Working with a rather general notion of independence, we provide a transference method which allows to compare the p-norm of sums of independent copies with the p-norm of sums of free copies. Our main technique is to construct explicit operator space Lp embeddings preserving independence to reduce the problem to L1, where some recent results by the first-named author can be used. We find applications on noncommutative Khintchine/Rosenthal type inequalities and on noncommutative Lp embedding theory.  相似文献

Let M be a von Neumann algebra equipped with a normal semifinite faithful trace τ. Let T be a positive linear contraction on M such that τT?τ and such that the numerical range of T as an operator on L2(M) is contained in a Stoltz region with vertex 1. We show that Junge and Xu's noncommutative Stein maximal ergodic inequality holds for the powers of T on Lp(M), 1<p?∞. We apply this result to obtain the noncommutative analogue of a recent result of Cohen concerning the iterates of the product of a finite number of conditional expectations.  相似文献

We present an iteration method for the polynomial approximation of rational Bézier curves. Starting with an initial Bézier curve, we adjust its control points gradually by the scheme of weighted progressive iteration approximations. The Lp-error calculated by the trapezoidal rule using sampled points is used to guide the iteration approximation. We reduce the Lp-error by a predefined factor at every iteration so as to obtain the best approximation with a minimum error. Numerical examples demonstrate the fast convergence of our method and indicate that results obtained using the L1-error criterion are better than those obtained using the L2-error and L-error criteria.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the atomic decomposition and molecular characterization of the homogeneous and non-homogeneous weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces , we obtain some weighted boundedness properties of the Bochner-Riesz operator and the maximal Bochner-Riesz operator on these spaces for α=n(1/p−1/q), 0<p?1 and 1<q<∞.  相似文献

The L(d1,d2;p,q)-labeling number ofG, denoted by , is the smallest number k such that G has a k-L(d1,d2;p,q)-labeling. In this paper, we give upper bounds and lower bounds of the L(d1,d2;p,q)-labeling number for general graphs and some special graphs. We also discuss the L(d1,d2;p,q)-labeling number of G, when G is a path, a power of a path, or Cartesian product of two paths.  相似文献

The main objective of this paper is to prove the essential self-adjointness of Dirichlet operators in L2(μ) where μ is a Gibbs measure on an infinite volume path space C(R,Rd). This operator can be regarded as a perturbation of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator by a nonlinearity and corresponds to a parabolic stochastic partial differential equation (= SPDE, in abbreviation) on R. In view of quantum field theory, the solution of this SPDE is called a P1(?)-time evolution.  相似文献

This paper introduces an iteration scheme for viscosity approximation of a zero of accretive operator in a reflexive Banach space with weakly continuous duality mapping. A new iterative sequence is introduced and strong convergence of the algorithm {xn} is proved. The results improve and extend the results of Su [Xiaolong Qin, Yongfu Su, Approximation of a zero point of accretive operator in Banach spaces, J. Math. Anal. For an integer n and a prime p, let . In this paper, we present a construction for vertex-transitive self-complementary k-uniform hypergraphs of order n for each integer n such that for every prime p, where ?=max{k(2),(k−1)(2)}, and consequently we prove that the necessary conditions on the order of vertex-transitive self-complementary uniform hypergraphs of rank k=2? or k=2?+1 due to Potoňick and Šajna are sufficient. In addition, we use Burnside’s characterization of transitive groups of prime degree to characterize the structure of vertex-transitive self-complementary k-hypergraphs which have prime order p in the case where k=2? or k=2?+1 and , and we present an algorithm to generate all of these structures. We obtain a bound on the number of distinct vertex-transitive self-complementary graphs of prime order , up to isomorphism.  相似文献

A motivation for this paper comes from the role of Choquet capacities in the study of semilinear elliptic partial differential equations. In particular, the recent progress in the classification of all positive solutions of Lu=uα in a bounded smooth domain ERd was achieved by using, as a tool, capacities on a smooth manifold ∂E. Either the Poisson capacities (associated with the Poisson kernel in E) or the Bessel capacities (related to the Bessel kernel) have been used. In this and many other applications there is no advantage in choosing any special member in a class of equivalent capacities. (Two capacities are called equivalent if their ratio is bounded away from 0 and ∞.) In the literature Bessel capacities are considered mostly in the space Rd. We introduce two versions of Bessel capacities on a compact N-dimensional manifold. A class Cap?,p of equivalent capacities is defined, for ?p?N, on every compact Lipschitz manifold. Another class CB?,p is defined (for all ?>0, p>1) in terms of a diffusion process on a C2-manifold. These classes coincide when both are defined. If the manifold is the boundary of a bounded C2-domain ERd, then both versions of the Bessel capacities are equivalent to the Poisson capacities.  相似文献

The notions of the J-strictly convex with respect to Z and of the Kadec with respect to Z are introduced and used in the present paper. It is proved that if X is a Kadec Banach space with respect to Z and Z is a closed relatively boundedly weakly compact subset, then the set of all xX for which every minimizing sequence of the problem minJ(x,Z) has a converging subsequence is a dense Gδ-subset of X?Z0, where Z0 is the set of all points zZ such that z is a solution of the problem minJ(z,Z). We study the numerical index of absolute sums of Banach spaces, giving general conditions which imply that the numerical index of the sum is less or equal than the infimum of the numerical indices of the summands and we provide some examples where the equality holds covering the already known case of c0-, ?1- and ?-sums and giving as a new result the case of E-sums where E has the RNP and n(E)=1 (in particular for finite-dimensional E with n(E)=1). We also show that the numerical index of a Banach space Z which contains a dense union of increasing one-complemented subspaces is greater or equal than the limit superior of the numerical indices of those subspaces. Using these results, we give a detailed short proof of the already known fact that, for a fixed p, the numerical indices of all infinite-dimensional Lp(μ)-spaces coincide.  相似文献

We study the long time behavior of solutions for damped wave equations with absorption. These equations are generally accepted as models of wave propagation in heterogeneous media with space-time dependent friction a(t,x)ut and nonlinear absorption |u|p−1u (Ikawa (2000) [17]). We consider 1<p<(n+2)/(n−2) and separable a(t,x)=λ(x)η(t) with λ(x)∼(1+|x|)α and η(t)∼(1+t)β satisfying conditions (A1) or (A2) which are given. The main results are precise decay estimates for the energy, L2 and Lp+1 norms of solutions. We also observe the following behavior: if α∈[0,1), β∈(−1,1) and 0<α+β<1, there are three different regions for the decay of solutions depending on p; if α∈(−,0) and β∈(−1,1), there are only two different regions for the decay of the solutions depending on p.  相似文献

A p-adic Schrödinger-type operator Dα+VY is studied. Dα (α>0) is the operator of fractional differentiation and (bijC) is a singular potential containing the Dirac delta functions δx concentrated on a set of points Y={x1,…,xn} of the field of p-adic numbers Qp. It is shown that such a problem is well posed for α>1/2 and the singular perturbation VY is form-bounded for α>1. In the latter case, the spectral analysis of η-self-adjoint operator realizations of Dα+VY in L2(Qp) is carried out.  相似文献

In this paper we show that a sufficient and necessary condition for a real-valued finitely additive measure μ on (Ω,A) to be countably additive is that the corresponding functional ?μ defined by (for x?(A)) is w*-sequentially continuous. With help of the Yosida-Hewitt decomposition theorem of finitely additive measures, we show consequently that every continuous functional on ?(A) can be uniquely decomposed into the ?1-sum of a w*-continuous functional, a purely w*-sequentially continuous functional and a purely (strongly) continuous functional.
