In this paper we study the structure of approximate solutions of autonomous variational problems with convex integrands. We are interested in a turnpike property of the extremals which is independent of the length of the interval, for all sufficiently large intervals. To have this property means, roughly speaking, that the approximate solutions of the variational problems are determined mainly by the integrand, and are essentially independent of the choice of interval and endpoint conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concept of approximate solutions for set-valued optimization problems. A sufficient condition for the existence of approximate solutions is obtained. A general Ekeland's variational principle for set-valued mappings in complete ordered metric spaces and complete metric spaces are derived. In this paper, we introduce a new concept of ϵ-efficiency for vector optimization problems. This extends and unifies various notions of approximate solutions in the literature. Some properties for this new class of approximate solutions are established, and several existence results, as well as nonlinear scalarizations, are obtained by means of the Ekeland’s variational principle. Moreover, under the assumption of generalized subconvex functions, we derive the linear scalarization and the Lagrange multiplier rule for approximate solutions based on the scalarization in Asplund spaces.  相似文献

We apply a variational approach to the one-dimensional version of the widely used Perona-Malik equation in image processing. We rephrase the problem into the one related to the quasiconvex hull of a graph in the space of 2×2 matrices M2×2. We then use the solutions of some heat equations as the centre of the mass for the Young measure-valued solutions to construct the approximate solutions by using simple laminates. The approximate solutions can be viewed as solutions of a perturbation problem by W−1,p (or W−1,∞) functions. The sequences of the approximate solutions generates Young measure-valued solutions. Our results also show that the solutions of the one-dimensional Perona-Malik equation are unstable under small W−1,∞ perturbations.  相似文献

We establish verifiable sufficient conditions for Hölder continuity of approximate solutions to parametric equilibrium problems, when solutions may be not unique. Many examples are provided to illustrate the need of considering approximate solutions instead of exact solutions and the essentialness of the imposed assumptions. As applications, we derive this Hölder continuity for constrained minimization, variational inequalities and fixed point problems.  相似文献

Dual control and observation problems for the wave equation with variable coefficients subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions are solved by a variational method. This method was earlier proposed by the author for an approximate analysis of linear equations with nonuniform perturbations of the operator. Explicit bounds on the constant that are required to implement the method are obtained using the correct solvability property of the dual observation problem. Finite-dimensional approximations of the control and observation problems are obtained by the difference method preserving the duality relation. The convergence of approximate solutions is established in the norms of the corresponding dual spaces.  相似文献

引入了实Hilbert空间中一类新的一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.它概括了丁协平教授引入与研究过的熟知的广义混合隐拟变分不等式类成特例.运用辅助变分原理技巧来解这类一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.首先,定义了具真凸下半连续的二元泛函的新的辅助变分不等式,并选取了一适当的泛函,使得其唯一的最小值点等价于此辅助变分不等式的解.其次,利用此辅助变分不等式,构造了用于计算一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式逼近解的新的迭代算法.在此,等价性保证了算法能够生成一列逼近解.最后,证明了一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式解的存在性与逼近解的收敛性.而且,给算法提供了新的收敛判据.因此,结果对M.A.Noor提出的公开问题给出了一个肯定答案,并推广和改进了关于各种变分不等式与补问题的早期与最近的结果,包括最近文献中涉及单值与集值映象的有关混合变分不等式、混合拟变不等式与拟补问题的相应结果.  相似文献

In this article, various types of approximate solutions for vector quasi-variational problems in Banach spaces are introduced. Motivated by [M.B. Lignola, J. Morgan, On convergence results for weak efficiency in vector optimization problems with equilibrium constraints, J. Optim. Theor. Appl. 133 (2007), pp. 117–121] and in line with the results obtained in optimization, game theory and scalar variational inequalities, our aim is to investigate lower convergence properties (in the sense of Painlevé–Kuratowski) for such approximate solution sets in the presence of perturbations on the data. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the lower convergence of ‘strict approximate’ solution sets but counterexamples show that, in general, the other types of solutions do not lower converge. Moreover, we prove that any exact solution to the limit problem can be obtained as the limit of a sequence of approximate solutions to the perturbed problems.  相似文献

