Collision effects on water vapor at low concentration in a mixture with noble gases (helium, argon and xenon) have been studied by Fourier transform spectroscopy in the pressure range where line narrowing by dynamic confinement (Dicke effect) and collision broadening are observable, i.e. when the Voigt function cannot reproduce the observed profiles. Precise values of the broadening parameter have been obtained for the P and Q branches of the H2O ν 2 band taking into account molecular confinement (hard or soft collisions). The broadening parameter value derived from a Voigt profile for H2O lines perturbed by helium is smaller by about 10% than values determined using the soft or hard collision model. For H2O lines perturbed by argon or xenon this difference can reach more than 50% for the narrowest lines.  相似文献

Summary We compute the intensity of the emission in the O VI, Mg X, Si XII, Fe XIII, Fe XVI transitions and the profiles of these spectral lines for a plasma flowing out of reconnecting current sheets that originate in the active region corona either during transient brightenings or in preflare conditions. The characteristic of these lines is a significant non-thermal broadening consistent with plasma non-thermal velocities of the order of 300 km s−1. Hence, it is possible to infer the occurrence of magnetic reconnection in the solar corona by investigating the broadening of transition region and coronal lines in the sites where reconnection is presumed to take place.  相似文献

A theory is developed for the broadening of He I lines with forbidden components which is valid at low densities (where the forbidden line is reasonably well isolated). This theory takes into account the effects of dynamic ion broadening. Application to λ4471Å gives good agreement with experiment and with a recent calculation of Lee; reasons for agreement with Lee are discussed in detail. Comprehensive tables for 4471Å are presented. These have been extended further into the line wings than previous tabulations. Static ion theory is found to be adequate for densities greater than ~ 5 × 1015 cm?3. A simple numerical profile for allowed lines, taking into account dynamic ion effects, is also presented.  相似文献

Self broadening (van der Waals and resonance) and shift of Ne emission lines and van der Waals broadening and shift of He emission lines have been measured using a high pressure (0.5–3.0 atom), low current discharge. These results are compared with previous measurements in Ar and He to obtain a complete comparison of self broadening and shift of He, Ne and Ar emission lines. Oscillator strengths for the resonance transitions are obtained from the resonance broadening coefficients. The trend of the van der Waals broadening coefficients for the three noble gases is correctly predicted by a theory due to HINDMARSHet al.(4) in which a Lennard-Jones potential is used in the impact theory formalism. The measured line shifts cannot be accounted for by this theory and reflect the need for more accurate quantum mechanical calculations.  相似文献

The broadening and shift of spectral lines caused by the interaction of the emitting (or absorbing) atoms with surrounding particles in the plasma are commonly observed in laboratory and astronomical spectra. A study of reflectance spectra from thin ZnSxSe1−x solid-solution layers in the region of excitonic resonances is reported. It has been found that an increase in sulfur concentration in the layers increases the inhomogeneous broadening of the quantized polariton lines. It has been established that the inhomogeneous line broadening in a reflectance spectrum depends on the magnitude of exciton-photon mixing; it is small in the long-wavelength region where the photon component of the polariton is large, and large at short wavelengths where the mechanical component dominates. Using the semiclassical perturbation approach, Stark broadening parameters for Kr II 469.4 nm, Ar II 476.5 nm, and Ar II 480.6 nm spectral lines have been determined. The obtained results have been used for the investigation of the role of the Stark broadening mechanism on the mode properties of hollow cathode excited noble gas mixture lasers. It has been found that for the He-KrII 469.4 nm laser broadening by neutral atom collisions is large enough to explain the single-mode operation of this laser, as opposed to the He-ArII 476.5 nm laser where Stark broadening also has to be taken into account to explain this property. The behavior of the luminescence spectrum of solid solution Ni0.6Zn0.4O, in which two intense narrow lines were recently discovered, is investigated as a function of temperature. It is shown that the intensity of one of the lines drops in accordance with the Mott law with increasing temperature in the range between 10 and 50 K. The lines experience broadening, and the ratio of their intensities changes. In addition, the lines shift toward lower energies. This shift and broadening of both lines occur differently, suggesting that they are of different nature.  相似文献

The broadening of diffraction lines of layer faulted and, in particular, of microtwinned microstructures is analysed in detail. Thereby, stacked layer models turn out to be valuable to simulate the diffracted intensity if the metrics of the layers pertaining to the two types of domains are described by an average metrics plus domain-specific deviations from that metrics. Characteristic changes occur for the line-broadening effects if the fault probability and the extent of deviations from the average layer metrics vary. Emphasis is put, in particular, on a regime of line broadening characterised by merging of otherwise split peaks to yield single ones for sufficiently high twin probability. These merged peaks show unusual quadratic/parabolic increase of the integral breadths with the reflection order (parabolic microstrain broadening). This type of broadening has been predicted previously for special types of microstrain broadening, and indeed the (metrical) distortions of the domains with respect to the average structure allow perceiving even the twin-faulted microstructures as, in some sense, microstrained ones. Moreover, the special situation of superstructures is analysed, where the above mentioned merging is only observed for the fundamental but not for the superstructure reflections. Inconsistent (with respect to lattice metrics) peak positions can be observed for fundamental and superstructure reflections, which can affect lattice parameters determined from diffraction patterns.  相似文献

