A series of six Zn(II) tetraphenylporphyrins (ZnTPP), with a phenyl (P) or oligophenyleneethynylene (OPE = (PE) n ) rigid-rod bridge varying in length (9-30 A) and terminated with an isophthalic acid (Ipa) anchoring unit, were prepared as model dyes for the study of sensitization processes on metal oxide semiconductor nanoparticle surfaces (MO(n) = TiO(2), ZnO, and insulating ZrO(2)). The dyes were designed such that the electronic properties of the central porphyrin chromophore remained consistent throughout the series, with the rigid-rod anchoring unit allowing each porphyrin unit to be located at a fixed distance from the metal oxide nanoparticle surface. Electronic communication between the porphyrin and the rigid-rod unit was not desired. Rigid-rod porphyrins ZnTPP-Ipa, ZnTPP-P-Ipa, ZnTPP-PE-Ipa, ZnTPP-(PE)(2)-Ipa, ZnTPP-(PE)(3)-Ipa, and ZnTMP-Ipa (with mesityl substituents on the porphyrin ring) were synthesized using combinations of mixed aldehyde condensations and Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. Their properties, in solution and bound, were compared with that of Zn(II) 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin ( p-ZnTCPP) as the reference compound. Solution UV-vis and steady-state fluorescence spectra for all six rigid-rod-Ipa porphyrins were almost identical to each other and to that of p-ZnTCPP. Cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry scans of the methyl ester derivatives of the six rigid-rod-Ipa porphyrins, recorded in dichloromethane/electrolyte, exhibited redox behavior typical of ZnTPP porphyrins, with the first oxidation in the range +0.99 to 1.09 V vs NHE. All six rigid-rod-Ipa porphyrins and p-ZnTCPP were bound to metal oxide (MO(n) = TiO(2), ZnO, and insulating ZrO(2)) nanoparticle films. The Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflectance spectra of all compounds bound to MO n films showed a broad band at 1553-1560 cm(-1) assigned to the v(CO(2)(-)) asymmetric stretching mode. Splitting of the Soret band into two bands at 411 and 423 nm in the UV-vis spectra of the bound compounds, and broadening and convergence of both fluorescence emission bands in the fluorescence spectra of the porphyrins bound to insulating ZrO(2) were also observed. Such changes were less evident for ZnTMP-Ipa, which has mesityl substituents on the porphyrin ring to prevent aggregation. Steady-state fluorescence emission of rigid-rod-Ipa porphyrins bound to TiO(2) and ZnO through the longest bridges (>14 A) showed residual fluorescence emission, while fluorescence quenching was observed for the shortest compounds.  相似文献

Transmetallation of zinc (Zn2+) and cadmium (Cd2+) complexes of 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphin, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-chlorophenyl)porphyrin, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)porphyrin, tetrabenzoporphyrin, and octaphenyltetraazaporphyrin with PdCl2 in DMF was studied by spectrophotometry. The influence of the nature of the tetrapyrrole macrocycle on the reactivity of Zn2+ porphyrins toward palladium chloride in boiling DMF was established. Palladium(II) complexes of 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-chlorophenyl)porphyrin, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-methoxyphenylporphyrin), and tetrabenzoporphyrin were prepared and identified.  相似文献

Platinum(II) complexes of symmetrical meso-substituted A4-porphyrins bearing four fluorene donor moieties 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-(2 methyloxyfluorenyl)phenyl)porphyrin, referred to as TOFP, or eight fluorene arms, 5,10,15,20-octa(3,5-(2 methyloxyfluorenyl)phenyl)porphyrin, OOFP, were synthesised and characterised. The photophysical properties of the new compounds are reported and compared to those of PtTPP and PtTFP {TPP=tetraphenylporphyrin and TFP=tetra(2-fluorenyl)porphyrin}. The luminescence quantum yields of PtTOFP and PtOOFP are 11% and 4.2%, respectively, compared to 4.6% for the reference PtTPP and only 2.0% for the previously studied compound PtTFP. The electronic and optoelectronic behaviour of solution-processed organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) are reported that incorporate these platinum porphyrins as phosphorescent dyes doped into different layers of a polyvinylcarbazole (PVK) host.  相似文献

