Lead-free Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) and (1 ? x)Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 + xBaTiO3 with x = 0.1 and 0.2 (where x = 0.1 and 0.2 are named as NBT1 and NBT2, respectively), (1 ? y)Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 + yBa0.925Nd0.05TiO3 with y = 0.1 and 0.2 (where y = 0.1 and 0.2 are named as NBT3 and NBT4, respectively)-based relaxor ferroelectric ceramics were prepared using the sol-gel method. The crystal structure was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) at room temperature (RT). The XRD patterns confirmed the presence of the rhombohedral phase in all the samples. The electrical properties of the present NBT-based samples were investigated by complex impedance and the modulus spectroscopy technique in the temperature range of RT–600 °C. The AC conductivity was found to increase with the substitution of Ba2+ ions to the NBT sample whereas it significantly decreased with the addition of Nd3+ ions. The more anion vacancies in Ba-added samples and the lower anion vacancies in Nd-added samples were found to be responsible for higher and lower conductivities, respectively.  相似文献

Superconductivity was achieved in Ti-doped iron-arsenide compound Sr4Cr0.8Ti1.2O6Fe2As2 (abbreviated as Cr-FeAs-42622). The X-ray diffraction measurement shows that this material has a layered structure with the space group of P4/nmm, and with the lattice constants a = b = 3.9003 Å and c = 15.8376 Å. Clear diamagnetic signals in ac susceptibility data and zero-resistance in resistivity data were detected at about 6 K, confirming the occurrence of bulk superconductivity. Meanwhile we observed a superconducting transition in the resistive data with the onset transition temperature at 29.2 K, which may be induced by the nonuniform distribution of the Cr/Ti content in the FeAs-42622 phase.  相似文献

The lithium dihydrogen phosphate LiH2PO4 has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electrical impedance spectroscopy. The Rietveld refinements based on the XRD patterns show that the compound is crystallized in the orthorhombic system with Pna21 space group, and the refined unit cell parameters are a = 6.2428 Å, b = 7.6445 Å, and c = 6.873 Å. The electrical properties were studied using complex impedance spectroscopy as a function of frequency (104–107 Hz) at various temperatures (300–400 K). The Nyquist plots are well fitted to an equivalent circuit consisting of a series of combination of grains and inhomogeneous electrode surface effect. The frequency dependence of the conductivity is interpreted in terms of Jonscher’s law. Moreover, the near value of the activation energies obtained from the equivalent circuit and analysis of M″ confirms that the transport is through ion hopping mechanism dominated by the motion of the proton in the structure of the investigated material.  相似文献

Transmission electron microscopy has been used to study ball milled and H cycled NaAlH4 with 10 mol% TiCl3. Isolated from the main phases in this hydrogen storage system, nanocrystalline aggregates of fcc TiH x (0≤x<0.67) were found. The value of x was determined based on the assumption of a linear increase of the TiH x lattice parameter by increasing H content. The size of the TiH x crystallites was in the range 10 to 20 nm, and the lattice parameter decreased from 4.22 Å in TiH0.67 to 4.10 Å in pure fcc Ti. Non-equilibrium ball milling and subsequent H cycling in combination with a small crystallite size are believed to make the TiH x phase stable. The present results are the first observations of fcc TiH x with low hydrogen content, and the measured fcc lattice parameter of Ti matches first-principles calculations.  相似文献

Nonstoichiometric Bi2WO6 photocatalyst with the composition of Bi2?+?x WO6?+?1.5x (?0.25 ≤ x ≤ 1) wa synthesized by a facile solid state reaction method. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV-vis absorption spectrum. The Bi2.5WO6.75 photocatalyst showed excellent visible-light-driven photocatalytic performance; nearly 100 % of RhB (10 ppm, pH?=?3?~?4) was decomposed within 25 min, which demonstrated that nonstoichiometric semiconductors could be an efficient visible-light-driven photocatalyst.  相似文献

We report a polycrystalline NaFeTiO4 prepared via conventional solid-state reaction route. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results and Rietveld refinement confirmed single-phase NaFeTiO4 having an orthorhombic unit cell with lattice parameters a = 9.17051 Å, b = 2.96310 Å, and c = 10.73676 Å and Pnma space group (No. 62). Energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) yielded sample stoichiometry that agrees well with its molecular formula. The surface morphology indicated a cylindrical rod-like microstructure comprising well-defined grains having variable dimension, i.e., diameter ~?250 to 350 nm and length ~?1 to 5 μm. Vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR/Raman) results indicated presence of FeO6 and TiO6 octahedra in good agreement with crystallographic study. Brunner-Emmet-Teller (BET) surface area measurement yielded a specific surface area as high as ~?4.28 m2 g?1. Electrical impedance spectrum indicated presence of grains separated by well-defined grain boundaries in agreement with microstructural analysis. Electrical conductivity of the material was estimated to be ~?6.05 × 10?6 S cm?1. The structural model obtained using XRD and vibrational spectrum results suggest layered tunnel/cage structure of cage dimension ~?4.65 Å, along [010] direction in the xz plane, which is larger than the size of Na+ ion (0.98 Å). So, easier Na+ migration feasibility exists in NaFeTiO4 crystal lattice making it a good candidate for electrode applications.  相似文献

