This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for nonlinear first order partial functional differential equations. The unknown function is the functional variable in the equation and the partial derivatives appear in a classical sense. A theorem on the local existence of a generalized solution is proved. The initial problem is transformed into a system of functional integral equations for an unknown function and for their partial derivatives with respect to spatial variables. The existence of solutions of this system is proved by using a method of successive approximations. A method of bicharacteristics and integral inequalities are applied.  相似文献

We prove the global existence and uniqueness of solutions of certain mixed hyperbolic-parabolic systems of partial differential equations in one space dimension with initial data that is assumed to be pointwise bounded with possibly large oscillation and with small total energy. The systems we consider are general enough to include the Navier-Stokes equations of compressible flow, the equations of compressible MHD, models of chemical combustion, and others. We prove comparison, uniqueness and existence results for viscosity solutions to a wide class of fully nonlinear second order partial differential equations F(x,u,du,d2u)=0 defined on a finite-dimensional Riemannian manifold M. Finest results (with hypothesis that require the function F to be degenerate elliptic, that is nonincreasing in the second order derivative variable, and uniformly continuous with respect to the variable x) are obtained under the assumption that M has nonnegative sectional curvature, while, if one additionally requires F to depend on d2u in a uniformly continuous manner, then comparison results are established with no restrictive assumptions on curvature.  相似文献

The paper considers the Cauchy problem for linear partial differential equations of non-Kowalevskian type in the complex domain. It is shown that if the Cauchy data are entire functions of a suitable order, the problem has a formal solution which is multisummable. We solve a certain differential equation and system of integral equations. As applications, we characterize holomorphic symbols of commuting Toeplitz operators on the pluriharmonic Bergman space. In addition, pluriharmonic symbols of normal Toeplitz operators are characterized. It is shown that spaces of quasianalytic ultradifferentiable functions of Roumieu type ℰ{w}(Ω), on an open convex set , satisfy some new (Ω) -type linear topological invariants. Some consequences for the splitting of short exact sequences of these spaces as well as for the structure of the spaces are derived. An approach to generalized stochastic evolution equations is presented which is based on a generalized Ito formula. This allows the consideration of interesting examples which are stochastic generalizations of evolution equations of mixed type or second order in time hyperbolic equations. It includes more standard material involving a Gelfand triple of spaces as a special case. Several examples are given which illustrate the use of the abstract theory presented.  相似文献
