采用线性组合算符和幺正变换方法研究了在库仑场束缚下抛物量子点中强耦合束缚极化子的振动频率和光学声子平均数,并对其进行了数值计算。结果表明:强耦合束缚极化子的振动频率和光学声子平均数随量子点的有效受限长度的增加而减小,随电子-LO声子耦合强度的增强而增加,束缚极化子的振动频率随库仑势的增加而减小。  相似文献

It is well known that dipolar field effects lead to multiple spin echoes in a simple two-RF pulse experiment (the MSE experiment). We show here that coherence transfer echoes (which identify the existence of multiple quantum coherences in liquid NMR) and multiple spin echoes have a common origin. Using density matrix theory we have calculated the phase and timing of multiple spin echoes from all quadrature phase combinations of RF pulses. We show for the MSE experiment that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the time domain echo order and the multiple quantum coherence order. The experimental confirmation of these phase predictions shows that multiple spin echoes provide independent evidence for the breakdown of the high temperature approximation as proposed by Warren et al. (Science 262, 2005 (1993)).  相似文献

We show the existence of Lorentz invariant Berry phases generated, in the Stueckelberg–Horwitz–Piron manifestly covariant quantum theory (SHP), by a perturbed four dimensional harmonic oscillator. These phases are associated with a fractional perturbation of the azimuthal symmetry of the oscillator. They are computed numerically by using time independent perturbation theory and the definition of the Berry phase generalized to the framework of SHP relativistic quantum theory.  相似文献

自由电子束经光的驻波散射服从布拉格(Bragg)定律的设想由Kapitza和Dirac(KD)于1933年提出.这一效应在近70年以后的2001年经Batelaan等人用实验证实.近日,电子束的KD衍射的理论以中国物理学家为主用非微扰量子电动力学做出.新理论不但解释了Batelaan的实验,还预言了若干新现象.由于玻色一爱因斯坦凝聚的发展及高科技领域的需要,原子和电子形成的物质波须由KD效应进行控制.巨大的应用前景正在使KD效应的研究由冷门变为热门.  相似文献

Several recent experiments have shown that protons, and to some extent also deuterons, show anomalous cross sections when the neutrons have energies in the range 10-100 eV (this results in a Compton scattering process where an essential part of the energy is transferred to one of the scattering particles). Here, an experiment on partially deuterated water, carried out by Chatzidimitriou-Dreismann et al., is analyzed in terms of a theory, which assumes that during the short duration (<10(-15) s) of this scattering process, protons are exchange correlated and cannot be considered as independent scattering objects. The quantum decoherence time for protons in liquid water is estimated from a simple model for the interaction of the water protons with hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

We perform self-consistent quantum transport calculations in open quantum dots taking into account the effect of electron interaction. We demonstrate that, in the regime of the ultralow temperatures 2 pi kappa BT < or = delta (delta being the mean-level spacing), the electron interaction strongly smears the conductance oscillations and thus significantly affects their statistics. Our calculations are in good quantitative agreement with the observed ultralow temperature statistics of Huibers et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 81, 1917 (1998)]. Our findings question a conventional interpretation of the ultralow temperature saturation of the coherence time in open dots which is based on the noninteracting theories, where the agreement with the experiment is achieved by introducing additional phenomenological channels of dephasing.  相似文献

I discuss the interpretation of a recent experiment showing quantum interference in time. It is pointed out that the standard nonrelativistic quantum theory does not have the property of coherence in time, and hence cannot account for the results found. Therefore, this experiment has fundamental importance beyond the technical advances it represents. Some theoretical structures which consider the time as an observable, and thus could, in principle, have the required coherence in time, are discussed briefly, and the application of Floquet theory and the manifestly covariant quantum theory of Stueckelberg are treated in some detail. In particular, the latter is shown to account for the results in a simple and consistent way.  相似文献

Reznikov et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 75, 3340 (1995)]] have presented definitive observations of nonequilibrium noise in a quantum point contact. Especially puzzling is the "anomalous" peak structure of the excess noise measured at constant current; to date it remains unexplained. We show that their experiment directly reveals the deep link between conservation principles in the electron gas and its low-dimensional, mesoscopic behavior. The keys to that connection are gauge invariance and the compressibility sum rule. These are central not only to the experiment of Reznikov et al., but to the very nature of all mesoscopic transport.  相似文献

The nonperturbative quantum electrodynamies method proposed by Fu et al. [Phys. Rev. A 75 (2007) 063419] is employed to study the high-order above-threshold ionization (ATI) of a diatomic molecule. Based on this frequency-domain theory, the high-order ATI process can be regarded as ATI followed by laser-assisted collision, where the total transition amplitude is the coherent summation of the contributions from each ATI channel. The angular-resolved ATI spectrum, which agrees with the results by Becket et al. based on the time-domain method, is obtained by this frequency domain theory. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the interference characteristics representing the molecular structure in the ATI spectrum originates from the recollision of the electron with two-centre ion in each ATI channel.  相似文献

In view of the recently observed discrepancy of theory and experiment for muonic hydrogen [R. Pohl et al., Nature 466 (2010) 213], we reexamine the theory on which the quantum electrodynamic (QED) predictions are based. In particular, we update the theory of the 2P–2S Lamb shift, by calculating the self-energy of the bound muon in the full Coulomb + vacuum polarization (Uehling) potential. We also investigate the relativistic two-body corrections to the vacuum polarization shift, and we analyze the influence of the shape of the nuclear charge distribution on the proton radius determination. The uncertainty associated with the third Zemach moment 〈r32 in the determination of the proton radius from the measurement is estimated. An updated theoretical prediction for the 2S–2P transition is given.  相似文献