The influence of the thiophene ring on the ground and excited state properties of the porphyrin ring is investigated, when substituted at the meso-position. A series of mono-, di-, tri-, and tetra- meso-thien-2-yl porphyrins are studied and discussed with respect to the reference compounds zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetra(thien-2'-yl)porphyrin ( 1a) and zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP). The extended conjugated system zinc(II)-5-(5'-(5'-ethynyl-2'-thiophenecarboxaldehyde)thien-2'-yl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin ( 4d) is also studied and shows enhanced charge transfer character due to the presence of the terminal aldehyde accepting group. A detailed analysis of ground and excited state UV-vis absorption, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence, laser flash photolysis, and electrochemical data all point toward substantial electronic communication between the central Zn(II) porphyrin ring and the meso-thien-2-yl substituents, which is evident from excited state charge transfer character.  相似文献

Abstract

Methoxy-isoporphyrins of zinc [5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)]porphyrin, ZnTSPP (1a) and zinc [5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)]porphyrin, ZnTCPP (1b) have been synthesized and characterized using standard spectroscopic techniques (Uv-visible, 1H NMR) , ESI-mass spectrometry and powder X-ray diffraction studies. The isoporphyrins [5-(methoxy)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)-5H,15H-porphinato]zinc(II) (2a) and [5-(methoxy)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)-5H,21H-porphinato]zinc(II) (2b) are formed due to nucleophilic attack of the methanol to the zinc porphyrin dication. Ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) was used to oxidize zinc porphyrin and to form zinc porphyrin dication. The electronic spectra of the isoporphyrin complexes 2a and 2b exhibit an intense peak at near IR region . Electrochemical measurements of the synthesized isoporphyrins showed a typical irreversible reduction peak at lower potential. S-containing nucleophiles, which work as reducing agents, convert the zinc isoporphyrins to their parent porphyrins, which supports the electrochemical observations. Their structural properties have been studied using powder X-ray diffraction. The luminescence properties of isoporphyrins were compared with the parent zinc porphyrins.  相似文献

采用Alder法合成四羟基苯基卟啉,并用四种醋酸盐:醋酸锌,醋酸镍,醋酸铜,醋酸钴与原卟啉合成了相应4种金属卟啉(MTHPP).采用金属卟啉为敏化剂,并与蒸汽热法制备的纯锐钛矿型TiO2作用,得到相应的金属卟啉敏化TiO2复合光催化剂.利用红外、紫外、SEM、和XRD对所得金属卟啉以及金属卟啉-TiO2复合光催化剂进行了表征和分析.结果表明,所合成的金属卟啉均为目标化合物,金属卟啉负载于TiO2表面,未改变TiO2的晶型和形貌.金属卟啉与TiO2之间存在氢键的作用力.可见光降解亚甲基蓝(MB)实验结果表明,用锌卟啉(ZnTHPP)敏化的复合催化剂性能最好,复合催化剂性质稳定,可重复使用多次.  相似文献

In the reaction with quinazoline and 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-one, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)porphyrin exhibits nucleophilic properties. In quinazoline excess, C—C coupling occurs at the C=N bond of azines and position 3 of the aryl ring to form 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3-heteryl-4-methoxyphenyl)porphyrins. Monoheteryl-substituted porphyrin was obtained by the reaction of equimolar amounts of 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)porphyrin and 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-one.  相似文献

Reactions of 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphin, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4′-methoxyphenyl)porphyrin, and 5,10,15,20-tetra(4′-chlorophenyl)porphyrin with cobalt(II) acetate in dimethylformamide were studied by spectrophotometry. The corresponding cobalt(II) porphyrinates were synthesized and identified. The corresponding cobalt porphyrinates in +3 oxidation state were obtained by reaction of cobalt(II) 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinate and cobalt(II) 5,10,15,20-tetra(4′-methoxyphenyl)porphyrinate with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone in chloroform. The oxidation of cobalt(II) 5,10,15,20-tetra(4′-chlorophenyl)porphyrinate with hydrochloric acid in dimethylformamide leads to cobalt(III) porphyrinate.  相似文献

Thirty-two glycoconjugated porphyrins were synthesized by a modification of Lindsey method in the presence of Zn(OAc)(2).2H(2)O as a template. The Zn(2+) ion template strategy improved the yield about three-fold in the case of meta-substituted tetraphenylporphyrins. In addition, free-base porphyrins were obtained almost quantitatively by demetalation with 4 M HCl. Sixteen deacetylated glycoconjugated porphyrins were tested as candidate photodynamic therapy (PDT) drugs using HeLa cells. Most of the deacetylated glycoconjugated porphyrins showed higher cellular uptake than tetraphenylporphyrin tetrasulfonic acid (TPPS), and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[4-(beta-D-arabinopyranosyloxy)phenyl]porphyrin (p-5d) in particular showed 18.5-fold higher uptake than TPPS. The photocytotoxicity of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[4-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)phenyl]porphyrin (p-5a), p-5d and TPPS was examined with HeLa cells, using a light dose of 16 J/cm(2). These photosensitizers had no cytotoxicity in the dark, but their photocytotoxicity increased in the order of TPPS < p-5a < p-5d. These results suggest p-5d is a good candidate for a PDT drug.  相似文献