Manganese oxides of spinel structure, LiMn2O4, Li1-x Ni x Mn2O4 (0.25 ≤ x≤ 0.75), and NiMn2O4, were studied by EDS, XRD, SEM, magnetic (M-H, M-T), and XPS measurements. The samples were synthesized by an ultrasound-assisted sol-gel method. EDS analysis showed good agreement with the formulations of the oxides. XRD and Rietveld refinement of X-ray data indicate that all samples crystallize in the Fd3m space group characteristic of the cubic spinel structure. The a-cell parameter ranges from a = 8.2276 Å (x = 0) to a = 8.3980 Å (x = 1). SEM results showed particle agglomerates ranging in size from 2.3 μm (x = 0) down to 0.8 μm (x = 1). Hysteresis magnetization vs. applied field curves in the 5–300K range was recorded. ZFC-FC measurements indicate the presence of two magnetic paramagnetic-ferrimagnetic transitions. The experimental Curie constant was found to vary from 5 to 7.1 cm3 K mol?1 for the range of compositions studied (0 ≤ x ≤ 1). XPS studies of these oxides revealed the presence of Ni2+, Mn3+, and Mn4+. The experimental Ni/Mn atomic ratios obtained by XPS were in good agreement with the nominal values. A linear relationship of the average oxidation state of Mn with Ni content was observed. The oxide’s cation distributions as a function of Ni content from x = 0 ?Li+[Mn3+Mn4+]O4 to x = 1 \( {\mathrm{Ni}}_{0.35}^{2+}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{0.65}^{3+}\left[{\mathrm{Ni}}_{0.65}^{2+}\right.\left.{\mathrm{Mn}}_{1.35}^{3+}\right]{\mathrm{O}}_4 \) were proposed.  相似文献

Here we report for the first time, a detailed synthesis mechanism of GdCrO3 nanoparticles using a surfactant-less hydrothermal method. We also report a detailed study of their structural and optical properties. The selected area electron diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction studies of GdCrO3 nanoparticles show pure phase and excellent crystallinity with average particle size around 50–60 nm. The structural analysis indicates a distorted perovskite crystal structure with lattice parameter values of a = 5.3099 ± 0.0022, b = 5.51793 ± 0.00226, and c = 7.60426 ± 0.00315 Å. For the first time, we report the room temperature UV–vis, photoluminescence, FTIR, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results and their detailed analysis for GdCrO3. These results provide optical signatures of the formation of GdCrO3 where both Gd3+ and Cr3+ play dominant role in different frequency regions.  相似文献

The Ru-Ru spin-singlet formation in La2 ? x L n x RuO5 (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy) was investigated by measurements of the specific heat and magnetic susceptibility. After subtraction of the lattice contribution from the specific heat (C p ), similar excess entropy values were obtained for all compounds. These entropies can be explained by the formation of antiferromagnetic Ru-spin dimers at low temperatures and provide a lower estimate for the intradimer exchange strength. Pronounced changes in the transition temperatures and a broadening of the corresponding peak in C p were observed. These changes depend on the rare-earth element and are due to local structural changes and heterogeneities caused by the substitution. The magnetic susceptibilities can be described by the sum of a rare-earth paramagnetic moment and the susceptibility of the unsubstituted La2RuO5. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed for various compounds to investigate the origin of the magnetic transition and the relationship between structural changes and the spin-dimerization temperature. The combination of the present results with previous structural investigations supports the model of a spin-pairing of the Ru moments which occurs as a reason of the structural phase transition in La2 ? x L n x RuO5.  相似文献

It is demonstrated that 50% substitution of vanadium for molybdenum in the pyrochlore lattice of the complex oxide Y2(V x Mo1 ? x )2O7 results in a transition from the spin-glass ground state (at x = 0) to the ferromagnetic state in Y2VMoO7 (a = 10.1645(2) Å, T C = 55 K). The Gd2V0.67Mo1.33O7 compound (a = 10.2862(3) Å) is a ferromagnet with T C (84 K) exceeding that of undoped Gd2MnO2O7.  相似文献

