The forced vibration of an elastic plate under a time harmonic point force is studied. The plate is infinite in extent and supported by an elastic foundation. This study is made on the basis of the improved (Timoshenko) plate theory. The mathematical problem is to seek a fundamental solution (the Green's function) of the time-reduced plate equation of the improved plate theory. Such a fundamental solution is constructed by the distributional Fourier transform method. From the explicit expressions of the fundamental solution, the behavior of the fundamental singularity as a function of the vibration frequency and the foundation stiffness is examined. Conditions under which plate resonance occurs are also determined.  相似文献

The frequencies and associated mode shapes of a shearwall-frame building interacting with an elastic foundation are determined by using an iterative technique iith the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The eigenfunctions of a clamped-free prismatic shear-flexure beam are suitably modified to generate the required shape functions. The mean-square bending moment of a thick rectangular plate excited by a uniform distribution of stationary random forces that are uncorrelated in space is calculated. The plate has in-plane compressive or tensile stresses. In addition, the plate is mounted on an elastic foundation. Numerical results are given for plates with uniform initial stress when the temporal correlation function of the excitation possesses an exponential decay. In general it can be said that the position on the plate where the mean-square moment takes on a maximum value depends upon the relative values of the initial stress, the stiffness of the foundation and the aspect ratio of the plate. The mean-square response amplitude of the plate on a foundation never exceeds that of the plate without a foundation, regardless of the intensity of the initial stress or the geometrical configuration of the plate.  相似文献

A set of gasdynamic equations is given in the general form for matter with an arbitrary equation of state in the case when the entropy equation is used instead of the energy equation. In the ideal gas approximation in view of viscosity, a numerical investigation is performed of non-steady-state two-dimensional flows in a channel with a cavity. The calculation results have demonstrated that, given the flow velocity and the geometry of channel and cavity, pressure pulsations arise that are due to the departure of vortices from the cavity into the main flow. The values of the amplitude and frequency of pressure pulsations are determined. If measures are taken aimed at limiting the departure of vortices from the cavity, for example, a baffle is installed to restrict the interaction between the main flow and gas in the cavity, one can considerably increase the flow velocity in the channel, unaffected by the cavity. Such non-steady-state flows may be realized in MHD-generator channels, resonators of gas flow lasers, gas ducts for ventilation and gas transport systems, mufflers, whistles, etc.  相似文献

基于Kirchhoff理论讨论圆截面弹性螺旋杆的动力学问题.以杆中心线的Frenet坐标系为参考系,建立用欧拉角描述的弹性杆动力学方程.讨论其在端部轴向力和扭矩作用下保持的无扭转螺旋线平衡状态.在静力学和动力学领域内讨论其平衡稳定性问题.还讨论了弹性杆平衡的Lyapunov稳定性和欧拉稳定性两种不同稳定性概念之间的区别和联系.在一次近似意义下证明了螺旋杆在空间域内的欧拉稳定性条件是时域内Lyapunov稳定性的必要条件.导出了解析形式螺旋杆三维弯曲振动的固有频率,为螺旋线倾角和受扰挠性线波数的函数. 关键词: 弹性螺旋杆 Kirchhoff动力学比拟 Lyapunov稳定性 欧拉稳定性  相似文献

Experiments were conducted to measure the arrival time and the power density spectra of wide-band ultrasonic pulses as scattered by a circular, cylindrical, solid inclusion in a matrix of aluminium. Cavities of 3.18 and 6.35 mm diameter were alternately filled with four different solids possessing a wide range of acoustic properties. Results show that the time history and the spectral analysis of the scattered pulses can be used to determine the size of the cavity or the wave velocity in the solid inclusion.  相似文献

We consider the problem of Nicolai on dynamic stability of an elastic cantilever rod loaded by an axial compressive force P and a twisting tangential torque L in continuous formulation. The problem is to find the stability region for non-equal principal moments of inertia of the rod in the space of three parameters: P, L and the parameter α for the ratio of principal moments of inertia. New governing equations and boundary conditions, which form the basis for analytical and numerical studies, are derived. An important detail of this formulation is that the pre-twisting of the rod due to the torque L is taken into account. The singular point on the stability boundary at the critical Euler force PE is recognized and investigated in detail. For an elliptic cross-section of a uniform rod the stability region is found numerically with the use of the Galerkin method and the exact numerical approach. The obtained numerical results are compared with the analytical formulas of the asymptotic analysis.  相似文献

In this paper we study the interaction of a viscous fluid with an elastic solid. Of particular interest are the eigenmodes of the coupled system. Starting from the Navier-Stokes equations for the fluid and the linear elasticity equations for the solid, we derive the linear equations governing the motion of the system. It is shown how a variational formulation of the problem may be obtained by re-scaling the displacement unknowns. The finite-element technique is then used to discretize the equations. The resulting quadratic eigenvalue problem is solved by means of an inverse iteration procedure.  相似文献

We investigate the morphologies and maximum packing density of thin wires packed into spherical cavities. Using simulations and experiments, we find that ordered as well as disordered structures emerge, depending on the amount of internal torsion. We find that the highest packing densities are achieved in low torsion packings for large systems, but in high torsion packings for small systems. An analysis of both situations is given in terms of energetics and comparison is made to analytical models of DNA packing in viral capsids.  相似文献