Two donor-bridge-acceptor conjugates (5,10,15,20-tetrakis[4-(N,N-diphenylaminobenzoate)phenyl] porphyrin (TPPZ) and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[4-(N,N-diphenylaminostyryl)phenyl] porphyrin (TPPX)) were covalently linked to triphenylamine (TPA) at the meso-position of porphyrin ring. The triphenylamine entities were expected to act as energy donors and the porphyrins to act as an energy acceptor. In this paper, we report on the synthesis of these multibranched-porphyrin-functionalized Pt nanocomposites. The conjugates used here not only served as a stabilizer to prevent agglomeration of Pt nanoparticles, but also as a light-harvesting photosensitizer. The occurrence of photoinduced electron-transfer processes was confirmed by time-resolved fluorescence and photoelectrochemical spectral measurements. The different efficiencies for energy and electron transfer in the two multibranched porphyrins and the functionalized Pt nanocomposites were attributed to diverse covalent linkages. Moreover, in the reduction of water to produce H(2), the photocatalytic activity of the Pt nanocomposite functionalized by TPPX, in which the triphenylamine and porphyrin moieties are bonded through an ethylene bridge, was much higher than that of the platinum nanocomposite functionalized by TPPZ, in which the two moieties are bonded through an ester. This investigation demonstrates the fundamental advantages of constructing donor-bridge-acceptor conjugates as highly efficient photosensitizers based on efficient energy and electron transfer.  相似文献

Charge transport in a porphyrin with four identical pyridyl substituents, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine (TPyP), was investigated using the scanning tunneling microscopy break junction method. To determine the dominant pathway, we studied two structurally similar porphyrins, o-DPyP and p-DPyP. Our experiments reveal that charge transport through TPyP in a break junction configuration does not follow the traditional assumption, i.e., the shortest path between the neighboring side groups. Instead, the charge transport pathway was dominated by the farthest anchoring groups. Furthermore, these single molecule experiments can distinguish between the two structural isomers, which is important in molecular discrimination, porphyrin chemistry, and molecular electronics.  相似文献

设计合成了5种未见文献报道的5,10,15,20-四{对[3,5-二-(烷氧基)苯甲酰胺基]苯基}卟啉及其锌金属配合物,并用IR,UV-Vis,1H NMR,元素分析以及XPS对其组成和结构进行了表征,研究了这10种酰胺基系列卟啉化合物的拉曼光谱和荧光光谱的变化.结果显示链长对荧光和拉曼光谱没有明显影响,其取代基效应基本相同,配体的荧光强度强于锌配合物的荧光强度.在拉曼光谱中,由于卟啉分子平面的对称性由D2h变为D4h群及其锌离子d轨道的电子效应,卟啉配体和锌配合物之间的拉曼光谱有很大差别.  相似文献

A modified Horner-Emmons condensation reaction has been employed in the synthesis of acetylene-substituted porphyrins at the β-pyrrolic position. This technique was shown to have many advantages over the typically employed Sonogashira coupling method, including negating the requirement for a brominated porphyrin starting material. The electronic spectra of 2-(4′-carboxyphenyl)ethynyl-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinato zinc(II) showed a red shift compared to the double bond equivalent, 4-(trans-2′-(2″-(5″,10″,15″,20″-tetraphenylporphyrinato zinc(II)yl))ethen-1′-yl)-1-benzoic acid. Comparison of the X-ray structures of 2-((4′-formyl)phenyl)ethynyl-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinato zinc(II) and its analogue 4-(trans-2′-(2″-(5″,10″,15″,20″-tetraphenylporphyrinato copper(II)yl))ethen-1′-yl)-1-benzaldehyde showed an unexpected decrease in planarity in the analogue with the triple bond as opposed to that with the double bond.  相似文献

The structure of THF-coordinated [2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octafluoro-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphinato]zinc, Zn(F(8)TPP).THF, and photophysical studies of 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octafluoro-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin, F(8)TPP, Zn(F(8)TPP), 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octafluoro-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrin, F(28)TPP, and [2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octafluoro-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphinato]zinc, Zn(F(28)TPP), in benzonitrile, are reported. A key point from these studies is that the octafluorinated F(8)TPP and perfluorinated F(28)TPP porphyrins possess similar absorption spectra, but dissimilar X-ray crystal structures and disparate photophysical characteristics. These data cannot be easily accommodated within currently accepted theories which relate macrocycle distortion and optoelectronic properties.  相似文献

