Macroscopic nonlocality is based on quantum nonlocality and is manifested as a correlation of various dissipation processes without local interaction carriers. The nonlocal correlations obey the principle of weak causality that admits an advanced correlation of random dissipation processes. The correlation of spontaneous variations of isolated laboratory reference processes with the process of solar activity is studied experimentally. As a result, an advanced correlation is reliably detected. The problem of ultraviolet divergences that arise in describing low-energy nucleon dynamics is analyzed. By considering some examples of exactly solvable models, it is shown that, upon renormalization, the interaction that governs nucleon dynamics appears to be nonlocal in time. The effect of this nonlocality on the character of the dynamics of a nucleon system is investigated. It is shown that the time nonlocality of nucleon-nucleon interactions leads to an anomalous off-shell behavior of two-nucleon amplitudes and this anomalous behavior can significantly affect the dynamics of multinucleon systems.  相似文献

The general conditions of appearance of the modulation instability of spatially homogeneous regimes in media with a nonlocal response of nonlinearity are determined. By using, as an example, the nonlocality in the form of the truncated Lennard-Jones potential, which is characteristic of interatomic interaction in Bose-Einstein condensates, the region of stability is found and the character of structures arising upon the loss of stability is discussed.  相似文献

We address the physical features exhibited by spatial optical solitons propagating in nonlocal Kerr-type media with Gaussian-shaped response and exponential-decay response, respectively. An iteration algorithm based on the split-step Fourier method is developed to obtain the numerical solutions of the solitons for the nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation with arbitrary degrees of nonlocality. Our numerical results show that the soliton properties in the normalized system are different with the change of the degree of nonlocality and with the different responses. The profiles undergo a gradual and continuous transition from a Gaussian-shaped function in the strongly nonlocal case to a hyperbolic secant function in the local case for the Gaussian-shaped response, but for the exponential-decay response, the soliton profile is not Gaussian-shaped even in the strongly nonlocal cases. For the same response function, the stronger the nonlocality is, the higher the critical powers for solitons are and the larger of the phase shifts of the solitons. For the same degrees of nonlocality, when the degrees of nonlocality is larger enough, both the critical power and the phase shift for the Gaussian-shaped response are larger than that for the exponential-decay response.  相似文献

The interaction trajectory of solitons in nonlocal nonlinear media is investigated. A simple differential equation describing the interaction trajectories is derived based on the light ray equation. Numerical calculations are carried out to illustrate the interaction trajectories with different parameters. The results show that the degree of nonlocality greatly affects the interaction of solitons. For a strongly nonlocal case, the interaction trajectory can be described by a cosine function. Analytical expressions describing the trajectory and the oscillation period are obtained. For generally and weakly nonlocal cases, the interaction trajectories still oscillate periodically, however it is no longer sinusoidal and the oscillation period increases with the nonlocal degree decreasing. In addition, the trajectory of two solitons launched with a relative angle at the entrance plane is investigated. It is found that there exists a critical angle. When the initial relative angle is larger than the critical angle, the two solitons do not collide on propagation. The influence of the degree of nonlocality on the critical angle is also discussed.  相似文献

The propagation and interaction of nonlocal incoherent white-light solitons in strongly nonlocal kerr media is investigated. Numerical simulations show that the interaction properties of nonlocal incoherent white-light solitons are different from the case in local media. The interactions of nonlocal incoherent white-light solitons are always attractive independent of their relative phase, while the other parameters such as the extent of nonlocality and the input power have a great impact on the soliton interactions. Pertinent numerical examples are presented to show their propagation and interaction behaviour further.  相似文献

We investigate nonlocality distillation using measures of nonlocality based on the Elitzur-Popescu-Rohrlich decomposition. For a certain number of copies of a given nonlocal box, we define two quantities of interest: (i) the nonlocal cost and (ii) the distillable nonlocality. We find that there exist boxes whose distillable nonlocality is strictly smaller than their nonlocal cost. Thus nonlocality displays a form of irreversibility which we term "bound nonlocality." Finally, we show that nonlocal distillability can be activated.  相似文献

We study nonlocality effects of a bulk plasmalike dielectric medium on the plasmon spectrum of a one-dimensional (1D) quantum wire superlattice in interaction with the 3D nonlocal host bulk plasma, by carrying out a closed-form analytic determination of the inverse dielectric function κ for the joint nanostructure system within the random phase approximation (RPA), in which we treat nonlocality of the 1D superlattice in the RPA and that of the bulk medium in the hydrodynamic model. By examining the frequency poles of κ (i.e., the dispersions relations), we show analytically that coupled plasmon modes of the interacting 1D superlattice-3D nonlocal host are damped in high frequencies (damping is pronounced near resonance region) and that nonlocality of the host medium introduces nonlocal low frequency (real) modes into the spectrum, which have cutoff frequencies for finite wave vector values. In order to describe the impact of nonlocality effects more clearly, we also examine the spectrum numerically.  相似文献

