The combined effects of both adiabatic dust charge variation and non-thermally (fast) distributed ions on dust acoustic solitary structures are studied in a magnetized dusty plasmas consisting of the negatively and variably charged hot dust fluid, Boltzmann distributed electrons and non-thermally distributed ions. By using the reductive perturbation method, we derive the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation governing the dust acoustic solitary waves. It is shown that the dust charge variation and the presence of non-thermally distributed ions would modify the nature of dust acoustic solitary structures significantly and may excite both dust acoustic solitary holes (soliton with a density dip) and positive solitons (soliton with a density hump).  相似文献

In this paper, a modified Korteweg–de Vries (mKdV) equation and Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation at critical ion density are derived for dusty plasmas consisting of hot dust fluid, nonisothermal ions and two-temperature electrons. The charge fluctuation dynamics of the dust grains has also been considered. It has been shown that the presence of a second component of electrons modifies the nature of dust acoustic (DA) solitary structures. The effects of two-temperature electrons, obliqueness and external magnetic field on the properties of DA solitary waves are discussed. Numerical investigations show that there exists only rarefactive solitary waves.  相似文献

Propagation of nonlinear waves in dusty plasmas with variable dust charge and two temperature ions is analyzed. The Kadomtsev–Petviashivili (KP) equation is derived by using the reductive perturbation theory. A Sagdeev potential for this system has been proposed. This potential is used to study the stability conditions and existence of solitonic solutions. Also, it is shown that a rarefactive soliton can be propagates in most of the cases. The soliton energy has been calculated and a linear dispersion relation has been obtained using the standard normal-modes analysis. The effects of variable dust charge on the amplitude, width and energy of the soliton and its effects on the angular frequency of linear wave are discussed too. It is shown that the amplitude of solitary waves of KP equation diverges at critical values of plasma parameters. Solitonic solutions of modified KP equation with finite amplitude in this situation are derived.  相似文献

Obliquely dust-acoustic solitary waves in a collisional, magnetized dusty plasmas having cold dust grains, isothermal electrons, two temperature isothermal ions and stationary neutrals are studied via a reductive perturbation method. It is found that the effects of two temperature ions, collisions, magnetic field and directional cosine of the waves vector k along the x-axis have vital roles in the behavior of the dust acoustic solitary waves. The present investigation can be relevance to the electrostatic solitary structures observed in various cosmic dust-laden plasmas, such as Saturn’s E-ring, noctilucent clouds, Halley’s comet and interstellar molecular clouds.  相似文献

An attempt is made to study variable charge dust acoustic (DA) solitons within the theoretical framework of the Tsallis statistical mechanics. The correct nonextensive ion charging current is presented for the first time based on the orbit motion limited (OML) approach. The variable dust charge is then expressed in terms of the Lambert function and we take advantage of this transcendental function to investigate nonlinear localized DA waves in a charge varying dusty plasma with nonextensive ions more rigorously. Our results reveal that the ion nonextensivity makes the dust acoustic solitary structure more spiky. As the ions deviate from their thermodynamic equilibrium, the dust grain charge becomes least negative and the dust accumulation more effective. In addition, the nonextensive character of the ions contributes to the electron depletion. The latter is more pronounced as the ions evolve far away from their thermal equilibrium. Our results should help in providing a good fit between theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

It is well known that there are envelope solitary waves in unmagnetized dusty plasmas which are described by a nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE). A three dimension nonlinear Schrodinger equation for small but finite amplitude dust acoustic waves is first obtained for magnetized dusty plasma in this paper. It suggest that in magnetized dusty plasmas the envelope solitary waves exist. The modulational instability for three dimensional NLSE is studied as well. The regions of stability and instability are well determined in this paper.  相似文献

The head-on collisions between two ion thermal solitary waves in isothermal pair-ion plasmas containing charged dust grains is investigated. Using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method, the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations and the analytical phase shifts after the head-on collision of two- solitary waves are derived. The results show that the number densities of positive and negative dust grains to the density of positive ion ratios and the negative-to-positive ion temperature ratio have strong effects on the phase shifts.  相似文献

