We present the analytic spherically symmetric solution of the Einstein equations, which has de Sitter asymptotics for both r and r 0. This two-lambda spherically symmetric solution is globally regular. At the range of mass parameter Mcr1 < M < Mcr2 it has three horizons and describes a neutral black hole whose singularity is replaced by a cosmological constant of Planck or GUT scale, at the background of small . Global structure of space-time contains an infinite sequence of black and white holes, de Sitter-like past and future regular cores (with + at r 0) replacing singularities, asymptotically de Sitter external universes (with for r ), and spacelike infinities. In the range of mass parameter M < Mcr1 we have a one-horizon solution describing recovered selfgravitating particle-like structure at the background of small , and for M > Mcr2 another one-horizon configuration which can be called de Sitter bag. The solutions with M = Mcr1 and M = Mcr2 represent two extreme states of a neutral nonsingular cosmological black hole.  相似文献

As in Part I of this paper, we consider the problem of the energy exchanges between two subsystems, of which one is a system of harmonic oscillators, while the other one is any dynamical system ofn degrees of freedom. Such a problem is of interest both for the realization of holonomic constraints of classical mechanics, and for the freezing of the internal degrees of freedom in molecular collisions. The results of Part I, which referred to the particular case =1, are here extended to the more difficult case >1. For the rate of energy transfer we find exponential estimates of Nekhoroshev's type, namely of the form exp (*/)1/a , where is a positive real number giving the size of the involved frequencies, and * anda are constants. For the particularly relevant constanta we find in generala=1/ however, in the particular case when the frequencies are equal (collision of identical molecules), we finda=1 independently of , as conjectured by Jeans in the year 1903.  相似文献

A short review of theoretical and experimental studies concerning the photoexcited florescence and Raman scattering of light for a substance in a space containing small material bodies is presented. Calculations of the radiativetransition probability for atoms (molecules) in the vicinity of bodies with a size much smaller than the light wavelength are performed. The probabilities of the singlephoton and doublephoton transitions are shown to increase by factors of 9 and 81 in the vicinity of a nanosize sphere with dielectric constant ||\ 1. The probability of a radiative transition in the vicinity of the vertex of a conic needle bearing up against a plane (both with || 1) increases by factors of (/R in)2 and (/R in)4 for singlephoton and doublephoton transitions, respectively (R in is the curvature radius for the needle vertex). This theoretical result is suggested as an explanation of the effect of increasing the radiation process intensity in the experiments carried out in the studies cited below.  相似文献

Following Bondi static, spherically symmetric equilibrium configurations with a core and an envelope have been considered. It has been shown that for any configurations with nonnegative pressure and density and with a surface red-shiftz s 4.77 arbitrarily large central red-shiftsz c are possible in the limiting case of arbitrarily large radius. The effects of imposition of further constraints in the form of a real speed of sound not exceeding the speed of light are also examined. It is seen that for a given limiting sound-to-light-speed ratio . (i) There exists a limiting surface red-shiftz s() 1.71. (ii) A configuration withz s >z s() is not possible, (iii) A configuration withz s=z s() has a unique and finitez c=z c(). (iv) Forz s<z s() arbitrarily large central red-shifts can be obtained for configurations with arbitrarily large radii.  相似文献

The spectrum of the mass operator on the soliton sectors of the anisotropic (|ø|4)2—and the (ø4)2—quantum field models in the two phase region is analyzed. It is proven that, for small enough >0, the mass gapm s() on the soliton sector is positive, andm s()=0(–1). This involves estimatingm s() from below by a quantity () analogous to the surface tension in the statistical mechanics of two dimensional, classical spin systems and then estimating () by methods of Euclidean field theory. C-extended oscillator algebras generalizing the Calogero—Vasiliev algebra,where C is the cyclic group of order , are studied both from mathematical andapplied viewpoints. Casimir operators of the algebras are obtained and used toprovide a complete classification of their unitary irreducible representations underthe assumption that the number operator spectrum is nondegenerate. Deformedalgebras admitting Casimir operators analogous to those of their undeformedcounterparts are looked for, yielding three new algebraic structures. One of themincludes the Brzezi´nski et al. deformation of the Calogero—Vasiliev algebra as aspecial case. In its bosonic Fock-space representation, the realization ofC-extended oscillator algebras as generalized deformed oscillator ones is shown toprovide a bosonization of several variants of supersymmetric quantum mechanics:parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics of order p = – 1 for any , as wellas pseudosupersymmetric and orthosupersymmetric quantum mechanics of ordertwo for = 3.  相似文献

