The stability properties of one-leg θ-methods for nonlinear neutral differential equations with proportional delay is investigated. In recent years, the stability of one-leg θ-methods for this class of equations on a quasi-geometric mesh is investigated. Instead, in the present paper, the focus is on stability of one-leg θ-methods for the neutral differential equations with constant delay obtained by applying the approach of transformation to the proportional delay equations. Some sufficient conditions for global stability and asymptotic stability are established. Two numerical examples are also included.  相似文献

The numerical solutions of stochastic differential delay equations (SDDEs) under the generalized Khasminskii-type condition were discussed by Mao (Appl. Math. Comput. 217, 5512–5524 2011), and the theory there showed that the Euler–Maruyama (EM) numerical solutions converge to the true solutions in probability. However, there is so far no result on the strong convergence (namely in L p ) of the numerical solutions for the SDDEs under this generalized condition. In this paper, we will use the truncated EM method developed by Mao (J. Comput. Appl. Math. 290, 370–384 2015) to study the strong convergence of the numerical solutions for the SDDEs under the generalized Khasminskii-type condition.  相似文献

For X a separable metric space define p(X) to be the smallest cardinality of a subset Z of X which is not a relative γ-set in X, i.e., there exists an ω-cover of X with no γ-subcover of Z. We give a characterization of p(ω2) and p(ωω) in terms of definable free filters on ω which is related to the pseudo-intersection number p. We show that for every uncountable standard analytic space X that either p(X)=p(ω2) or p(X)=p(ωω). In this paper, a singularly perturbed delay differential equation of first order has been considered. The problem is solved by using a hybrid scheme on a Shishkin mesh. The difference scheme is shown to converge to the continuous solution uniformly with respect to the perturbation parameter. Truncation errors are obtained. Finally, numerical experiments are carried out on a test problem, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed technique.  相似文献

In this paper, the global asymptotic stability of impulsive stochastic Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with mixed delays is investigated by using Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. The mixed time delays comprise both the multiple time-varying and continuously distributed delays. Some new sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the global asymptotic stability of the addressed model in the stochastic sense using the powerful MATLAB LMI toolbox. The results extend and improve the earlier publications. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.  相似文献

In this paper we initiate the study of the ω-Turing reducibility between sequences of sets of natural numbers. We shall prove that the induced degree structure is an extension of the structure of the Turing degrees and that the two structures are closely connected, but different enough. We show that a C0 codimension one foliation with C1 leaves F of a closed manifold is minimal if there are a foliation G transverse to F, and a diffeomorphism f preserving both foliations, such that every leaf of F intersects every leaf of G and f expands G. This work is concerned with dynamical systems in presence of symmetries and reversing symmetries. We describe a construction process of subspaces that are invariant by linear Γ-reversible-equivariant mappings, where Γ is the compact Lie group of all the symmetries and reversing symmetries of such systems. These subspaces are the σ-isotypic components, first introduced by Lamb and Roberts in (1999) [10] and that correspond to the isotypic components for purely equivariant systems. In addition, by representation theory methods derived from the topological structure of the group Γ, two algebraic formulae are established for the computation of the σ-index of a closed subgroup of Γ. The results obtained here are to be applied to general reversible-equivariant systems, but are of particular interest for the more subtle of the two possible cases, namely the non-self-dual case. A class of hyperelliptic integrals are expressed through hypergeometric functions, like those of Gauss, Lauricella and Appell, namely multiple power series. Whenever they can on their own be reduced to elliptic integrals through an algebraic transformation, we obtain a two-fold representation of the same mathematical object, and then several completely new π determinations through the above special functions and/or Euler integrals. All our π formulae have been successfully tested by means of convenient Mathematica®'s packages and enter in a wide historical/sound context of π-formulae quite far from being exhausted. Due to their structure, the formulae's practical value does not lie in computing π, but in allowing, through π, a benchmark for computing the involved special functions, particularly those less elementary.

The present paper is concerned with the convergence problem of inexact Newton methods. Assuming that the nonlinear operator satisfies the γ-condition, a convergence criterion for inexact Newton methods is established which includes Smale's type convergence criterion. The concept of an approximate zero for inexact Newton methods is proposed in this paper and the criterion for judging an initial point being an approximate zero is established. Consequently, Smale's α-theory is generalized to inexact Newton methods. Furthermore, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the applicability of our main results.  相似文献

From the irreducible decompositions' point of view, the structure of the cyclic GLn(C)-module generated by the α-determinant degenerates when (1?k?n−1) (see [S. Matsumoto, M. Wakayama, Alpha-determinant cyclic modules of gln(C), J. Lie Theory 16 (2006) 393-405]). In this paper, we show that -determinant shares similar properties which the ordinary determinant possesses. From this fact, one can define a new (relative) invariant called a wreath determinant. Using (GLm,GLn)-duality in the sense of Howe, we obtain an expression of a wreath determinant by a certain linear combination of the corresponding ordinary minor determinants labeled by suitable rectangular shape tableaux. Also we study a wreath determinant analogue of the Vandermonde determinant, and then, investigate symmetric functions such as Schur functions in the framework of wreath determinants. Moreover, we examine coefficients which we call (n,k)-sign appeared at the linear expression of the wreath determinant in relation with a zonal spherical function of a Young subgroup of the symmetric group Snk.  相似文献

We prove that the γ-vector of the barycentric subdivision of a simplicial sphere is the f-vector of a balanced simplicial complex. The combinatorial basis for this work is the study of certain refinements of Eulerian numbers used by Brenti and Welker to describe the h-vector of the barycentric subdivision of a boolean complex.  相似文献

In this paper, the global asymptotical stability analysis problem is considered for a class of Markovian jumping stochastic Cohen–Grossberg neural networks (CGNNs) with discrete interval and distributed delays. The parameter uncertainties are assumed to be norm bounded and the discrete delay is assumed to be time-varying and belong to a given interval, which means that the lower and upper bounds of interval time-varying delays are available. An alternative delay-dependent stability analysis result is established based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, which can easily be checked by utilizing the numerically efficient Matlab LMI toolbox. Neither system transformation nor free weight matrix via Newton–Leibniz formula is required. Two numerical examples are provided to show that the proposed results significantly improve the allowable upper and lower bounds of delays over some existing results in the literature.  相似文献