We propose a direct treatment for the numerical simulation of optimal solutions for vector, one-dimensional variational problems under pointwise constraints in the form of several inequalities. It is an iterative procedure to approximate the optimal solutions of such variational problems that rely on our ability to e?ciently approximate the optimal solutions of variational problems without restrictions, except possibly for end point constraints. One main advantage is that there is no need to control the free boundary, or the contact set, during the iterative process where constraints are active. In addition to proving some convergence results, the scheme is illustrated through several typical situations.  相似文献

Some new classes of extended general nonconvex set-valued variational inequalities and the extended general Wiener-Hopf inclusions are introduced. By the projection technique, equivalence between the extended general nonconvex set-valued variational inequalities and the fixed point problems as well as the extended general nonconvex Wiener-Hopf inclusions is proved. Then by using this equivalent formulation, we discuss the existence of solutions of the extended general nonconvex set-valued variational inequalities and construct some new perturbed finite step projection iterative algorithms with mixed errors for approximating the solutions of the extended general nonconvex set-valued variational inequalities. We also verify that the approximate solutions obtained by our algorithms converge to the solutions of the extended general nonconvex set-valued variational inequalities. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some known results from the literature.  相似文献

A modified variational approach and the coupled homotopy perturbation method with variational formulation are exerted to obtain periodic solutions of a conservative nonlinear singular oscillator in plasma physics. The frequency–amplitude relations for the oscillator which the restoring force is inversely proportional to the dependent variable are achieved analytically. The approximate frequency obtained using the coupled method is more accurate than the modified variational approach and ones obtained using other approximate methods and the discrepancy between the approximate frequency using this coupled method and the exact one is lower than 0.31% for the whole range of values of oscillation amplitude. The coupled method provides a very good accuracy and is a promising technique to a lot of practical engineering and physical problems.  相似文献

In this paper new methods for solving elliptic variational inequalities with weakly coercive operators are considered. The use of the iterative prox-regularization coupled with a successive discretization of the variational inequality by means of a finite element method ensures well-posedness of the auxiliary problems and strong convergence of their approximate solutions to a solution of the original problem.In particular, regularization on the kernel of the differential operator and regularization with respect to a weak norm of the space are studied. These approaches are illustrated by two nonlinear problems in elasticity theory.  相似文献

By means of time discretization, we approximate evolution variational inequalities by the corresponding elliptic variational inequalities. Using ROTHE'S method (method of lines), an approximate solution is constructed by means of direct variational methods. In this paper, we investigate or analyze non-convex variational inequalities and general non-convex variational inequalities. Two new classes of non-convex variational inequalities, named regularized non-convex variational inequalities and general regularized non-convex variational inequalities, are introduced, and the equivalence between these two classes of non-convex variational inequalities and the fixed point problems are established. A projection iterative method to approximate the solutions of general regularized non-convex variational inequalities is suggested. Meanwhile, the existence and uniqueness of solution for general regularized non-convex variational inequalities is proved, and the convergence analysis of the proposed iterative algorithm under certain conditions is studied.  相似文献

We consider variational iteration method to investigate generalized Burger–Fisher and Burger equations. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. Comparison with Adomian decomposition method reveals that the approximate solutions obtained by the proposed method converge to its exact solution faster than those of Adomian’s method. Its remarkable accuracy is finally demonstrated in the study of some values of constants in generalized Burger–Fisher and Burger equations.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new system of generalized resolvent equations with corresponding system of variational inclusions in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. We establish an equivalence relation between system of generalized resolvent equations and system of variational inclusions. The iterative algorithms for finding the approximate solutions of system of generalized resolvent equations are proposed. We consider the problem of free oscillations of an ideal incompressible liquid in cavities of complex geometric form. The domain filled with liquid is divided into subdomains of simpler geometric form. The original problem is reduced to the spectral problem for a part of the domain filled with liquid. To this end, we use solutions of auxiliary boundary-value problems in subdomains. We construct approximate solutions of the problem obtained using the variational method. We also consider the problem of the rational choice of a system of coordinate functions. In this paper, we are concerned with the numerical approximation of the solutions to a stationary Navier-Stokes-like system of equations introduced in [1]. Unlike previous studies, the discrete trilinear form appearing in the variational formulation does not verify the usual cancellation property bh (uh, vh, vh) = 0. This work deals with strict solutions of set-valued optimization problems under the set optimality criterion. In this context, we introduce a new approximate solution concept and we obtain several properties of these solutions when the error is fixed and also for their limit behavior when the error tends to zero.