We study ergodic Jacobi matrices onl 2(Z), and prove a general theorem relating their a.c. spectrum to the spectra of periodic Jacobi matrices, that are obtained by cutting finite pieces from the ergodic potential and then repeating them. We apply this theorem to the almost Mathieu operator: (H , , u)(n)=u(n+1)+u(n–1)+ cos(2n+)u(n), and prove the existence of a.c. spectrum for sufficiently small , all irrational 's, and a.e. . The one-dimensional basic contact process is a Markov process for which particles give birth on vacant nearest neighbor sites at rate >0 and particles die at rate one. We introduce a one-dimensional contact process with a single inhomogeneous site: the evolution is as above except that a particle located at the origin does not die. Let c be the critical value of the basic contact process. We show that for c the upper invariant measures of the inhomogeneous contact process and the basic contact process coincide except at a finite number of sites. The behavior at = c is much more intersting: the upper invariant measure of the inhomogeneous contact process concentrates on configurations with infinitely many particles, while it is known that the critical basic contact process dies out. So a single inhomogeneity may provoke a perturbation unbounded in space. As a byproduct of our analysis we prove that the connectivity probabilities of the critical basic contact process are not summable. We also give a biological interpretation of this model.  相似文献

We study the almost Mathieu operator: (H , , u)(n)=u(n+1)+u(n-1)+ cos (2n+)u(n), onl 2 (Z), and show that for all ,, and (Lebesgue) a.e. , the Lebesgue measure of its spectrum is precisely |4–2|. In particular, for ||=2 the spectrum is a zero measure cantor set. The object of the present paper is to study the MHD effects on the laminar flow of a viscous, incompressible and conducting fluid in an annulus with arbitrary time-varying pressure gradient and arbitrary initial velocity in presence of a radial magnetic field. We prove analyticity theorems in the coupling constant for the Hubbard model at half-filling. The model in a single renormalization group slice of index i is proved to be analytic in for ||c/i for some constant c, and the skeleton part of the model at temperature T (the sum of all graphs without two point insertions) is proved to be analytic in for ||c/|log T|2. These theorems are necessary steps towards proving that the Hubbard model at half-filling is not a Fermi liquid (in the mathematically precise sense of Salmhofer).  相似文献

The contact process onZ has one phase transition; let c be the critical value at which the transition occurs. Let N be the extinction time of the contact process on {0,...,N}. Durrett and Liu (1988), Durrett and Schonmann (1988), and Durrett, Schonmann, and Tanaka (1989) have respectively proved that the subcritical, supercritical, and critical phases can be characterized using a large finite system (instead ofZ) in the following way. There are constants 1() and 2() such that if < c , lim N N /logN = 1/1(); if > c , lim N log N /N = 2(); if = c , lim N N /N= and lim N N /N 4=0 in probability. In this paper we consider the asymmetric contact process onZ when it has two distinct critical values c1< c2. The arguments of Durrett and Liu and of Durrett and Schonmann hold for < c1 and > c2. We show that for [ c1< c2), lim N N /N=-1/, (where i is an edge speed) and for = c2, lim N log N /logN=2 in probability.  相似文献

