Al doped SnO2 thin films have been synthesized by a sol-gel dip coating technique with different percentages of Al on glass and silicon substrates. X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the proper phase formation in the films and atomic percentage of aluminium doping in the films was obtained by energy dispersive X-ray studies. SEM studies showed the particle sizes lying in the range 100–150 nm for the undoped films and it decreased with increase of Al doping. Optical transmittance spectra of the films showed high transparency (∼80%) in the visible region and the transparency increases with the increase of Al doping in the films. The direct allowed bandgap of the films have been measured for different Al concentration and they lie within the range of 3.87–4.21 eV. FTIR studies depicted the presence of Sn–O, Al–O, bonding within the films. The room temperature electrical conductivities of the films are obtained in the range of 0.21 S cm−1 to 1.36 S cm−1 for variation of Al doping in the films 2.31–18.56%. Room temperature Seebeck coefficients, SRT of the films were found in the range +56.0 μVK−1 to −23.3 μVK−1 for variation of Al doping in the films 18.56–8.16%. It is observed that the Seebeck coefficient changes its sign at 12.05% of Al in the films indicating that below 12.05% of Al doping, SnO2:Al behaves as an n-type material and above this percentage it is a p-type material.  相似文献

Gold-dispersed BaTiO3, PGO and PLT thin films, which will be used for third-order nonlinear optical devices, were prepared by sol-gel process with spin-coating using HAuCl44H2O, Ba(CH3COO)2, Ti[O(CH2)3CH3]4, Pb(CH3COO)23H2O, Ge[O-n-C4H9]4, La(CH3COO)31.5 H2O as starting materials. The thin films were heat-treated in air at temperatures ranging from 400 to 800 for 1 h. The nonlinear optical property of these thin films was measured by the degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) method using a frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser with 20 ps pulse duration. Third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) of gold-dispersed BaTiO3, PGO and PLT thin films with 5 vol% of gold were 1.410−6 esu, 3.510−7 esu respectively. The large χ(3) may be ascribed to the high dielectric constant of the films.  相似文献

PolySchiff base containing triphenylamine has been synthesized by polycondensation and character-ized by FT-IR,NMR,UV-visible spectrometer. Measurements of the third-order optical nonlinear sus-ceptibility χ(3) by Z-scan technique have shown that the large nonlinearity is dominated by the two-photon absorption in PSB. The sign and size of real part Reχ(3) ,nonlinear refractive index n2 have been measured with the condition of 532 nm,8 ns-duration pulses to be -1.23×10-10 esu,-3.06×10-12 esu;nonlinear absorption index β and size of image part Imχ(3) to be 3.63×10-10 m/W,1.15×10-11 esu,respec-tively,so the third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) is 1.19×10-11 esu. The value is larger than other polymers reported. PSB is self-focusing material and has potential application in nonlinear optic field.  相似文献

Pd/Ag films were electrolessly deposited onto p-silicon (100)-activated seed layers of Ag and Pd, respectively, in the solution of 0.005 mol l−1 AgNO3 + 0.005 mol l−1 PdCl2 + 4.5 mol l−1 NH3 + 0.16 mol l−1 Na2EDTA+0.1 mol l−1 NH2NH2 (pH 10.5) at room temperature. The morphology and composition of the films were studied comparatively by using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Cathodic polarization curves for hydrogen evolution were recorded in 0.5-mol l−1 H2SO4 without illumination, in which the obtained films served as working electrodes. The experimental results show that the film obtained on the Ag seed layer was rather a pure Ag film and not a Pd/Ag film, and the Ag deposition rate on Pd sites was much faster than that on Ag sites.  相似文献

Polymerization of pyrrole and 2-aminobenzoic acid has been investigated, and a functionalized stable film of poly(pyrrole-2-aminobenzoic acid) (PP2ABA) has been obtained electrochemically onto platinum electrode. Different cyclic voltammetric behavior is obtained for polypyrrole and PP2ABA during electrosynthesis. Fourier-transformed infrared spectrometry and surface-enhanced Raman spectrometry measurements on the two films have confirmed the presence of carboxylate group in the films. The enzyme, glucose oxidase, was covalently immobilized on a conducting PP2ABA film, and amperometric response was measured as a function of concentration of glucose at a potential of 0.7 V vs Ag/AgCl in 0.1 M phosphate buffer at pH 6.2. The effect of polymeric film thickness, pH, and possible interferents were investigated. The linear range of the calibration curve is from 3 to 40 mM with a sensitivity of 0.058 μA mM−1 cm−2 and a limit of detection of 0.5 mM. The apperent Mishaelis–Menten constant K M is calculated to be 1 × 10−2 mM, and the response time is 5 s.  相似文献