Gold(III) porphyrins of the type (P-R)AuPF(6), where P = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)porphyrin and R is equal to H (1), NO(2) (2), or NH(2) (3) which is substituted at one of the eight beta-pyrrolic positions of the macrocycle, were investigated as to their electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry in nonaqueous media. Each compound undergoes three reductions, the first of which involves the central metal ion to give a Au(II) porphyrin or a Au(III) porphyrin pi-anion radical depending upon the nature of the porphyrin ring substituent. A similar metal-centered reduction also occurs for compounds 1, 3, and Au(III) quinoxalinoporphyrin, (PQ)AuPF(6) (4), where PQ = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)quinoxalino[2,3-b]porphyrin, and these results on the three Au(III) porphyrins overturn the long held assumption that reductions of such complexes only occur at the macrocycle. In contrast, when a NO(2) group is introduced on the porphyrin ring to give (P-NO(2))AuPF(6) (2), the site of electron transfer is changed from the gold metal to the macrocycle to give a porphyrin pi-anion radical in the first reduction step. This change in the site of electron transfer was examined by electrochemistry combined with thin-layer UV-vis spectroelectrochemistry and ESR spectroscopy of the singly reduced compound produced by chemical reduction. The reorganization energy (lambda) of the metal-centered electron transfer reduction for (P-H)AuPF(6) (1) in benzonitrile was determined as lambda = 1.23 eV by analyzing the rates of photoinduced electron transfer from the triplet excited states of an organic electron donor to 1 in light of the Marcus theory of electron transfer. The lambda value of the metal-centered electron transfer of gold porphyrin (1) is significantly larger than lambda values of ligand-centered electron transfer reactions of metalloporphyrins.  相似文献

The metal-centered and macrocycle-centered electron-transfer oxidations and reductions of silver(II) porphyrins were characterized in nonaqueous media by electrochemistry, UV-vis spectroelectrochemistry, EPR spectroscopy, and DFT calculations. The investigated compounds are {5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)porphyrinato}silver(II), {5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)quinoxalino[2,3-b']porphyrinato}silver(II), {5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)bisquinoxalino[2,3-b':7,8-b']porphyrinato}silver(II), and {5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)bisquinoxalino[2,3-b':12,13-b']porphyrinato}silver(II). The first one-electron oxidation and first one-electron reduction both occur at the metal center to produce stable compounds with Ag(III) or Ag(I) metal oxidation states, irrespective of the type of porphyrin ligand. The electrochemical HOMO-LUMO gap, determined by the difference in the first oxidation and first reduction potentials, decreases by introduction of quinoxaline groups fused to the Ag(II) porphyrin macrocycle. This provides a unique androgynous character to Ag(II) quinoxalinoporphyrins that enables them to act as both good electron donors and good electron acceptors, something not previously observed in other metalloporphyrin complexes. The second one-electron oxidation and second one-electron reduction of the compounds both occur at the porphyrin macrocycle to produce Ag(III) porphyrin pi-radical cations and Ag(I) porphyrin pi-radical anions, respectively. The macrocycle-centered oxidation potentials of each quinoxalinoporphyrin are shifted in a negative direction, while the macrocycle-centered reduction potentials are shifted in a positive direction as compared to the same electrode reactions of the porphyrin without the fused quinoxaline ring(s). Both potential shifts are due to a stabilization of the radical cations and radical anions by pi-extension of the porphyrin macrocycle after fusion of one or two quinoxaline moieties at the beta-pyrrolic positions of the macrocycle. Introduction of quinoxaline groups fused to the Ag(II) porphyrin macrocycle provides a unique androgynous character to Ag(II) quinoxalinoporphyrins that enables them to act as both good electron donors and good electron acceptors.  相似文献

Two novel porphyrin derivatives, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-(N-octane-carboxamide)phenyl)porphyrin (4NC8-TPP) and 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-(N-stearyl-carboxamide)phenyl)porphyrin (4NC18-TPP), were synthesized. Their molecular structures were characterized by means of time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF-MS), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and infrared spectra (IR). The thermal behavior and morphologies of 4NC8-TPP and 4NC18-TPP were examined by thermal gravity (TG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and polarizing optical microscope (POM). It was found that both 4NC8-TPP and 4NC18-TPP had mesogenic properties.  相似文献
