用计算机模拟的方法研究了开口角度对二维颗粒流稀疏流—密集流转变的影响.在固定入口流量和固定颗粒数两种条件下,均发现当开口角度大于零时,开口角度的增大可以提高颗粒流由稀疏流向密集流转变的最大出口流量.在稀疏流状态下,出口流量与开口角度无关;而在密集流状态下,出口流量随开口角度的增大而增大.进一步的计算还发现增加开口角度可以提高颗粒流出开口的流动速度,且最大出口流量与颗粒的流动速度呈线性关系. 关键词: 颗粒物质 颗粒流 分子动力学模拟  相似文献

用实验和计算模拟的方法研究了颗粒流中的颗粒速度与颗粒流特性的关系.实验研究发现当入口流量固定时,在出口上方高速运动的颗粒会使颗粒流由稀疏流向密集流转变的临界出口尺寸变小.当颗粒流转变为密集流后,颗粒速度的作用被出口上方的颗粒堆积区所消耗,最终变得与颗粒速度无关.二维分子动力学模拟计算得到了与实验相同的结论.通过二维分子动力学模拟计算,还给出了不同颗粒速度下体系的密度和速率在空间的分布图.这些分布图显示随着颗粒到达出口上方的瞬间速度的不同,颗粒堆积区的密度和高度均会改变,并最终导致颗粒流流动状态的改变. 关键词: 颗粒流 颗粒气体 分子动力学模拟  相似文献

通过实验研究斜面上二维颗粒流,当出口尺寸减小到临界值Dc时,发生稀疏流到密集流的突变.发现临界尺寸Dc与初始流量和通道宽度有关,通道宽度一定的情况下,临界开口尺寸Dc近似随初始流量Q0的平方根增大.在初始流量Q0一定时,临界开口尺寸Dc随通道宽度W近似线性增大.给出了这些关系的表达式,理论计算与实验观测结果一致.同时,也讨论了通道宽度影响临界开口尺寸的原因. 关键词: 颗粒物质 颗粒流  相似文献

This paper studies the granular flow down a chute with two successive turnings, which play the role of bottlenecks for the granular flow system and determine the granular flow state in main section between them. With the increase of main section width D, phase transition from dilute to dense granular flow is observed: When the main section width D is small (large), the granular flow at upper (lower) bottleneck is dense and the granular flow is dilute (dense) in the main section. More interestingly, a bistable region is exhibited, in which either dilute flow or dense flow may occur and continue for the entire run. In this region, the packing in the reservoir will affect initial flow rate and then affect the flow pattern. This study can be viewed as a paradigm for the jamming and unjamming transitions under shear due to gravity.  相似文献

We investigate the granular flow states in a channel with bottleneck by molecular dynamics simulations.Our study is restricted only on a selected key area rather than on the whole system to focus on the flow properties of a single granular state.A random force field is introduced to control the granular temperature.It is also pointed out that the flow rate in the granular flow can be correlated with the pressure,which leads us to carry out a comprehensive study similar to the classical study for general liquid-gas phase transition.Our results show that the dilute flow state and the dense flow state of the granules are similar to the gas state and the liquid state of general substances,respectively,and the properties of phase transition and critical phenomenon are also similar to those occurring in general substances.  相似文献

为了研究气固两相流动大涡模拟中合适的曳力计算模型,本文引入拟颗粒和拟颗粒表面能的概念,通过拟颗粒表面能与外界输入能量之间的平衡关系来确定拟颗粒的粒径。根据拟颗粒粒径,得到运算量较小且考虑颗粒团聚效应的曳力计算模型。应用本文的曳力计算模型对二维竖直槽道内稠密气固两相流动进行了大涡模拟,结果表明颗粒的浓度分布具有上稀下浓,壁面附近浓中心稀及颗粒聚集等特点。这与实验结果在定性上是一致的。对气相和颗粒相的瞬时速度场进行了分析,发现气相和颗粒相速度场分布的非对称性是形成颗粒浓度分布壁面附近浓中心稀的重要原因之一。  相似文献

The dilute-to-dense transition of granular flow of particle size d(0) is studied experimentally in a two-dimensional channel (width D) with confined exit (width d). Our results show that with fixed d and D there is a maximum inflow rate Q(c) above which the flow changes from dilute to dense and the outflow rate drops abruptly from Q(c) to a dense rate Q(d). A rescaled critical rate q(c) is found to be a function of a scaling variable lambda only: q(c) approximately F(lambda), where lambda identical with d/d(0) d/D-d. This form of lambda suggests that the dilute-to-dense transition is a global property of the flow, unlike the jamming transition which depends only on d/d(0). Furthermore, the transition is found to occur when the area fraction of particles near the exit exceeds a critical value which is close to 0.65+/-0.03.  相似文献

We use an off-lattice microscopic model for solutions of equilibrium polymers (EP) in a lamellar shear flow generated by means of a self-consistent external field between parallel hard walls. The individual conformations of the chains are found to elongate in flow direction and shrink perpendicular to it while the average polymer length decreases with increasing shear rate. The Molecular Weight Distribution of the chain lengths retains largely its exponential form in dense solutions whereas in dilute solutions it changes from a power-exponential Schwartz distribution to a purely exponential one upon an increase of the shear rate. With growing shear rate the system becomes increasingly inhomogeneous so that a characteristic variation of the total monomer density, the diffusion coefficient, and the center-of-mass distribution of polymer chains of different contour length with the velocity of flow is observed. At higher temperature, as the average chain length decreases significantly, the system is shown to undergo an order-disorder transition into a state of nematic liquid crystalline order with an easy direction parallel to the hard walls. We present a unifying picture of the compact, dense, and dilute phases of two-dimensional polymers. The lattice dependence of the scaling exponents for compact polymers is reconciled with their universality in the dense and dilute cases. In particular, we show that violations of the fully packing constraint in the compact phase can be interpreted as magnetic screening in the associated Coulomb gas, which induces a flow to either the dense or the dilute phase. When more than one flavor of polymers is present the flow away from the compact phase leads to a decoupling of the flavors, and the central charge decreases by an integer. If charge asymmetry develops, the polymer flavors may independently flow to either of the two noncompact phases.  相似文献

