triclinic space group P1 (no. 2) with cell dimensions: a = 9.515(1) Å, b = 12.039(1) Å, c = 12.412(2) Å, α = 70.16(1)°, β = 85.45(1)°, γ = 81.85(1)°, V = 1323.2(2) Å3, Z = 1. The crystal structure consists of dinuclear [Cu2(H2O)2(phen)2(OH)2]2+ complex cations, dinuclear [Cu2(phen)2(OH)2(CO3)2]2– complex anions and hydrogen bonded H2O molecules. In both the centrosymmetric dinuclear cation and anion, the Cu atoms are coordinated by two N atoms of one phen ligand, three O atoms of two μ‐OH groups and respectively one H2O molecule or one CO32– anion to complete distorted [CuN2O3] square‐pyramids with the H2O molecule or the CO32– anion at the apical position (equatorial d(Cu–O) = 1.939–1.961 Å, d(Cu–N) = 2.026–2.051 Å and axial d(Cu–O) = 2.194, 2.252 Å). Two adjacent [CuN2O3] square pyramids are condensed via two μ‐OH groups. Through the interionic hydrogen bonds, the dinuclear cations and anions are linked into 1D chains with parallel phen ligands on both sides. Interdigitation of phen ligands of neighboring 1D chains generated 2D layers, between which the hydrogen bonded water molecules are sandwiched.  相似文献

Cyclam derivatives and their metal complexes have been found to exhibit an anti‐HIV effect and stimulate the activity of stem cells from bone marrow. The strength of their binding to the CXCR4 receptor correlates with anti‐HIV and stem‐cell activities. Knowledge of the conformation and crystal packing of various macrocyclic metal complexes has become important in developing new effective anti‐HIV drugs. The synthesis and preparation of single crystals of a new Cu2+‐doped macrocyclic compound, (3,14‐diethyl‐2,6,13,17‐tetraazatricyclo[16.4.0.07,12]docosane)copper(II) bis(perchlorate)–3,14‐diethyl‐2,13‐diaza‐6,17‐diazoniatricyclo[16.4.0.07,12]docosane bis(perchlorate) (0.69/0.31), {[Cu(C22H44N4)](ClO4)2}0.69·(C22H46N42+·2ClO4?)0.31, is reported. Characterization by X‐ray diffraction analysis shows that the asymmetric unit contains half of a centrosymmetric molecule. The macrocyclic ligand in the compound adopts the most stable trans‐III conformation. The Cu—N distances of 2.015 (3) and 2.047 (3) Å are normal, but the long axial Cu—O bond of 2.795 (3) Å may be due to a combination of the Jahn–Teller effect and the strong in‐plane ligand field. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonding between secondary N—H groups, the N atoms of the macrocycle and the O atoms of the perchlorate anions. Hirshfeld surface analysis with 2D (two‐dimensional) fingerprint plots indicates that the main contributions to the crystal packing are from H…H (58.0%) and H…O/O…H (41.9%) interactions. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) properties are also described.  相似文献

The title compund, [Cu2(OH)2(C22H25N3)2](ClO4)2, is a copper(II) dimer, with two [CuL]2+ units [L is bis(6‐methyl‐2‐pyridylmethyl)(2‐phenylethyl)amine] bridged by hydroxide groups to define the {[CuL](μ‐OH)2[CuL]}2+ cation. Charge balance is provided by perchlorate counter‐anions. The cation has a crystallographic inversion centre halfway between the CuII ions, which are separated by 3.0161 (8) Å. The central core of the cation is an almost regular Cu2O2 parallelogram of sides 1.931 (2) and 1.935 (2) Å, with a Cu—O—Cu angle of 102.55 (11)°. The coordination geometry around each CuII centre can be best described as a square‐based pyramid, with three N atoms from L ligands and two hydroxide O atoms completing the coordination environment. Each cationic unit is hydrogen bonded to two perchlorate anions by means of hydroxide–perchlorate O—H...O interactions.  相似文献

