Multilinear commutators of Calderón-Zygmund operators on Hardy-type spaces with non-doubling measures

Under the assumption that μ is a non-negative Radon measure on Rd which only satisfies some growth condition, the authors obtain the boundedness in some Hardy-type spaces of multilinear commutators generated by Calderón-Zygmund operators or fractional integrals with RBMO(μ) functions, where the Hardy-type spaces are some appropriate subspaces, associated to the considered RBMO(μ) functions, of the Hardy space H¹(μ) of Tolsa.     

Decay estimates of functions through singular extensions of vector-valued Laplace transforms

Let X be a Banach space and let f∈L^∞(R⁺;X) whose Laplace transform extends analytically to some region containing iR?{0}, possibly having a pole at the origin. In this paper, we give estimates of the decay of certain slight suitable modification of f in terms of the growth of its Laplace transform along the imaginary axis. This technique is applied to obtain decay estimates of smooth orbits of bounded C₀-semigroups whose infinitesimal generators have an arbitrary finite boundary spectrum. These results are close to those given recently by C.J.K. Batty and T. Duyckaerts.     

Growth conditions, compact perturbations and operator subdecomposability, with applications to generalized Cesàro operators

We adapt recent results of Albrecht and Ricker to obtain conditions under which growth constraints on the left resolvent of a Banach space operator are preserved under suitable perturbations. As an application, we establish Bishop's property (β) for certain generalized Cesàro operators on the classical Hardy spaces Hp, 1<p<∞. Our methods also apply to unilateral weighted shifts whose weight sequence converges sufficiently rapidly as well as to perturbations of restrictions of a class of generalized scalar operators.     

Characterizations of linear Volterra integral equations with nonnegative kernels

We first introduce the notion of positive linear Volterra integral equations. Then, we offer a criterion for positive equations in terms of the resolvent. In particular, equations with nonnegative kernels are positive. Next, we obtain a variant of the Paley-Wiener theorem for equations of this class and its extension to perturbed equations. Furthermore, we get a Perron-Frobenius type theorem for linear Volterra integral equations with nonnegative kernels. Finally, we give a criterion for positivity of the initial function semigroup of linear Volterra integral equations and provide a necessary and sufficient condition for exponential stability of the semigroups.

On the solvable operators generated by uniformly correct problems

A first order differential-operator equation with an operator-coefficient generating a C₀ class semi-group is studied. Boundary conditions for which this equation possesses a unique solution dependent continuously on its right-hand side are derived. Two theorems are formulated and proved.     

Spectral properties and their applications of frequency response operators in linear continuous-time periodic systems

Spectral properties related to the frequency response operators of finite-dimensional linear continuous-time periodic (FDLCP) systems are examined rigorously and thoroughly in the paper. As applications of the spectral features, positive realness of FDLCP systems is scrutinized and then a harmonic Hamiltonian criterion is derived for the H_∞ norm of FDLCP systems. In particular, positive realness of FDLCP systems is interpreted in term of Toeplitz operators for the first time in this study, together with a testing algorithm. Deriving the harmonic Hamiltonian criterion with a frequency-domain approach bridges the spectra of the frequency response operators in FDLCP systems with their time-domain behaviors.     

Limit-point criteria for semi-degenerate singular Hamiltonian differential systems with perturbation terms

Some limit-point criteria are obtained for higher-dimensional semi-degenerate singular Hamiltonian differential systems with perturbation potential terms by using M(λ)-theory. Results in this paper cover many previous results of Hartman, Levinson, Titchmarsh and Read.     

Some estimates for Bochner-Riesz operators on the weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces

In this paper, by using the atomic decomposition and molecular characterization of the homogeneous and non-homogeneous weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces , we obtain some weighted boundedness properties of the Bochner-Riesz operator and the maximal Bochner-Riesz operator on these spaces for α=n(1/p−1/q), 0<p?1 and 1<q<∞.     

Norm inequalities for sums of two basic elementary operators

We use certain norm inequalities for 2×2 operator matrices to establish norm inequalities for sums of two basic elementary operators on a Hilbert space. Further, we give necessary and sufficient conditions under which the norm of the above sum of elementary operators attains its optimal value. Applications of the inequalities obtained are also considered.     

Linear operators with compact supports, probability measures and Milyutin maps

The notion of a regular operator with compact supports between function spaces is introduced. On that base we obtain a characterization of absolute extensors for 0-dimensional spaces in terms of regular extension operators having compact supports. Milyutin maps are also considered and it is established that some topological properties, like paracompactness, metrizability and κ-metrizability, are preserved under Milyutin maps.     

Positivity and stability of the essential spectrum for singular transport semigroups with non-vacuum boundary conditions

In this paper we prove some compactness results for a large class of singular transport equations. Our approach relies on some comparison results for positive operators. Our results extend and complete several earlier works. We also provide simpler proofs for several known results in the literature.     

Boundary value problem for abstract first order differential equation with integral condition

The present paper is devoted to the study of a boundary value problem for abstract first order linear differential equation with integral boundary conditions. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the unique solvability and well-posedness. We also study the Fredholm solvability. Finally, we obtain a result of the stability of solution with respect to small perturbation.     

Estimates of the dilatation function of Beurling-Ahlfors extension

In this paper we estimate the dilatation function of the Beurling-Ahlfors extension in the most general case. By introducing ?h,m-function, we obtain an inequality which is sharp up to a constant.
