Nanofluids are forthcoming new generation heat transfer fluids, which have been scrutinized precisely, in current years. Thermophysical assets of these fluids have noteworthy impact on their heat transfer features. In this current investigation a mathematical relation for two dimensional (2D) flow of magnetite Maxwell nanofluid influenced by a stretched cylinder is established. To visualize the stimulus of Brownian moment and thermophoresis phenomena on Maxwell fluid Buongiorno's relation has been considered. Moreover, heat sink/source and convective condition are also presented for heat transport mechanism. The homotopic scheme has been developed for the solutions of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The achieved outcomes are planned and consulted in aspects for somatic parameters. It is noteworthy that the velocity of Maxwell fluid display conflicting performance for curvature parameter and Deborah number. It is also reported that the liquid velocity decays for magnetic parameter, whereas the nanoliquid temperature and concentration field enhance for magnetic parameter. Furthermore, the liquid temperature intensifies for the progressive values of thermophoresis parameter and Brownian motion. Additionally, endorsement of current significances is organized via benchmarking with earlier famous limiting situations and we pledge a marvelous communication with these outcomes. 相似文献

The effects of a heat sink and the source size and location on the entropy generation, MHD natural convection flow and heat transfer in an inclined porous enclosure filled with a Cu-water nanofluid are investigated numerically. A uniform heat source is located in a part of the bottom wall, and a part of the upper wall of the enclosure is maintained at a cooled temperature, while the remaining parts of these two walls are thermally insulated. Both the left and right walls of the enclosure are considered to be adiabatic. The thermal conductivity and the dynamic viscosity of the nanofluid are represented by different verified experimental correlations that are suitable for each type of nanoparticle. The finite difference methodology is used to solve the dimensionless partial differential equations governing the problem. A comparison with previously published works is performed, and the results show a very good agreement. The results indicate that the Nusselt number decreases via increasing the nanofluid volume fraction as well as the Hartmann number. The best location and size of the heat sink and the heat source considering the thermal performance criteria and magnetic effects are found to be D?=?0.7 and B?=?0.2. The entropy generation, thermal performance criteria and the natural heat transfer of the nanofluid for different sizes and locations of the heat sink and source and for various volume fractions of nanoparticles are also investigated and discussed. 相似文献

In this communication, an optimization of entropy generation is performed through thermodynamics second law. Tangent hyperbolic nanomaterial model is used which describes the important slip mechanism namely Brownian and thermophoresis diffusions. MHD fluid is considered. The novel binary chemical reaction model is implemented to characterize the impact of activation energy. Nonlinear mixed convection, dissipation and Joule heating are considered. Appropriate similarity transformations are implemented to get the required coupled ODEs system. The obtained system is tackled for series solutions by homotopy method. Graphs are constructed to analyze the impact of different flow parameters on entropy number, nanoparticle volume concentration, temperature and velocity fields. Total entropy generation rate is calculated via various flow variables. It is noticed from obtained results that entropy number depend up thermal irreversibility, viscous dissipation and Joule heating irreversibility and concentration irreversibility. Decreasing behavior of concentration is witnessed for higher estimations of chemical reaction variable. Entropy number is more for higher Hartmann number, Weissenberg number and chemical reaction variable while contrast behavior is noted for Bejan number. 相似文献

Nanofluids are embryonic as auspicious thermo liquids for application of heat transfer which have been scrutinized precisely, in current eons. Thermo-physical properties of these liquids have noteworthy stimulus on their heat transfer features. The manifestation of dense nanoparticles in the base liquid ominously intensifies the effective liquid thermal conductivity and therefore heightens the features of heat transfer. The highest attention of this exertion is to investigate the features of nanoparticles mass flux conditions and non-uniform heat sink/source on magnetite Oldroyd-B nanofluid. Additionally, heat convective and thermal radiation mechanisms are considered. Homotopic approach has been established for the solution of non-linear structures. The upshots elucidate that the Brownian and thermophrosis nanoparticles exaggerate the temperature field, however analogous tendency is being noted for thermal radiation and non-uniform heat sink/source parameters. This exertion also investigated that the concentration of Oldroyd-B nanofluid decline for curvature parameter and augment for thermophrosis parameter. In addition, for the endorsement of up-to-date derived clarifications a comparison table of skin friction coefficient is organized in limiting circumstances. 相似文献

Reduction in b-values before a large earthquake is a very popular topic for discussion. This study proposes an alternative sandpile model being able to demonstrate reduction in scaling exponents before large events through adaptable long-range connections. The distant connection between two separated cells was introduced in the sandpile model. We found that our modified long-range connective sandpile (LRCS) system repeatedly approaches and retreats from a critical state. When a large avalanche occurs in the LRCS model, accumulated energy dramatically dissipates and the system simultaneously retreats from criticality. The system quickly approaches the critical state accompanied by the increase in the slopes of the power-law frequency-size distributions of events. Afterwards, and most interestingly, the power-law slope declines before the next large event. The precursory b-value reduction before large earthquakes observed from earthquake catalogues closely mimics the evolution in power-law slopes for the frequency-size distributions of events derived in the LRCS models. Our paper, thus, provides a new explanation for declined b-values before large earthquakes. 相似文献