The nonlocal interaction between electrons and electromagnetic fields is considered. It is shown that different contraction forms of interacting fields are equivalent to different nonlocal theories where nonlocality is connected to either the photon field or the electron field, or to both these fields simultaneously. The nonlocal theory where the electron carries nonlocality is studied in detail. The gauge invariance of this model is achieved by using thed-operation applying the perturbation theory. Primitive Feynman diagrams of the nonlocal theory are investigated and a restriction on the “size”l of the electron is obtained. From low-energy experimental data from tests of local quantum electrodynamics it follows thatl≦10−15 cm.  相似文献

从(1+2)维非局域非线性薛定谔方程出发, 通过坐标变换得到了旋转坐标系下的非局域非线性薛定谔方程. 假设响应函数为高斯型, 用虚时间法数值求解了旋转坐标系下的非局域非线性薛定谔方程的静态孤子解, 迭代出了不同非局域程度条件下的静态椭圆孤子数值解. 最后采用分步傅里叶算法, 以迭代的孤子解作为初始输入波形, 模拟了在不同的非局域程度条件下, (1+2)维椭圆空间光孤子的旋转传输特性. 强非局域时, 椭圆光孤子的长轴方向和短轴方向波形都是高斯型, 其他的非局域程度下, 不是高斯型. 由此表明:(1+2)维椭圆光孤子对非局域程度依赖性很强. 旋转角速度和功率均与非局域程度以及孤子的椭圆度有关.  相似文献

The fundamental and second order strongly nonlocal solitons of the nonlocal nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation for several types of nonlocal responses are calculated by Ritz's variational method. For a specific type of nonlocal response, the solutions of the strongly nonlocal solitons with the same beam width but different degrees of nonlocality are identical except for an amplitude factor. For a nonlocal case where the nonlocal response function decays in direct proportion to the $m$th power of the distance near the source point, the power and the phase constant of the strongly nonlocal soliton are in inverse proportion to the $(m+2)$th power of its beam width.  相似文献

We investigate numerically the interaction of nonlocal incoherent spatial solitons in strongly nonlocal kerr media based on the coherent density approach. Numerical simulations show that the incoherent soliton position is very similar to the case of coherent soliton, and show that the incoherence plays an important role in the soliton interaction, while the role of other parameters such as the phase difference, the separation, the extent of nonlocality and the input power play in the interaction is very similar to the case of nonlocal coherent soliton. Some interesting numerical examples are presented to illustrate their interaction behavior further. Pertinent physics features are addressed.  相似文献

A generic nonlocal nonlinear optical system with a diffusive type of nonlinearity is investigated analytically, using the homogeneous balance principle and the F-expansion technique. Exact traveling wave and soliton solutions are discovered. Numerical simulation of their propagation and interaction properties is carried out. Our results demonstrate that the nonlocal solitary waves can be manipulated and controlled by changing the nonlocality parameter.  相似文献

The important applications of quantum dot system are to implement logic operations and achieve universal quantum computing based on different quantum nonlocalities. Here, we characterize the quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) of quantum dot system suffering nonunital and unital channels. The results reveal that quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC can display the traits of dissipation, enhancement, and freezing. One can achieve the detections of quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system in different situations. Among these quantum nonlocalities, NAQC is the most fragile, and it is most easily influenced by different system parameters. Furthermore, considering quantum dot system coupling with amplitude damping channel and phase damping channel, these quantum nonlocalities degenerate with the enlargement of the channel parameters $t$ and $\varGamma$. Remarkably, measurement reversal can effectively control and enhance quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system suffering from decoherence, especially in the scenarios of the amplitude damping channel and strong operation strength.  相似文献

The filamentation instability of laser beams propagating in nonlocal nonlinear media is investigated. It is shown that the filamentation instability can occur in weakly nonlocal self-focusing media for any degree of nonlocality, and in defocusing media for the input light intensity exceeding a threshold related to the degree of nonlocality. A linear stability analysis is used to predict the initial growth rate of the instability. It is found that the nonlocality tends to suppress filamentation instability in self-focusing media and to stimulate filamentation instability in self-defocusing media. Numerical simulations confirm the results of the linear stability analysis and disclose a recurrence phenomenon in nonlocal self-focusing media analogous to the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam problem.  相似文献

We introduce the interaction cost of a nonlocal gate as the minimal time of interaction required to perform the gate when assisting the process with fast local unitaries. This cost, of interest both in the areas of quantum control and quantum information, depends on the specific interaction, and allows one to compare in an operationally meaningful manner any two nonlocal gates. In the case of a two-qubit system, an analytical expression for the interaction cost of any unitary operation given any coupling Hamiltonian is obtained. One gate may be more time consuming than another for any possible interaction. This defines a partial order structure in the set of nonlocal gates, that compares their degree of nonlocality. We analytically characterize this partial order in a region of the set of two-qubit gates.  相似文献