The present paper reports the synthesis, crystal structure, 13C and 111Cd cross-polarization magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance(CP-MAS-NMR) analysis and ac conductivity for a new organic–inorganic hybrid salt, [C7H12N2][CdCl4]. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P\( \overline 1 \), with unit cell dimensions: a?=?7.1050(3) Å, b?=?8.9579(3) Å, c?=?9.4482(3) Å, α?=?81.415(1)°, β?=?89.710(2)°, γ?=?85.765(1)°, V?=?592.97(4) Å3, and Z?=?2. The asymmetric unit is composed of one-2,4-diammonium toluene cation and one [CdCl4]2? anion. The Cd atom is in a slightly distorted octahedra coordination environment. Its structure can be described by infinite chains of CdCl6 octahedron linked to organic cations by a strong charge-assisted N–H???Cl interactions in order to build organic–inorganic layers staked along \( \left[ {0\overline 1 1} \right] \) direction. The solid state 13C CP-MAS-NMR spectra has shown seven isotropic resonances, confirming the existence of seven non-equivalent carbon atoms, which is consistent with crystal structure determined by X-ray diffraction. As for 111Cd MAS-NMR, it has shown one cadmium site with isotropic chemical shift observed at 167.2 ppm. The complex impedance of the compound has been investigated in the temperature range of 403–460 K and in the frequency range of 200 Hz–5 MHz. The impedance plots have shown semicircle arcs at different temperatures and an electrical equivalent circuit has been proposed to explain the impedance results. The circuits consist of the parallel combination of bulk resistance R p and constant phase elements.  相似文献

Indium oxide-multi-walled carbon nanotubes (In2O3-MWCNTs) were prepared by sol-gel method for DSSCs. The synthesis of indium oxide (In2O3) was carried out by dissolving indium chloride (InCl3) in a solvent of 2-methoxyethanol. Different annealing temperatures of 400, 450, 500, 550, and 600 °C were proposed in this study. The changes in the structural properties were analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) analysis. The XRD spectrum estimated the average crystallite sizes of 3 nm for each sample. AFM results indicated very rough surface area of the films where it increased linearly from 1.8 to 11 nm as the annealing temperature increases. The In2O3-MWCNTs-based DSSC exhibited good photovoltaic performance with power conversion efficiency (η), photocurrent density (J sc ), open circuit voltage (V oc ), and fill factor (FF) of 1.13 %, 5.5 mA/cm2, 0.53 V, and 0.42, respectively. Even though the film annealed at 450 °C exhibited low τ eff, it achieved the greatest D eff of 29.67 cm2 s?1 which provides an efficient pathway for the photogenerated electrons with minimum electron recombination loss that increased the J sc and V oc in the DSSC. The obtained structural and electron transport analysis was proposed as a suitable benchmark for In2O3-MWCNTs-based dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSCs) application. Hence, this study suggests that the optimum temperature for In2O3-MWCNTs is at annealing temperature of 450 °C prepared via sol-gel method.  相似文献

In this work, we research two series of Mn-substituted bismuth molybdates: Bi26-2xMn2xMo10O69-d and Bi26Mo10-2yMn2yO69-d. The synthesis of powder samples is performed by the conventional solid state technology. Samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and chemical analysis methods, and it is shown that single phase Bi26-2xMn2xMo10O69-d and Bi26Mo10-2yMn2yO69-d complex oxides form up to x = 0.8 and y = 0. We use densitometry, grain size measurements and scanning electron microscopy to study the morphology of ceramic pellets and powders. This issue reveals formation of dense ceramic samples with low porosity (≤3%). High-temperature X-ray diffraction is used to define small deviation of unit cell parameters from their linear dependence on temperature. Measurement of electrical conductivity is made using a.c. impedance spectroscopy method. We observe the decrease of electrical conductivity in Bi26-2xMn2xMo10O69-d series depending on dopant concentration.  相似文献

The conditions of synthesizing a new Ag6SnS4Br2 compound were studied. The crystallographic parameters of the unit cell were determined as follows: space group Pnma, a=6.67050(10) Å, b=7.82095(9) Å, c=23.1404(3) Å, and Z=4. The total electrical conductivity and its ionic component were measured by a dc probe method in the temperature range 210–380 K. Kinks in the conductivity curve and the differential thermogram of heating the alloy were revealed at 235 K. It was concluded that the mass and charge transfers in the compacted Ag6SnS4Br2 alloy powder have an intragrain character.  相似文献