Colloidal magnetite particles coated with chondroitin sulfate (abbreviated as Fe/CS) were prepared under conditions of varying Fe(II) fractions at a fixed Fe concentration and a given concentration of CS. The average size of the magnetite core region was estimated as 7 nm from transmittance electron microscopy measurements, while the size of the Fe/CS particles ranged 155–175 nm, as estimated using Rayleigh scattering measurements by reference to a control size derived from the dynamic light scattering. The reaction of various Fe/CS with NO 2 in aqueous solutions was determined by fluorometry using 2,3-diaminonaphthalene as a probe and by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The concentrations of NO 2 in the reaction mixtures decreased in the presence of Fe/CS to a greater extent under Ar compared with aerobic conditions. The reactivity of Fe/CS toward NO 2 under aerobic conditions increased with decreasing the size of Fe/CS particles or with increasing content of Fe(III) in the Fe/CS solutions, but was independent of the Fe(II) fraction in the preparation process. While CS molecules had no influence on the NO 2 decomposition, those coated with the magnetite core may prevent the diffusion of NO 2 to be adsorbed on the core surfaces. NO 2 was concluded to undergo redox reactions with Fe(II) and Fe(III) located on the core surface of magnetite crystalline structures of Fe/CS. TeOx-SiO2 composite films having third-order nonlinearities were prepared by electrochemically induced sol-gel deposition method on ITO substrate.The third-order optical nonlinearities of the films were measured by Z-scan technique.The third-order nonlinear susceptibilities(χ(3)) of the as-prepared films are 5.9×10-7 to 4.29×10-6esu.The surface morphology and composition of the films were characterized by SEM/EDX,which identified that Te metallic particles well dispersed in TeOx-SiO2 gel films.  相似文献

The standard molar enthalpy of combustion of cholesterol was measured at constant volume. According to value of Δr U mθ(−14358.4±20.65 kJ mol−1), Δr H mθ(−14385.7 kJ mol−1) of combustion reaction and Δf H mθ(2812.9 kJ mol−1) of cholesterol were obtained from the reaction equation. The enthalpy of combustion reaction of cholesterol was also estimated by the average bond enthalpies. By design of a thermo-chemical recycle, the enthalpy of combustion of cholesterol were calculated between 283.15∼373.15 K. Besides, molar enthalpy and entropy of fusion of cholesterol was obtained by DSC technique.  相似文献

Electrochromic hydrated Ni-oxide films were prepared using a dip-coating technique from a nickel sulphate heptahydrate precursor in combination with glycerol, formamide and polyvinyalcohol. In-situ monochromatic (λ=400 nm) spectroelectrochemical measurements using a potential of −0.4 V to 0.8 V in 0.1M LiOH electrolyte revealed that the electrochromic efficiency was 23.5 cm2/C. The observed colouring/bleaching transmittance of a 100 nm thick film changed during potential cycling (20 cycles) by 45%. Ex-situ FT-IR absorption/reflection measurements performed at near-grazing incidence angle conditions (80°) confirmed transformation of as-deposited α-Ni(OH)2 phase to β-Ni(OH)2 at cathodic (bleached state) and β-NiOOH at anodic (coloured state) potentials during extended cycling (200 cycles). Clear evidence of the OH ions insertion and release of SO 4 2− ions from the as-deposited films when soaked (0.5 hour) in 0.1M LiOH are given. These processes are accompanied by the transformation of the residual COO groups originating from the peptisation with glacial acetic acid into CO 3 2− species residing in the films during extensive potential cycling.  相似文献

Thin silica and silica-titania films doped with sulfide nanocrystals of controlled size were fabricated by a method based on the preparation of colloidal particles and their introduction into a glassy matrix through the sol-gel method. Colloidal sols of composition HgxCd1-xS and PbxCd1-xS (with x ranging from 0 to 1) were prepared and used to dope alkoxide solutions for the deposition of thin silica and silica-titania films. Optical absorption spectra were taken on both precursor colloidal sols and derived doped films. X-ray diffraction characterization gave structural information on the nature and size of particles in powders obtained by precipitation from colloidal sols and in doped films. The advantages and limits of the investigated systems are discussed in light of possible applications. The nonlinear properties of the most interesting PbS-doped planar waveguides have been investigated in the near-infrared, at 1.064 m. A reversible nonlinear effect was measured, with n 2 values ranging from -5 to -20×10-9 cm2/kW.  相似文献

