New sterically hindered functionalized o-quinones were synthesized by the 1,4-nucleophilic addition of secondary cyclic amines to 3,6-di(tert-butyl)-o-benzoquinone. The ability of these o-quinones to form o-semiquinone complexes with transition and main-group metals was studied by ESR spectroscopy in solution. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Oxidation of amalgamated magnesium metal with 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzoquinone (1) in different aprotic organic solvents afforded magnesium catecholate and bis-o-semiquinolate complexes. The catecholate derivatives of magnesium CatMgL2 (Cat is the 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzoquinone dianion, L = THF or Py) were synthesized in high yields in pyridine and tetrahydrofuran, respectively. The reactions in diethyl ether or dimethoxyethane produced hexacoordinated metal bis-o-semiquinolates SQ2MgLn (SQ is the 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzoquinone radical anion, L = Et2O, n = 2; L = DME, n = 1). The reaction with the use of toluene as the solvent gave a magnesium bis-o-semiquinolate complex containing the coordinated unreduced o-quinone molecule. The molecular structures of the [CatMgPy2]2 and SQ2Mg·DME complexes were established by X-ray diffraction. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. The paramagnetic derivatives of 4,4′,7,7′-tetra-tert-butyl-2,2′-bis-1,3-benzodithiol-5,5′,6,6′-tetraone (1), viz., radical anion salts of the alkali metals (Li, Na, K) and cobaltocenium cations, chelated mono-o-semiquinone complexes with different metal fragments (Tl, TlMe2, SnPh3, Mn(CO)4, Mn(PPh3)(CO)3), a number of copper(I) complexes with sterically hindered phosphines as well as binuclear heterometallic derivatives of triphenylantimony(V) o-semiquinone-catecholate with the analogous paramagnetic centers, were studied by ESR spectroscopy. The reaction of di-o-quinone 1 with sodium amalgam resulted in the formation of all reduced forms including quinone-semiquinone, disemiquinone, semiquinone-catecholate, and dicatecholate. A radical cation with the unpaired electron localized on the tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) fragment, which resulted from the oxidation of di-o-quinone 1, was detected by ESR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Condensation of o-tosylaminobenzaldehyde with γ-aminobutyric, 4-aminophenylthioacetic, and p-aminobenzoic acids and β-alanine gave 6,12-epimino-5,11-ditosyl-5,6,11,12-tetrahydrodibenzo[b, f]-1,5-diazocines with carboxyl-containing substituents at the bridging N atoms. The structures of three products were examined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Condensation of o-mesylaminobenzaldehyde (prepared by the McFadyen-Stevens reaction) with NH4OAc and primary amines afforded 6,12-epimino-5,11-dimesyl-5,6,11,12-tetrahydrodibenzo[b, f]-1,5-diazocine derivatives.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. It has been found that irradiation of tetrathiafulvalene-bridged di-o-quinone with visible light leads to the successive decarbonylation of the o-benzoquinone fragments. The molecular structure of the final product dicyclopentadienone has been established by X-ray diffraction measurements. The features of the photoconversion kinetics of the substrate di-o-quinone and the intermediate product of its photolysis in benzene solutions by the action of 546-nm monochromatic radiation have been revealed.  相似文献

The effect of hydrostatic pressure below 1000 kg cm−2 on the rate of reactions of o-and p-nitrophenylsulfenyl chlorides with styrene and cyclohexene was studied. The activation and reaction volumes (cm3 mol−1) for the reactions of o-nitrophenylsulfenyl chloride with styrene in acetonitrile (−23.1 and −23.6), 1,2-dichloroethane (−29.2 and −24.7), chlorobenzene (no, −20.2), and anisole (−25.1 and −21.2) and for the reaction of p-nitrophenylsulfenyl chloride with styrene in carbon tetrachloride (−39.5±1.5 and −22.0) were determined. In carbon tetrachloride the activation volumes for the reactions of cyclohexene with o-and p-nitrophenylsulfenyl chlorides (−37.7±2.0 and −40.9±1.2 cm3 mol−1, respectively) are almost the same and coincide with the data for the reactions with styrene. The considerable decrease in the volume of the transition state in the nonpolar solvent is considered as a consequence of the enhanced electrostriction of carbon tetrachloride in the solvate sphere of the transition state of the reaction, which excludes the nonpolar transition state of the sulfuran type. Excess enthalpies (H E) of 17 binary mixtures of o- and m-isomers of dichlorobenzene, difluorobenzene, methoxymethylbenzene, dimethylbenzene, dimethoxybenzene, aminofluorobenzene, fluoronitrobenzene, diethylbenzene, chlorofluorobenzene, fluoroiodobenzene, bromofluorobenzene, chloromethylbenzene, fluoromethylbenzene, bromomethylbenzene, iodomethylbenzene, fluoromethoxybenzene, dibromobenzene at 298.15 K were measured. All excess enthalpies measured were very small, and those of o-+m-isomers of aminofluorobenzene, dibromobenzene and iodomethylbenzene were negative but 14 other binary mixtures of isomers were positive over the whole range of mole fractions. H E of o-+m-isomers of dimethoxybenzene showed the largest enthalpic instability and those of aminofluorobenzene showed the largest enthalpic stability. There was a correlation between dipole–dipole interaction, dipole–induced dipole interaction or entropies of vaporization and excess partial molar enthalpies at infinite dilution.  相似文献