Stationary solutions of reversible evolutionary equations of mechanics with higher derivatives are analysed. A two-dimensional graphical method for investigating the solutions of systems of ordinary differential equations is described, which enables one to find special types of solutions: periodic waves, solitary waves and the structures of discontinuities. At the same time, solitary waves can be obtained by taking the limit of sequences of periodic waves and the structures of discontinuities obtained by taking the limit of sequences of solitary waves. This general approach has enabled the existence of all earlier predicted structures to be verified has enabled new types of structures (three-wave structures) to be revealed and has enabled all the necessary conditions at the discontinuities to be found. All the previously known types of solitary waves are found and new types of solitary waves are revealed (generalized ordinary and 1:1 multisolitons). Methods of finding generalized solitary waves, including those with a finite amplitude of the periodic component, are determined. Examples of the solution of the following problems are given for a fourth-order system: generalized solitary waves as the limiting solutions of two-wave resonance solutions, generalized solitary waves and the structure of a discontinuity with three waves, a 1:1 soliton and the structure of a discontinuity with a single radiated wave, a solitary wave with fixed propagation velocity, and the structure of a discontinuity in the form of a kink with radiation. A generalized 1:1 soliton and the structure of a discontinuity with two radiated waves is considered in the case of sixth-order systems. The discussion is mainly based on the example of travelling waves described by the generalized Korteweg-de Vries equations. Other models with complex dispersion (a plasma and a stratified fluid) are also considered.  相似文献

It is well known that the Korteweg–de Vires (KdV) equation can describe small but finite amplitude dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasmas. In this paper, we use the reductive perturbation method and derive a Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation, a modified KP (MKP) equation and a coupled KP equation for unmagnetized, collisionless, cold, and two-ion-temperature dusty plasmas with N different species of dust grains. We find that if a solitary wave exist in this system, the smaller grains have larger velocities and propagate longer distances than that of larger particles. The comparisons are given between the dusty plasma composed by different dust particles and the mono-sized dusty plasma.  相似文献

In this paper, the effects of quadratic singular curves in integrable wave equations are studied by using the bifurcation theory of dynamical system. Some new singular solitary waves (pseudo‐cuspons) and periodic waves are found more weak than regular singular traveling waves such as peaked soliton (peakon), cusp soliton (cuspon), cusp periodic wave, etc. We show that while the first‐order derivatives of the new singular solitary wave and periodic waves exist, their second‐order derivatives are discontinuous at finite number of points for the solitary waves or at infinitely countable points for the periodic wave. Moreover, an intrinsic connection is constructed between the singular traveling waves and quadratic singular curves in the phase plane of traveling wave system. The new singular periodic waves, pseudo‐cuspons, and compactons emerge if corresponding periodic orbits or homoclinic orbits are tangent to a hyperbola, ellipse, and parabola. In particular, pseudo‐cuspon is proposed for the first time. Finally, we study the qualitative behavior of the new singular solitary wave and periodic wave solutions through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.  相似文献

Embedded solitons are solitary waves residing inside the continuous spectrum of a wave system. They have been discovered in a wide array of physical situations recently. In this article, we present the first comprehensive theory on the dynamics of embedded solitons and nonlocal solitary waves in the framework of the perturbed fifth-order Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) hierarchy equation. Our method is based on the development of a soliton perturbation theory. By obtaining the analytical formula for the tail amplitudes of nonlocal solitary waves, we demonstrate the existence of single-hump embedded solitons for both Hamiltonian and non-Hamiltonian perturbations. These embedded solitons can be isolated (existing at a unique wave speed) or continuous (existing at all wave speeds). Under small wave speed limit, our results show that the tail amplitudes of nonlocal waves are exponentially small, and the product of the amplitude and cosine of the phase is a constant to leading order. This qualitatively reproduces the previous results on the fifth-order KdV equation obtained by exponential asymptotics techniques. We further study the dynamics of embedded solitons and prove that, under Hamiltonian perturbations, a localized wave initially moving faster than the embedded soliton will asymptotically approach this embedded soliton, whereas a localized wave moving slower than the embedded soliton will decay into radiation. Thus, the embedded soliton is semistable. Under non-Hamiltonian perturbations, stable embedded solitons are found for the first time.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust acoustic waves in two-dimensional dust plasma with vortex-like ion distribution are analytically investigated by using the formally variable separation approach. New analytical solutions for the governing equation of this system have been obtained for dust acoustic waves in a dust plasma for the first time. We derive exact analytical expressions for the general case of the nonlinear dust acoustic waves in two-dimensional dust plasma with vortex-like ion distribution.  相似文献