Influence of electrode morphology on electrochemical properties of lead dioxide electrodes (β-PbO2) for oxygen-ozone evolution reactions in acid medium was investigated using scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), polarization curves (PC), and determination of the current efficiency (Φ). Experimental findings revealed that application of high electrodeposition current densities furnishes more rough β-PbO2 films. Surface characteristics were verified by SEM images and the analysis of interfacial pseudo-capacitances and morphology factor (φ). Kinetic study of the overall electrode process (O2 + O3) based on the analysis of the Tafel slope revealed that the electrode morphology and electrolyte composition considerably affect the electrode kinetics. In most cases, the existence of two Tafel slopes distributed in the low and high overpotential domains was observed. Abnormal Tafel slopes (b ≠ 120 mV) obtained for the primary water discharge step during water electrolysis were interpreted considering the apparent charge transfer coefficient (α apa). Optimum conditions for the ozone production were obtained for the less rough β-PbO2 electrode immersed in a sulfuric acid solution (1.0 mol dm−3) containing KPF6 (30 × 10−3 mol dm−3), where the current efficiency of 15 mass % for the ozone production was obtained.  相似文献

This paper describes a method for direct coating of fluorescent semiconductor nanoparticles with silica shell. The fluorescent semiconductor nanoparticles used were CdSe x Te1–x nanoparticles coated with ZnS and succeedingly surface-modified with carboxyl groups, or quantum dots (Q-dots). The Q-dots were silica-coated by performing sol–gel reaction of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) using NaOH as a catalyst in the presence of the Q-dots. Quasi-perfect Q-dots/silica core-shell particles were formed at 5.0 M H2O and 4.0 × 10−4 M NaOH. Under these concentrations of H2O and NaOH, the particle size of Q-dots/silica particles could be varied from 20.1 to 38.1 nm as the TEOS concentration increased from 2.5 × 10−4 to 50 × 10−4 M. The Q-dots/silica particles showed fluorescence as well as the uncoated Q-dots.  相似文献

Functionalized polypyrrole films were prepared by incorporation of Fe(CN)6 3− as doping anion during the electropolymerization of pyrrole at a glassy carbon electrode from aqueous solution. The electrochemical behavior of the Fe(CN)6 3−/Fe(CN)6 4− redox couple in polypyrrole was studied by cyclic voltammetry. An obvious surface redox reaction was observed and dependence of this reaction on the solution pH was illustrated. The electrocatalytic ability of polypyrrole film with ferrocyanide incorporated was demonstrated by oxidation of ascorbic acid at the optimized pH of 4 in a glycine buffer. The catalytic effect for mediated oxidation of ascorbic acid was 300 mV and the bimolecular rate constant determined for surface coverage of 4.5 × 10−8 M cm−2 using rotating disk electrode voltammetry was 86 M−1 s−1. Furthermore, the catalytic oxidation current was linearly dependent on ascorbic acid concentration in the range 5 × 10−4–1.6 × 10−2 M with a correlation coefficient of 0.996. The effect of emulsion process formulation ingredients on the morphology, structure, and properties of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) powder has been considered in this study. PVC powder was extracted with ethanol and films were obtained by solvent casting from tetrahydrofurane. Characterization of powders, films, and ethanol extract was performed through FTIR spectroscopy, DSC, AFM, SEM, EDX analysis, methylene blue, and nitrogen adsorption. PVC powder was composed of spheres of a large particle size range from 10 nm to 20 μm as shown by SEM. The specific surface area of the PVC powder was determined as 16 and 12 m2 g−1 from methylene blue adsorption at 25 °C and from N2 adsorption at −196 °C, respectively. AFM indicated the surface roughness of the films obtained by pressing the particles was 25.9 nm. Density of PVC powder was determined by helium pycnometry as 1.39 g cm−3. FTIR spectroscopy indicated that it contained carbonyl and carboxylate groups belonging to additives such as surface active agents, plasticizers, and antioxidants used in production of PVC. These additives were 1.6% in mass of PVC as determined by ethanol extraction. EDX analysis showed PVC particles surfaces were coated with carbon-rich materials. The coatings had plasticizer effect since, glass transition temperature was lower than 25 °C for PVC powder and it was 80 °C for ethanol extracted powders as found by using differential scanning calorimetry. These additives from polymerization process made PVC powder more thermally stable as understood from Metrom PVC thermomat tests as well.  相似文献

Zinc-substituted lithium tantalate thin films were fabricated for improving the electrical resistivity by compensating the valence of lattice defects in LiTaO3 crystal. The films with the chemical composition of (Li1.00-x Zn x )TaO3 were fabricated on (111)Pt/TiO2/SiO2/(100)Si substrate by a chemical solution deposition technique using metal-organic precursors. Dense films consisting of a ilumenite-type crystalline phase were deposited by spin coating on the substrates, followed by heat-treatment at 650°C for 5 min in air. The leakage current density of the LiTaO3 film was reduced from approximately 10−4 to 10−6 A/cm2 by substituting Zn2+ ions for Li+ ions in the LiTaO3 films. Polarization–electric field hysteresis loop was improved significantly by partial substitution of Zn2+ for Li+ ions, which is based on the enhancement of electrical resistivity.  相似文献