We use a local theory of photons purely as particles to model the single-photon experiment proposed by Tan, Walls, and Collett. Afshar et al. claim that their experiment shows a violation of the complementarity inequality. In this work, we study their claim using a modified Mach-Zehnder setup that represents a simpler version of the Afshar experiment. We find that our results are consistent with Afshar et al. experimental findings. However, we show that within standard quantum mechanics the results of the Afshar experiment do not lead to a violation of the complementarity inequality. We show that their claim originates from a particular technique they use to analyze their results. In their analysis, they assume a classical concept, that particles have a definite trajectory before detection, thus, they obtain which-way information by particle detection plus path extrapolation by applying momentum conservation. This analysis technique is standard in experimental particle physics. Important discoveries such as the detection of vector bosons have been made through the application of this technique. We note that particle detection plus path extrapolation is a suitable technique within de Broglie-Bohm theory of quantum mechanics.  相似文献

The relation between atomic tunneling states (ATS) and negative-U electron pairs in amorphous semiconductors is the oretically investigated in a simple model. By considering the interaction of ATS with the electrons of dangling bonds,we can not only derive negative-U electron pairs, but also explain the different properties between chalcogenide glassy semiconductors and tetrahedrally bonded amorphous semiconductors in a nature way. The connection of the density of the states of ATS with the electronic states of dangling bonds is also discussed, and our results can qualitatively account for the recent experiment of Fox et al. In addition, the urbach rule in chalcogenide glassy semiconductors is derived.  相似文献

David Finkelstein was very fond of the new information-theoretic paradigm of physics advocated by John Archibald Wheeler and Richard Feynman. Only recently, however, the paradigm has concretely shown its full power, with the derivation of quantum theory (Chiribella et al., Phys. Rev. A 84:012311, 2011; D’Ariano et al., 2017) and of free quantum field theory (D’Ariano and Perinotti, Phys. Rev. A 90:062106, 2014; Bisio et al., Phys. Rev. A 88:032301, 2013; Bisio et al., Ann. Phys. 354:244, 2015; Bisio et al., Ann. Phys. 368:177, 2016) from informational principles. The paradigm has opened for the first time the possibility of avoiding physical primitives in the axioms of the physical theory, allowing a re-foundation of the whole physics over logically solid grounds. In addition to such methodological value, the new information-theoretic derivation of quantum field theory is particularly interesting for establishing a theoretical framework for quantum gravity, with the idea of obtaining gravity itself as emergent from the quantum information processing, as also suggested by the role played by information in the holographic principle (Susskind, J. Math. Phys. 36:6377, 1995; Bousso, Rev. Mod. Phys. 74:825, 2002). In this paper I review how free quantum field theory is derived without using mechanical primitives, including space-time, special relativity, Hamiltonians, and quantization rules. The theory is simply provided by the simplest quantum algorithm encompassing a countable set of quantum systems whose network of interactions satisfies the three following simple principles: homogeneity, locality, and isotropy. The inherent discrete nature of the informational derivation leads to an extension of quantum field theory in terms of a quantum cellular automata and quantum walks. A simple heuristic argument sets the scale to the Planck one, and the currently observed regime where discreteness is not visible is the so-called “relativistic regime” of small wavevectors, which holds for all energies ever tested (and even much larger), where the usual free quantum field theory is perfectly recovered. In the present quantum discrete theory Einstein relativity principle can be restated without using space-time in terms of invariance of the eigenvalue equation of the automaton/walk under change of representations. Distortions of the Poincaré group emerge at the Planck scale, whereas special relativity is perfectly recovered in the relativistic regime. Discreteness, on the other hand, has some plus compared to the continuum theory: 1) it contains it as a special regime; 2) it leads to some additional features with GR flavor: the existence of an upper bound for the particle mass (with physical interpretation as the Planck mass), and a global De Sitter invariance; 3) it provides its own physical standards for space, time, and mass within a purely mathematical adimensional context. The paper ends with the future perspectives of this project, and with an Appendix containing biographic notes about my friendship with David Finkelstein, to whom this paper is dedicated.  相似文献

The open electron resonator, described by Duncan et al. [D.S. Duncan, M.A. Topinka, R.M. Westervelt, K.D. Maranowski, A.C. Gossard, Phys. Rev. B 64 (2001) 033310. [1]], is a mesoscopic device that has attracted considerable attention due to its remarkable behaviour (conductance oscillations), which has been explained by detailed theories based on the behaviour of electrons at the top of the Fermi sea. In this work, we study the resonator using the simple quantum quantum electrical circuit approach, developed recently by Li and Chen [Y.Q. Li, B. Chen, Phys. Rev. B 53 (1996) 4027. [2]]. With this approach, and considering a very simple capacitor-like model of the system, we are able to theoretically reproduce the observed conductance oscillations. A very remarkable feature of the simple theory developed here is the fact that the predictions depend mostly on very general facts, namely, the discrete nature of electric charge and quantum mechanics; other detailed features of the systems described enter as parameters of the system, such as capacities and inductances.  相似文献

This paper presents a simple way for an eavesdropper to eavesdrop freely the secret message in the experimental realization of quantum communication protocol proposed by Beige et al (2002 Acta Phys. Pol. A 101 357). Moreover, it introduces an efficient quantum secure communication protocol based on a publicly known key with decoy photons and two biased bases by modifying the original protocol. The total efficiency of this new protocol is double that of the original one. With a low noise quantum channel, this protocol can be used for transmitting a secret message.