Epitaxial c-oriented Bi2Te3 films 1.2 μm in thickness are grown by the hot wall method for a low supersaturation of the vapor phase over the surface of mica substrates. The hexagonal unit cell parameters a = 4.386 Å and c = 30.452 Å of the grown films almost coincide with the corresponding parameters of stoichiometric bulk Bi2Te3 crystals. At T = 100 K, the Hall concentration of electrons in the films is on the order of 8 × 1018 cm?3, while the highest values of the thermoelectric coefficient (α ≈ 280 μV K?1) are observed at temperatures on the order of 260 K. Under impurity conduction conditions, conductivity σ of the films increases upon cooling in inverse proportion to the squared temperature. In the temperature range 100–200 K, thermoelectric power parameter α2σ of Bi2Te3 films has values of 80–90 μW cm?1 K?2.  相似文献

Single crystals of the K3H(SO4)2 compound are investigated using X-ray diffraction on Xcalibur S and Bruker diffractometers. The structure of the low-temperature monoclinic phase is refined (space group C2/c, z = 4, a = 14.698(1) Å, b = 5.683(1) Å, c = 9.783(1) Å, β = 103.01(1)°, T = 293 K, Bruker diffractometer), the structural phase transition is revealed, and the structure of the high-temperature trigonal phase is determined (space group R \(\bar 3\) m, z = 3, a = 5.73(1) Å,c = 21.51(1) Å,T = 458 K, Xcalibur diffractometer).  相似文献

Experimental studies of the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of the three compounds Pr0.5X0.1Sr0.4MnO3 (X = Ce, Eu and Y) are reported. Our samples were synthesized using the Pechini sol–gel method. X-ray powder diffraction at room temperature indicates that our materials crystallize in the orthorhombic structure with Pbnm space group. The compounds undergo a second-order magnetic transition from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic state around their own Curie temperatures T C ~ 310, 270 and 230 K for X = Ce, Eu and Y, respectively. A considerable magnetocaloric effect (MCE) is observed around room temperature. The maximum values of magnetic entropy change ?S max are 3.54, 3.81 and 2.99 J/kgK for the samples with X = Ce, Eu and Y, respectively, when a magnetic field of 5 T was applied. The relative cooling power (RCP) values for the corresponding materials are 246.60, 261.66 and 298 J/kg. It is shown that for Pr0.5X0.1Sr0.4MnO3 the exponent n and the magnetic entropy change follow a master curve behavior. With the universal scaling curve, the experimental ?S at several temperatures and fields can be extrapolated.  相似文献

The structural geometry change in the perovskite-type N(CH3)4CdBr3 single crystal near the phase transition temperature of T C = 390 K was investigated using magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. For 1H and 13C nuclei, the temperature dependences of their chemical shift, spectral intensity, and spin–lattice relaxation time (T ) in the rotating frame were obtained and analyzed. While the chemical shift and T of 1H showed change near T C, those of 13C did not. In addition, the 113Cd spin–lattice relaxation time T 1 in the laboratory frame near T C show no evidence of anomalous change near the phase transition temperature, which coincides with the measured changes in the 1H T . The driving force for this phase transition was connected to the 1H in the CH3 groups.  相似文献

The unit cell parameters a, b, and c of [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 have been measured by x-ray diffraction in the temperature range 80–293 K. Temperature dependences of the thermal expansion coefficients αa, αb, and αc along the principal crystallographic axes and of the unit cell thermal expansion coefficient αV were determined. It is shown that the a=f(T), b=f(T), and c=f(T) curves exhibit anomalies in the form of jumps at phase transition temperatures T1=161 K and T2=181 K and that the phase transition occurring at T3=276 K manifests itself in the a=f(T) and b=f(T) curves as a break. A slight anisotropy in the coefficient of thermal expansion of the crystal was revealed. The phase transitions occurring at T1=161 K and T2=181 K in [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 were established to be first-order.  相似文献

The spinel structure of lithium titanate Li4Ti5O12 is refined by the Rietveld full-profile analysis with the use of x-ray and neutron powder diffraction data. The distribution and coordinates of atoms are determined. The Li4Ti5O12 compound is studied at high temperatures by differential scanning calorimetry and Raman spectroscopy. The electrical conductivity is measured in the high-temperature range. It is shown that the Li4Ti5O12 compound with a spinel structure undergoes two successive order-disorder phase transitions due to different distributions of lithium atoms and cation vacancies (□, V) in a defect structure of the NaCl type: (Li)8a[Li0.33Ti1.67]16dO4 → [Li□]16c[Li1.33Ti1.67]16dO4 → [Li1.330.67]16c[Ti1.670.33]16dO4. The low-temperature diffusion of lithium predominantly occurs either through the mechanism ... → Li(8a) → V(16c) → V(8a) → ... in the spinel phase or through the mechanism ... → Li(16c) → V(8a) → V(16c) → ... in an intermediate phase. In the high-temperature phase, the lithium cations also migrate over 48f vacancies: ... Li(16c) → V(8a, 48f) → V(16c) → ....  相似文献
