The hydrogenation of a number of oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds on Pt, Pd, and Rh blacks in the liquid phase at atmospheric pressure was investigated. It is shown that Gd-zeolites have a catalytic activity towards ethylene hydrogenation at 1 atm. This activity decreases with an increase in the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio from 2.2 to 6.1 and 4.1, i.e. upon going from an X type zeolite to Y and L. For these types of zeolite the activity grows with an increase in Gd3+ content from 50 to 80%. Oxygen addition to the reaction mixture stabilizes the catalytic activity of zeolites.

Hydrogen desorption proceeds in several temperature regions and differs by its order of magnitude and activation energy. Differential curves of adsorbed hydrogen distribution with respect to the desorption activation energy, dN/dE (E), show a considerable inhomogeneity of adsorbed atomic species and the energetic homogeneity of molecular species.

Determination of the fragmentation factor in a wide conversion range over Group VIII metals and Re indicated that the single character of the hydrogenolysis of 3-methylpentane is an inherent property of the catalyst and is almost independent of the conversion level. Multiple hydrogenolysis occurs in most cases as rapid subsequent terminal splitting.

Summary Synthetic methods, structural and chemical aspects of Group VIII 6-arene complexes have been reviewed. A section on metal vapor syntheses of these -arene complexes -has been included. -Arene complexes of Group VIII metals in all oxidation states (0, +1, +2, +3) are discussed. Particular emphasis on the -arene ligands lability has been made, and the resultant rich chemistry of the complexes outlined, including catalytic properties.  相似文献

The hydrogenation of ethylene and propylene over MgO doped with alkali metal vapors has been studied. All the catalysts examined are active in hydrogenation at 150 °C at atmospheric pressure. It is proposed that the catalytic activity of the systems investigated is connected with strong one-electron donor surface sites.
