We consider the reactive Boltzmann equations for a mixture of different species of molecules, including a fixed background. We propose a scaling in which the collisions involving this background are predominant, while the inelastic (reactive) binary collisions are very rare. We show that, at the formal level, the solutions of the Boltzmann equations converge toward the solutions of a reaction-diffusion system. The coefficients of this system can be expressed in terms of the cross sections of the Boltzmann kernels. We discuss various possible physical settings (gases having internal energy, presence of a boundary, etc.), and present one rigorous mathematical proof in a simplified situation (for which the existence of strong solutions to the Boltzmann equation is known). 相似文献

In this paper, we study potential symmetries to certain systems of nonlinear diffusion equations. Thosesystems have physical applications in soil science, mathematical biology, and invariant curve flows in R^3. Lie point symmetries of the potential system, which cannot be projected to vector fields of the given dependent and independent variables, yield potential symmetries. We consider the Boltzmann equations for mixtures of Maxwell gases. It is shown that in certain limiting case the equations admit self-similar solutions that can be constructed in explicit form. More precisely, the solutions have simple explicit integral representations. The most interesting solutions have finite energy and power like tails. This shows that power like tails can appear not just for granular particles (Maxwell models are far from reality in this case), but also in the system of particles interacting in accordance with laws of classical mechanics. In addition, non-existence of positive self-similar solutions with finite moments of any order is proven for a wide class of Maxwell models. 相似文献

Abstract Results of two routine 40Ar/39Ar stepwise heating experiments on a biotite and a basanite are interpreted in terms of Fick's and Arrhenius' laws. Both patterns represent a saddle-shaped 39Ar release. Argon isotope spectra are suggested to be controlled by the activation energy of diffusion E and the frequency factor Do . The activation energy of 39Ar is lower than the one of 40Ar. This results in a preferable release of 40Ar relatively to 39Ar at high-temperature steps and an increasing high-temperature wing in the saddle-shaped age spectrum. At low temperatures, considerable losses and irregularities in release of mainly 39Ar are observed, which cause the decreasing low-temperature wing in the “saddle”. The suggestion of argon losses (mainly of 39Ar) from a loose, “unstable” zone of the mineral structures becomes justified. The n-irradiation of the samples and the shift of E of 39Ar towards lower values seems to explain the saddle-shaped age-spectra often encountered in 40Ar/39Ar-geochronometry. 相似文献

From the nonlinear sine-Gordon equation, new transformations are obtained in this paper, which are applied to propose a new approach to construct exact periodic solutions to nonlinear wave equations. This paper is devoted to investigating exact solutions of a generalized fractional nonlinear anomalous diffusion equation in radical symmetry. The presence of external force and absorption is also considered. We first investigate the nonlinear anomalous diffusion equations with one-fractional derivative and then multi-fractional ones. In both situations, we obtain the corresponding exact solutions, and the solutions found here can have a compact behavior or a long tailed behavior. 相似文献

The transition probability for a carrier hopping between randomly placed sites is determined for a system in thermodynamic equilibrium. The effect of the first waiting time is included and the result is shown to be consistent with the theory of statistical thermodynamics. Furthermore, a comparison is made with the master equation approach, which is shown to be exact when the waiting times are exponentially distributed. 对一般四边形网格设计一种优化的节点控制体, 并构造了一种扩散方程的保极值二阶收敛的局部线性节点计算格式(优化控制体节点格式, VOC格式)。在网格不出现异常节点的情况下, 证明VOC格式是保极值、线性精确和二阶收敛的。而且在均匀的矩形网格上, 修正的逆距离加权格式与VOC格式等价, 从而对间断系数问题也是局部二阶收敛的。VOC格式可以用于单元中心型线性扩散格式和保正格式的节点值计算。数值算例表明对扭曲网格上的间断系数问题, VOC格式是二阶收敛的。采用VOC格式计算节点值的线性九点格式具有线性精确性和二阶收敛性, 采用VOC格式的保正格式也具有二阶收敛性。 相似文献