The aim of the present work is concerned with a study of the kinetics of release of both Ca2+ and F from the corresponding loaded ion-exchange resins (weak acid and weak base character for Ca2+ for F, respectively), using both dynamic and batch experimental conditions with an artificial saliva solution as the ion-exchange media at 293 and 310 K. The influence of resin particle size and the temperature were evaluated by the kinetics parameters for the effective rate of release (B) and diffusion coefficient (D). The rate of ion release increases with temperature and decreases with particle size. The experimental data were well fitted by models based on intraparticle diffusion-controlled processes. In dynamic studies, the linear dependence of −log 10(B) with the diameter of the resin particles can be applied for the estimation of B values when resins of low particle size are considered. In batch processes, although resins of low particle size can be studied, a linear relationship was only attained for the case of slow ion-exchange kinetic systems.  相似文献

Coordination polymers {[Et4N][Ag2I3]}n (1) and [CuBr(C10H8N2S2)]n (2) were prepared by standard Schlenk techniques. Their X-ray measurements indicate that polymer (1) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, and polymer (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n. Complex (1) has a hanging ladder-like polymeric chain which can also be described as a helical chain bridged by Ag–Ag edges. Complex (2) exhibits a monoclinic crystal system with a slightly distorted tetrahedron. The nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of (1) and (2) were investigated by using Z-scan techniques with an 8 ns pulsed laser at 532 nm. These two coordination polymers exhibit NLO absorption and an effective self-focusing effect. The effective α2 and n2 values of cluster (1) are 3.04×10−11 m W−1 and 7.6×10−18 m2 w−1 and the effective α2 and n2 values of compound (2) are 1.08×10−11 m W−1 and 3.1×10−18 m2 w−1 when measured in CH2Cl2 solution.  相似文献

The solubilities of NpO2(s) in the KURT (KAERI Underground Research Tunnel) granitic groundwater with low ionic strength were measured experimentally and calculated by a geochemical code. Then these results were compared with each other as well as with foreign results. The concentrations of neptunium were measured as 6·10−8−2·10−8 mol/L at a pH = 9.5–11.1 and Eh = −0.2 V, and less than 5·10−9 mol/L at a pH = 11.8–13.0 and Eh = −0.3–0.44 V. The dominant aqueous species were presumed as Np(OH)x(CO3)y 4−x−2y complexes and Np(OH)4(aq) at pH = 9.5–13 under the Eh<−0.2 V reducing condition.  相似文献

Thin solid films of mixed Fe/Ti oxide composition (Fe/Ti molar ratios: 0.5∶1, 1∶1, 1.5∶1) have been made from Fe(NO3)3 alcoholic solution to which Ti(OiPr)4 was added. Films have been deposited by the dip-coating technique and heat-treated at 300°C and 500°C. Powders of Fe/Ti oxide heat-treated at 300°C are amorphous, while powders annealed at 500°C for 40 hours transformed to mixed rutile, pseudobrookite and hematite phases. The structure of the XRD amorphous films was identified with the help of near-normal reflection absorption (6°) (IRRA) and near-grazing incidence angle (NGIA) spectroscopy. NGIA FT-IR spectra of films are characterised with a single phonon mode appearing in the spectral range 600–950 cm−1 which shifts with increasing Ti concentration from 675 cm−1 (Fe2O3) to 904 cm−1 (TiO2) thus exhibiting one-mode behavior. Electrochemical investigations made with the help of cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronocoulometry (CPC) performed in 0.01M LiOH and in 1M LiClO4/propylene carbonate electrolytes revealed that films are able to uptake reversibly Li+ ions with a charge capacity (Q) per film thickness (d) in the range 0.1–0.26 mC/cm2nm and 0.06 mC/cm2nm, respectively. The temperature at which the films were prepared alters the rate of Li+ insertion which is faster for less compact films obtained at 300°C. In situ UV-VIS spectroelectrochemical measurements revealed that Fe/Ti oxide films bleached in the UV spectral region (300 nm<λ<450 nm) and colored in the VIS spectral region (450 nm<λ<800 nm), thus exhibiting mixed anodic and cathodic electrochromism.  相似文献

The sintering behavior of gadolinia-doped ceria powders was studied by the master sintering curve (MSC). Dilatometric analyses of powders produced by a soft chemical method were performed to provide the experimental data set for the construction of the MSC. The assumed model provided good fittings of the MSC and the activation energy for the sintering of Ce1−x Gd x O3−δ, with x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 were found to be in the 218–325 KJ/mol range, depending on the dopant content. The results supported that both the nanometric size of the particles and the difference in ionic radii between Gd3+ and Ce4+ affects the sintering of Gd-doped CeO2.  相似文献
