本文研究了单位球Bn上小伸缩商拟共形群的离散性质，给出了一个收敛定理，并且证明了在一定限制条件下任意一个非初等非离散小伸缩商拟共形群含有一个二元生成的非初等非离散子群。

On Limit Sets and Discreteness Criteria for Nonelementary Subgroups of M（R^n）

In this paper, we will study the nonelementary groups of MSbius transformations in R^n and some properties are obtained. Also in this paper we will prove several theorems about discreteness criteria and group convergence of nonelementary groups of M（R^n）.     

On Algebraic Limits and Topological Properties of Sets of Möbius groups in $ \bar {R}^n $

Let G be the algebraic limit of a sequence $ \{ G_m\} $ of r generator subgroups of $ M(\bar {R}^n) $ . We prove that (i) if $ G_m $ is elementary, then G is elementary; (ii) if $ G_m $ is not non-elementary and non-discrete and G satisfies the Condition A, then G is not non-elementary and non-discrete. Let $ E_l = \{ (f_1, f_2,\ldots ,f_l): f_1,f_2,\ldots ,f_l\in M(\bar {R}^2), \langle \,f_1,f_2,\ldots , \,f_l \rangle\ elementary\} $ and $ D_l = \{ (f_1,f_2,\ldots ,f_l): f_1,f_2,\ldots ,f_l\in M(\bar {R}^2), \langle \,f_1,f_2,\ldots ,f_l \rangle\ discrete\} $ . we obtain that the set $ E_l , D_l\cup E_l $ and $ D_l\cap E_l^c $ are closed in $ \underbrace {M(\bar {R}^2)\times \cdots \times M(\bar {R}^2)}\limits _{l} $ .     

On the discreteness criterion in <Emphasis Type="Italic">SL</Emphasis>(2, C)

In Tukia and Wang (Math. Scand 91:214–220, 2002) the authors conjectured that a non-elementary subgroup in SL(2, C) containing parabolic and elliptic elements is discrete if and only if each two-generator subgroup generated by a parabolic and an elliptic element is discrete. The purpose of this paper is to give an affirmative answer to this question.

Extentions between admissible representations of isometry groups of regular trees

This is the continuation of our previous work (Demir, Geom. Dedicata 105, 189–207, 2004). In this paper, we study extensions between admissible representations of the isometry groups of regular trees. We use the results of Demir, (Geom. Dedicata 105, 189–207, 2004) to show, following Schneider and Stuhler (J. Reine. Angew. Math. 436, 19–32, 1993) in the p-adic case, that extensions between admissible representations of G are finite-dimensional.     

Hall’s Theorem for Limit Groups

A celebrated theorem of Marshall Hall Jr. implies that finitely generated free groups are subgroup separable and that all of their finitely generated subgroups are retracts of finite-index subgroups. We use topological techniques inspired by the work of Stallings to prove that all limit groups share these two properties. This answers a question of Sela.