We present here the first examples of Cu–azide compounds synthesized by using protonated diamine ions as cationic templates: (dmenH2)[Cu6(N3)14] and (trimenH2)[Cu6(N3)14] (dmenH22+: N,N′‐dimethylethylenediammonium; trimenH22+: N,N,N′‐trimethylethylenediammonium). Both compounds possess a similar, rarely observed anionic Cu–azide layer, which consists of [Cu6(N3)142?]n anionic chains linked by asymmetric end‐to‐end azido bridges. The chain, in turn, is made up of elongated Cu6 rings, with double and single end‐on azido linkages between the square‐planar Cu2+ sites within the ring and double end‐on azido bridges serially connecting the rings. The molecular geometry results in ferromagnetic interactions within the Cu–azide layer in both compounds. The interlayer separations are determined by the cations, with the shortest interlayer Cu???Cu separations being 8.016 Å for the dmenH22+ compound and 9.106 Å for the trimenH22+ compound. These different interlayer separations tune the magnetic properties of the two materials. The dmenH22+ compound displays long‐range antiferromagnetic ordering at lowtemperature and short‐range ferromagnetic interaction at high temperature, while only short‐range ferromagnetism was observed in the trimenH22+compound at 2–300 K.  相似文献

M[B(CN)4]2: Two new Tetracyanoborate Compounds with divalent Cations (M = Zn, Cu) The reaction of ZnO or CuO with [H3O][B(CN)4] in aqueous solution yielded single crystals of Zn[B(CN)4]2 and Cu[B(CN)4]2, respectively. The compounds were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Zn[B(CN)4]2 ( (no. 164), a = b = 7.5092(9) Å, c = 6.0159(6) Å, Z = 1) crystallizes isotypic with Hg[B(CN)4]2. The structure of Cu[B(CN)4]2 (C2/m (no. 12), a = 13.185(3) Å, b = 7.2919(9) Å, c = 6.029(1) Å, β = 93.02(2)°, Z = 2) can be considered as a super‐structure, resulting from Jahn‐Teller distortion of the Cu2+ ions. Magnetic measurements were performed for the copper compound. Vibrational spectra and thermal stabilities were compared with the known mercury(II) tetracyanoborate.  相似文献

The salts [Cu(phen)3][Cu(pheida)2]·10H2O ( 1 ) and [(phen)2Cu(μ‐BAAP)Cu(μ‐BAAP)Cu(phen)2][Cu(BAAP)2]·8.5H2O ( 2 ) (H2pheida = N‐phenetyl‐iminodiacetic acid, H2BAAP = N‐benzylaminoacetic‐2‐propionic acid, phen = 1, 10‐phenanthroline) have been prepared and studied by thermal, spectroscopic and X‐ray diffraction methods. 1 has the rather unusual [Cu(phen)3]2+ cation and two non‐equivalent [Cu(pheida)2]2— anions with a coordination type 4+2 but quite different tetragonality (T = 0.848 and 0.703 for anions 1 and 2, respectively). The crystal consists of multi‐π, π‐stacked chains (…anion 2 — cation — cation — anion 2…) connected by hydrophobic interactions; these chains build channels which are partially filled by anions 1 and water molecules. In contrast, compound 2 has a mixed‐ligand trinuclear cation with a bridging central moiety close similar to the counter anion. The formation of such a trinuclear cation is discussed as a consequence of the most advantageous molecular recognition process between [Cu(phen)2(H2O)1 or 2]2+ and [Cu(BAAP)2]2— in solution. In the crystal of 2, multi‐π, π‐stacked arrays of C6‐rings from phen and (BAAP)2— ligands of trinuclear cations generate channels where counter anions and water molecules are located.  相似文献

Partial reduction of the CuII ions in the aqueous system CuII–en–[Ni(CN)4]2? (1/1/1) (en is 1,2‐diaminoethane) yields a novel heterobimetallic mixed‐valence compound, poly[[aquabis(1,2‐diaminoethane)copper(II)] [hexa‐μ‐cyano‐tetracyanobis(1,2‐diaminoethane)tricopper(I,II)dinickel(II)] dihydrate], [Cu(C2H8N2)2(H2O)][Ni2Cu3(CN)10(C2H8N2)2]·2H2O or [Cu(en)2(H2O)][Cu(en)2Ni2Cu2(CN)10]·2H2O. The structure is formed by a negatively charged two‐dimensional array of the cyano complex [Cu(en)2Ni2Cu2(CN)10]n2n?, [Cu(en)2(H2O)]2+ complex cations and water molecules of crystallization. These last are involved in a complicated hydrogen‐bonding system. The cyano groups act as terminal, μ2‐bridging or μ3‐bridging ligands.  相似文献

