We study the windowed Fourier transform in the framework of Clifford analysis, which we call the Clifford windowed Fourier transform (CWFT). Based on the spectral representation of the Clifford Fourier transform (CFT), we derive several important properties such as shift, modulation, reconstruction formula, orthogonality relation, isometry, and reproducing kernel. We also present an example to show the differences between the classical windowed Fourier transform (WFT) and the CWFT. Finally, as an application we establish a Heisenberg type uncertainty principle for the CWFT.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the inversion formula for recovering a function from its windowed Fourier transform. We give a rigorous proof for an inversion formula which is known in engineering. We show that the integral involved in the formula is convergent almost everywhere on $\mathbb {R}$ as well as in Lp for all 1 < p < ∞ if the function to be reconstructed is.  相似文献

A space Df is constructed and some characterizations of space Df are given. It is shown that the classical Fourier transform is extended to the distribution space Df, which can be embedded into the Schwartz distribution space D' continuously. It is also shown that D'f is the biggest embedded subspace of D on which the extended Fourier transform, f, is a homeomorphism of D'f onto itself.  相似文献

In this paper, we define the quadratic-phase Fourier wavelet transform (QPFWT) and discuss its basic properties including convolution for QPFWT. Further, inversion formula and the Parseval relation of QPFWT are also discussed. Continuity of QPFWT on some function spaces are studied. We use some estimating of orthogonal projection in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space, to prove a sharp quantitaive form of Shapiro's mean dispersion theroem with generalized dispersion for the short time Fourier transform. Summary The visual pathway and other brain structures consist of a large number of layers of neurons. At each point of a three-dimensional laminated structure there exists a direction that is perpendicular to the layers. Assuming an information flow from top to bottom, the perceptive field of the neurons grows as one moves in the direction . This enables the system to perform a multiscale analysis.Suppose that the density of the connections between adjacent layers is distributed by a Gaussian function and the autocorrelationQ of the input is of the formQ(x,x) =Qx-x¦) (i.e., shift invariant). Then it is shown that the laminated system does indeed converge to some universal attractor. Under certain conditions, the universal attractor takes the form of the Gabor filter (windowed Fourier transform). This enables the net to combine multiscale resolution with spectral analysis over a small portion of the global receptive field. Under more general conditions the transition from layeri to layeri + 1 is given by a set-valued dynamical system, and partial results on its global behavior are given.Supported by the GFAT Academic Lectureship-France.  相似文献

Associated with the Dirac operator and partial derivatives, this paper establishes some real Paley-Wiener type theorems to characterize the Clifford-valued functions whose Clifford Fourier transform (CFT) has compact support. Based on the Riemann-Lebesgue theorem for the CFT, the Boas theorem is provided to describe the CFT of Clifford-valued functions that vanish on a neighborhood of the origin.  相似文献

The images of Hermite and Laguerre-Sobolev spaces under the Hermite and special Hermite semigroups (respectively) are characterized. These are used to characterize the image of Schwartz class of rapidly decreasing functions f on Rn and Cn under these semigroups. The image of the space of tempered distributions is also considered and a Paley-Wiener theorem for the windowed (short-time) Fourier transform is proved.  相似文献

Let M be aσ-finite von Neumann algebra and let AM be a maximal subdiagonal algebra with respect to a faithful normal conditional expectationΦ.Based on the Haagerup’s noncommutative Lpspace Lp(M)associated with M,we consider Toeplitz operators and the Hilbert transform associated with A.We prove that the commutant of left analytic Toeplitz algebra on noncommutative Hardy space H2(M)is just the right analytic Toeplitz algebra.Furthermore,the Hilbert transform on noncommutative Lp(M)is shown to be bounded for 1p∞.As an application,we consider a noncommutative analog of the space BMO and identify the dual space of noncommutative H1(M)as a concrete space of operators.  相似文献

In this paper extensions of the classical Fourier, fractional Fourier and Radon transforms to superspace are studied. Previously, a Fourier transform in superspace was already studied, but with a different kernel. In this work, the fermionic part of the Fourier kernel has a natural symplectic structure, derived using a Clifford analysis approach. Several basic properties of these three transforms are studied. Using suitable generalizations of the Hermite polynomials to superspace (see [H. De Bie, F. Sommen, Hermite and Gegenbauer polynomials in superspace using Clifford analysis, J. Phys. A 40 (2007) 10441-10456]) an eigenfunction basis for the Fourier transform is constructed.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic properties of Gabor frame operators defined by the Riemannian sums of inverse windowed Fourier transforms. When the analysis and the synthesis window functions are the same, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the Riemannian sums to be convergent as the sampling density tends to infinity. Moreover, we show that Gabor frame operators converge to the identity operator in operator norm whenever they are generated with locally Riemann integrable window functions in the Wiener space.  相似文献

We study families of time-frequency localization operators and derive a new characterization of modulation spaces. This characterization relates the size of the localization operators to the global time-frequency distribution. As a by-product, we obtain a new proof for the existence of multi-window Gabor frames and extend the structure theory of Gabor frames.  相似文献