A problem on the dynamic instability of soliton solutions (solitary waves) of Hamilton's equations, describing plane waves in non-linear elastic composite media with or without anisotropy, is considered. In the anisotropic case, there are two two-parameter families of solitary waves: fast and slow and, when there is no anisotropy, there is one three-parameter family. A classification of the instability of solitary waves of the fast family in the anisotropic case and of representatives of families of solitary waves, the velocities of which lie outside of the range of stability when there is anisotropy and when there is no anisotropy, is given on the basis of a numerical solution of a Cauchy problem for the model equations. In this paper, the fundamental equations describing plane waves in non-linear, anisotropic, elastic composites are derived, the Hamilton form of the basic equations is presented, the symmetries in the anisotropic and isotropic cases are considered, the conserved quantities and the soliton solutions, that is, the solitary waves are presented, the nature of the instability of representatives of all three families is investigated, brief formulation of the results is presented and problems of the instability of the fast family in the anisotropic case and of representatives of the families, the velocities of which lie outside of the range of stability in the presence and absence of anisotropy (explosive instability), are discussed.  相似文献

By using the method of dynamical systems, the travelling wave solutions of a special CH–DP equation are studied. Exact explicit parametric representations of smooth solitary waves, solitary cusp waves, breaking waves and uncountably infinitely many smooth periodic wave solutions are given. In different regions of the parametric plane, different phase portraits are determined. The so called loop soliton solution is discussed.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the problem formulation of dust plasmas with positively charge, cold dust fluid with negatively charge, thermal electrons, ionized electrons, and immovable background neutral particles. We obtain the dust‐ion‐acoustic solitary waves (DIASWs) under nonmagnetized collision dusty plasma. By using the reductive perturbation technique, the nonlinear damped Korteweg‐de Vries (D‐KdV) equation is formulated. We found the solutions for nonlinear D‐KdV equation. The constructed solutions represent as bright solitons, dark solitons, kink wave and antikinks wave solitons, and periodic traveling waves. The physical interpretation of constructed solutions is represented by two‐ and three‐dimensional graphically models to understand the physical aspects of various behavior for DIASWs. These investigation prove that proposed techniques are more helpful, fruitful, powerful, and efficient to study analytically the other nonlinear nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) that arise in engineering, plasma physics, mathematical physics, and many other branches of applied sciences.  相似文献

A nonlinear distributed Schottky barrier diode is analyzed and it is found to be similar to a 3-component quasi-neutral plasma consisting of negative ions and electrons that are neutralized with positive ions. In such a plasma, it has been shown that both KdV and mKdV solitons can exist. We obtain the criteria for the distributed Schottky barrier diode that will permit the propagation of both KdV and mKdV solitary waves.  相似文献

We investigate exact soliton solutions for the discrete nonlinear electrical transmission line by performing the simplest equation method from a trivial seed solution. Starting from the nonlinear propagation of signals in electrical transmission lines, we derive exact traveling kink and antikink solitary wave solutions. It is shown that under a safe range of parameter, the shape of kink soliton can be controlled well by adjusting the parameter of the line. The analytical solutions for the kink and antikink solitary waves are tested in direct simulations.  相似文献

The Hirota bilinear method is prepared for searching the diverse soliton solutions for the fractional generalized Calogero‐Bogoyavlenskii‐Schiff‐Bogoyavlensky‐Konopelchenko (CBS‐BK) equation. Also, the Hirota bilinear method is used to finding the lump and interaction with two stripe soliton solutions. Interaction among lumps, periodic waves, and multi‐kink soliton solutions will be investigated. Also, the solitary wave, periodic wave, and cross‐kink wave solutions will be examined for the fractional gCBS‐BK equation. The graphs for various fractional order α are plotted to contain 3D plot, contour plot, density plot, and 2D plot. We construct the exact lump and interaction among other types solutions, by solving the under‐determined nonlinear system of algebraic equations for the associated parameters. Finally, analysis and graphical simulation are presented to show the dynamical characteristics of our solutions and the interaction behaviors are revealed. The existence conditions are employed to discuss the available got solutions.  相似文献