Contributions on Crystal Chemistry and Thermal Behaviour of Anhydrous Phosphates. XXIV. Preparation, Crystal Structure, and Properties of Copper(II) Indium(III) Orthophosphate Cu3In2[PO4]4 Crystals of Cu3In2[PO4]4 were grown by chemical vapour transport (temperature gradient 1273 K → 1173 K) using chlorine as transport agent. The mixed metal phosphate forms a new structure type (P21/c, Z = 2, a = 8.9067(6), b = 8.8271(5), c = 7.8815(5) Å, β = 108.393(5)°, 13 atoms in asymmetric unit, 2549 unique reflections with Fo > 4σ, 116 variables, R(F2) = 0.065). The crystal structure shows a hexagonal closest packing of [PO4]3– tetrahedra. Close‐packed layers parallel (1 0 –1) are stacked according to the sequence A, B, A′, B′, A. The octahedral interstices in this packing are completely occupied by two In3+, one (Cu1)2+ and a “dumb bell” (Cu2)24+. In the latter case four of the six phosphate groups that belong to this octahedral void act as bi‐dentate ligands, thus forming dimers [(Cu2)2O10] with dCu–Cu = 3.032 Å. Cu3In2[PO4]4 is paramagnetic (μeff = 1.89 μB, θP = –16.9 K). The infrared and UV/Vis reflectance spectra are reported. The observed d‐electron levels of the Cu2+ cations agree well with those obtained from angular overlap calculations.  相似文献

From the 1:1 system of [Cu(dien)2](NO3)2 and K[Ag(CN)2] in water (dien is diethylenetriamine, C4H13N3), the novel compound catena‐poly[bis[[μ‐cyano‐1:2κ2C:N‐diethylenetriamine‐2κ3N‐copper(II)silver(I)]‐μ‐cyano‐1:2′κ2C:N] dicyanosilver(I) tricyanodisilver(I)], [CuAg(CN)2(dien)]2[Ag(CN)2][Ag2(CN)3], has been isolated. The structure is formed from positively charged [–Cu(dien)–NC–Ag–CN–]nn+ chains and two isolated centrosymmetric [Ag(CN)2]? and [Ag2(CN)3]? anions. In the cationic chains, the Cu atoms are linked by bridging dicyanoargentate groups, and the deformed square‐pyramidal coordination polyhedron of the CuII cation is formed from a tridentate chelate‐like bonded dien ligand and two N‐bonded bridging cyano groups. One of the bridging cyano groups occupies the apical (ap) position [mean Cu—Neq = 2.02 (2) Å, and Cu—Nap = 2.170 (3) Å; eq is equatorial]. Short argentophilic interactions in the range 3.16–3.30 Å are present in the crystal structure.  相似文献

Reaction of copper(II) bromide with the dpp ligand in dichloromethane at room temperature afforded 1 , which is a rare example of non‐square planar four‐coordinate copper(II) complexes. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 15.352(3), b = 13.192(3), c = 11.358(2) Å, β = 120.61(3)°, V = 1979.6(7) Å3, Z = 4, Dcalc = 1.865 g cm?3. The coordination geometry about the copper center is distorted about halfway between square planar and tetrahedral. The Cu‐N distance is 2.032(2) Å and the Cu‐Br distance 2.3521(5) Å. Heating a CH2Cl2 or acetone solution of 1 resulted in complex 2 , which consists of a slightly distorted tetrahedral [Cu(dpp)2]+ cation and a linear two‐coordinate [CuBr2]? anion. 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space group with a = 10.445(2), b = 11.009(2), c = 18.458(4) Å, α = 104.72(3), β = 94.71(3), γ = 103.50(3)°, V = 1973.3(7) Å3, Z = 2, Dcalc = 1.602 g cm?3. The four Cu(1)‐N distances are between 2.042(3) and 2.067(3) Å, the distance of Cu(2)‐Br(1) 2.2268(8) Å, and the disordered Cu(3)‐Br(2) distances are 2.139(7) and 2.237(4) Å, respectively. Complex 2 could also be prepared by directly reacting CuBr with dpp in CH2Cl2.  相似文献