The system of mixture of single lane and double lane is studied by a cellular automata model, which is developed by us based on the Nagel and Schreckenberg's models. We justify that the model can reach a stable states quickly. The density distributions of the stable state is presented for several cases, which illustrate the manner of the congestion. The relationship between the outflow rate and the total number of vehicles and that between the outflow rate and the density just before the bottleneck are both given. Comparing with the relationship that occurring in the granular flow, we conclude that the transition from the free traffic flow to the congested traffic flow can also be attributed to the abrupt variation through unstable flow state, which can naturally explain the discontinuities and the complex time variation behavior observed in the traffic flow experiments.  相似文献

Two-dimensional granular flow in a channel with small exit is studied by molecular dyhamics simulations. We firstly define a key area near the exit, which is considered to be the choke area of the system. Then we observe the time variation of the local packing fraction and flow rate in this area for several fixed inflow rate, and find that these quantities change abruptly when the transition from dilute flow state to dense flow state happens. A relationship between the local flow rate and the local packing fraction in the key area is also given. The relationship is a continuous function under the fixed particle number condition, and has the characteristic that the flow rate has a maximum at a moderate packing fraction and the packing fraction is terminated at a high value with negative slope. By use of the relationship, the properties of the flow states under the fixed inflow rate condition are discussed in detail, and the discontinuities and the complex time variation behavior observed'in the preexisting works are naturally explained by a stochastic process.  相似文献

We show that shear-induced solidification of dilute charge-stabilized colloids is due to the interplay between shear-induced formation and breakage of large non-Brownian clusters. While their size is limited by breakage, their number density increases with shearing time. Upon flow cessation, the dense packing of clusters interconnects into a rigid state by means of grainy bonds, each involving a large number of primary colloidal bonds. The emerging picture of shear-driven solidification in dilute colloidal suspensions combines the gelation of Brownian systems with the jamming of athermal systems.  相似文献

A theory of settling of a dilute suspension of identical spherical particles in a viscous incompressible fluid is developed on the basis of the equations of transient Stokesian dynamics. The equations describe hydrodynamic interactions between particles moving under the influence of a constant force, starting to act at a particular instant of time. For a dilute suspension, a monopole approximation can be used. It is argued that the growth of velocity fluctuations is bounded by a combination of two effects, destructive interference of the flow patterns of individual particles, and a rearrangement of particle positions leading to a time-dependent microstructure of the suspension. After a long time, the microstructure tends to a steady state. The corresponding structure factor is described phenomenologically. The corresponding pair correlation function and the velocity correlation functions describing axisymmetric turbulence on the length scale of the mean distance between particles are evaluated.  相似文献

This paper presents numerical findings on rapid 2D and 3D granular flows on a bumpy base. In the supported regime studied here, a strongly sheared, dilute and agitated layer spontaneously appears at the base of the flow and supports a compact packing of grains moving as a whole. In this regime, the flow behaves like a sliding block on the bumpy base. In particular, for flows on a horizontal base, the average velocity decreases linearly in time and the average kinetic energy decreases linearly with the travelled distance, those features being characteristic of solid-like friction. This allows us to define and measure an effective friction coefficient, which is independent of the mass and velocity of the flow. This coefficient only loosely depends on the value of the micromechanical friction coefficient whereas the infuence of the bumpiness of the base is strong. We give evidence that this dilute and agitated layer does not result in significantly less friction. Finally, we show that a steady regime of supported flows can exist on inclines whose angle is carefully chosen.  相似文献

We show experimentally that in a free-surface granular flow the fluctuating velocity brings about momentum transfer at a considerable rate only very close to the free surface. Away from the free surface, where the flow is dense and stratified (or laminar), the fluctuating velocity plays no prominent dynamic role and stems passively from a kinematic constraint: The strata of particles must shake laterally as they slip past one another in the direction of the mean flow. Based on this insight, we formulate a simple model for the fluctuating velocity of dense granular flows. The predictions of the model agree well with our experimental measurements.  相似文献

在前文建立的分相共存快速床动力学模型的基础上,对分相模型中存在颗粒团聚物时的上升稀相进行了受力分析。以有限直径提升管中颗粒终端速度的修正,导出了上升稀相受力关于等效管径与浓稀相滑移速度的修正表达式。将本模型预报的上部稀相固含率与已有的实验数据经验关联式进行了对比,并根据所得结果初步优化了模型参数(k=8,n=6)。进而,根据所得模型参数计算了下部浓相固含率随曳力函数f(ε)的变化规律;与李佑楚经验关联式相比,同样具有合理的一致性。本文工作进一步验证了快速床动力学统一模型的整体合理性。  相似文献

The formation of density waves and the effect of wall roughness on them are studied using molecular dynamics simulations of gravity-driven granular Poiseuille flow. Three basic types of structures are found in moderately dense flows: a plug, a sinuous wave and a slug; a new varicose wave mode has been identified in dense flows with channels of large widths at moderate dissipations; only clump-like structures appear in dilute flows. The simulation results are contrasted with the predictions of a linear stability analysis of the kinetic-theory continuum equations for granular Poiseuille flow. The theoretical predictions on the form of density waves are in qualitative agreement with simulations in denser flows, however, there are discrepancies between simulation and theory in dilute flows.  相似文献