We propose a new method for determining the Stark broadening of atomic emission lines using laser‐induced breakdown spectroscopy. The method allows the determination of the Stark broadening in non–optically thin plasmas, through the introduction of a correction for self‐absorption. Couples of lines of the same species are considered. If one of the Stark broadenings is known, the determination of the other does not require the measurement of the electron density of the plasma. Examples are given for the application of the proposed method to the measurement of the Stark broadening of several aluminum emission lines (Al I at 308.2 nm, Al I at 394.4 nm, and Al I at 396.2 nm).  相似文献

利用空心针-板放电装置产生了大气压等离子体炬,采用光谱法测量了其内部及表面的电子密度. 向空心针中通入氩气,在大气环境中产生了长度为1cm的等离子体炬.实验分别测量了Hα谱线和ArⅠ(696.54nm)谱线,通过反卷积方法分离出其相应的Stark展宽,并由此计算了电子密度.结果发现,采用Hα谱线和ArⅠ(696.54nm)谱线Stark展宽计算得到的等离子体的电子密度分别为1.0×1015cm-3和3.78×1015关键词: 等离子体炬 电子密度 气体温度 Stark展宽  相似文献

气体分子吸收谱线的光谱参数是影响吸收光谱测量精度的重要因素,分子光谱数据库中收录的光谱参数大都具有较大的不确定度,用以测量气体温度等参数时会产生较大的测量误差。为了获得可用于燃烧场诊断的H2O谱线的光谱参数,采用时分复用技术,在温度、压强和H2O组分浓度可控的环境中对1.4 μm附近的吸收光谱开展了研究。对7 185.60和7 454.45 cm-1两条H2O谱线的线强度、展宽系数及其温度指数等光谱参数进行测量,实验结果表明,两条谱线的线强度测量值与数据库中的值偏差分别小于2.61%和4.65%,不确定度都小于4%。  相似文献

原子法激光同位素分离的核心之一是如何高效地将原子激发电离.本文从原子法激光同位素分离的实际情况出发,研究了原子吸收谱线的Doppler展宽对原子电离率的影响.研究中使用的理论工具是原子激发电离的密度矩阵方程,并利用数值计算方法对方程进行求解.研究结果表明:当吸收谱线有Doppler展宽时,在激光参数不变的条件下原子电离率会降低;且当激光功率固定时,存在使原子电离率为最大的线宽值.这与已发表文献中无Doppler展宽时的计算结果有很大不同.为了追求最佳的原子电离效果,在原子法激光同位素分离系统中激光应该尽可能地工作在最佳线宽条件下.如果激光线宽有不可控的随机波动,在技术上让激光线宽略大于最佳线宽更为有利.无论如何控制激光线宽,尽可能地降低原子吸收谱线的Doppler展宽都有利于原子电离率的提高.  相似文献

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer, we have measured the O2, N2, air-shift and broadening coefficients for 5 lines of ammonia in the R branch of the ν2 band. These lines are located in the spectral range 1030-1070 cm−1. The pressure shift and broadening are obtained by fitting the measured shapes of these lines by a Voigt profile. The broadening parameters and shift coefficients are compared to the results of theoretical calculations based on the semiclassical Robert-Bonamy formalism (RB) in which the intermolecular potential includes electrostatic, induction, and dispersion energy contributions. The variation of these coefficients with rotational and vibrational quantum numbers is examined. The results are generally in satisfactory agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

Oxygen pressure induced broadening and shifting coefficients for water vapor absorption lines in the 8600–9010 cm−1 region have been measured and calculated. The spectra were recorded with a Bruker IFS 125HR spectrometer at a spectral resolution of 0.01 cm−1 for lines with angular moment of the upper states up to 10. Calculations of line broadening and shifting coefficients are performed using a semi-empirical approach. The method is based on the impact theory of broadening, and includes the correction factors whose parameters can be determined by fitting the broadening or shifting coefficients to the experimental data. The comparison of our calculations with the experimental values argues that the semi-empirical method is quite acceptable for the determination of the water vapor absorption line profile parameters.  相似文献

In this study we report the first measurements of the pressure-induced lineshift coefficients due to Ar, He, O(2), and N(2) for 22 rovibrational lines from P(53) to R(53), belonging to the 2nu(3) band of (16)O(12)C(32)S at 4100 cm(-1). The lineshift results were obtained from the simultaneous record of the pressure-broadened and pure low-pressure OCS lines, using a tunable difference-frequency laser spectrometer. For four lines of the 2nu(3) band we also report Ar-, He-, O(2)-, and N(2)-broadening coefficients by fitting Voigt and Rautian profiles to the measured shapes of these lines. The broadening and shift coefficients are compared to the results of theoretical calculations based on the semiclassical Robert-Bonamy formalism and two different isotropic and anisotropic intermolecular potentials. For OCS-Ar we also consider the Smith-Giraud-Cooper model including all orders of the interaction within the peaking approximation. In all cases, the calculated broadening coefficients are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data. By considering adjustable parameters for the vibrational dependence of the isotropic potential, the general trends of the lineshifts with J can be roughly predicted, except at low J values where an asymmetry behavior for P and R branches is generally observed. A study of hydrogen lines emitted in dense and low temperature plasmas is presented. Coupling and ionization effects in a transition from impact to quasi-static broadening for electrons are analyzed with the help of the Frequency Fluctuation Model (FFM). Electron broadening of Balmer series lines is studied for different densities and temperatures spanning a wide domain from impact to quasi-static limit. It is shown that electronic broadening makes a transition from impact to quasi-static limit depending on plasma conditions and principal quantum number. Even for the Balmer alpha line, at a density equals 1018 cm-3 and a temperature equals 1 eV, this transition occurs both in the wings and the core of the line.  相似文献