The effective stimulated emission cross-section spectra, em,eff(), the stimulated emission cross-section spectra, em(), and the excited-state absorption cross-section spectra, ex()=em()–em,eff(), of the conjugated polymers poly(2,5-dioctadecyloxy-paraphenylene-ethynylene-co-2,5-thienyl) (OPT) and poly(2,5-dioctadecyloxy-paraphenylene-ethynylene-co-2,5-pyridinyl) (OPP) in tetrahydrofuran are determined in the fluorescence region. em,eff() determined by a fluorescence amplification technique is found to be small compared to em() indicating that ex() is nearly as large as em(). The laser excitation to the wide inhomogeneously broadened S1-absorption band leads to the formation of spectrally structured inhomogeneously broadened lattice relaxed exciton conformations extending on average over two monomer units which are thought to be responsible for upper-to-lower-state stimulated emission and lower-to-upper-state (excited-state) absorption.  相似文献

The contact process is a model of spread of an infectious disease. Combining with the result of ref. 1, we prove that the critical exponents take on the mean-field values for sufficiently high dimensional nearest-neighbor models and for sufficiently spread-out models with d>4:() c as c and ()( c)–1 as c, where () and () are the spread probability and the susceptibility of the infection respectively, and c is the critical infection rate. Our results imply that the upper critical dimension for the contact process is at most 4.  相似文献

The classical non-linear Schrödinger equation associated with a symmetric Lie algebra =km is known to possess a class of conserved quantities which from a realization of the algebrak []. The construction is now extended to provide a realization of the Kac-Moody algebrak[, –1] (with central extension). One can then define auxiliary quantities to obtain the full algebra [, –1]. LetM be a complete Riemannian surface with constant curvature –1, infinite volume, and a finitely generated fundamental group. Denote by (M) the lowest eigenvalue of the Laplacian onM, and let M be the associated eigenfunction. We estimate the size of (M) and the shape of M by a finite procedure which has an electrical circuit analogue. Using the Margulis lemma, we decomposeM into its thick and thin parts. On the compact thick components, we show that M varies from a constant value by no more thanO( ). Sum-frequency mixing (3=1+2) of UV laser radiation (1=266 nm and 213 nm) and tunable coherent infrared light (2=1.2–2.6 m) in lithium borate (LBO) generates radiation at short wavelengths (3=188–242 nm). The UV radiation at 1 is produced by the fourth and fifth harmonic of a pulsed Nd-YAG laser. The infrared light is generated with an optical parametric oscillator of beta barium borate. The phase-matching angle is measured as function of 3 and compared with calculated values. For UV laser radiation at shorter wavelengths (173 nm1213 nm) the calculations predict an extension of the tuning range of the sum-frequency generated at 3 to wavelengths as short as the LBO transmission cutoff at 160 nm.  相似文献

We reduce the problem of finding the limiting value of the fiber-ensemble averaged degree of radiation polarization of in an infinitely long optical fiber to the problem of distributions (including joint distributions) of random complex amplitudes E(,z) of the electric field in an optical wave for different wavelengths and the fiber length z tending to infinity. We prove that the random complex vector E(,z) is uniformly distributed on a three-dimensional sphere if z. It is also proved that the random vectors E(1,z) and E(2,z) are independent if 12 and z, whence it follows that their joint distribution is entirely determined by the distribution of each of them. The result obtained allows us to find the limiting average values of various quantities describing the radiation upon passing an optical fiber with a random twisting of the anisotropy axes. In particular, on the basis of this result, we show that the average degree of polarization of incoherent radiation upon passing a fiber with such random irregularities tends to zero as the optical-fiber length goes to infinity.  相似文献

We use an Evans-Gillan driving forceF d, together with isokinetic and isoenergetic constraint forcesF c, to drive steady heat currents in periodic systems of 4 and 32 hard spheres. The additional driving and constraint forces produce curved trajectories as well as additional streaming and collisional contributions to the momentum and energy fluxes. Here we develop an analytic treatment of the collisions so that the simulation becomes approximately ten times faster than our previous numerical treatment. At low field strengths, for less than 0.4, where is the hard-sphere diameter, the 32-sphere conductivity is consistent with Alder, Gass, and Wainwright's 108-sphere value. At higher field strengths the conductivity varies roughly as 1/2, in parallel with the logarithmic dependence found previously for three hard disks.  相似文献