The complex formation of native and substituted β-cyclodextrins with m-aminobenzoic acid in water was characterized by calorimetry, 1H NMR and UV spectroscopic studies. These studies showed that β-, hydroxypropyl-β- and methyl-β-cyclodextrins form 1:1 inclusion complexes with m-aminobenzoic acid. The thermodynamic properties of complex formation (Kc G oc H oc S o) were calculated. It was found that the processes of complexation are mainly favorable entropically. Introduction of hydroxypropyl- and methyl-substituents into the β-CD molecule results in negligible enhancement of stability of the complexes formed. The structure of these substituents has no influence on the stability constant values. The insertion of the carboxylic group of m-aminobenzoic acid into the cyclodextrin cavity was confirmed by 1H NMR data.  相似文献

Palladium electrodeposition on poly-o-phenylenediamine (PPD) redox polymer was studied. Palladium electrodeposition was shown to be initiated at the ITO/polymer interface with further proliferation into the polymeric matrix and passing by mediator mechanism. PPD exposure to PdCl2 solution was shown to result in the accumulation of palladium ions in the polymer matrix with partial substitution of counter ions linked to nitrogen atom. Upon rinsing, the film retains some palladium ions, which can be reduced to metal. Published in Russian in Elektrokhimiya, 2008, Vol. 44, No. 8, pp. 1035–1039. Electroactive conducting copolymers of aniline (ANI) and o-aminophenol (OAP) and two-layered poly(o-aminophenol) (POAP)/polyaniline (PANI) composites were prepared in aqueous acidic solution by electrode potential cycling. Copolymerization was carried out at different feed concentrations of OAP and ANI on a gold electrode. A strong inhibition of electropolymerization was found at a high molar fraction of OAP in the feed. The copolymers showed good adherence on the electrode surface and gave a redox response up to pH=10.0. Two transitions were observed in the in situ conductivities of the copolymers (as with PANI), but the conductivities were lower by 2.5–3 orders of magnitude as compared to PANI. Electrosynthesis of PANI on POAP modified electrodes showed copolymer formation after reaction initiation and finally formation of a PANI layer at the copolymer/solution interface. The ‘memory effect’ of the bilayer structures of both polymers was discussed in terms of protonation/deprotonation and anion consumption taking place during redox processes of both polymers.  相似文献

The polymerization of o-phenylenediamine (OPD) on l-tyrosine (Tyr) functionalized glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and its electro-catalytic oxidation towards ascorbic acid (AA) had been studied in this report. l-Tyrosine was first covalently grafted on GCE surface via electrochemical oxidation, which was followed by the electrochemical polymerization of OPD on the l-tyrosine functionalized GCE. Then, the poly(o-phenylenediamine)/l-tyrosine composite film modified GCE (POPD-Tyr/GCE) was obtained. X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy (XPS), field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM), and electrochemical techniques have been used to characterize the grafting of l-tyrosine and the polymerization and morphology of OPD film on GCE surface. Due to the doping of the carboxylic functionalities in l-tyrosine molecules, the POPD film showed good redox activity in neutral medium, and thus, the POPD-Tyr/GCE exhibited excellent electrocatalytic response to AA in 0.1 mol l−1 phosphate buffer solution (PBS, pH 6.8). The anode peak potential of AA shifted from 0.58 V at GCE to 0.35 V at POPD-Tyr/GCE with a greatly enhanced current response. A linear calibration graph was obtained over the AA concentration range of 2.5 × 10−4–1.5 × 10–3 mol l−1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998. The detection limit (3δ) for AA was 9.2 × 10−5 mol l−1. The modified electrode showed good stability and reproducibility and had been used for the determination of AA content in vitamin C tablet with satisfactory results.  相似文献

An O-polysaccharide was prepared by mild acid hydrolysis of a lipopolysaccharide of Erwinia carotovora ssp. atroseptica GSPB 9205 and was found to contain a new higher branched monosaccharide, viz., 3,6,8-trideoxy-4-C-(R-1-hydroxyethyl)-D-gulo-octose, which we called erwiniose. The structure of the pentasaccharide repeating unit of the O-polysaccharide was established by monosaccharide analysis, including the determination of absolute configurations, methylation analysis, O-deacetylation, Smith degradation, and one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. The configuration of erwiniose was determined based on the coupling constants of vicinal protons combined with the nuclear Overhauser effect data and the results of periodate oxidation of the polysaccharide followed by reduction of the resultant 4-keto sugar (the C(1)-C(4)-C(1′)-C(2′) fragment) to give 3,6-dideoxy-D-ribo-hexose(paratose) and oxidation of 3-hydroxybutyraldehyde (the C(5)-C(8) fragment) to give R-3-hydroxybutyric acid. A new compound (5R, 10R)-3,8-dihydroxy-5,10-diethoxy-5,10-dihydrochromeno[5,4,3-cde]chromene monohydrate was obtained from 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde in aerobic basic aqueous ethanol solution in the presence of manganese chloride and triethylamine and crystallized in orthorhombic P212121 space group (denoted as 1). When 1 was recrystallized from aqueous methanol, it was transformed to another crystal (2) with the same composition but in P21/n space group. The drastic difference in the extensive hydrogen bond network makes 1 a 3D and 2 a 2D infinite supramolecular structure, respectively.  相似文献

