A systematic procedure in writing down the infinite set of nonlocal conserved currents for a super-chiral model is given via Noether analysis. The first three conserved currents are explicitly shown.  相似文献

Starting from the transformation properties of an action integral of a system under local and nonlocal transformations, we derive the generalized Noether identities for a variant system under those transformations. The applications of the theory to the Yang-Mills field with higher order Lagrangian is presented under the Coulomb gauge condition, a new conserved PBRS charge is found which differs from the BRS conserved charge, and another conserved charge connected with nonlocal transformation is also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we show the scattering problem's equation of principal chiral model with Wess-Zumino-Witten term. Two sets of symmetry transforms are given and four series of conserved currents are obtained, in which two of them are Noether types and the others are not. Finally the Kac-Moody algebra is discussed.  相似文献

A new nonlocal form of the off-shell kinetic equation is derived. While being equivalent to the Kadanoff-Baym and Botermans-Malfliet formulations in the range of formal applicability, it has certain advantages beyond this range. It possessesmore accurate conservation laws for Noether quantities than those in the Botermans-Malfliet formulation. At the same time the nonlocal form, similarly to the Botermans-Malfliet one, allows application of the test-particle method for its numerical solution, which makes it practical for simulations of heavy-ion collisions. The physical meaning of the time-space nonlocality is clarified. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Fin materials can be observed in a variety of engineering applications. They are used to ease the dissipation of heat from a heated wall to the surrounding environment. In this work, we consider a nonlinear fin problem with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and heat transfer coefficient. The equation(s) under study are highly nonlinear. Both the thermal conductivity and the heat transfer coefficient are given as arbitrary functions of temperature. Firstly, we consider the Lie group analysis for different cases of thermal conductivity and the heat transfer coefficients. These classifications are obtained from the Lie group analysis. Then, the first integrals of the nonlinear straight fin problem are constructed by three methods, namely, Noether’s classical method, partial Noether approach and Ibragimov’s nonlocal conservation method. Some exact analytical solutions are also constructed. The obtained result is also compared with the result obtained by other methods.  相似文献

In this work we study the Lagrangian and the conservation laws for a wave equation with a dissipative source. Using semi-inverse method, we show that the equation possesses a nonlocal Lagrangian with an auxiliary function. As a result, from a modified Noether's theorem and the nonclassical Noether symmetry generators, we construct some conservation laws for this equation, which are different from the ones obtained by Ibragimov's theorem in [Y. Wang and L. Wei, Abstr. App. Anal. 2013(2013) 407908]. The results show that our method work for arbitrary functions f(u)and g(u) rather than special ones.  相似文献

In Einstein-Cartan theory, by the use of thegeneral Noether theorem, the general covariantangular-momentum conservation law is obtained withrespect to the local Lorentz transformations. Thecorresponding conservative Noether current is interpreted asthe angular momentum tensor of the gravity-matter systemincluding the spin density. It is pointed out that, assuming the tetrad transformation given by eq. (15), then torsion does not play a role in theconservation law of angular momentum.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is twofold: (a) to find a natural example of a perturbed Lagrangian that has different partial Noether operators with symmetries different from those of the underlying Lagrangian. First we regard the Schwarzschild spacetime as a perturbation of the Minkowski spacetime and investigate the approximate partial Noether operators for this perturbed spacetime. It is shown that the Minkowski spacetime has 12 partial Noether operators, 10 of which are different from the 17 Noether symmetries for this spacetime. It is found that for the perturbed Schwarzschild spacetime we recover the exact partial Noether operators as trivial first-order approximate partial Noether operators and there is no non-trivial approximate partial Noether operator as for the Noether case. As a consequence we state a conjecture. (b) Then we prove a conjecture that the approximate symmetries of a perturbed Lagrangian form a subalgebra of the approximate symmetries of the corresponding perturbed Euler–Lagrange equations and illustrate it by our examples. This is in contrast to approximate partial Noether operators.  相似文献

We consider a self‐interacting, perturbative Klein‐Gordon quantum field in a curved spacetime admitting a Killing vector field. We show that the action of this spacetime symmetry on interacting field operators can be implemented by a Noether charge which arises, in a certain sense, as a surface integral over the time‐component of some interacting Noether current‐density associated with the Killing field. The proof of this involves the demonstration of a corresponding set of Ward identities. Our work is based on the perturbative construction by Brunetti and Fredenhagen (Commun. Math. Phys. 208 (2000) 623—661) of self‐interacting quantum field theories in general globally hyperbolic spacetimes.  相似文献

We present two-dimensional gauged Lifshitz scalar field theories by considering the duality relation between the source current and the Noether current. Requiring the duality partially, we obtain a gauged model which recovers the bosonized Schwinger model for the IR limit. For the exact duality, however, the source current is not conserved, which means that the resulting theory is anomalous, so that the number of degrees of freedom is increased. The second model is consistently formulated by adding the Wess–Zumino type action to maintain the gauge invariance.  相似文献

We theoretically report a nonlocal Andreev reflection in an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer, which is a three-terminal normal metal/superconductor (NS) mesoscopic hybrid system. It is found that this nonlocal Andreev reflection is sensitive to the systematic parameters, such as the bias voltages, the quantum dot levels, and the external magnetic flux. If we set the chemical potential of one normal metal lead equal to zero, the electronic current in the lead results from two competing processes: the quasiparticle transmission and nonlocal Andreev reflection. The appearance of zero electronic current signals unambiguously the existence of this nonlocal Andreev reflection.  相似文献

It has been known for some time that the exchange-correlation potential in time-dependent density-functional theory is an intrinsically nonlocal functional of the density as soon as one goes beyond the adiabatic approximation. In this paper we show that a much more severe nonlocality problem, with a completely different physical origin, plagues the exchange-correlation potentials in time-dependent spin-density functional theory. We show how the use of the spin current density as a basic variable solves this problem, and we provide an explicit local expression for the exchange-correlation fields as functionals of the spin currents.  相似文献

The Noether current and its variation relation with respect to diffeomorphism invariance of gravitationaltheories have been derived from the horizontal variation and vertical-horizontal bi-variation of the Lagrangian, respec-tively. For Einstein‘s GR in the stationary, axisymmetric black holes, the mass formula in vacuum can be derived fromthis Noether current although it definitely vanishes. This indicates that the mass formula of black holes is a vanishingNoether charge in this case. The first law of black hole thermodynamics can also be derived from the variation relationof this vanishing Noether current.  相似文献

In this paper, we have investigated Noether symmetries in Lemaitre–Tolman–Bondi (LTB) metric. Using the Lagrangian associated with the LTB metric, the set of determining equations for Noether symmetries is obtained and then integrated in several cases. It is shown that the LTB metric can be classified in to eight distinct classes corresponding to Noether algebra of dimension 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 17. The obtained Noether symmetries are compared with Killing and homothetic vectors. The well known Noether’s theorem is used to find the expressions for conservation laws in each case. Moreover, it is shown that most of the obtained metrics are anisotropic or perfect fluid models which satisfy certain energy conditions and the equation of state.  相似文献

For a relativistic holonomic nonconservative system, by using the Noether symmetry, a new non-Noether conserved quantity is given under general infinitesimal transformations of groups. On the basis of the theory of invariance of differential equations of motion under general infinitesimal transformations, we construct the relativistic Noether symmetry, Lie symmetry and the condition under which the Noether symmetry is a Lie symmetry under general infinitesimal transformations. By using the Noether symmetry, a new relativistic non-Noether conserved quantity is given which only depends on the variables $t$, $q_s $ and $\dot {q}_s $. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

In relativistic classical and quantum mechanics with Poincaré-invariant parameter, particle worldlines are traced out by the evolution of spacetime events. The formulation of a covariant canonical framework for the evolving events leads to a dynamical theory in which mass conservation is demoted from a priori constraint to the status of conserved Noether current for a certain class of interactions. In pre-Maxwell electrodynamics—the local gauge theory associated with this framework —events induce five local off-shell fields, which mediate interactions between instantaneous events, not between the worldlines which represent entire particle histories. The fifth field, required to compensate for dependence of gauge transformations on the evolution parameter, enables the exchange of mass between particles and fields. In the equilibrium limit, these pre-Maxwell fields are pushed onto the zero-mass shell, but during interactions there is no mechanism regulating the mass that photons may acquire, even when event trajectories evolve far into the spacelike region. This feature of the off-shell formalism requires the application of some ad hoc mechanism for controlling the photon mass in two opposite physical domains: the low energy motion of a charged event in classical Coulomb scattering, and the renormalization of off-shell quantum electrodynamics. In this paper, we discuss a nonlocal, higher derivative correction to the photon kinetic term, which provides regulation of the photon mass in a manner which preserves the gauge invariance and Poincaré covariance of the original theory. We demonstrate that the inclusion of this term is equivalent to an earlier solution to the classical Coulomb problem, and that the resulting quantum field theory is renormalized.  相似文献

We investigate the critical behavior of one-dimensional (1D) stochastic flow with competing nonlocal and local hopping events, in context of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with a defect site in a 1D closed chain. The defect site can effectively generate various boundary conditions, controlling the total number of particles in the system. Both open and periodic-like setups exhibit dynamic instability transitions from a populated finite density phase to an empty road (ER) phase as the nonlocal hopping rate increases. In the stationary populated phase, strong clustering promoted by nonlocal skids drives such transitions and determines their scaling properties. By static and dynamic simulations, we locate such transition points, and discuss their nature and scaling properties. In the open TASEP variant, we numerically establish that the instability transition into the ER phase is second order in the regime where the entry point reservoir controls the current, while it is first order in the regime where the bulk controls the current. Since it is well known that such transitions are absent in the periodic TASEP variant, we compare our results in the open setup with those in the periodic-like setup, and discuss the issue of the ensemble equivalence. Finally, the same discussion is extended to the symmetric cases.   相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the Noether symmetry and Noether conservation law of elastic rod dynamics with two independent variables: time t and arc coordinate s. Starting from the Lagrange equations of Cosserat rod dynamics, the criterion of Noether symmetry with Lagrange style for rod dynamics is given and the Noether conserved quantity is obtained. Not only are the conservations of generalized moment and generalized energy obtained, but also some other integrals.  相似文献