3,3,3-Trifluoro-N′-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-1,2-propanediamine (5) was synthesized by the reaction of 2-diazo-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-nitropropane or 3,3,3-trifluoro-1-nitropropene with 3-aminobenzotrifluoride followed by the reduction of the nitro group. The Michael 1,4-addition of diamine 5 to acrylic acid occurs only at the N(1) atom and affords N-mono-or N,N-dicarboxyethyl derivatives 6 and 7, depending on the reactant ratio. Protolytic equilibria 5–7 in aqueous solutions were studied by pH-potentiometry and UV spectroscopy. Only the aliphatic amino group can be protonated in an aqueous solution, while the aromatic amino group remains unprotonated even in 12 M HCl. The stability constants of transition metal (Cu2+, Ni2+, Zn2+) complexes with ligands 5–7 were determined by pH-potentiometric titration. The stability of the complexes and selectivity of the ligands toward Cu2+ ions increase with an increase in the number of N-carboxyethyl groups. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. A number of paramagnetic derivatives of [6-tert-butyl-4-(5-tert-butyl-2-methyl-3,4-dioxocyclohexa-1,5-dien-1-yl)-3-methylcatecholato]triphenylantimony(v) were investigated by ESR spectroscopy. The reactions of this complex with Cp2Co or LiCl in the presence of Hgmetal. lead to the formation of free (nonchelated) radical anion semiquiones. Chelated complexes are formed in the case of Tl(Hg), Mn2(CO)10, Re2(CO)10, Sn2Ph6, Cu(met.), and CuCl + dppfc (dppfc is bis-diphenylphosphinoferrocene). Dedicated to Academician A. L. The structure and intramolecular rearrangements of the model five-coordinate nickel PCP-pincer complex with the o-semiquinone ligand were studied by the density functional theory method at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level. The isomerization associated with swing vibrations of the o-semiquinone ligand can occur virtually barrierless (0.7 kcal mol−1). The dynamics of the coordination sphere determined by pendulum vibrations of the o-semiquinone ligand has the energy barriers of 4–5 kcal mol−1, which is in good agreement with experimental data. A comparison of the results of calculations with the ESR spectroscopic data revealed the dependence of the types and the energy characteristics of intramolecular rearrangements on the nature of substituents at the phosphorus atom.  相似文献

A synthesis is reported for (4R,5R)-and (4S,5S)-4-hydroxymethyl-5-(4-nitrophenyl)oxazolidin-2-ones and (1′R,4R)-and (1′S,4S)-4-[hydroxy(4-nitrophenyl)methyl]oxazolidin-2-ones from (1R,2R)-and (1S,2S)-2-amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3-propanediols. A series of nitrogen-containing physiologically active compounds underwent smooth N-monoalkylation with N-bromoacetyl-β-glycopyranosylamines derived from N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and lactose. This reaction was demonstrated to be promising for the introduction of carbohydrate residues into heterocyclic compounds, viz., pyridine, imidazole, pyrimidinetrione, carboline, and piperazine derivatives, and into an amino acid, 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan, which is unstable in alkaline media. The influence of the nature of the metal (metallofragment) on the spin density distribution in radical anions ando-semiquinone metal complexes (derivatives of sterically hindered 5,5′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-dimethylbiphenyl-3,4,3′,4′-diquinone) was studied by ESR spectroscopy. Despite the difference in the characters of the spin density distribution between the radical anion derivatives (M=Li, Na, K, and CoCp2) ando-semiquinone complexes (MLn=Tl, SnPh3, TlMe2, Cu(PPh3)2, Cu(CNR)2, and Mn(CO)4) in all cases significant delocalization of the spin density of an unpaired electron into theo-quinone ring is observed. The reaction of the di-O-trimethylsilyl derivative of 2-hydroxynicotinic acid with methyl phosphodichloridite afforded 2-methoxy-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorino[4,5-b]pyridin-4(4H )-one. The NMR spectrkscopic data suggest that the reaction of the latter with hexafluoroacetone produces unstable 2-methoxy-2,5-dioxo-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3,2-dioxaphosphepino[4,5-b]pyridine, which is readily transformed into 9-methyl-2,5-dioxo-4,4- bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3,2-dioxaphosphepino[4,5-b]pyrid-9-inium-2-oate. The structure of the hydrolysis product of the latter, viz., 1-methyl-3-(2-hydroxy-3,3,3-trifluoro-2- trifluoromethylpropanoyl)pyridin-2-one, was established by X-ray diffraction analysis.Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk.
